charge your phone

so how often do you guys charge your phone? is it nightly? when it hits a certain percentage?

Nah April 4th, 2019 4:24 AM

Nearly every day. Usually don't like to let it drop to 20% or less.

tokyodrift April 4th, 2019 8:40 AM

every night before bed unless i have to charge it before then.

Sami April 4th, 2019 10:52 AM

i only charge it when it is at 0%

FlameChrome April 4th, 2019 12:05 PM

usually charge it the night before the school day, due to it can be fully charged during school and i can do stuff on it without worrying about battery life

Sylphiel April 4th, 2019 1:25 PM

Either 20% or if I know I'm going to be out and want to make sure I have enough of a charge. Usually the former though because I tend to set my phone aside and forget about it for a bit.

starseed galaxy auticorn April 4th, 2019 1:50 PM

I usually charge mine every other day. It depends on how much I've been using it at times. I like to keep it at 100% a lot because if I go out and stuff without it being fully charged, it has a tendency to die faster. I also charge it in the car a lot if it's not fully charged.

Starlight April 4th, 2019 3:17 PM

All the damn time. Really need to get a new battery installed...

alisaie April 4th, 2019 3:29 PM

My battery isn't so great anymore either so it's every night (unless I'm off the next day) and depending on how often it's used during the day I have to charge it a bit midday. On my days off it varies on whether or not I charged it the night before and if I'm doing anything/bothered touching my phone, etc etc.

colours April 4th, 2019 4:39 PM

I try to charge it every night. I don't like it when it drops below 60% and I'd rather avoid that if at all possible.

Juno April 4th, 2019 4:59 PM

I charge it every night, but when I'm at work I also just leave it plugged in so when I leave my phone will be at full charge again. Is that bad? I heard something sometime a long while ago you shouldn't overcharge the battery, but I don't know if that was with a different type of battery.

Kitty April 4th, 2019 5:10 PM

I charge it every night and when it reaches down to 15% :')

Also @Juno I've heard about it and kinda..? I've left my phone at full charge only to have it rly hot the next time I touch it. Not completely sure tho

Sheep April 4th, 2019 5:14 PM

I guess once it hits 70% or so? Seeing the battery get any lower bothers me. :'< dk if it's better to let the battery die entirely from time to time but ya

It is indeed true, that's how my girlfriend destroyed the battery on my phone.

I charge it overnight and... honestly, once or twice a day in addition to that. I tend to mindlessly grind in mobage on the side while I do whatever it is I'm doing during the day, and it runs the battery down pretty quickly. If I notice it's dipped below 40%, I'll just swap my laptop charger to my phone for half an hour and it's usually good to go for a few more hours.

Brendino April 4th, 2019 11:41 PM

One of the first things that I do when I get home from work everyday is to go and charge my phone if it's anything less than 70%. I've got a wireless charger, so anytime I'm not using my phone I put it on there, so that pretty much anytime I'm at home, my phone is always at 90%+ battery. The only time I charge my phone overnight is if I see it drop below 60%, and I know I've got to go to work first thing in the morning.

I'm always so on top of charging my phone, that in the year and a half I've had it, I've probably let it drop below 20% only once or twice.

Tsutarja April 5th, 2019 7:55 PM

Usually i try to charge mine every night when I get to bed, but some nights I do not plug it in as there is often not times where I need to.

Yue Han April 5th, 2019 9:27 PM

I guess when it's around 50/60% is when I like to start charging it. I never leave it charging overnight because I don't want to kill the battery if it's already got to 100%.

Qibli April 6th, 2019 9:53 PM

I charge when the battery hits 20% or below and I often times leave it overnight so it be fully full in the morning

Percy April 8th, 2019 2:14 AM

i always charge it whenever i get the chance / or / when it dips around 30% since my phone has aged and the battery is hitting the dirt, too :(

Hmm charging at 50-60% is rather high. Does your battery just drop off quickly after that?

juliorain April 9th, 2019 8:39 AM

my phone is always dead tbh

~Z~ April 9th, 2019 5:05 PM

I charge my phone when the battery is at 45-50%, just enough to get close to 60-75%. Phones use lithium batteries nowadays and they last longer if they are between the 40-80% range. What you want to avoid is a long charge like 0%>100% (heat) and USB fast charge (more heat). The best is to do several small charges per day when it's possible

I know that because my last phone died after only 13 months of use and the battery in it wasn't removable

My old phone's did so maybe habit. But at the same time I just don't like my battery dropping below the 50% mark anyway.

speedroy April 14th, 2019 10:39 PM

I charge mine when it hits 40%.

Aemsy April 17th, 2019 1:32 AM

I have been using this mobile phone for 3 years, and I plan to buy a new one next year.

Bay April 17th, 2019 9:16 PM

I also feel a bit uncomfortable when my battery gets below 60%, so I would charge it when it gets to there. If I'm going out for a while, then I might charge it sooner than that.

moon April 18th, 2019 9:33 AM

Nightly. My iPhone 8 Plus used to have such fantastic battery life that I could use it for two days without charging though, despite Discord, Safari, Reddit and whatnot. However, since the last update... it's much worse ):
