work sounds horrible

Caite-chan October 24th, 2018 12:05 PM

I'm not looking forward to going back to work though I miss everyone.

professor plum October 24th, 2018 12:13 PM

I usually wake up between 8 and 8:30 AM. I'm terrible at waking up tho.

Sawsbuck October 24th, 2018 12:14 PM

I'm now working 3 days a week yay
I'm lucky to have a 1pm start time for my job (even though I woke up at 12:30 today and was late ._.)

Caite-chan October 24th, 2018 12:44 PM

I'm all over the place with my schedule...open, mid or close.

TY October 24th, 2018 8:51 PM

8am till 5pm here, 5 days a week

colours October 24th, 2018 9:51 PM

I just want next week to fly by because that's going to be my most stressful week due to changes at my job.

Can't wait until my job transfer is done and then I'll be significantly less stressed. Hopefully.

Sothis October 25th, 2018 9:18 AM

I'm still waiting for social services to contact me before I can.
Waitlists :x

professor plum October 25th, 2018 9:28 AM

Today I’ve been dealing with getting my residence officially updated to Louisiana. Just got my license, then I have to get my registration, and finally get my car inspected.

Sothis October 25th, 2018 11:03 AM

Urf I'm tired and want to sleep but my step father is using power tools.

Caite-chan October 25th, 2018 11:08 AM

Hate it when you wanna nap but everyone in the world has to do the noisiest thing they can do at the same time.

It's the worst.
And it's an apartment so the walls are thin ;_;

FlameChrome October 25th, 2018 11:38 AM

Everyday i come here lazy to read what was said before hand. Anyways, thin walls, they are the worst

Sothis October 25th, 2018 11:41 AM

Don't worry I am too, I just pop in and say random shit.

Sylphiel October 25th, 2018 11:53 AM

Not so much the walls here, but the ceiling, since I'm in one of the bottom condos in this building...

I'm convinced the people above me own a drumset or something similar. And whatever makes that noise (it's some very rhythmic thumping, and it's definitely coming from one of their rooms above) has been heard at like...4 AM before. Not loud enough to be heard well without utter silence, but still. Oh yeah, and the one time it happened in the early morning I could also feel it. Now that was weird.

Oh we have the same issue. Our upstairs neighbors seriously walk so heavy and they have a kid who jumps around all the time and unfortunately said kids bedroom is above mine
And they're always hammering or moving their furniture but if we do anything they holler at us

But enough to feel it is wild!

Sheep October 25th, 2018 6:19 PM

Hahaha that sucks..... ): This is why I love living in a house with no one but family above or below. Having random neighbors make noise at obnoxious hours is just tedious. Makes me nervous for when I finally move out into an apartment, lol.

Caite-chan October 25th, 2018 6:21 PM

The only thing that makes a lot of noise in my house is the cats running up and down the hall.

professor plum October 25th, 2018 6:33 PM

Yeah, in our last apartment we had two sets of neighbors. Both had a dog, and it was super loud when they would play with it. We live in a detached house now, and so that's nice. But I can still hear our neighbor's dog sometimes.

Our cats are pretty loud, too! haha.

Caite-chan October 25th, 2018 6:36 PM

I hate it when people would let their dogs bark for hours and it makes me glad I have cats.

colours October 25th, 2018 7:28 PM

My neighbours are quiet, and I prefer it that way. The last time I've had a loud neighbour was in my childhood years and that neighbour would just blast loud music to the point where the whole neighbourhood can hear it at like, 11 AM. :x

Interesting times.

bobandbill October 26th, 2018 12:29 AM

Currently have decent neighbours. Heard a tv playing couple times at reasonable hours, person downstairs knocks sometimes oddly but no annoying people or anything. And one of the neighbours has a cute cat Main thing is traffic from the road nearby as I'm not so high up, but it's alright at nighttime.

Previous one was not so ideal. Quieter area and while near a train line it was lower than the road so semi-shielded and barely any services at night. But a couple neighbours were troublesome. One in particular was bad, and the thing was they were in a different flat. @[email protected]

Family's house meanwhile had bushland as the backyard and a pretty quiet street on top of that, so main sources of noise were birds.

colours October 26th, 2018 1:58 AM

I live a few minutes near train tracks so you can imagine what my main source of noise would be. :P

I mean, I've grown used to it at this point.

Caite-chan October 26th, 2018 3:46 AM

I think it would be cool the first few times hearing the train and then get super annoying real fast.

professor plum October 26th, 2018 9:11 AM

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!

We used to live a mile or so away from a train, but could hear it every once in a while (late at night). It just took a bit of getting used to.
