We’ve been having some server issues so I am going to extend this round by a few days. You can do your battles on the main showdown server if ours is still down when you are able to battle.

I don't think it's quite fair to all the competitors if replays aren't saved. It is a required part of the rules in the first post, so why are people treating it like it's optional?
Having replays saved doesn't even offer competitive advantage, it just provides definitive proof that two people have battled. Scouting teams shouldn't be an issue because you can just switch teams. By the way, people can search your replays once you've saved them. The argument should be between saving and not saving, if there is any argument to be made at all. |
I don’t really mind either way if people post them or not. I just always add to do so in the rules so it’s easy confirmation but if both people confirm the match that works just as well.
Anyways round two has started! Gimmepie vs yoshikko Dark Azelf vs ooka You have one week. Best of luck! |

Also if anyone wants teams, Smogon probably has sample teams. I also have some teams but I cannot guarantee that they will match your playstyle or tastes. |
Idk if I already posted but i have to forfeit my round
|
beat gimmepie! ggs man :) we agreed not to post the replays, it was my request as the winner and gimmepie was okay with it
and i sent chase both replays so he can confirm |
Congrats! I’ll post the finals once the last match is completed.
Also apologies for the confusion on the rule of replays. Going to discuss with the rest of BSS what would be the best way to handle replays in the future. After this tournament there will be a concrete rule in place of either posting them or PMing the event host. I’d be absolutely fine with the latter and we can post all replays after the tour is finished. |

in light of this i want to vote for the second option. reasoning: posting replays functions as a confirmation of the victory. sending them to the host and having them confirm it should suffice. there are strategic reasons for not wanting replays posted while the tour is still ongoing, while there are not many benefits of posting them publicly as opposed to privately. |
I am not opposed to seeing what the community thinks. If anyone else wants to weigh in on this feel free to suggest it in another thread so this doesn't get derailed :)
