My team...

Okay, I am a bit embarrassed to post these, but I will because I need help. I am not a good trainer, and do not know what moves are good and not, and just pick them randomly sometimes.

If you can help me with my team, thanks.

I have stockpiled a few Heart Scales, so I can do that if I need to.

Hariyama (M) Lvl 40
Tackle
Vital Throw
Surf
DynamicPunch

Tropius (M) Lvl 27
Fly
Razor Leaf
Stomp
Sweet Scent

Gorebyss (M) Lvl 23
Clamp
Water Gun
Whirlpool
Iron Defense

Manectric (F) Lvl. 34
Spark
Shock Wave
Quick Attack
Thunder Wave

and either

Anorith (M) Lvl 20
Scratch
Harden
Mud Sport
Water Gun

or

Lairon (F) Lvl 34
Earthquake
Iron Tail
Secret Power
Headbutt

And I need a sixth one that will even it out...any suggestions?

Don't be embarrassed about posting them, since this section of the message board is to help people.

If you can help me with my team, thanks.

Hariyama (M) Lvl 40 @ Leftovers
Focus Punch
Substitute
Knock Off
Rock Slide/Earthquake

Subpunch can deal lots of damage, Knock Off gets rid of Shedinjas and knocks off the opponents hold items. Rock Slide can cover his flying weakness, but Earthquake has more attack power and accuracy.

Tropius (M) Lvl 27 @ Leftovers
Sunny Day
Solarbeam
Hidden Power Fire
Synthesis

Just use Sunny Day and his other 3 moves will be powered up. He'll speed up, too because of his ability.

Gorebyss (M) Lvl 23 @ Leftovers
Surf
Baton Pass
Ice Beam/Iron Defense/Amnesia/Agility
Amnesia/Agility/Iron Defense/Ice Beam

I use this pokemon as a Baton Passer.

Manectric (F) Lvl. 34 @ Leftovers
Thunderbolt
Thunder Wave
Hidden Power Ice/Grass/Water
Crunch

and either

Anorith (M) Lvl 20
Scratch
Harden
Mud Sport
Water Gun

or

Lairon (F) Lvl 34
Earthquake
Iron Tail
Secret Power
Headbutt

Use Lairon, but evolve him first, cause you won't be able to use the following moveset then: Focus Punch, Substitute, Double-Edge(if he has Rock Head as trait)/Return(if not), Earthquake/Rock Slide/Counter.

And I need a sixth one that will even it out...any suggestions?

Maybe try a fire type like Camerupt or Torkoal for tank, Blaziken is a good mixed sweeper, or you can try Arcanine, too.
If you think that you would need rather a ground type, try Flygon or Donphan.

Btw, next time include hold items, ok? ;)

Seems like you haven't got that far in the game, but anyway, I hope my suggestions will help you. Well, good luck!

SkittyLover July 8th, 2005 3:11 AM

Thanks!

I like Camerupt, I will pick him. :)

And I usually don't use hold items, are they really useful?

Squarewalker July 8th, 2005 3:36 AM

You're welcome.
Yes, hold items are quite useful. It's not a bad thing to regain some HP with Leftovers in the battle, isn't it.

And here's a Camerupt moveset then:
Overheat
Rock Slide
Earthquake
Explosion

I like Overheat, but I wish there were more PP for it. Then again, every time you use it, it drops your Sp. Att, so maybe that would not be the best idea.

On the risk of getting OT, where do I find Leftovers? I have not seen one.

Squarewalker July 8th, 2005 8:53 AM

Rock Slide, Earthquake and Explosion use Camerupt's attack stat so only Overheat's power will be lowered. You can always switch out and you can use a full-powered Overheat again.

You can find Leftovers on the ship in R/S/E that goes from Slateport to Lilycove after you beat the E4. You can also get Leftovers from Colosseum I heard, though I don't have Colosseum, so I don't know about that.

Mullet July 8th, 2005 8:58 AM

You can get Leftovers in Colloseum, and In FR/LG you get it under the Snorlax with the Itemfinder.

Nature:252 Attack, 129 Defence, 129 HP
Substitute
Reversal
Cross Chop
HP [Ghost]

Best Hariyama set ever.
:D

SapphireL July 8th, 2005 9:04 AM

I like the Physical Sweeping Tropius more. I'm a bit hazy on the EVs though. >_<

Tropius (Adamant Nature) @Leftovers
EVs: 252 Attack and some Def and Sp.Def
-Aerial Ace
-Swords Dance
-EQ
-Steel Wing

I hope this helps.

SkittyLover July 8th, 2005 9:50 AM

I actually have two Tropius, one is shiny. So maybe I will use both. :)

Thank you all. :)
