Finished my Platinum playthrough:

Platinum Update #3
Spoiler:
So after grinding my team up to 55 (save for GOD, who I didnt really use in the league), I took on the league with a very very scared state of mind. This will be the first time I've ever beaten Platinum. So I have literally no idea what's in store other than Cynthia being unbelievably scary. Aaron's Yanmega was annoying but not a problem, I earthquaked his ace and Scizor. Ice Beamed his Vespiquen. and Fly'd his Heracross. So not too bad really.
Bertha nearly beat me. If I didn't stock up on revives and hyper potions I wouldn't have beat her. Her Golem, Whiscash, and Gliscor were no problem. But her Hippowdon Yawned Rupert and made him harder to use. So I had to shift around until I eventually had some mons take hits to heal him up again to decimate her once more with Surf. Her Rhyperior included.
Flint was a cakewalk, to put it into perspective, Earthquaked every single mon and one shotted them.
Lucian was the most difficult, I couldn't really touch his Gallade with Jenkins. So I had to pray earthquake would crush him, which it did. then the next 60% of his team was one-shotted by Jenkins. His bronzong being an exception due to having the steel typing.

Then...Cynthia. She wasn't as scary as I expected. About 70% of her team couldn't lay a finger on Beetleborg. And by the grace of God, Rupert one shotted her Garchomp with Ice Beam. Which made me so happy. Her biggest problems were Milotic and Togekiss. But they soon fell. and I stood victorious, and boy did it feel good.

Sorry for not updating. My DS wouldn't work with Leaf Green. I tried for so long to get it to work. So after trying for so long, and many save file deletions, I said screw it and used an emulator. Anyway, here's the update.

I started the game, got the potion form the PC, went and Got Charmander. But before getting the Parcel and giving it to Oak, I stopped by the Pokemon Center, saved, and exported a save state to hack in a Kangaskhan, cause no way am I dealing with the Safari Zone, I'm sorry. I did the parcel thing, got a Pikachu, and grinded to beat the rival on Route 22 then for Brock. Grinded to 13 cause that is when Charmander gets Metal Claw. Here is how the gym went down.

Spoiler:

Brock sent out Geodude, I send out Kanker the Kangaskhan.

Kanker used Bite
Geodude used Defense Curl

Kanker used Bite
Geodude used Tackle

Kanker used Comet Punch. Hits 1 time
Geodude faints

Brock sends out Onix, switch to Reptar the Charmander

Onix used Bind
Reptar used Metal Claw
Reptar is hurt by Bind

Onix used Tackle
Reptar used Metal Claw
Reptar is hurt by Bind

Onix used Rock Tomb
Reptar faints

I send out Kanker

Kanker used Bite
Onix used Rock Tomb

Kanker used Bite
Onix faints

I win the gym fight

Next stop, Sandshrew and the second gym.

Yep, there shouldn't be a problem with that.

Just to add on to JanP's message, depends on the hack, as we do not have dex's for Fakemon hacks, however full dex hacks, (blazeblack, Hard Gold, etc) are not a problem.

Cyrus, Team Galactic, and Giratina have been defeated! Though to be fair, it took quite a bit of luck with flinches... anyways, with 7 badges, it’s almost time to face the devil itself- Cynthia’s Garchomp. And since my entire team is super under leveled... I’m a bit scared.

Alright, I definitely should have done this through multiple posts instead of one giant one.

We start by moving to Littleroot. We meet May and help Professor Birch who was being attacked by a Poochyena. After beating said Poochyena The professor takes us to his lab and we get our first Pokemon Treecko. We have the battle with May on route 103 and then catch the elemental fang Poochyena that she shows us on route 101 for the sake of having an HM slave.

We make our way to Petalburg to meet our dad and then help Wally catch a Ralts. We then travel to Petalburg woods and fight off a team Magma member. We reach Rustboro and catch a Skitty on route 116. Roxanne is no problem as Treecko destroys her team effortlessly. We then (oh god I've realized that almost every sentence up to this point starts with 'We') go to Rusturf tunnel and stop a team Magma grunt from stealing Mr. Briney's Wingull. In turn, Mr. Briney takes us to Dewford.

After arriving at Dewford, we head for the gym, and during a gym trainer battle Treecko evolves. Brawly's team suffers a similar fate to Roxanne's, and afterwards meet up with Steven in Granite Cave. Mr. Briney takes us to Slateport were we deal with the team Magma invasion of the city's museum and get shown off by the one contest girl whose name fails me.

Our next team member, Voltorb, is caught on route 110 and while lose to May the first time we fight her on this route, we grind a bit and defeat her on the second time. The Mauville city Wally battle is as easy as you would expect it to be. The Wattson battle took a while, but at this point Grovyle has Leaf Blade so we end up prevailing. A Numel is caught on route 112 as we make pursuit of the team Magma grunts who are trying to get to Mt. Chimney.

The part that I found the most difficult (Fallarbor town to the weather station) starts in Fallarbor town we learn that Professor Cosmo has been captured by team Magma and being held hostage in Meteor Falls. A Swablu is caught along the way and upon reaching the falls we have a battle against team Magma admin Tabitha and then head to Mt. Chimney were we battle Tabitha again along with the Team Magma leader Maxie. After that, we head to Lavaridge where Numel completely destroys Flannery.

We then head back to Petalburg where Grovyle barely wins against Slaking. Because none of the Pokemon we have at this point can use surf we have to catch a random Zigzagoon in order to get past route 118. Steven the whisks us off to the Southern Island where we get Latios and battle Team Magma admin Courtney. We then head to the Weather Instite and then someone (in this case Voltorb) finally evolves. Another battle with Tabitha ensues, with them giving us hints to go to Mt. Pyre.

'Nother battle with May, Steven shows us how to scare off the Kecleon blocking the way to Winona's gym. Grovyle evolves, we beat Winona, and then evolve Skitty. We then travel to Mt. Pyre but Oh No, Team Magma has the Red Orb and stole a submarine. We then raid their hideout but they get away. We then travel to Mossdeep, at some point which I had forgot Swablu and Numel evolve, and we grab a Snorunt from Shoal Cave.

We obliterate the twins in literally three turns and then a laser happens. We get to Seafloor Cavern in which Maxie releases Groudon who then proceeds to play one of the scariest themes in the games to date. We corner it in the Cave of Origin and Masterball it in the most anticlimactic way possible. This is then followed by me annihilating Wallace's team.

With them all gone we go to victory road, Snorunt evolves, and we beat Wally. The elite four didn't end up being that difficult although we lost to Steven's Metagross the first time. The second time however, we ended up winning and became champion. After that, we have the battle against May right where the first one took place.

So Arcanine is a HG exclusive so could I have a refill for that? To be preferably something I can get before the second gym cause I’m not really wanting to have to completely solo with just Geodude especially when trying to get through sprout tower. Thanks

Update #7 on Platinum

Plot
Spoiler:
After getting my final badge with Katie’s Earthquake and pretty much nothing else, I set off for Victory Road, which is where I have to say, I forgot how bad HMs were in gen 4. You need five HMs to get through Victory Road. I can maybe understand needing to bring an HM slave, but I shouldn’t need to ditch two team members to get through it (though I just got rid of Hidden Power on Medicham for Rock Smash). At least in gen 6, you usually didn’t need more than one HM move per route. Anyways, I made it to the top of the Pokemon League, and now I’m scared- I need to level everyone up about 10 levels to even be close to a safe level to not get completely killed. Hmm....
