Halloween Trick-or-Treating Event 2019

https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/xyani/gourgeist.gifTRICK OR TREATING EVENThttps://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/xyani/gourgeist.gif

Hello kids! It's this wonderful time of year again! Come to the Hau'oli Cemetery. We hid something great here. Can you find it? Or will you lose your mind before that?

General Rules:
  • This Challenge can be completed on any main series Pokemon game. Additionally, any ROM hack or fan game completed through 8 gym badges and an Elite Four counts as well.
  • The Challenge is completed once you beat the region’s Elite Four and the credits fully roll. Yes that means beating AZ or Brendan or running from Koko if that’s the type of thing your game makes you do.
  • This Challenge runs from 4th October to 3rd November 2019.
  • To make sure you've read the rules, your favourite candy is now traditional Czech candy -
    Tatranka
A six(!)-layer wafer cookie bar with a creamy chocolate filling and chocolate coating on the sides. This is the quintessential Czech treat, a staple of childhood here for decades.

    https://i.imgur.com/wSgJ011.jpg
(Hover over the name to see how it looks by the way).
  • Legendary and Mythical Pokémon are banned from this challenge. Pokémon Amie, Refresh, and the EXP Share are allowed in all games in which they exist
  • If you need to evolve a Pokémon through trading, feel free to do so. Otherwise, no trading allowed. Similarly, hacking or trading in items is allowed for evolutions, provided it is unavailable before the Elite Four in your game.
  • Map will be updated each day aproximovaly at 18:00 UTC, so be patient. There might be more updates though.

Spooky Challenge Rules
  • The "Challenge" here is that you will not only play the game of your choosing, but also will move on the map below. Not only that, you'll also be collecting berries. You'll be able to choose one or more berries in each section. These berries then determinate what rule(s) you get. When you sign up, choose your starting position, a trainer sprite (+ what gender/gen you want it from, also for Gen VI trainers please also specify what overworld sprite you want) that should represent you on the map in your sign-up and what type of berry you want to pick at the start. You can choose from red, blue and green.
  • After finishing each Gym, post in the thread and include the number of a room adjacent to your character and berries from the selection available in your current room. Your character will then move to the selected room the next time I update the thread and you will be given an additional rule(s), which you have to play with for the remainder of the run unless mentioned otherwise. This way, you will have unique (and hopefully fun) Challenge. If you want to check the list of your rules, just click on your character on the map and hover over the name of the rule.
  • After signing up or obtaining a badge, please wait until you are told what your new rule is before proceeding.
  • In the case of a contradiction between the rules here and the personalized rules from moving through the map, the text of the personalized rule prevails unless noted otherwise.
All of your rules stack. In the case of a direct contradiction, don't be afraid to ask Janp to settle the contradiction.
  • Players of games in the Alola region will not face gyms. Instead, they proceed to a new room after every Grand Trial, as well as after four specific Trials: the Trial of Verdant Cavern, the Trial of Wela Volcano Park, the Trial of the Abandoned Supermarket, and the Trial of Vast Poni Canyon.

FIND SPECIAL BERRY!
There are several special berries you can find during this event. These berries are so cursed that they will add new rule to every player currently participating in the event. These rules are also known as Global Rules and takes effect with your next update or from the moment you found out about them (your choice here).

___________________________________________________
Hidding my narration in a spoiler so I don't make a biblical post:

Spoiler:
Well, this was not the nicest start for a new adventure if I've got to be honest. My mom left me in the moving truck with all of our stuff inside during the long journey to our new home and I couldn't sleep in fear of something falling over me; I really hope I don't have to do this ever again. We just moved to Littleroot Town in Hoenn, the region in which my father works as a Gym Leader. I had no pokemon nor any experience with them by the time.
Littleroot was a quiet and small town, not many people lived here, and the biggest thing there was was the Pokemon Research Lab owned by Professor Birch, who lived nextdoor and wasn't in the town at the moment.
I went to the Professor's house and was welcomed by his wife and told me they had a son around my age and his room was on the second floor, he wasn't there, just a pokeball; but he appeared a little later anyways. His name was Brendan, he wore a weird hat and seemed a little dissapointed by the fact I was a girl.
I went outside, ready to head home, when a little girl told me there was someone being attacked by a wild pokemon so I went to take a look. For what it seemed the person under attack was a researcher. I rushed to the scene so maybe I could distract the attacking pokemon, but I wouldn't have expected to have my first pokemon battle under these circumstances. The researcher told me to pick one of the pokeballs in his bag, so I picked the orange chick, and I won easily. I brought the researcher to Birch's Lab just to found out he was Professor Birch himself. He thanked me and gave me the Torchic I used before as a gift. I called him Nugget.
I walked past Oldale Town, where I found Brendan helping his father on his research I had my first trainer battle against him and won against his Mudkip as well. Then I followed him to the Lab, where I got my Pokedex and some Pokeballs, I later got the running shoes from my mom and rushed to Oldale Town again, this time in direction to Petalburg City where my dad's gym is located.
I found a little green-haired pokemon named Ralts in Route 102 and named her Schala. For what I heard she's kinda rare to find, so I think I was lucky. R102 had many trainers, enough to get Nugget up to level 12. After some battling and leveling up I got to Petalburg where I found my dad, Gym Leader Norman, our emotive daughter-father moment was interrupted by a kid named Wally who I had to accompany to catch his first pokemon, which was... another Ralts. I then left Petalburg after promising my dad to battle him once I get stronger, but first I needed to go to Rustboro City. I started feeling good about myself now, but a rude fellow in sunglasses ruined everything by telling me I was not talented enough... whatever
I walked through Petalburg Woods in order to arrive to Rustboro, sadly, Schala couldn't make it through, she was beaten by a Nincada and now I'm left with Nugget alone again. I found a researcher in a formal suit searching for a Shroomish, suddenly he got attacked by a guy with a bandana who called himself a Team Aqua member, he only had one Pokemon though, a Poochyena and was beaten fairly easy, the Devon Researcher gave me a Great Ball as a thank you. I later caught a Shroomish since I needed at least one more pokemon to replace Schala, I called him Shroom.
Before challenging the gym, I tried training in Route 116, where I didnt expect to catch a thing, but left with a Skitty and an Abra I caught with the Great Ball I got earlier.
Roxanne's Gym was easy, I beat everything with Shroom's Absorb and Leech Seed, the most challenging pokemon was her Nosepass, but mostly because it was more resistant to Absorb than the other pokemon in the Gym.

Halloween Trick-or-Treating in Fire Red

https://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/9/9e/Ghost_I.png

PART 1

Well let's start this event with a short update.

Fire Red's start is really uneventful and not full of interesting Pokémon. I decided to have fun with character names this time and so this story will include the main character Spookz and his Rival Santa. Which lead to some great dialogues like this:
https://i.imgur.com/ToUfCOg.png

So after few minutes of deciding I picked Cyanide, the modest Bulbasaur as my starter, beat Santa, leveled up, beat Santa again and beat Brock without any problems which lead to Cyanide evolving. And that's pretty much it. I couldn't even catch Mankey because of the rule, so my team is just

And that's it for this part. The statue doesn't lie:

So to continue I'll take a Blue Berry and will update the map soon.

Halloween Trick-or-Treating Event - Pokémon Ultra Sun

Part I - The Overconfident Trainer

Rules
Starter-lock hex
Your Starter can no longer be used.

The first rule wasn't very bad - it just means I can't use my starter Pokémon. But I grew tired of the Alola starters anyway, so that's a blessing.

So, I chose Rowlet as my starter, already knowing I'd box him later, and spend a good amount of time using it until I was able to catch my first Pokémon: A Grubbin named Wylma.

Choosing Rowlet actually had a meaning, which was for the Hau battle that was about to unfold in Iki Town. Popplio is probably the only Alolan starter that doesn't have any super-effective moves against Bug-types in that battle, and that's good because I'm only gonna use Grubbin until I can get a new Pokémon in Hau'oli.

The battle was very straightforward (maybe not that much, but Hau didn't pose as a threat), and after many more tutorials, I arrived at last at the Trainer's School, where I caught a fresh new member for the team: Jade the Meowth.

This Meowth had Technician, which combined with Bite is great for this stage of the game. Emily was no match for it!

Back in Hau'oli again, now in the main city, I was able to encounter a good chunk of interesting Pokémon. I chose to catch a Furfrou because I've never used one before. Exciting! I tried to get an Abra too, but the thing teleported away as I was fearing; I'm not gonna spend my time on that.

Ilima's battle was also pretty easy, Meowth and Furfrow teamed up great together! - And also Fur Coat is a really good ability.

In Route 2, I caught a Makuhita, which I've also rarely used before, and named him Ben (a reference I hope someone will understand).

So with that army of a team, I think I'm set for the trial to come. Fought some Yungoos and Team Skull grunts along the way, and it was time to face Totem Gumshoos.

I got the TM for Brick Break inside Verdant Cavern and taught that to Makuhita. Two attacks were enough to take down Gumshoos, but Ben survived with only 1 HP! Anyway, the totem was defeated and a new Z-Crystal was acquired!

Next I'm moving to room 11 along with Cube, and I think I'll pick that blue berry...

Journey Diary:

Spoiler:
Day 2:
I left Rustboro's Gym with the Stone Badge and a happy team, but I didn't expect to have two different problems at the same time. First of all, the Devon Researcher I saved before was attacked by Team Aqua again, and a Grunt fled with his Goods to Rusturf Tunnel. As if that was not enough of a problem, Cheesecake, possessed by some ominous force, fled never to be seen again, so I was stuck with only three pokemon now and two losses.

I wanted to play vigilante and help the unfortunate Devon Researcher, so I headed to Rusturf Tunnel, were I found and old man who lost his pokemon Peeko inside Rusturf Tunnel as well. I entered the tunnel, escaping a plague of Whismurs until I found the Aqua Grunt with a Wingull, who was that old man's Peeko aparently. The Team Aqua Grunt had only a Poochyena, he was a little more challenging than the last one, though. It used Howl like four times but didn't manage to attack, it was taken down by Shroom, if I remember correctly.

I returned the Devon Goods to the researcher and he invited me to Devon Corporation, where I got the PokéNav, a small device that has a map and some thing called "Condition" that I don't know what is it for, a little later it would be updated so it could be able to make calls. Devon president, Mr. Stone asked me to deliver a Letter to his son Steven Stone (who I believe is the only person with a last name here), in Dewford, a small island in the south of Hoenn.

I was ready to head to Dewford when I found Brendan again, I tried to avoid him but he spoted me and challenged me to a battle, and I won. As if he somehow read my mind, he told me there was an old sailor called Briney living near Petalburg, which was just what I needed to get to Dewford.

Turns out that Birney was the old man whose Wingull I saved before, he wanted to make up for saving his pokemon so he sailed to Dewford with me. There was another Gym in Dewford, Brawly's Fighting Type Gym, but I was not ready to challenge him yet so I went to train a little bit in Granite Cave were both Houdini and Nugget evolved, once Houdini evolved I immediately rushed to the Pokemon Center and used a second identity to trade it with myself, evolving Houdini again.

Houdini made Brawly's Gym really easy, it took me less turns than Roxanne's battle, and that makes two Gym Badges so far.

Halloween Trick or Treat 2019 Platinum

Rules:
BIRDS!!!

So the first rule wasn't hard at all since I could just grab a Starly which is a plus in the game I suppose. Of course I wouldn't choose Starly in a normal gameplay, but it is fine.

So....berries to choose from...I would like 1 blue and 1 green. Then to pull the lever behind the grave. And moving to a new area I would say 14 if possible. (Also I will say if this post messes up it is me trying things out so...let's hope that doesn't happen.)

Fridge Horror - If your Pokémon cannot resist the cold (i.e. is not taught any Fire-type moves or does not resist Ice through typing or ability), it can no longer use STAB moves in battle.
No-Slot Hex - Your maximum party size is reduced by 1

No-slot Hex doesn't affect me much since I rarely use a full team of six. Fridge Horror however, while having no effect on Ponyta nad Psyduck, hit my Turtwig pretty hard. Luckily it learns a Fire type move (Sunny Day (hopefully it counts)), however it's much later in the game. For now I taught it Return and soon it will get Bite, which should be useful in the next gym so it's not so bad. With that I proceeded as normal through the game. Before tackling the gym I grabbed a Bronzor from the nearby route and trained it up a bit.

Other than that, the only effect so far was not being able to catch a mareep in Flocessy Ranch, which is slightly dissapointing but it's not a big deal. Because I couldn't catch a Mareep and I wanted more than one pokemon, I decided to catch a riolu, a pokemon which I like but has a less-than-great level-up moveset.

Spoiler:

Miau brings her own basket with picnic in it. She's surprised when she finds a Green Berry inside instead. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

She quickly finds herself in a section with few graves and suspicious rock. She decides to investigate it more and noticed it's made out of berries. A lot of berries:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

CUBISM GETS AN UNINVITED HOST
Ignoring special berry is a sin! Enjoy your new rule. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

Cubism then finds a strange staircase leading to the depths of the cemetery. Will he dare to go down? Oh and there are also berries on the ground:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run. You also encountered special event. The map can change based on your action.

KOSTUCHA STARTS TO COUGH
Kostucha feels odd. Did he catch a cold? New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

There is a grave and a post box in this section. Kostucha looks inside a post box and finds few berries:

POK3PALS PULLS THE LEVER AND...
It does nothing? Wait, there must be something wrong! Disappointed he picks few berries and goes to the next segment. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

There he finds a gold nugget and a note saying: "Don't touch it for your own good." Pok3pals decides not to listen to the note and picks up the nugget. He accidentally cracks it and few berries fall on the ground:

CRUNCH WILL SLASH HIS WAY THROUGH
Crunch picks one Green Berry and it cut his hand. Weird. Could this be new curse? New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

He quickly moves to the next section and finds more graves. There isn't anything interesting aside from more berries:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

Halloween Trick-or-Treating Event - Pokémon Ultra Sun

Part II - The Failing Winner

Rules
Starter-lock hex
Your Starter can no longer be used.

Too scared to move
Your Pokémon can now only have 3 damaging moves.

This will be a quick update. As my second rule says, I can't have more than 3 attacking moves in each Pokémon (which I already follow, conveniently).

This segment is just crossing Route 3 and battling the Island Kahuna, so nothing really special. I had some trouble with the Butterfree trainer in the route but that's it (In the end his Butterfree died to his own Struggle). The Kahuna battle, on the other side...

Even with two Pokémon weak to Fighting, and no moves super-effective against it, I was confident the battle would go smoothly. Furfrou is powerful and has Fur Coat, and Grubbin has a resistance. But of course, it didn't go the way I expected it to go.

So I failed the first attempt, and I had to change the strategy for attempt 2. I led the battle with Furfrou, as opposed to Makuhita the first time, and Machop couldn't stand his Headbutts. Crabrawler, however, is stronger than he looks; one Headbutt didn't even take 1/3 of his health. Even so, I used Baby Doll-Eyes on him to lower a bit of his attack, but he landed a critical hit z-move on Furfrou! I was hoping to survive it and then use some Headbutts for the flinch, but he fainted. I sent out Makuhita and took a good chunk of Crabrawler's health, and used Grubbin to take the rest with Spark. I was lucky to paralyze him and avoid some more damage. His own Makuhita didn't give me any trouble other than using loads of Sand Attacks, and Grubbin and Meowth teamed up to take him out.

At this point I realized my team needs some revamping, so we'll see how that turns out in the future...

It seems like Cube stole the path to room 17 from me since the beginning, so I'll have to follow his footsteps... I'm gonna pick one of those red berries, too.

By the way, my name is Sumner, not Summer!

Journey Diary:
Spoiler:
Day 3:
In order to find Steven, I headed to Granite Cave again after getting the Knuckle Badge, where a purple slime pokemon took Shroom and assimilated him and stuck to my team.
Granite Cave was dark, and had around two or three more floors; in one of them I found a turtle with a hockey-mask like head, I named her Amelia, sadly she didn't do much. I had no pokemon with Flash at the moment, so I just walked via instinct until I got to another spot of the first floor of the cave. where I found another room where I found Steven. I delivered the letter, and now I had to go to Slateport City to deliver the Devon Goods to Captain Stern.

I salied with Mr. Birney to Slateport City with four pokemon on my team, where I found many trainers lookin for a battle in the beach, I used that opportunity to train Slime who did fairly well. Since many pokemon there were Water Type, Amelia couldn't do much and the one time I tried training her, she was shot to death by a Water Gun Wingull, so I guess I'm cursed to have only three pokemon on my team.
I got to a place named Stern's Shipyard where I thought I could find Captain Stern, but instead I only found a bald guy named Dock who told me Stern was somewhere else in Slateport so I searched in the Oceanic Museum instead. It was infested by Team Aqua members, enough reason for me to think that I was at the right place.
None of the Aqua Grunts in the first floor wanted to battle. In fact, I got a TM from the guy I stopped twice before. In the second floor, I found Captain Stern, and was almost immediately attacked by two team Aqua Grunts, who I stopped without much trouble. I delivered the Devon Goods and made my way to Mauville City.
Outside the museum, Scott (the guy with glasses from Petalburg) asked if I was the one who drove Team Aqua out of the museum, and he was certainly amussed by it, so much that he asked me to register him in my PokéNav.
I found Brendan again at Route 110 in my way to Mauville and he challenged me to yet another battle I won without much effort. I also found Wally in front of Mauville's Gym and challenged me to a shamefully easy battle. After the battle, Scott appeared again and flattered me. I think that guy is following me and is seriously creeping me out.
Wattson's Gym wasn't easy but it wasn't hard either. Houdini took down his first two pokemon. I almost lose Nugget there, though against his Magneton and Manectric, but I was lucky to deliver a critical Ember against the later, making it my third badge. Slime did pretty good as well taking down most of the gym trainers. No pokemon were lost in this gym either.

EDIT: Sorry for not pinging you, I'm dead but wanted to get this update out and forgot about pings. I also only now noticed Cubism posted update when I was writing my, but I don't think I have more energy to go to the editing again today.

SUMNER CHANGES NAME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE EVENT
And is awarded with another curse for it. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

Sumner got to the section with mysterious staircase. Can he make it down there before the ghost of beauty? There isn't much time to pick berries, so here's only few:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run. You also encountered special event. The map can change based on your action.

WIZARDOFODD ENTERS THE CEMETERY
WizardOfOdd joins the fun. He picks one of the last baskets and runs inside. He forgot his bag outside the cemetery, but can't return now. He'll have to survive with just this Blue Berry. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

He makes it to the section with a huge hole. He looks inside and see bunch of berries:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

POK3PALS FINDS A SECRET!
Pok3pals is optimistic about getting cursed. It's actually good for your skin, he says. Well, let's see how he reacts to this. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

He finds old structure in this section. The sign next to it says: "Entrance to underground. You must be at least THIS tall to enter". He has no idea what THIS means, but he might go inside. There are berries only few steps in the structure after all:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run. You also encountered special event. The map can change based on your action.

SOMEONE TELL MIAU SHE'S NOT SUPPOSE TO EAT THE BERRIES, PLEASE
But if she likes the curse flavor, then why not? Picking up two more berries, she can smell new curses appearing. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

She finds herself in the pretty interesting section. Why? Because it has user I forgot to write story fluff for. Otherwise it's pretty boring section with just few graves. And few berries:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

It's okay. :) One thing, sorry for asking! I can't obtain the TM for Toxic until Aether Paradise, I think, so is it ok to not have the Toxic Pokémon until then? Or should I search for a mon that learns Toxic naturally at an early level?

Rules: Set Curse

For a starting rule, this wasn't so bad. All it did was force me to play in set battle style which isn't particularly difficult, and it didn't do anything other than make training Burmy slightly more difficult than it would have been without the rule. Other than that, it has been a fairly standard playthrough at this point.

I'll also take the red berry, please.

Curse of curses - Any Pokémon that can learn Curse must know it for the rest of the game. If your team doesn't have a Pokémon with Curse yet, put a Pokémon that can learn it on your team. It must stay there and know Curse for the rest of the game.
Fridge Horror - If your Pokémon cannot resist the cold (i.e. is not taught any Fire-type moves or does not resist Ice through typing or ability), it can no longer use STAB moves in battle.

Embargo - You may no longer use items in battle.
Plaguespreader - Teach your Pokémon as many Poison-type moves as possible. If you can't teach any move, your Pokémon are infected with a plague and must be permanently put in a quarantine - in the box.

Some plague suddenly hit my pokemon, it must have come from that Bronzor I just caught. There was nothing I could have done to help my team, so I put it in the quarantine. Hopefully they get better. Since I had to basically start over, I backtracked a bit and caught myself a Buizel and an Onix, which I evolved soon after with a Metal Coat that I got from that recently caught Bronzor. After some training I continued on with the story and defeated Fantina. I'll be more careful with adding future team members.

Before I start, I'm going to say that my nicknaming theme here will be songs from Arcaea. However, due to the 10 characters limit of Pokemon names, gotta expect tons of in-game abbreviations despite me referring to them by their full names. 🙃

Spoiler: The rules as of now
  1. Dracula's apprentice: Any Pokémon that can learn any of the HP-draining moves must learn it as soon as possible and retain it for the remainder of the run. (btw I have a question for this one: is it allowed to forget a HP-draining move to make room for another one?)

Aile chose a Treecko whom she nicknamed Fracture Ray. She then had a Pound/Scratch-fest with Brendan's Torchic, got a Pokedex from Professor Birch, met Mr. Dad Norman at Petalburg Gym, helped Wally to catch his first Pokemon, and made her way to Rustboro City. The catchathon ensued with her getting Grievous Lady the Zigzagoon, Babaroque the Lotad, Purgatorium the Ralts, Modelista the Wingull, Singularity the Marill, Chronostasis the Shroomish, and Ignotus the Nincada. And Aile closed this part by beating Roxanne with Modelista (vs Roxanne's first Geodude), Fracture Ray (vs Roxanne's second Geodude), and Chronostasis (vs Roxanne's Nosepass) despite being underleveled.

So i locked out from evolutionary stones and ability capsules? Mamma mia.

So basically i just gather a ragtag group (Well except Ralts, i actually hunted one that hold Gardevoirite) while my Combusken sweep Roxanne, it's still easy cause i have Fighting type moves but for the next one if i don't be able to rebound from this issue with items, i'm toasted.

BIRDS!!!! - Put a Regional Bird on your team. It doesn't have to be regional bird of your region (Example: Pidgeot can be used outside Kanto). It can only learn Physical and Status Moves.
Reversed Record Player - TMs are now banned.

Welp the birds rule means I have to put either Staraptor ot Noctowl on my team, however neither of them learns a fire type move without using a TM, so I'm just picking whatever would a less dead slot. And so I chose Noctowl as it learns Zen Headbutt later and some sweet status moves. I'm just gonna wait a bit until I can switch-train it more easily up to those levels.

Other than that it's going great. I re-caught Ponyta, hopefully that one fares better than the last one. It helped greatly against Maylene but still it wasn't an easy fight. I should probably remake my team, but future rules will probably force me to do it anyway.

Journey Diary:
Spoiler:
After beating Watson, I took the Rock Smash HM and followed my way to Lavaridge Town, but the entrance to the Cable Car to Mt. Chimney was blocked by some guys in red hoodies who called themselves Team Magma, so I had no choice but go to Fallabour Town, a town covered in volcano ashes. Professor Cozmo lives there, but apparently we was with Team Magma in Meteorite Falls. Weird. I decided to check what was going on with Team Magma, since I, for one, had no idea who they were until now, but something didn't seem right.

There's not much to say about Meteor Falls, it was infested by Solrock and Zubat only and the pokemon one the Route before weren't that great either. I caught a Swablu called Sky, but she fainted later while I was training her. Apparently, Team Magma stole the Professor's Meteorite to awaken something I was going to battle them, but Team Aqua intervened and they escaped to Mt. Chimney.

I rushed with Team Aqua to stop Team Magma, I battled two grunts and Magma Admin Tabitha without any trouble, then the battle with Team Magma Leader Maxie began. Nugget failed a decisive blow and fainted because of that same turn, leaving me with only two pokemon who took care of Maxie without trouble. With Team Magma stopped, Team Aqua fled and I returned the Meteorite to Professor Cozmo, then I caught a Torkoal in Fiery Path to replace Nugget's Fire Power, of course it wouldn't be the same, but the pokemon did pretty good still. After some long grinding, it was time to take on my fourth gym against Passion Burn Flannery. Not much to say about Flannery's gym, it was easy, the only problem was her Torkoal.

Hello, I would love to join this challenge
Tatranka are suddenly my favourite cookies

I'd like to start in room 6 with a blue berry.
As the Riley sprite from gen 4 (The Lucario trainer) If not, male cooltrainer is fine!

Please let me know if I missed anything!

Spoiler: The rules as of now
  1. Dracula's apprentice: Any Pokémon that can learn any of the HP-draining moves must learn it as soon as possible and retain it for the remainder of the run.
  2. Ocean's Curse: Water, Ice, and Dragon types are now banned from your team, unless they also possess the Ghost or Dark types. HM slaves and Pokemon mandated by another curse are exempt from this rule.

Bidding a goodbye to Singularity, Modelista and Babaroque, Aile decided to take Ignotus out from the PC and do more catchathon while hunting down a random Aqua grunt who stole some stuffs and on her way to Dewford Town, resulting in her getting Nhelv the Taillow, Viyella the Aron, Flyburg the Zubat, and Endroll the Makuhita. At Granite Cave near Dewford Town, she delivered Mr. Stone's mail to Steven while grinding the squad, evolving Fracture Ray into Grovyle in process. And as for the gym, she took Brawly out with the help of Purgatorium (vs Brawly's Machop), Nhelv (vs Brawly's Meditite), and Flyburg (vs Brawly's Makuhita).
https://i.imgur.com/2jsaK8Jm.jpg

Spoiler: The cursed ones
  • Singularity the Marill (caused by the Ocean's Curse)
  • Modelista the Wingull (caused by the Ocean's Curse)
  • Babaroque the Lotad (caused by the Ocean's Curse)

Since I'd like to have one for everything, lemme grab the lone blue berry and move on to room 19.

Sorry, my bad. You're in the right room now. For the berries selection and section description, please see Crunch's part of this post, since he's in the room 12 as well.

KOSTUCHA GOES DOWN
Jumping head first to the structure, he ends up in the weird cave. It's a good way he got all those berries. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

The cave he ended up seems pretty huge. It's so dark he can't see numbers of other sections. He has to decide. Will he go down or use teleport? It looks like someone was already here, so there is only one last berry left:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run. You also encountered special event. The map can change based on your action.

CUBISM HITS THE DEAD END
Cubism continues exploring the cave, but quickly hits dead end. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

There are only 3 teleports, each with a sign saying literally nothing. But! Each of them has berry sticked to them.:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run. You also encountered special event. The map can change based on your action.

11WILDY JOINS THE FUN
But there are no more baskets. Sad, he sits down and cries. Then a mysterious white hand materializes in front of him and gives him white basket. Yes! It even has a Red Berry inside. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

He's inside small section with few graves, urns and berries:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

SANICHAN MUST THINK ABOUT THE FUTURE NOW
Something sinister can happened every moment. Be prepared! New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

There is a grave and a post box in this section. Sanichan looks inside a post box and finds... only one Green Berry. But she also notices weird berry sticked to the grave:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

CRUNCH LOST HIS BACKPACK
But he still has a basket with his berries. He adds another on in and continues. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

Next section is pretty boring to be honest. Just 3 graves and a ghost of another player. And berries:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

Halloween Trick-or-Treating in Platinum - Gyms 5/8

Rules:
Spoiler:
Curse of curses - Any Pokémon that can learn Curse must know it for the rest of the game. If your team doesn't have a Pokémon with Curse yet, put a Pokémon that can learn it on your team. It must stay there and know Curse for the rest of the game.
Fridge Horror - If your Pokémon cannot resist the cold (i.e. is not taught any Fire-type moves or does not resist Ice through typing or ability), it can no longer use STAB moves in battle.
No-Slot Hex - Your maximum party size is reduced by 1
Embargo - You may no longer use items in battle.
Plaguespreader - Teach your Pokémon as many Poison-type moves as possible. If you can't teach any move, your Pokémon are infected with a plague and must be permanently put in a quarantine - in the box.
BIRDS!!!! - Put a Regional Bird on your team. It doesn't have to be regional bird of your region (Example: Pidgeot can be used outside Kanto). It can only learn Physical and Status Moves.
Reversed Record Player - TMs are now banned.
You’re a wizard, Harry - You have to put one of the following Pokémon on your team and it must stay there for the rest of the game: Haunter/Gengar, Dusclops/Dusknoir, Banette, Gardevoir, Gallade, Kadabra/Alakazam, Sableye, Grumpig, Solrock, Lunatone, Misdreavus/Mismagius, Gulpin, Relicanth, Dustox, Medicham, Jynx, Chandelure, Reuniclus, Trevenant, Gourgeist, Chimecho.
Ocean’s Curse - Water, Ice, and Dragon types are now banned from your team, unless they also possess the Ghost or Dark types. HM slaves and Pokemon mandated by another curse are exempt from this rule.

So with the new rules I boxed Floatzel and caught Meditite. The problem is it doesn't really learn non stab moves by level up, (and especially fire type moves) so I backtracked to Wayward Cave to Mira to train it up freely. Once it evolved into Medicham, I continued on to Pastoria City where I could finally free up its moveset with move relearner (I picked up a few Heart Scales in the underground in the meantime). With that Medicham was at pretty high level, so Crasher Wake fell with relative ease.

Aww, only 1 berry? I guess I'll take it and go down

BlissyMKW October 9th, 2019 3:05 AM

Well, here we go again. Let's see how many random curses I end up with that throw me to the ghost wolves this time.

Name: BlissyMKW
Trainer Class: Kimono Girl (Gen 2 if possible, but otherwise I'll go for the Gen 4 one)
Your favorite type of candy: Tatranka. From the description, it sounds like I'd like it.
Game: Gold
Where you want to start (Rooms 1-8): 1

So after using a random number generator, I got 2, so we're going blue.

11wildy October 9th, 2019 7:39 AM

Thank you for letting me get in ^-^

I've started the game with Cyndaquil, named Wisp, which was originally my plan anyway. The forest's curse means i cannot use Bug/Grass/Flying/Poison types, with the exception of the Gastle line because it is a ghost. That takes away the majority of early route pokemon already, but not the one I wanted most! I caught Kappa the Poliwag to help with the first gym. I trained my team up a bit and walked into the gym, struggling with the first gym trainer already.

Then Kappa decided to be awesome and make Falkner's Pidgey and Pidgeotto sleep for the majority of the fight, leading to an easy win.

After the win, I greedily take all the berries as my reward, being unaware of the complications

Rules:
Forest's curse: No Bug/Grass/Flying/Poison types allowed

Team:
Cyndaquil
-Tackle
-Leer
-Smokescreen

Poliwag
-Bubble
-Hypnosis

Question:
If I were to take all berries every time, would that lead to problems with the set-up or in-game? Because I do like a crazy challenge but I do not want to ruin your set-up for this :)

SUPERJOLT JOINS THE FUN
But he kinda forgets something. Basket and his Pokémon. Well, that's a good start. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

He's in the section with few graves. There are berries all over the ground:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

KOSTUCHA HITS THE DEAD END
Kostucha continues exploring the cave, but quickly hits dead end. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

BLISSYMKW JOINS THE FUN
And brings her ;) own basket. What a weird guy. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

He starts in pretty normal section. It has a special statue with a lever though. Maybe he could push it. But berries are more important:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run. You also encountered special event. The map can change based on your action.

WILDY11 STAY ON THE SAME SPOT FOR SOME REASON
Maybe it's because all the curses literally paralyzed him. But who knows. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

But since he already took all the berries, a generous white hand appeared again and offered him few:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

11wildy October 9th, 2019 1:10 PM

Oh whoops I forgot to add a room to go to!

The Ocean's curse takes Kappa's soul back to the ocean, her body turning into water, only a small puddle remained of poor Kappa... You shall not be forgotten buddy!

Just Wisp and me were left, in need for a new team member we went into the wilds, finding Ghost the Gastly and then Golem the Geodude in the Dark Cave.
We adventured through the union cave without much troubles, but then there was Azalea, completely dark with only some Jack-O-Lanterns lighting the path. We went into the cave, where some people were funnily dressed up and had some fun battles before challenging the gym leader Bugsy. Strangely enough, Cyndaquil did not evolve into Quilava, something strange was going on...
Three Rock Throws later Bugsy was defeated. We also defeated the stranger from before, who seemed to be an actual challenge, but luckily Ghost could sleep his Croconaw for long enough and weaken it for Wisp to finish it off.

Then he vanished and the hand presents 4 more berries, I take all 4, putting the red and green ones in my pocket, but staring at the strange one for longer, trying to figure out what's so special about it. Then I hear a noise behind me and run of scared, into the forest, as much to the north as I can (that'd be room 10 right? Making sure to move now!)

Rules:
Forest's curse: No Bug/Grass/Flying/Poison types allowed
No-slot hex: Max team size of 5
Ocean's curse: No Water/Ice/Dragon types allowed
The curse of eternal youth: No evolutions
Zombie Dinner: Must have a biting move

Golem the Geodude
-Magnitude
-Rock Throw

I thought that maybe I could battle my dad at this point, so I headed to Petalburg and took his gym's challenge.
The gym was easy but long, since there are a lot of trainers there. The battle against my dad wasn't hard at all except for his Linoone with Belly Drum that almost takes down Ignoke, the Slaking was taken down easily with Ignoke's Protect.

Question: Is this rule valid for the rest of the run?
Taking the middle panel and taking the red berry

BlissyMKW October 10th, 2019 3:02 AM

Ok, a curse I can get behind since 2/3 of my starter options aren't bothered by it at all.

Episode 1 - Revenge of the Trick-or-Treating Event: 2019 Edition

Current Curses

Fridge Horror - No STAB moves for anything that doesn't have a Fire move or resists Ice.

Ah, Generation 2, with your totally unbalanced level scaling. Still my favorite generation of all, though. Probably because nostalgia, but that's whatever. So after the usual "starting the game" business, I decided against my better judgement of picking Totodile and picked Cyndaquil. I mean, between the three Johto starters, I tend to pick Cyndaquil the least, so I might as well, right? I gotta be prepared for anything at this point. Anyway, on the way, I'll go about and grind off of any random encounters to Mr. Pokemon, beat ???, and then go back to New Bark Town to get my Poke Balls.

After all of that is settled, it's off towards Violet City, destroying every trainer in my path because, right now, I don't really need any other team members. Although, I did have a close call with poison thanks to a Weedle. Anyway, after reaching Violet City and restocking on Potions, it was off to Sprout Tower to obliterate all of the Bellsprout...and the two Hoothoot. On the way, Blaze, my Cyndaquil, evolved into Quilava. I honestly forgot how early it evolves. It just made everything much easier, though.

I don't think the gym needs any introduction. I have a high leveled Quilava against a bunch of weak Flying types. This is no contest. Everything died in either 1 or 2 Embers.

Although...after beating Falkner, something weird happened. The entire gym changed shape into a room with a single door, a statue, and a few berries left on the floor. As far as I know, something really bad will happen if I dare interact with that statue, but it's the first room, so let's give it a shot. Unless it moves me to a random room, I'll take one of the red berries and it's off to Room 14.

The Team

Blaze (Quilava) Lv. 16 @ Nothing (because why would I use my hard earned Berries now?)
Moves: Tackle, Leer, Smokescreen, Ember

Part 2 - Veteran and His Crippled Team

OH NOOO! You've just taken out two best parts of my team (Ralts and Combusken). Well i'll just keep it short since unfortunately i have quite a lot of stuff going on right now. So i catched Lord Peeko and Rocky and Lord Peeko managed to defeat Brawly flawlessly but... I going to fight Wattson next which is not good for Lord Peeko, so i'll probably depends on Larvitar next fight.

Yes, Eternal Nightmare is active for the rest of your run.

Question: There is a rule that requires me to have a biting move on all pokemon that learn one, but this isn't that many in Crystal. Does this rule force me to catch a pokemon with a biting move or should I just go without?

You're not forced to catch a Pokémon with biting move.

IT'S THE NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD
(NEW GLOBAL RULE HAS BEEN ACTIVATED)

Suddenly a ghost appears and joins your team, New Global Rule has been added, check your character on the map.

NOTE: If you already caught all Ghost-types available in your game, you can either catch Dark-type or lose a team slot instead.

WILDY11 MADE EVERYTHING WORSE
It's like he went here with the only goal - die. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

This section is pretty boring. There is a sign, but wildy can't read it because someone is standing in front of it. Well, there are at least few berries:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

KOSTUCHA IS TELEPORTED!
Kostucha picks a Green Berry and is sucked inside the teleport before he can make it to the other berries. What a shame. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

He finds himself in the cemetery again. There is weird stone structure. It might be good idea to examine it. Oh and there are also berries, but do you care about them anymore?
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run. You also encountered special event. The map can change based on your action.

BLISSYMKW CLOSES DOWN THE [REDACTED]
BlissyMKW pulls the lever and nothing happens. Or at least he thinks it didn't. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

But to the next section! There he finds a gold nugget and a note saying: "Don't touch it for your own good." BlissyMKW decides not to listen to the note and picks up the nugget. He accidentally cracks it and few berries fall on the ground. And there are already few berries on the ground. What a lucky find:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

CUBISM IS TELEPORTED!
Picking up the Red Berry and letting himself be sucked into the teleport, Cubism is cursed again. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

This section has only few boring graves. And even less berries:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

BlissyMKW October 10th, 2019 12:29 PM

Welp, I should've randomized this rom, because I can't evolve this Haunter at all now when it eventually evolves. rip me.

Episode 2 - A New Ghostly Friend

Current Curses

Fridge Horror - No STAB moves for anything that doesn't have a Fire move or resists Ice.
Ghostly Adventure - Catch a Gastly (because it's the only Ghost type available), it's locked into the team.
Cursed Ground - No more Ground, Rock, or Fighting types.

Well, this could be a thing. I didn't put this rom through the randomizer, so unless I redo the entire game until this point, I can't evolve the eventual Haunter into a Gengar. A shame, but I guess we have to deal with it. Anyway, now I have to go back to Sprout Tower and toss Poke Balls at a Gastly until I catch it. Luckily, I managed to find one first encounter, and after three Poke Balls, I got it. It was Level 5 too. Welcome Stalker to the team. She will need to be switch trained for a while, though.

With that aside, I had to go heal because Blaze got paralyzed during the capture mission so I went and grabbed the egg. With the egg in hand, it's off towards Union Cave, destroying trainers along the way. While fighting trainers, it made me realize how few moves this thing learns in this generation. So far, Lick is Stalker's only offensive move, and after the first Union Cave trainer, she's Level 13. This is going to be painful, especially with Whitney coming later and no Rock types.

Speaking of which, Union Cave...it's a cave. Not anything too special. Stalker got a lot of action since most of the encounters in there are things Blaze can't handle on her own and Stalker got Curse. That's about all the eventful things that happened in Union Cave. Anyway, time for Azalea Town!

So that one trainer on the way to Azalea Town gave me a harsh demonstration of how weak to Rock my team is. Stalker can't take a hit and Blaze is weak to Rock. We need to get a Water type soon. Either that or a Grass type, but we'll have to wait and see. For now, after a visit to Kurt, it's time for Slowpoke Well. Because Blaze will get all the gym action, I mainly used Stalker on anything that wasn't named Rattata because I couldn't touch it with anything but Curse, and I'd rather not waste items. With that aside, Blaze set fire to Bugsy's gym. Nothing survived.

Once again, though, after beating the gym, all the ashen remains started moving on their own and the shape of the room changed. Unlike before, there's a bunch of berries on the floor. Onward and forward to Room 15 with one green berry in hand.

The Team

https://img.pokemondb.net/sprites/gold/normal/quilava.png
Blaze (Quilava) Lv. 20 @ Nothing
Moves: Tackle, Leer, Smokescreen, Ember (she learned no new moves)

https://img.pokemondb.net/sprites/gold/normal/gastly.png
Stalker (Gastly) Lv. 18 @ Nothing
Moves: Hypnosis, Lick, Curse, Mean Look

(I realize now that I can't have a STAB move, but I have no way of teaching a move to replace Lick right now. Thinking about it now, it's much worse. Until I get Thief, and if I'm not allowed to use Lick, then Stalker actually cannot attack outside of Curse. Gengar is the only member of the line that can learn elemental punches and almost every TM for Gastly/Haunter is locked behind postgame aside from Nightmare, Thunder, and few others. Out of all of them, only three are offensive moves and two are only able to be gotten on Sunday. Either I have to farm for Thunder or Stalker's a dead slot outside a move that'll pretty much get her killed 100% of the time because bad defenses. Well, this could be...bad. For me. Looks like a Typhlosion solo run featuring a Ghost type is in my future.)

Journey Diary:
Spoiler:
After beating my dad at his gym, Wally's father gave me HM Surf, and now I was able to continue the journey. I got the Good Rod from a fisherman near Mauville and returned to Petalburg to catch a Corphish I called Kidd. Saddly, Ignoke didn't get it any further but at least he passed away in a peaceful way.
I continued walking through Route 119 where the weather institute is located and found Team Aqua wanting to steal some pokemon from them, without any trouble, except for maybe one battle in which Slime got confused in an awful way. Aqua ran away to Mt. Pyre, where I would be heading next after beating Brendan in a battle once more and chatting with Scott.

I made it to Fortree, where Winona's gym was located, but the path to the gym was blocked by invisible pokemon who turned out to be Keckleon. I continued on my way to Mt. Pyre, by the time I made it there Kidd had already evolved into Crawdaunt. In Mt. Pyre I caught Voodoo the Shuppet, then I beat Team Aqua without being able to stop them, but I got a Team Magma Emblem from the lady that is supposed to take care of the place. It might be useful later, idk.

With Team Aqua nowhere to be seen I headed back to Fortree to challenge Winona. This was probably the hardest gym so far, but it still wasn't that difficult, I ended up shifting pokemon during the entire battle since I wanted to train Voodoo a little bit there.

Moving to room #22 and I'm picking the first blue berry

saniachan October 10th, 2019 11:09 PM

Spoiler: The rules as of now
  1. Dracula's apprentice: Any Pokémon that can learn any of the HP-draining moves must learn it as soon as possible and retain it for the remainder of the run.
  2. Ocean's Curse: Water, Ice, and Dragon types are now banned from your team, unless they also possess the Ghost or Dark types. HM slaves and Pokemon mandated by another curse are exempt from this rule.
  3. First-encounter clause: You may only capture and use the first Pokemon you encounter on each route for the remainder of the game. Your current Pokemon are unaffected, as are gifts.
  4. Ghostly Adventure - GLOBAL RULE: Catch a Ghost-type (even if you already have one) as soon as possible. It must stay on your team for the rest of the game. It's also your best friend from now on.

Done with Brawly, Aile decided to catch one more mon (Clotho the Geodude) at Granite Cave before moving on to Slateport City. She had to deliver the Devon stuffs from before to Captain Stern there. Evolutions ensued en route: Purgatorium into Kirlia, Grievous Lady into Linoone, and Ignotus into Ninjask (with her giving birth to Afterburn the Shedinja). Aile eventually found Captain Stern in the Oceanic Museum, then proceeded to do the (limited) catchathon on her way to Mauville City, thus ending up with Sheriruth the Poochyena from Route 110 and Axium Crisis the Oddish from Route 117. She also fought Brendan at Route 110 with the help of Clotho (weakened Brendan's Wingull), Purgatorium (weakened Brendan's Combusken), Grievous Lady (finished both Brendan's Wingull and Combusken off), and Afterburn (took Brendan's Lombre out). And then training ensued with the help of the trainers hanging out at the routes around Mauville (including the Winstrate family where Afterburn became a total bro). The training was not for Wattson, but for the future routes. Why? Because Clotho soloed him big time.
https://i.imgur.com/TWFH0NJm.jpg

Spoiler: The cursed ones
  • Singularity the Marill (caused by the Ocean's Curse)
  • Modelista the Wingull (caused by the Ocean's Curse)
  • Babaroque the Lotad (caused by the Ocean's Curse)

Might as well grab the weird berry (sorry folks) and go to the unknown room 20. 😏

PS: I'm saniachan, not sanichan ._.

Loved this event last time, hopefully it's as fun this time! Going to try a more challenging game this time.

Name: jdthebud
Trainer Class: Ace Trainer
Your favourite type of candy: Tatranka
Game: Renegade Platinum
Where you want to start (Rooms 1-8): 3

If I can pick my starting berry, I'll choose a green one.

11wildy October 11th, 2019 9:16 AM

After running north blindly, I ended up in a creepy dark forest, lost, cold, hungry. I kept trying to find my way, but to no avail. I kept having the feeling that I was being followed, but nothing was to be seen behind me. It started to freak me out, so I decided to take action. "Wisp, get out" as I called Cyndaquil out of his pokeball. A path was seen. We followed it, getting to a clearing. Suddenly, birds attacked from all sides, pecking, tackling, leaving me bruised on the ground before they quickly disappeared. We ran far the exit and finally got out, happy to see the daylight again. We battled some trainers, still feeling followed. At some point I closed my eyes before turning around, then opened them. I saw a small Hoothoot skipping into the bush and then curiously peeking out of it. I decided to catch the little cutie!

Introduce Nightmare the Hoothoot!

We trained with our newest team member and got ready for the gym. Wisp still hadn't evolved strangely enough, but he surely was trying his hardest to keep up. The gym battle was not so hard, Nightmare dealt with the Clefairy easily, then Ghost Cursed the Miltank while Golem stalled it out.

Nightmare seemed to like my Charcoal a lot, which I found cute, little Hoothoot playing with a Charcoal! Until he ate the thing. I looked at Nightmare weirdly, but he only tilted his littled head in a cute way, so I put him on my shoulder and continued walking, until our way got blocked by this weird tree. I stopped, forgot my Squirtbottle and returned to the city. On the second trip towards the tree it had gotten dark. Suddenly, I felt an excruciating pain on my shoulder and collapsed. After recovering, I had a big burning claw mark on my shoulder....

I will take all berries and move north to 18

Rules:
Forest's curse: No Bug/Grass/Flying/Poison types allowed
No-slot hex: Max team size of 5
Ocean's curse: No Water/Ice/Dragon types allowed
The curse of eternal youth: No evolutions
Zombie Dinner: Must have a biting move
A quiet place: No sound based moves
BIRDS!!!!!: Add regional bird
I wish I had gotten this later, because after this section I could have caught a Noctowl, considering I cannot evolve...
Nightmare fuel: A pokemon must have a Fire and Ghost move, equip Charcoal, teach Nightmare if possible
Have a guess who the Nightmare is going to be... With Nightmare and Sunny day!
Dracula's apprentice: Teach all HP draining moves

Global rules:
Because I already have Gastly, I need to add Sneasel to my team when I reach Icy Path, this is the only available Dark type, because I cannot evolve Eevee.

Team:
Wisp the Cyndaquil
-Ember
-Headbutt
-Leer
-Mud-Slap

Ghost the Gastly
-Lick
-Mean Look
-Hypnosis
-Curse

Golem the Geodude
-Magnitude

Nightmare the Hoothoot
-Tackle
-Hypnosis

Kostucha October 11th, 2019 10:15 AM

Halloween Trick-or-Treating in Platinum - Gyms 7/8

Rules:
Spooky Ball - if there are any Ghost or Dark-type obtainable by this point in your game, catch one now, even if you already have one on your team. This Pokemon cannot be removed from your team, even by the effects of another curse.
Ghostly Adventure - GLOBAL RULE - Catch a Ghost-type (even if you already have one) as soon as possible. It must stay on your team for the rest of the game. It's also your best friend from now on.
Nightmares - Teach your Pokémon as many sleep inflicting moves (including self-inflicting) as possible. If you can't teach any of these moves to any of your Pokémon, catch a Pokémon you can teach one of these moves.

I couldn't teach any pokemon a sleep inducing move, so I replaced Steelix with Hippowdon (that knows Yawn) I also added Dusclops for the global rule. Then I went to Riley and trained my whole team (including Hoothoot) so my team is nice and complete now :D. Ice types stand no chance against my team thanks to Fridge Horror so Candice fell down easily.

HAS ANYONE SEEN MY LEFT ELBOW?

I need it for my own Frankeinstein. New Global Rule has been added, check your character on the map.

NOTE: If you're feeling especially brave, you can extend this curse's effect to also affect secondary typing.

DON'T FORGET TO DOUBLE TAP
(NEW GLOBAL RULE HAS BEEN ACTIVATED)

Just to be sure they stay on the ground. New Global Rule has been added, check your character on the map.

NOTE: Any Pokémon banned because of Locke, Plague, type banning curse... can be revived and are immune to that curse. Also it's one time thing only applicable with your next update/from the moment you read this.

BLISSYMKW IS SCARED!
But still continues his journey. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

There is a weird structure in this section. Sadly there isn't any way inside. Weird. It's like someone's decision to meddle with a statue closed it. But at least there are berries:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

WIZZARDOFODD MAKES EVERYTHING WORSE
Thanks... New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

WizzardOfOdd finds himself in the pretty huge section with few urns. After quick examination of all of them, he finds only 2 berries:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

CUBISM FINDS...
Pretty weird rectangular object. It must be cursed! Good! New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

This thing is levitating above the ground. It has sinister dark aura. Let's touch it! Or would you rather take a berry?
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run. You also encountered special event. The map can change based on your action.

SANIACHAN DOOMED US ALL!
Who could imagine that zombie apocalypse would start with a letter "a"? New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

Next section has something pretty bizarre to offer. Two graves under two streetlamps. The berries here are hidden in the darkness outside the streetlamps. So she only sees handful of them:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

JDTHEBUD IS LATE LIKE ALWAYS
But prepared for the extreme winter, he is finally here! New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

This section doesn't have much to offer anymore. There used to be mountains of berries, but now there are only these last 4:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

11WILDY IS TAKING IT TO THE EXTREME
Out of the character comment: I'm glad I rolled 1 berry for you in the next section. I won't run out of the rules that quickly. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

Sadly the structure in this section is closed. You can't go inside. Well and there is also that one berry I talked about:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

With my shoulder still burning, I ordered Golem to take down the weird tree, which fell in two Magnitudes. We battles the Kimono girls and stumbled upon the weird guy again in the burnt tower, the one that had disappeared before. After a difficult battle, he faded into nothing, leaving only a single berry for us to take. After that, some extra training was done for the upcoming gym battle and we found out that NO Pokemon was evolving! Nightmare stayed as the cute Hoothoot, Golem was still a Geodude and Wisp was still a Cyndaquil. Ghost was silently laughing a the back. What was going on? Our team of unevolved Pokemon challenge Morty. Golem had no troubles shutting down the Gastly and Haunter, but got put to sleep by Gengar. I swapped him out for Nightmare, who also got put to sleep. Then swapped to Wisp, who managed to land a Mud-Slap before falling asleep as well! I swapped to Ghost, who landed Hypnosis, then back to Golem. Golem managed to wake up before Gengar did and took it out in 1 Magnitude, then finished off the last Haunter as well. It was really a team effort to take down this Gengar!

Luckily, not too many difficult rules this time :). I'll take the 1 berry and move north again, to the undiscovered room 21!

Rules:
Forest's curse: No Bug/Grass/Flying/Poison types allowed
No-slot hex: Max team size of 5
Ocean's curse: No Water/Ice/Dragon types allowed
The curse of eternal youth: No evolutions
Zombie Dinner: Must have a biting move
A quiet place: No sound based moves
BIRDS!!!!!: Add regional bird
Nightmare fuel: A pokemon must have a Fire and Ghost move, equip Charcoal, teach Nightmare if possible
Dracula's apprentice: Teach all HP draining moves
The blaire witch: Must toss 5 items, because I JUST deleted Spite from Gastle... Considering I can't use items in battle anymore I just tossed my X items!
Frozen curse: Any frozen pokemon must be boxed
Embargo: No items in battle

Global rules:
Add a Dark type to my team. (Sneasel will be added)
No type overlapping (I will also do secondary typings)
Revived Poliwag, can only use physical moves and never battle along with other team members (useless? xD)

PART 2

Anyway I finally found few minutes to post my next update. This happened back on Monday, so no Global Rule was in effect during this part.

And the game is making fun of me right from the start:
https://i.imgur.com/sL5Ur7Z.png

Anyway, this part was pretty short. I continued with Cyanide to the Mt. Moon and caught another Pokémon - Clefairy named Eerie. I spent lot of time training her and then finally getting out of this cave, while picking up Helix Fossil for later.

To keep this short, Misty had no chance against my poison pal and his space girlfriend.

Now that three Global Rules were activated I'll have to add Gastly on my team. Since its primary type is Ghost, I can safely put it right next to the Cyanide. The last Global Rule doesn't affect me in any way.

Oh and as for my current rule - Hexed Hands: It did nothing so far to me, but I'm pretty sure it will make the E4 harder somehow.

Nvm I couldn't scroll on my phone but I can see it on my pc.
Btw does the rule applies as well if I'm forced to keep half of my team with the "you can't in any circumstances use them on the same team as your current Pokémon." part?

Curses:
Light’s End
Elm Street Neighbours
Embargo
Ghostly Adventure - GLOBAL RULE
Making Frankenstein - GLOBAL RULE
Zombieland - GLOBAL RULE

None of these curses have affected me that much, though not being able to use potions made the fight with Burgh a bit frustrating. Also, the combination of Light's End and Making Frankenstein might become frustrating later on. I could not yet capture a ghost pokemon, so the Ghostly Adventure rule is only taking effect now that I can catch Yamask in Relic Castle.

Spoiler:

For the next stage, I'm going to Room 16 and I'm taking a Blue Berry. Thanks

Update #1 on Renegade Platinum.

Current Curses:
Spoiler:
Fridge Horror: If your Pokémon cannot resist the cold (i.e. is not taught any Fire-type moves or does not resist Ice through typing or ability), it can no longer use STAB moves in battle.
Making Frankenstein: Your team must be composed with Pokémon with different primary types.
Zombieland: All of your forcefully boxed Pokémon are revived as zombies. (which has no effect since I don't have any perma-boxed Pokemon)

Name: Spook
Rival: Dread
Starter: Chimchar
  • The Fridge Horror curse means I will be better off using either Chimchar or Piplup as my starter, and I go with Saiyan the Chimchar.
  • After the beginning portion, I grab Sparkly the Eevee from Mom. Fortunately it knows Bite so I can use it right away.
  • After we get to Jubilife City, we get an Old Rof and fish up Pirate the Corphish.
  • After fighting the rest of the trainers around the city, I narrowly defeat Dread.
  • On my way to Oreburgh City, Saiyan evolves into Monferno.
  • Found Roark in the Mine, and he was kind enough to give me an Ice Stone, which I used to evolve Sparkly into Glaceon!
  • Challenged the gym and won mostly thanks to Pirate's Bubbebeam.

Pirate the Adamant Corphish, ♂ - L17 @ Mystic Water
Ability: Adaptability
Moves: Aqua Jet, Double Hit, Bubble Beam, Rock Tomb

Notable changes to these Pokemon in Renegade Platinum:
Spoiler:
Fairy type has been added to the game, as well as some moves from later gens. Also, all Pokemon have had their movepools updated to US/UM sets as much as possible. Any other notable additions will be highlighted below.

Chimchar/Monferno/Infernape: Gains Iron Fist ability. Can now learn Drain Punch. Speed base stat increased from 108 to 109.
Glaceon: Added level-up moves Powder Snow, Aurora Beam, Extrasensory, and Earth Power. Can also now learn Dazzing Gleam and Grass Knot via TM.
Base Stat changes: Sp. Def and Speed stats are swapped (now 65 and 95, respectively)
Corphish/Crawdaunt: Replaces ability Shell Armor with Adaptability.

Janp, can you confirm that Ghostly Adventure is meant to be on my curse list? It doesn't affect anything for the first part of the game as the first ghost type (Drifloon) available is after the first gym. Anyway, I will pick the blue berry and move forward to Room 12.

BlissyMKW October 13th, 2019 4:32 AM

So a curse that is pretty much irrelevant and an easily avoidable one. I am fine with this. The plan has not changed...but I have to fight Whitney now, so I better pick a god and pray.

Episode 3 - Picking a God and Praying

Current Curses

Fridge Horror - No Fire move or Ice resist = No STAB moves. AKA rip Stalker.
Ghostly Adventure - Stalker is locked in the team. I can't get another Ghost type anyway since Misdreavus is the only other Ghost type in Gen 2...and it's only in Mt. Silver.
Cursed Ground - No Ground, Rock, or Fighting types.
Too scared to move - Only 3 attacking moves. Irrelevant for Stalker because no STAB moves allowed anyway.
Making Frankenstein - Primary types for team members must be different. So far we have Fire and and Ghost (because forced).
Zombieland - Irrelevant.

Today's the day I always dread when I play a Johto game, and it's Whitney. I should, in theory, be fine, but you never know with these things. Anyway, before we can head into Ilex Forest, we have to deal with Stizh, my rival. Since I can't use Lick, Croconaw is a bit scary, but hopefully we'll get some workarounds to it in the future. Other than that, his team was no real threat. Anyway, after taking of the Farfetch'd situation, I went back and grabbed the Charcoal for Blaze, and then it was back to the forest to get a Paras...which took longer than expected. I still got one, though, as a Cut slave. Now, it's off to Goldenrod.

So at this point in time, I can't possibly get the Thunder TM yet because I lack the money to just outright buy 5500 casino coins or the time to farm the slots, so until then, Stalker is officially a Hypnosis bot because the Dream Eater TM is in Kanto and Nightmare is a Ghost move, so I can't use it because Fridge Horror. I did go to National Park to destroy the trainers and get the Dig TM...you know, if I ever get another viable team member from a curse or something and the Quick Claw because Quick Claw. Anyway, the gym trainers aren't scary in Whitney's gym. As we all know, it's that infamous Miltank.

Anyway, Clefairy wasn't too bad. Hypnosis to put it to sleep and then switch to my only viable team member to destroy it. For Miltank, I had Stalker put it to sleep then die with Curse to make my life easier. Afterwards, with some Smokescreen spam for good measure while the Miltank slept and the Curse drained it's HP, a couple of Embers finished the job.

Like before, though, Whitney's losing cry was...weird. The room broke apart while her crying echoed through the new room. Against my better judgement, I'll take a red berry, pray I can eventually get the Hidden Power TM (the only non Ghost or Poison offensive move that I think Stalker can get outside of Thunder at this point since I couldn't get Return/Frustration), and it's off to the currently unexplored Room 26.

The Team

https://img.pokemondb.net/sprites/gold/normal/quilava.png
Blaze (Quilava) Lv. 26 @ Charcoal
Moves: Quick Attack, Leer, Smokescreen, Ember

Stalker (Gastly) Lv. 21 @ Nothing
Moves: Hypnosis, Lick, Curse, Mean Look

Yep, you can only have Pokémon with different primary type on your team on matter what.

The Global Rule only affects players that were participating when it was activated. So Ghostly Adventure isn't on your list since you weren't participating when it was activated.

KOSTUCHA FINDS A WEIRD SHRINE
But before that finds nothing while trying to examine the stone structure. He accidentally pulls something that totally wasn't a stone lever, but nothing happened. Or could it be that something happened somewhere else? New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

This new section has a shrine in it. Kostucha can't reach it directly because there are two stones blocking the way, but there is tons of berries to choose from:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

11WILDY CAN'T TAKE MORE BERRIES
His basket is full. But he still goes on! He'll have to pick only the best ones. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

Wildy finds a lake in this section. There might be berries inside. He might dive in for them. But there are also few on the shore:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run. You also encountered special event. The map can change based on your action.

CRUNCH FINDS A POKÉ BALL?
Ignoring the ghost in this section, Crunch continues on. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

This new section has a Poké Ball in the middle of flowers. Let's pick it up! It's so much better than berries:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run. You also encountered special event. The map can change based on your action.

JDTHEBUD LOST HIS ITEMS!
Where could they be? New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

Next section is pretty boring to be honest. Just 3 graves and a ghost of another player. And berries:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

BLISSYMKW LOST HIS PARTNER
This cemetery is cruel. Blaze was so young! New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

But this section has a treasure! There is a stone statue that is wide open. Inside he can see a golden coins. A lot of golden coins. Will he go inside and pick them up? Oh and he shouldn't forget about berries:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run. You also encountered special event. The map can change based on your action.

Oh dear, Nuzlocke catching rules. I was going to look for a Miltank to use.... Guess there won't be a Miltank for me!

I'm not sure if you literally mean I can't get more berries, but if there's an issue, feel free to only give me whichever rules you can. I'll pick up the red berries first and then the green one, putting them all in my pocket before diving into the lake. Also, on my character I can scroll down to the new rule (first-encounters), but when I hover it I can't read the full description. This won't be an issue for this rule, but may be important later. If needed you could remove some of the less impactful rules, I have all rules saved on my phone anyway! :)

At nighttime, we continued our adventure to the west, finding a wild Magnemite

Introducing: Static the Magnemite to the team!

We defeated some more trainers and safely made it to Olivine city. There, our Odd egg hatched into a shiny Cleffa! Introduce Succubus the Cleffa. For now she is not part of the team, but who knows that we may need her later. We went to investigate the Lighthouse, which seemed to not be working. We battled some more trainers on the way up and when we made it to the upper floor there was an Ampharos on the floor, bleeding, having vicious scratches all over its body, with blood visible on all the walls. Some monster must have been here! I called for Wisp to light up the floor some more and saw a horrifying message on the wall: "Stay away from here and do not return". Horrified I investigated the floor completely, but there was nothing strange to be found. I used a Super Potion on the Ampharos, which seemed to relieve its pain a little, but it needed something stronger to be cured. We left the lighthouse to ask around in the town, but all town members seemed to be unaware of anything having happened. As if they have all been hypnotized and didn't even notice that the lighthouse was not working. One lady told me to go to Cianwood's pharmacy to get the proper medicine. I thought about having to go back to that freaky bloody room with the medicine, as well as that message, but decided I had no choice. I could not leave poor Amphy there.
So we travelled over the sea, giving Static some extra training to catch up in levels, unable to catch anything useful there, because we could not use any water types, not after what happened to Kappa.
We arrived at Cianwood just fine, picked up the medicine from the pharmacy, strangely enough the dude had already put it on the counter for me before I arrived, as if he knew I was coming. Then we went into the gym, to get our next badge. Nightmare lost the fight against Hitmonchan, going down to a Thunderpunch, so I sent out Golem. Tried to Magnitude the Hitmonchan, but Hitmonchan was faster and hit with an Ice Punch, leaving Golem frozen. A second Ice Punch took out Golem. No big deal I thought, sending out Wisp and finishing off the Hitmonchan with Flame Wheel. Then we went back to the Pokecenter to heal the team back up, but there was something strange...

Golem was still frozen. Unable to move. Nightmare was fine, hopping around the Golem curiously, but Golem would not move, felt cold, colder than regular ice. It hadn't been healed by the Pokecenter... We went back inside and Nurse Joy tried to heal him again, but to no avail. Golem would stay frozen. I heard a little voice in my head, saying "The curse has struck again". Getting into my box to put Golem in I noticed something more strange. Kappa was there. And smelled horrible, eyes completely white. When I tried to put Kappa back into the party, it became hostile against the other team members, refusing to go with them, so I quickly put Kappa back in the box, next to the frozen Geodude.

The following gym battle went fine, Nightmare destroyed Chuck completely with his Hypnosis and Nightmare combination. Then we sat down on the beach for a moment, thinking about what had happened and preparing for a possible encounter with the lighthouse monster when we would get back to Olivine...

Halloween Trick-or-Treating in Platinum - Gyms 8/8

Rules:
Spoiler:

Making Frankenstein - GLOBAL RULE - Your team must be composed with Pokémon with different primary types if possible from now on.
Zombieland - GLOBAL RULE - All of your forcefully boxed Pokémon are revived as zombies. They can only use physical contact moves and are immune to the curse that boxed them. But you can't in any circumstances use them on the same team as your current Pokémon.
Locke Clause - Any fainted Pokemon for the remainder of the run must be boxed until the completion of the run. You may revive your current party before this rule goes into effect.
Set Curse - Set mode! Rest of the game!

Well, I finally got the rule I feared the most, although it doesn't matter much at this point as most of my team is pretty strong, just need to train them up a bit more for E4. It also helped me remove the most useless team member Sadly because of that Noctowl died in battle against Cyrus, at least it set up a nice Reflect before going out, so the rest of the team could survive.

After the story bit Hippowdon defeated Volkner with ease, so only E4 left! :D

Journey Diary

Spoiler:
After leaving Winona's gym I headed to Lilycove City, one of the biggest cities in Hoenn were the Pokemon Contests take place. It also counts with the only Department Store of the region and an art museum. I would've liked to say the most beautiful thing of the city was the ocean view but saddly I couldn't confirm that since the city was taken by Team Aqua at the time, for what I assumed their hideout was somewhere near the city, and I wasn't wrong, as per usual; their hideout was in a nearby cave, but Archie wasn't there. However, Archie stole the Red Orb after Maxie had stolen the Blue Orb, so Team Magma was the main problem here now.
I returned to Lavaridge Town in order to go up to Mt. Chimney to see if I could find Magma's Hideout. Strangely enough, the Magma Emblem reacted to a wall in the Jagged Pass which opened a secret path which led to Magma's Hideout. I needed Rock Smash and Strenght to enter, though so I caught a Machop nearby and went to train it until I was able to fully evolve it with a little help from myself. I ran through the place battling Team Magma's grunts in their volcanic hideout which led to Voodoo's evolution.
I needed to hurry before Maxie awakened Groudon, but Maxie had already awakened it by the time I arrived, however things took a wrong turn for him since Groudon escaped the place. Thinking I had something to do with his recent failure, Maxie challenged me to a second battle. This time it was easier than the first time I battled him. Kidd took down most of the team and no pokemon were lost in that battle. After being defeated, Team Magma fled.

Now it was time to stop Team Aqua.

According to the old man's tale there was a land pokemon and a sea pokemon. If the land pokemon was Groudon, then that would leave the water pokemon only, so I headed to Slateport to see if Captain Stern knew something about it, but he was in an interview with Gabby, the TV reporter. Once the interview was over, a voice came from Slateport's Harbor, we entered just to find out Archie had stolen a submarine, but he had to do some preparations at his hideout first. With the help of Asura (Machamp) and a Cacnea named Spike I caught before at the desert, I made my way through Aqua's Hideout, but the battles were just to stall me so Archie could finish the submarine's preparations. Archie was gone and I could not go after him unless I could Dive somehow.

After failing not once but twice, I surfed my way to Mosdeep City, were I would have my next gym challenge against Tate and Liza. The gym in itself was easy. The gym leaders were hard specially because of Xatu who got all of its energy drained by Spike's Leech Seed at the end. However both Spike and Kidd were caught in an eternal nightmare from which they'll never wake up. Courtesy of Lunatone.

Oh, Slime evolved as well but he didn't do anything.

Btw my last post was about Zombieland, not Making Frankenstein but dw. I just hope I didn't do anything illegal this segment bc of that rule

saniachan October 13th, 2019 9:31 PM

  5. Making Frankenstein - GLOBAL RULE: Your team must be composed with Pokémon with different primary types if possible from now on.
  6. Zombieland - GLOBAL RULE: All of your forcefully boxed Pokémon are revived as zombies. They can only use physical contact moves and are immune to the curse that boxed them. But you can't in any circumstances use them on the same team as your current Pokémon.

From Mauville, Aile made her way to Lavaridge Town. Sounds easy but actually not, thanks to Team Magma. Them blocking the way to Mt. Chimney was why the girl had to make a detour to Fallarbor Town, then back to Rustboro City via Meteor Falls, through Rusturf Tunnel where Grievous Lady's Rock Smash helped Wanda, Wally's cousin, to reunite with her boyfriend, and back to Mt. Chimney by the time it had opened. She also had to deal with Team Magma's shenanigans up there before going down to Lavaridge Town via Jagged Pass. Again, the catchathon and evolutions were unavoidable at this point:
Spoiler: Catchathon
  • Dement the Wurmple at Route 102
  • Conflict the Slakoth at Petalburg Woods
  • Vexaria the Whismur at Rusturf Tunnel
  • Iconoclast the Abra at Route 116
  • Quon the Koffing at Fiery Path
  • inkar-usi the Slugma at Route 113
  • Lucifer the Swablu at Route 114
  • Syro the Numel at Route 112
  • Suomi the Spoink at Jagged Pass

Spoiler: Evolution
  • Chronostasis into Breloom
  • Flyburg into Golbat
  • Endroll into Hariyama
  • Clotho into Graveler

Speaking of Lavaridge Town, one does not simply forget to grab a Wynaut egg there and talk about its gym leader, Flannery. Clotho, Syro, and Viyella worked together to take her on. To be fair though, Aile had to use a Revive on Clotho while fighting Flannery's Torkoal (of all things).
https://i.imgur.com/aVaFC8bm.jpg

Spoiler: The cursed ones
  • Singularity the Marill (caused by the Ocean's Curse, revivable but useless)
  • Modelista the Wingull (caused by the Ocean's Curse, revivable but useless)
  • Babaroque the Lotad (caused by the Ocean's Curse, revivable but useless)

And here I am, picking up a blue berry and going to room 23.

As 11wildy pointed out, if you have many rules, the hover box starts showing outside of the visible part of the screen. So all new rules will be added on top of the list from now on.

Also there might not be an update tomorrow since I'll be on the same business trip as on Saturday, but should return earlier. But can't really promise that I'll return in time for the next update.

ULTIMATE GLOBAL RULE WAS ACTIVATED
(NEW GLOBAL RULE HAS BEEN ACTIVATED)

Cubism touches the black rectangular object and the reality warps. But not just for him. Everyone in the cemetery feels the change. Something's wrong. Where are their Pokémon?

NOTE: You can use your already caught Ghost, Dark and/or Poison Pokémon.
NOTE: This rules doesn't override all the rules that forced a specific Pokémon on your team.

11WILDY DIVES IN THE DARK WATERS
He dives and finds underwater tunel. After few more seconds of swimming, he make it out in the new section. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

He find himself inside a building. He walks out and sees that it was a lighthouse. Wait! What is lighthouse doing here? Anyway, berries!
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

CUBISM IS OUT OF THE REALITY
Doctor-Stranging his way through the beautiful colorful dimensions, he make it safely to the cemetery. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

And he's... He's back in the same location. Even the black thingy is here. It still has sinister dark aura. Let's touch it again! Or he could take berry this time, since he dropped it last time?
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run. You also encountered special event. The map can change based on your action.

KOSTUCHA IS IN THE FINALE
But can he really make it with these new rules? New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

SANIACHAN WON THE LOTTERY!
And has to play with a completed Nuzlocke rules from now on. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

Next section has long line of graves. There is a berry in front of each of them:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

INKBLOTS IS FINALLY HERE
Someone is slowly finishing and someone is slowly starting. Welcome to your cemetery, Inkblots. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

Anyway, I was able to find few berries to choose from for you:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.
NOTE: Since the Global Rule might not be feasible, you're free to ignore it until your next update.

Miau October 14th, 2019 12:45 PM

Oh my, left on vacation with four rules, came back to four more global rules! A question about Rectangular Force: are Pokemon like Jellicent, Scolipede and Krookodile allowed? Or do the Pokemon have to have only Ghost/Dark/Poison type?

Cubeth October 14th, 2019 12:58 PM

HAHAHAH I fucked everything up again lmao though I don't think anything will top Switcheroo

saniachan October 14th, 2019 1:48 PM

Oh my, waking up to a set of Nuzlocke rules and limited only to certain types? I'm so screwed... 😭

Halloween Trick-or-Treating in Platinum - Completed

Rules:
Rectangular Force- GLOBAL RULE - All Pokémon except Ghost, Dark and Poison-types are banned from now on.
The Blaire Witch - Any Ghost-type Pokémon in your party must learn Spite. If they are unable or you have no Ghost Pokemon, stand in the corner for ten minutes and loose toss all of any five items out of your inventory.
Elm Street Neighbours - Now it’s time to learn any of the slashing moves or Dream Eater. Any Pokemon that can must do so as soon as possible, and keep one eligible move for the entire rest of the run.

Dusknoir doesn't learn Spite (ok, it does by move tutor, but I'm far from having enough shards for that and I don't wish to waste time in underground just for that) so I tossed all my X items, I can't use them anyway.

I expected to add more team members before E4, but instead with the global rule I had to remove another two, oh well. Turns out Houndoom + Nasty Plot + Flamethrower + all those Rare Candies you get in the game is pretty powerful, I basically solo'd the E4 with it, what a weird end to all this madness.

I will run to the east, area 33! Taking all berries of course. Not yet giving up on that challenge!

Also, I'll be on holiday for a week tomorrow, so no updates for a bit except MAYBE this evening

______________

Suddenly I woke up, I looked around and saw myself still being at Cianwood's shore. Luckily, all my Pokemon were still around, Nightmare and Ghost sleeping, Static was floating around and Wisp was just sitting there, staring at me creepily. So I approached him and asked, "what's wrong buddy?". Then it transformed into a Ditto, smiling creepily. I woke up and we started to look for Wisp, but he was nowhere to be found. During our search, a strange floatinf rectangle appeared, got closer and closer. Static got pulled to it by it's magnetic force and then got stuck. The rectangle started to float away and I started to pull on Static. It wasn't working, Static was stuck and bleeping in panic. As the rectangle got higher I had to let go. Another team member gone. As if this adventure was cursed...

I suppose I'd have to do with this Ditto now. We flew back to Olivine and got inside the lighthouse, climbing up carefully, but when we got to the upper floor, it was completely cleaned and there was a lady caring for Ampharos. I gave Ampharos the medicine and it started to glow again. The lady introduced herself as the gym leader and we challenged her to a battle.
It was the most difficult battle so far. Ghost put Magnemite to sleep, gave them a Curse and then healed back up with Dream Eater. Steelix was more durable. It got put to sleep, but then woke up as Ghost Cursed it, going down to an Iron Tail. Nightmare got sent out and put Steelix back to sleep and gave it Nightmares. Steelix woke up again and Nightmare barely survives an Iron Tail. We put Steelix back to sleep for the third time, for it never to wake up again! Finally we had won this fight!

Rules:
Forest's curse: No Bug/Grass/Flying/Poison types allowed
No-slot hex: Max team size of 5
Ocean's curse: No Water/Ice/Dragon types allowed

A quiet place: No sound based moves
BIRDS!!!!!: Add regional bird
Nightmare fuel: A pokemon must have a Fire and Ghost move, equip Charcoal, teach Nightmare if possible

Frozen curse: Any frozen pokemon must be boxed
Embargo: No items in battle
First-Encounter clause: Can only catch first encounters
Fridge horror: A pokemon that does not resist Ice and does not have a Fire move cannot use any STAB moves
(Rip Gastly's Night Shade and Hoothoot's Swift)
The thing: Box a team member and replace it with Ditto
You're a wizard, Harry: Add Kadabra/Alakazam, Haunter/Gengar or Jynx to the team
(I PMed Janp to ask which rule to break in this contradictory situation)

Global rules:
Add a Dark type to my team.

Day 1

Oof, between Forest’s Curse and Rectangular Force making only Ghost and Dark types available, this should be uh… interesting.
Good thing I didn't choose FR like I was going to originally, oh that would've been bad lol

Looks like Poochyena is about to become my very best friend

- Caught Poochyena, my new partner-in-crime. Nicknamed Lycan
- Rustboro Gym! Is a nightmare. I’ve got a dark type, a fire type, and not allowed grass?
- Well, I was going to follow the global rule except for Torchic just so I wouldn’t have to get rid of so many pokemon, but I guess I’m gonna have to find something that can use water/grass moves if I don’t want to spend the next few hours grinding
- omg I always forgot about Nosepass
- Well, after several failed attempts, I went and caught a Marill and levelled her up until she learned water gun. And then in the end, turned out the process of levelling up Marill also meant Lycan was now at a high enough level to beat Roxanne all on his own!
- Boxed Marill and Torchic. Just you and me for a while now Lycan!

I will choose a green berry and move to room 5

Also, question: with Rectangular Force, are we still allowed HM slaves that aren't dark/poison/ghost?

Second question: Can I use Seedot even though it's a pure grass type, since it will evolve into a grass/dark type?

So, would you be able to use something that evolves into a type that isn't banned by Rectangular Force? Like, for example, I got the Eevee from Bill and it can evolve into Umbreon.

Stacked with rule #8
  5. Making Frankenstein - GLOBAL RULE: Your team must be composed with Pokémon with different primary types if possible from now on.

  7. Locke Clause: Any fainted Pokemon for the remainder of the run must be boxed until the completion of the run. You may revive your current party before this rule goes into effect. (this + rule #3 = Nuzlocke)
  8. Rectangular Force- GLOBAL RULE: All Pokémon except Ghost, Dark and Poison-types are banned from now on.

Knowing that a bazillion of her mons (including her starter, Fracture Ray) are cursed somehow, Aile had to set them aside until only Afterburn, Sheriruth, Quon, Flyburg, and Axium Crisis left. She shuffled the whole squad and made her way through the desert at Route 111 where she got Ether Strike the Cacnea. Not only that, evolutions also ensued due to the grinding she had done:
Spoiler: Evolution
  • Axium Crisis into Gloom
  • Sheriruth into Mightyena
  • Ether Strike into Cacturne

The girl ultimately decided to switch Flyburg with Quon and Axium Crisis with Ether Strike after contemplating for quite some time.

Back at Petalburg City, Aile and her ragtag foursome squad went all out against Mr. Dad Norman. Sheriruth dealt with his Spinda and helped Quon to take care of his Vigoroth, Ether Strike handled his Slaking nicely despite the latter spamming Yawn, and Afterburn took out his Linoone like a champ (seems like they had their own training with Grievous Lady for quite some time 😏). Aile then rushed back home to tell her mom about this "daddy's girl has grown up" moment.
https://i.imgur.com/nmHd9i9m.jpg

PS: I use they/them pronouns for genderless Pokemon with green names like Afterburn.

Spoiler: The cursed ones
  • Singularity the Marill (Ocean's Curse Rectangular Force, designated HM buddy)
  • Modelista the Wingull (Ocean's Curse Rectangular Force)
  • Babaroque the Lotad (Ocean's Curse Rectangular Force)
  • Fracture Ray the Grovyle (Rectangular Force)

  • Suomi the Spoink (Rectangular Force)
  • Dement the Silcoon (Rectangular Force, originally Wurmple but evolved just in case he would've become a Cascoon)

*proceeds to grab a red berry and sprint to room 33*

Yes, it doesn't need to be a damaging move.

BlissyMKW October 17th, 2019 5:56 AM

You know, I should've expected something like this would happen. At least Eevee is coming up, so at least I'll have something halfway viable for a while, or I might have to see what the grass has to offer since Stalker pretty much can't attack. Also, most of this was typed up before Rectangular Force happened, so...that's a thing.

Episode 4 - End of a Dream, Start of a Nightmare

Current Curses

Fridge Horror - No Fire move or Ice resist = No STAB moves. AKA rip Stalker.
Ghostly Adventure - Misdreavus is only in Mt. Silver.
Cursed Ground - No Ground, Rock, or Fighting types.
Too scared to move - Only 3 attacking moves. Irrelevant for Stalker because no STAB moves allowed anyway.
Making Frankenstein - Primary types for team members must be different. However, now with Rectangular Force, I'm pretty sure I'll be limited on the number of mons I can have at all.
Zombieland - Still irrelevant.
Starter-lock Hex - rip Blaze
Rectangular Force - Any non Ghost, Dark, or Poison types are banned.

So I had a good post in progress, then I accidently deleted it all and couldn't recover it. So, I'm just gonna give a highlight reel of what happened because now I'm mad and can't be bothered to retype all of that.

-We're kinda screwed because Stalker basically has no attacks
-Sudowoodo died because Hypnosis into Curse strats
-Psychic Greg almost ruined me because his Drowzee has Dream Eater strats.
-Back to Goldenrod to get Hex the Eevee, but because of Fridge Horror, I had to teach him the only move I could, Mud-Slap
-Battled the gym trainers in Ecrtueak, but not Morty, then the Kimono Girls
-Headed to Olivine to scoop up the Good Rod...and pray. I only found Magikarps, though.
-Went and caught a Growlithe...because I don't even know why anymore. I'm running out of plans. At least it's immune to Fridge Horror and can learn Dig...is what I would say, but I typed most of this up before Rectangular Force became a thing, so now the Growlithe is just box filler and a waste of Poke Balls.

So thanks to Rectangular Force and the fact I can't use Ground types, going and catching a Nidoran would be a waste of time since I wouldn't be allowed to evolve either of them. I can catch a Tentacool later for a Water type since it's also a Poison type, but I can't do that without access to Surf, so we have to do Morty with an Eevee with Mud-Slap and a Haunter that has no direct offense against 4 mons. Let's pick a god and pray. The Gastly got put to sleep right away and all it took was one Mud-Slap to kill it. The first Haunter was iffy since I missed two Hypnosis, but once I got it off, Hex managed to deal with it using a few Mud-Slaps. Next is the threat, the Gengar. I know for sure it outspeeds me and loves Hypnosis and Dream Eater. The plan was to switch Stalker in and pray it doesn't land it's own Hypnosis so I can use my own and Hypnosis it and follow up with Curse. Instead he just Shadow Balls me and I get one shot. Just when it couldn't get worse, he lands Hypnosis first shot and puts Hex to sleep. I didn't buy Awakenings, so I had to use one of my one Full Heals. He missed the second Hypnosis and I got a Mud-Slap off. After that began the Sand-Attack spam. Sure, he got off another one, but I had another Full Heal and he was already missing a ton.

Last was the second Haunter and I had almost no Mud-Slaps left. And by "almost none," I mean one. So after the Haunter wasted it's turn on Mean Look, I threw off the last Mud-Slap. Good thing I have Ethers. He has Spite, though, and just like that, it's back to no Mud-Slaps again. I only got off one. Figuring there was no point in wasting my last Ether, I decided to spam my useless moves to just try and Struggle him to death. It turns out this Haunter has Mimic and no actual way of hurting an Eevee, so while I was draining Quick Attack PP, he Mimic'd it. Eventually, he ran out of PP before I did and started Struggling to death. This is what we've come to. Eventually, and with a few heals, it killed itself with Stuggle. Because I didn't buy items, we only survived because I luckily had two Full Heals. This is just wild. At least I can go catch a Tentacool after I catch a Krabby as a Surf and Strength slave.

...Oh right. I still have to do the stuff. Well, considering that the last time I interacted with something, I blocked off a path, I'm not gonna try it this time. All my sets are already screwed and because Gen 2 has so limited options in the main story, taking a green berry will provide the least damage since the combination of other curses has already driven me into such a deep corner, I have to rely on a weak Ground move and Curse to not die. Let's go to Room 27. At least I'm halfway there.

The Team

Stalker (Haunter) Lv. 25 @ Nothing
Moves: Hypnosis, Lick, Curse, Mean Look

Hex (Eevee) Lv. 28 @ Nothing
Moves: Quick Attack, Tail Whip, Sand-Attack, Mud-Slap

Halloween Trick or Treat 2019 Platinum

Rules:
BIRDS!!!
Rectangular Force
Reversed Record Player
Zombie Dinner
Final Destination
Paranormal Encounter
Ghostly Adventure
Making Frakenstein
Zombieland

So quick note I did not fully read over the new rules since I completed the third gym in my free time and did not notice any of the new global rules. So if it seems like my team is breaking any of those rules then know it was when I was playing through the game when I was only aware of my personal rules. Anyway...Move to zone 25 and pick up two blue and one red berry. Though I will say...for the BIRDS!!! rule do I get rid of it since one of the Global Rules is only use Ghost, Dark, and Poison types?

Note: I completed the gym before realizing that Rectangular Force was in play. Also, I totally should have posted sooner.

Rules: Set Curse
Cursed Ground
Paranormal Adventure
Making Frankenstein
Zombieland
Rectangular Force

A lot of new rules fell into play during this section, so I'll discuss how they effected my team in order of arrival

Cursed Ground forbade me from using any effectively forced me to evolve Burmy into Wormadam Plant Cloak, and also prevented my from catching some other Pokemon that would have been helpful. It also meant that the only Ghost-type valid for Paranormal Adventure was Drifloon, so she got added to the team. Making Frankenstein also ended up being kind of a pain as it prevented me from catching a few Pokemon that I was hoping to use (not like they would have been valid after Rectangular Force came into effect.) And Zombieland was not applicable in any circumstances, so it didn't affect me. And on that note I'll take two green berries and one blue berry, as well as move to zone 13.

Team:
Luminix- Braixen (male) Lv. 24
Ability - Blaze
Moves: Scratch, Flame Change, Psybeam, Fire Spin

The Bag - Wormadam-Plant Cloak (female) Lv. 21

That's fine. All Global Rules takes effect for you with your next update (so this one). Applying the rules right away is optional.

POK3PALS FINDS TWO...
...towers. Sadly, he lost a Ring in the process. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

Anyway, not many berries are there, so pick wisely:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

DUNSPARCE GETS THIRSTY
Not just that. He's also scared. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

So this section full of graves isn't the best for him. Maybe he could drink some berries?
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

Yay finally had time to get the second gym done! I will choose a blue berry and move to room 10

Also a quick note: you have me down as playing Renegade Platinum but I'm actually playing Emerald

Curses:
Spoiler:

Forest’s Curse: Grass, Bug, Poison, and Flying types are now banned from your team unless they also possess the ghost or dark types. HM Slaves and pokemon mandated by another curse are exempt from this rule.
Rectangular Force (global rule): All Pokemon except Ghost, Dark, and Poison types are banned

Rectangular Force + Forest's Curse = All Pokemon except Ghost and Dark types are banned.
*New* Zombie Dinner: Any Pokémon that can learn any of the following moves must learn it as soon as possible and retain it for the remainder of the run: Bite, Crunch, Any of the Fang attacks (on Pokemon that can learn multiple, only one is required)

Gym 2:
Spoiler:

- Went back to route 102 and spent several unsuccessful minutes trying to find a Seedot. Caught a Ralts instead and traded it for Seedot in Rustboro
- Lycan evolved into Mightyena!
- Rescued Peeko and retrieved the Devon Goods
- Dots evolved into Nuzleaf! And officially won’t listen to me at all trading was a brilliant idea
- Defeated my rival, and we’re off to Dewford!
- Well. Facing off against a fighting gym with a normal/dark type and a pokemon that doesn’t want to listen to me? Fabulous.
- You know what Dots? YOU CAN BE REPLACED IF YOU DON’T WANT TO COOPERATE
- Or not. This encounter rate is ridiculous.
- Alright, gonna skip the gym for now and go catch a Sableye in the caves even though I can’t use Flash yet
- Caught a Sableye! And named him Gremlin
- Now can I find my way out of the caves in the dark lol
- Well, that was much easier with a pokemon immune to fighting attacks!

Second Gym in a row where Dewott had a type disadvantage. Oh well, it's not going to be around any longer due to the global rule. I decided that it would be a good idea to box my Golbat in exchange for a Braviary, a decision which I am now regretting due to that aforementioned rule. This gym was fairly difficult, since I didn't have any super-effective attacks against the Emolga.
Spoiler:

Spoiler: The rules as of now
  1. Dracula's apprentice: Any Pokémon that can learn any of the HP-draining moves must learn it as soon as possible and retain it for the remainder of the run. (starts from Roxanne arc)
  2. Ocean's Curse: Water, Ice, and Dragon types are now banned from your team, unless they also possess the Ghost or Dark types. HM slaves and Pokemon mandated by another curse are exempt from this rule. (starts from Brawly arc, stacks with rule #8 as of Norman arc)
  3. First-encounter clause: You may only capture and use the first Pokemon you encounter on each route for the remainder of the game. Your current Pokemon are unaffected, as are gifts. (starts from Wattson arc, becomes literal Nuzlocke as of Norman arc)
  4. Ghostly Adventure - GLOBAL RULE: Catch a Ghost-type (even if you already have one) as soon as possible. It must stay on your team for the rest of the game. It's also your best friend from now on. (got Afterburn during Wattson arc)
  5. Making Frankenstein - GLOBAL RULE: Your team must be composed with Pokémon with different primary types if possible from now on. (starts from Flannery arc)
  6. Zombieland - GLOBAL RULE: All of your forcefully boxed Pokémon are revived as zombies. They can only use physical contact moves and are immune to the curse that boxed them. But you can't in any circumstances use them on the same team as your current Pokémon. (only during Flannery arc)
  7. Locke Clause: Any fainted Pokemon for the remainder of the run must be boxed until the completion of the run. You may revive your current party before this rule goes into effect. (this + rule #3 = literal Nuzlocke as of Norman arc)
  8. Rectangular Force- GLOBAL RULE: All Pokémon except Ghost, Dark and Poison-types are banned from now on. (starts from Norman arc)
  9. Locked Ball Curse: The Poké Ball in your 2nd slot is now cursed. It cannot be opened, and is permanently locked to your belt. The Pokemon currently in your 2nd slot should be boxed for the remainder of the run. Additionally, you are now limited to one less Pokemon on your team. (bans Quon from Winona arc onward)

Back at home, Aile got an Amulet Coin and a new belt for her Pokeballs from her mom. The Amulet Coin looks normal, but the belt already has six Pokeballs attached there with one of them containing a Sceptile plush (probably as a reminder of what Fracture Ray could've been). She moved all of her squad's Pokeballs to the new belt, except Quon's which got stuck in the old belt for whatever reasons.
https://i.imgur.com/QQmlfIUm.jpg
And then someone knocked on the door. Turned out that Singularity had returned. He expressed his interest to rejoin Aile's gang, then went into the Sceptile plush Pokeball despite a mysterious someone (or something?) telling them that whoever occupying that Pokeball can no longer battle. Singularity shrugged it anyway, knowing that he wanted to be there as a surfer boy instead of a battler. That being settled, Aile separated Singularity's Pokeball from the rest, put it in one of her bag's pocket where Grievous Lady's Pokeball is in (Aile had been taking Grievous Lady with her for quite some time), and moved on.

During her trip, the girl did a bazillion of things. She helped Wattson to shut down New Mauville's generator, battled trainers here and there, dealt with more of Team Aqua shenanigans at the Weather Institute and Mt. Pyre, had some shopping spree at Lilycove Department Store, and explored the abandoned ship (originally S.S. Cactus) at Route 108. Again, the catchathon and evolutions were unavoidable during the whole adventure:
Spoiler: Catchathon
  • Kanagawa the Corphish at Petalburg City
  • Red and Blue the Carvanha at Route 118
  • Lumia the Castform at the Weather Institute (Aile can't use her, though)
  • Halcyon the Seedot at Route 120 (what luck, given Seedot's encounter rate there being 1%)
  • Trappola the Shuppet at Route 121
  • SOUNDWiTCH the Duskull at Mt. Pyre

Spoiler: Evolution
  • Red and Blue into Sharpedo (no Sharpedonite, unfortunately)
  • Flyburg into Crobat
  • Trappola into Banette (no Banettite, unfortunately)

Aile eventually made her way to Fortree City where she fought the gym leader, Winona. Unlike her battle with Mr. Dad Norman though, Ether Strike and Afterburn had to sit this one out because Red and Blue practically OHKOed both Winona's Tropius and Altaria, Flyburg easily took on Winona's Swablu, and Trappola shocked both Winona's Pelipper and Skarmory big time.
https://i.imgur.com/Ut4715Gm.jpg

Spoiler: The cursed ones
  • Singularity the Marill (Ocean's Curse Rectangular Force, designated HM buddy)
  • Modelista the Wingull (Ocean's Curse Rectangular Force)
  • Babaroque the Lotad (Ocean's Curse Rectangular Force)
  • Fracture Ray the Grovyle (Rectangular Force)
  • Grievous Lady the Linoone (Rectangular Force, designated HM buddy)
  • Iconoclast the Abra (Rectangular Force)
  • Purgatorium the Kirlia (Rectangular Force)
  • Chronostasis the Breloom (Rectangular Force)
  • Clotho the Graveler (Rectangular Force)
  • Syro the Numel (Rectangular Force)
  • Viyella the Aron (Rectangular Force)
  • Endroll the Hariyama (Rectangular Force)
  • Ignotus the Ninjask (Rectangular Force)
  • Nhelv the Taillow (Rectangular Force)
  • Conflict the Slakoth (Rectangular Force)
  • Vexaria the Whismur (Rectangular Force)
  • inkar-usi the Slugma (Rectangular Force)
  • Lucifer the Swablu (Ocean's Curse Rectangular Force)
  • Suomi the Spoink (Rectangular Force)
  • Dement the Silcoon (Rectangular Force, originally Wurmple but evolved just in case he would've become a Cascoon)
  • Quon the Koffing (Locked Ball Curse)
  • Lumia the Castform (Rectangular Force)

Since blue berries aren't that tasty (mainly because two of them = literal Nuzlocke), I'd like to have a red berry and go downstairs. And sorry for the weird story fluff about my latest curse and HM buddies, I just can't think of a better Halloween-related one.

I’ll edit in more details later but for now:

Defeated Falkner with Zag the Zubat, and also added Gale the Ghastly (and best ghost friend) to my team!

Update (more detailed edition):

Trick or Treat Challenge Part 1

Rules:
Starter lock hex - Your Starter can no longer be used.
Rectangular Force (GLOBAL RULE) - All Pokémon except Ghost, Dark and Poison-types are banned from now on
Ghostly Adventure (GLOBAL RULE) - Catch a Ghost-type (even if you already have one) as soon as possible. It must stay on your team for the rest of the game. It's also your best friend from now on.
Making Frankenstein (GLOBAL RULE) - Your team must be composed with Pokémon with different primary types if possible from now on.
Zombieland (GLOBAL RULE) - All of your forcefully boxed Pokémon are revived as zombies. They can only use physical contact moves and are immune to the curse that boxed them. But you can't in any circumstances use them on the same team as your current Pokémon.

I took a while to get started and a bunch of global rules popped up! (Though I guess Frankenstein rule doesn’t apply since I just started and never boxed anything!)

Anyway, I start off venturing over to Prof. Elm’s lab. He let me pick out my very own Pokémon! So I chose Scorch the Cyndaquil. Too bad I won’t get to use him for very long :(

I go off to Mr. Pokémon’s house to pick up an Egg, and also got my very own Pokédex from Prof. Oak! On the way back I ran into some jerk in Cherrygrove City who apparently stole a Pokémon (seriously not cool! I was also boring and just named him Silver). After delivering the Egg I was off on my journey, traveling the routes beyond Cherrygrove City. Due to the Rectangular Force rule, my Pokémon selection was limited. So I went to the incredibly Dark Cave and caught Zag the Zubat!

After arriving in Violet City, I proceeded to Sprout Tower where I met my best friend ghost, Gale the Gastly! Afterwards, I went back to Route 31 and caught Sai the Spinarak and Leaf the Bellsprout! Zag was really the only one that could take on Falkner (Sai and Leaf would be weak to Flying types and Gale wouldn’t be able to attack with Ghost moves) so I then leveled up Zag until it learned Astonish at level 9 and went back to take on Sprout Tower. Got Zag to level 13 to learn Bite and defeated the Elder to get Flash TM.

I went straight to the gym and with a combo of Bite and Supersonic from Zag (and a few potions to heal against Pidgeotto) I took down Falkner!

Current Team:
https://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/3/39/Spr_4p_041_m.png
Zag ♂ Lv. 15
- Leech Life
- Astonish
- Bite

https://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/9/9f/Spr_4h_092.png
Gale ♀ Lv. 8
- Hypnosis
- Lick
- Spite

https://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/8/83/Spr_4h_069.png
Leaf ♂ Lv. 3
- Vine Whip

https://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/9/91/Spr_4h_167.png
Sai ♂ Lv. 4
- Poison Sting
- String Shot

I’ll go to room 11 and take a green berry please!

INKBLOTS LOSES SOME ITEMS
This cemetery has an item embargo. You should follow it. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

Well, this section is pretty boring. There is a huge sign that has nothing written on it. But you also found few berries:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.

CRUNCH'S POKÉ BALL ISN'T WORKING
Well, that happens even to the best of us. New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

Crunch got to the section with mysterious staircase. Can he make it down there before the ghost of Pikachu? There isn't much time to pick berries, so here's only few:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run. You also encountered special event. The map can change based on your action.

SANIACHAN IS TRAPPED!
But at least she got the berry! New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

She's in the underground now. There is an altair and a weird black rectangular thingy. She can interact with any of them. There isn't any escape route or berries. What a weird place. You can't pick a berry for this segment, but interacting with any of the objects will add one rule to your run.

MIAU ARRIVED TO HER FINAL DESTINATION
Will she survive? New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

Well, what say about this section? There is a Poké Ball! Pick it up! And take more berries with it:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run. You also encountered special event. The map can change based on your action.

SUPERJOLT SLASHES HIS WAY THROUGH THE CEMETERY
He's unstoppable just like Jason! They even look similar... New rule has been added, check your character on the map.

It has been a while since someone was in this section, so it's all covered in the spider web. But there are still some berries:
Pick one or more berries to continue. One berry will add one rule to your run.
