I don't really know much about EV's so i left that alone.

Mullet July 5th, 2005 10:45 PM

Swampert doesn't need Rest, it's a Cursepurt. Plus Chesto Berry is only a one time use, and shouldn't be used often, plus I don't like Chesto Resting. Although, I will use it with a Resting Lanturn!

Blaziken is my Subrevver. I might put Rock Slide over Oveheat, and give it an Adamant nature.

On Dragonite, Boltbeam>EQ, the Boltbeam/Subpunch set owns a lot of types so I'm good.

Thanks for the rate!

no problem oh and im kind of new to like ev's and strategy movestes. ive playd pokemon since red/blue but i had no idea bout that stuff until about a week ago lol.

Mullet July 5th, 2005 10:58 PM

Well in the stickied topic "Official RSFrLgE EV and Moveset Help Topic", Husk, Dan Dan, C-dog, and I put up (starting with the most OU pokes), the most common movests, and EVs of different pokes. You may also ask questions, or resquest a set to be put up and one of use will get on it when we can. Go check it out!:D

Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 60 HP / 120 Atk / 132 Def / 198 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Curse
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide/Ice Beam
- Surf
I suggest to go with Rock Slide. I edited a few things on the EVs: since this is a Cursepert, it will need many EVs in sp.def to survive a HP Grass or any grass type moves while it'll curse up. You'll probably switch out normally when the opponent sends in Sceptile/etc. since without IB you will probably not be able to kill them. But if it's your last pokemon, then trust the sp.def as I used those EVs and my Cursepert survived a Leaf Blade!
There's no need for so many EVs in HP as you won't give it subpunch and it would only kill Bliss with 101 subs which ask for maxed hp so you should rather focus on defenses instead of hp.

Sceptile (M) @ Petaya Berry
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Leaf Blade
- Leech Seed
- Substitute
- Thunderpunch
It's ok, though I've grown to like HP Ice more than T-punch on him. Sub-leechseed-petaya can work, but I rather like giving it either Crunch or Dragon Claw which do a good damage to almost everything.

Blaziken (M) @ Salac Berry
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Lonely Nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Earthquake
- Overheat
- Reversal
- Substitute
It's fine.

Raikou @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 16 HP / 252 Spd / 214 SAtk / 28 SDef
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
It's ok. I think that HP Ice>HP Grass in some situations, though. If you don't want to give it to Sceptile, then maybe give it to him. It also does damage to grounds and can cause a little surprize, too because the opponent waits for the standard hp grass. Of course swamperts can cause a little problem without having hp grass...

Suicune @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 240 HP / 100 Def / 8 Spd / 26 SAtk / 136 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Roar
- Surf
It's fine, though I think that 1/3 of the EVs in HP could go into defense.

Dragonite (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 46 HP / 212 Spd / 252 SAtk
Lonely Nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Focus Punch
- Ice Beam
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
100%

Hope this will help you. Well, good luck!

Mullet July 6th, 2005 8:48 AM

Thanks for the Swampert EV advice that's all I really needed. I've got Nite to Boltbeam, so that takes care of the HP [Ice] need. I was considering HP [Ice]/[Fire] for Sceptile, but meh. I'll try it out.

Thanks for the rate!
:D

=/ I use offensive swampert when I leave rest off but, defensive is fine I guess, You nature needs to be +Def though and Hydro pump serves you better than surf in this case.

Sceptile (M) @ Petaya Berry
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Leaf Blade
- Leech Seed
- Substitute
- Thunderpunch

I'd place HP: ice over T-Punch since T-Punch only covers gyarados where as HP: ice covers the more OU dragons and grasses who can't be seeded

Blaziken (M) @ Liechi Berry
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Lonely Nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Earthquake
- Overheat
- Reversal
- Substitute

Swords Dance over Earthquake and he should be equipped with a salac berry, I'd make that nature -SpDef

Raikou @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 16 HP / 252 Spd / 214 SAtk / 28 SDef

 , watch out for celebi

EVs: 240 HP / 100 Def / 8 Spd / 26 SAtk / 136 SDef

- Surf

again

Dragonite (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 46 HP / 212 Spd / 252 SAtk
Lonely Nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Focus Punch
- Ice Beam
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt

more HP and Atk and atleast 240 speed

I like having only one of the legendary beasts on my team at a time but, I didn't write that analysis for nothing =)

I like these Evs on Swampert, though it can't take a CB'ed HP:Fly from Mence well.

EVs: 240 HP / 88 Def / 124 SAtk / 58 SDef
Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)

This team needs something that can take normal attack well but, mainly flying attacks well, possibley a steel type over Blaziken, not skarmory since you need a rock resistance as well, possibley a CB Metagross with some HP and Def.

Also no offense but, for a defensive swampert don't use the Evs posted by torkoal as every Swampert needs at least 240 Evs in HP

for a defensive one I'd use

EVs: 240 HP / 120 Def / 92 SAtk / 56 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)

Some people like more of a certain defense stat, and if you are one of those people you should take that from the Evs in SpAtk

BTW swampert needs to have Ice beam because intimidate from salamence ruins rockslide unless you load it with attack Evs

Mullet July 6th, 2005 10:52 AM

My EVs are pretty close to yours, it does have 240 in HP, I like Sassy natured Swampert. I'll try your suggestions out though. I have considered HP [Ice] on Sceptile. I based the the dogs off your guide, well I knoew the sets but I'm not good with their EVs. With both it gives me a good Water type other than Swampert, and a good Electric type. Raikous T-bolt handles Mence.:D

husk1442 July 6th, 2005 11:30 AM

=/ I was talking about Torkoal's ev spread

Mullet July 6th, 2005 11:58 AM

Oh, okay. So any suggestions for an EV spread, for Metagross. I've got the set.

[email protected]
EVs:Help on EVs
Nature:Adamant
Explosion
Agility
Earthquake
Meteor Mash

All I need is EV help.
:D

husk1442 July 6th, 2005 12:42 PM

your team needs the CB'er

with:
EVs: 196 HP / 176 Atk / 136 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

Mullet July 6th, 2005 2:14 PM

Not every team needs a CB'er, I need a Steel type to be a physical wall, but not a CB'er.:\

husk1442 July 6th, 2005 2:16 PM

it needs a CB so that you need to put less Evs into Speed and Atk and can concentrate on HP and def while still wielding nice attack power

Mullet July 6th, 2005 2:25 PM

Speed is good regardless of CB. Why less speed, CB doesn't add speed. You always have to pick one attack when you switch in.:\

husk1442 July 6th, 2005 4:22 PM

right but, metagross's speed is really irrelevant unless you are using agility, which requires 198 speed. otherwise I'd only put 4 or 8 Evs in =/

Mullet July 6th, 2005 5:37 PM

I was going to use Agilitygross.

Ice demon July 6th, 2005 5:58 PM

what i think husk is saying is that CB gross lets u concentrate EVs in def and hp while still packing a nice punch. While u need a specific amt of evs in sp for agiligross to work [as well as att].Since u need a nice physical tank of sorts then CBgross would be the obivious choice.
