Sothis March 12th, 2021 12:11 AM

I injured my shoulder so sleep is just a pipe dream atm.
It's been this way for days.

Caite-chan March 12th, 2021 12:47 AM

I've been awake for a few hours and trying to go back to sleep. Not looking forward to work and wish I could have the weekend off.

pkmin3033 March 12th, 2021 12:55 AM

3.5 hours until freedom for a couple of days...not that it’ll really feel like it. These last four months have been horrendous.

Sami March 12th, 2021 3:18 AM

i want my week off so much aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

just 4,5 more hours

How are all you lovely peeps doing today? 😊

You asked for gecko so I give you gecko <3. (Still trying to work out how to upload pics without using the attachment process so if this post is too big let me know ^_^;; )

Morika March 12th, 2021 5:44 AM

Awww Rango is super cute~! ❤
A great model my cat is as well, heh. It makes me wanna get a Leopard Gecko now however I don't know much about them still. *sighs* I'm still learning about them at this time.

Sheep March 12th, 2021 7:44 AM

Awww! I don't think I'd be able to own a gecko since I probably wouldn't be the best at taking care of them, but that is super cute!!

It's alright sometimes it takes a lot of research first then just going for it and getting the pet to try it out to see if can handel it. When I was younger it was with pet mice afterwards then rats and now I'm a pretty good expert in my own way knowing information about them if I ever get more.

Awww your cat sounds adorable <333. I'd love a cat but we don't have enough room and both my dad and sister are allergic so they would never be able to visit. If you need any tips or advice about leos please feel free to DM me. I love helping when it come's to animals. But as with any animal it's always best to do research before hand. But it is an everyday learning experience.

Awww. They are one of the easiest reptile's to keep. If you are considering getting one feel free to DM <3

Get a refund!! How rude of them! XD. Awwww thanks lovely <3. I would say he loves you all too but he's currently having a teen tantrum and hates everyone 😆. But will boop for you.

OT: Woo! My planters came so I can start planting this weekend 😁

Yes, I 1000% agree research A LOT first, also yes I'll message you if I have any questions for sure~! ₍՞◌′ᵕ‵ू◌₎
All those pictures of your Rango makes me like / love Leopard Gecko's even more I would actually ❤ get one sometime. Though Researching TONS about them still and deep thinking about it A LOT. I don't work due to my mental health that's pretty severe now sadly and a learning disability I have as well. ( I'm still smart I'm just a slower learner than regular people is all, however I never quit and always give 100% my best at whatever I do ) So I have LOTS of time on my hands to take care of another animal if I wanted too right now. I'll save up even more money and research still if I fully decided on a pet to get.

My Mother's all for it if I decided to get any pet though not another cat or dog but smaller animal she said I could do. ( My sister and I live in a apartment complex, I live with my older sister as roommates she has a cat too named Nala we both rescued and adopted Tac and Nala 5 years ago they both get along well, love other and us very much. Though Tac is OBSESSED LOVES me and truly a therapy cat, he helps me a lot with my mental health and if I need comfort as well. ) My mother says I have LOTS of love to give every animal we have in our lives right now, my families and mine. My parents have 4 dogs, and 2 outside cats we take care of that are strays but their our neighborhood cats really. However they both really love and are bonded with my family and I the dogs love them and get along wonderfully with the cats. Our neighbor Patty an older lady helps take care of them too at times for us.
Though owning pet Dumbo rats again would be very nice to have again in my life, I miss my rat girls Moo and Cherry.

Lastly Tac is definitely a handsome cat I think he's very good when he gets photos taken of him. He Just has the right look at the right time modeling perfectly for photo's.

We have a couple of cats we rescued. One keeps opening doors.

Sorry to hear about your mental health hun. I was exactly the same for a while so I understand where you are coming from <3 (Now I only work 8 hours a week but due to underlying health conditions and this pandemic I can't currently go to work. Thank God for Zoom though). I do hope you're OK <3.

On the topic of mental health, I suffer with extreme anxiety which lead to panic attacks but since having Rango these panic attacks have reduced and he's seriously helped with my anxiety. Just having him on my shoulder or curled up in my hoodie relaxes me. So I definitely recommend a leopard gecko if you have anxiety. I think you'd make a great gecko parent <33.

Your cats and dogs sound adorable!! <3. Just a heads up though, cats are OBSESSED with reptiles so I wouldn't get the gecko out in the same room that a cats in. My best friend has a snake and whenever she opens the door to the room the snake's in, her cat is in and paws at the vivarium. So yes just watch out. And Dumbo rats are the sweetest <33

It's alright it's getting better slowly with the help of my therapist and family's full support I'm making treadmedious progress of finding happiness and peace once again in my life. I have a VERY long way to go to be 100% good though I improve everyday in some small way, so I always accomplished something everyday. I get money aid from my government in my country to help me live and survive , so I do get help financially. My anxiety is severe I have GAD and social anxiety mixed with the fear of people and leveing my house its tough sometimes. Also have C-PTSD as well that makes it hard being around people. Lastly I have other mental health issues but those really effect my life more making it hard for me.

Though last week when we had wonderful Spring like weather I walked places and went near a place where I live in my apartment complex I walked to a small store close by. It was extremely scary I must admit being by myself though I manage each time well and made small talk with the cash register people there. I had a very awesome week my therapist was super proud of me I never did that last year so a whole year of never going there or that far was a huge accomplishment for me. Oh I know how to separate animals don't worry If I got pet rats, or a lizard I'd keep them safe from my cat. 101 must know for sure. Leopard Geckos can help from anxiety, really? That's interesting..

I'll message you sometime soon for Leopard Gecko advice for sure just to learn more about them.
I also just don't do nothing for work I clean my place and help clean my parents house if they need help for their house work. So yeah I do housework a lot and also help babysit my parent's pets our families if they need to be watched as well. On the side I do arts and crafts projects. I'll possibly sell my work perhaps one day for extra money, though being famous, popular and rich I don't care for honestly. I just like to make others happy, smile and laugh that there is fulfillment and satisfaction for me if I helped someone in some way.

Literally! TJ is a big cat (like structure wise) and just slams himself into the door and forces it open. After which he proceeds to wake up my mother.

My cat Tac I think he's about medium sized for a cat and a bit tubby he paws the door trying to get in, then gose underneath the door sticking his paw through opening the door that way. We have a lot of door stoppers in our apartment becuase he gets into our closets and the washer and dryer area closet a lot. Silly cat.

Leaf - I do hope you're OK. Hopefully the warm weather will help. And sure PM me any time.

Our old dog use to be able to open doors. Rather annoying when he wanted to go out at 3am 😒

Thank you for caring Dill I'm alright, really. I was once a survivor now I thrive. It's sadly going be cloudy or rainy for this weekend and part of next week with cooler temperatures as well were I reside. I can still take my walks unless rain comes and yeah I'll message you sometime for information. Please take care~!

Sothis March 14th, 2021 6:24 PM

It needs to be spring already, my fingers are all bandaged up because they keep splitting open from the dryness.

pkmin3033 March 14th, 2021 9:41 PM

I wouldn't mind skipping the next six weeks or so either...

Megan March 14th, 2021 11:28 PM

I wouldn't mind skipping the next six months, tbh. Though, for different, more global, reasons, of course. I wonder if my country gets their stuff together by that time...then again, it's an election year, so who knows.

pkmin3033 March 14th, 2021 11:48 PM

Skipping Spring and Summer is appealing. They say you shouldn’t wish your life away, but tbh right now it isn’t much of a life and I wouldn’t miss it.

Morika March 15th, 2021 5:25 AM

Spring I like and enjoy the season however the Summer time is dreadful, hot and now the humidity here is extremely bad. If we skipped Summer here I'd be good and happy.

Setsuna March 15th, 2021 12:07 PM

Spring sounds nice... We're halfway through March but it feels way colder than it was around this time last year. I really enjoyed early March and it kinda sucks I've just thought it's been too cold or whatever to go out this year.

Sami March 15th, 2021 2:05 PM

its still freezing over here and I dont like it, 2 weeks ago it was so nice

this country sucks i want to move away >:(

Sothis March 15th, 2021 8:32 PM

Straight up snows in late April here,

pkmin3033 March 15th, 2021 9:42 PM

I'd love some proper snow. It snowed for like an hour earlier this year and it didn't stick ;-;

Starlight March 15th, 2021 9:58 PM

We had lovely weather a couple of weeks back. Now it's just miserable every day.

At least the temperature has gone up a good bit the last day or so, it was freezing 🥶

pkmin3033 March 15th, 2021 10:17 PM

What you describe as "miserable" is the kind of weather I love the most. xD

Starlight March 15th, 2021 10:53 PM

I love the rain, I love the wind, but the weather here lately really is just... miserable 😅

Roni March 15th, 2021 11:32 PM

it's been nothing but sunny and rainy the past few weeks here. i'd much rather have blaring heat constantly since our roof constantly leaks in heavy rains.

also i should REALLY get to doing my laundry soon. i've been procrastinating it for some time now and i'm really running out of clothes :p

pkmin3033 March 16th, 2021 1:20 AM

It’s been cold and rainy more often than not here - I don’t mind it at all, although being woken up at 4 by rain on my window isn’t something I am super keen on. But I’ll take this over heat any day.

Morika March 16th, 2021 8:18 AM

We might get more rain later this week again were I reside. It be nice since we actually need rain to help nature grown more and bloom, I just hope nothing severe happens.

~Dill~ March 16th, 2021 10:13 AM

Bleh I dislike rain. I come from the wettest city in England (apparently). I could do with some nice weather.

Sami March 16th, 2021 10:19 AM

I've had enough rain this week already, i would like some 15 degrees Celsius weather tyvm

Fairy March 16th, 2021 2:36 PM

oh man the forum splash looks so good! :O

Meganium March 16th, 2021 6:26 PM

Every time I come in here there's always weather talk.

Sothis March 16th, 2021 6:29 PM

It easily builds discussion lol
I live right next to the Atlantic ocean, that's all you need to know.

Setsuna March 16th, 2021 6:34 PM

Yeah, to be fair, everyone has some kind of weather in their area, so I guess that's why it's a common discussion topic. Easy to get going and anyone can add in whatever's going on in their area. Reminds me I can talk about "normal people things" and that's kinda nice too.

Sothis March 16th, 2021 6:38 PM

The north Atlantic is evil.

Morika March 17th, 2021 7:15 AM

I live in a boring place in the middle of nowhere. A place that there's nothing really to special here to do as well.

I live in the state that could "slap" the taste out of anyone's mouth. We also have what I call a dog above us too.

pkmin3033 March 17th, 2021 7:58 AM

I live in the United Kingdom or, as it is affectionately known, "TERF Island" >.>

...there are other names, but since Abigail Thorn called it that in her coming out video I haven't been able to get it out of my head. xD

Megan March 17th, 2021 8:34 AM

I live in a country that knows how to get into lockdown but doesn't know how to get out of it. We are also good at handling vaccination poorly, have politicians who enrich themselves upon shady medical mask selling deals and even though we have guidelines how to handle the pandemic none of the federal states actually care about them and just do whatever they feel like.

Or to sum it up: we are the country of democratic bureaucracy xD

~Dill~ March 17th, 2021 8:59 AM

Yeh....the UK has handled the pandemic badly. We should have gone into a full lockdown earlier on. I mean look at New Zealand. I wont get on my soap box as you won't hear the end of it.

Anyhoo! I've just been watching Vikings and this happens:

Spoiler:
Me: *shocked face*

Husband: Has Iver killed his brother yet?

Me: EVERYONE'S DEAD!!!!

Husband: Ah. Ok then.

Note: Not everyone's dead. I was overexaggerating but boy oh boy

Each province has some degree of autonomy here, but we all locked down and loosened at the same time. PM's wife cause COVID and isolated with her.
In my province, wearing a mask is mandatory in hospitals, care facilities, stores, restaurants (unless eating), apartments unless in your unit.
You can't have more than 10 people in a house, regardless of if they're family.

If you're having a larger gathering, each person attending is fined $1000.

Meganium March 17th, 2021 8:00 PM

We (Texas) said byebye to our mask mandate last week, and so far we had a lady near my city who got arrested twice for "trespassing", due to lack of mask wearing.

Lots of crazy peeps 'round here.

pkmin3033 March 17th, 2021 10:18 PM

I cannot fathom why anyone would choose not to wear a mask in public right now.

Fairy March 17th, 2021 10:37 PM

I live in New Jersey and we have a whole trash island BEAT THAT — also anyone not wearing a mask in public rn should be forced to live out their days on said trash island period.

Starlight March 17th, 2021 10:52 PM

I'm exempt from wearing them for several reasons... and I still wear them. If I can manage it, then so can the majority of others.

pkmin3033 March 17th, 2021 10:55 PM

Well, if you can't wear a mask because of a medical condition or similar, that's another matter entirely, because it's not really by choice that you don't wear one. But if you don't have a serious, valid reason - which personal discomfort is most definitely not - then...yeah, I don't get it.

I'm probably going to start wearing a mask all the time I go out now that the kids have gone back to school...I live in a tiny village and it gets super busy on the streets, so avoiding people is harder =/

Oh absolutely! That's what I meant by majority. Simple discomfort is no reason to put other people's lives in danger :)

I have breathing difficulties when wearing one, so I tend to avoid puplic places altogether. My partner will usually go in by herself, while I stay in the car. If I do need to go in, then I have to take breaks and find a quiet area that I can take it off for a while to let my breathing catch up. I get some real evil looks for doing that sometimes, but I have no choice, and I always put it straight back on if anyone comes even anywhere near. I really shouldn't be wearing one, but I'm not gonna make it any easier for this horrid disease 😔

I hope this pandemic eases really soon. The sun is coming, and even moderate temperatures are more than enough for everyone to throw all precautions away around these parts :(

I just didn't want my last post to imply that everyone should be wearing a mask irrespective of their personal circumstances is all, which it kinda came across as when I read it back, haha.

I mean, obviously people are free to do whatever they want - it's your health, etc. etc. - but if you don't have a medical reason for it...well...wearing a mask in public costs you nothing, and it protects you and others from something that could very easily kill you. I just don't understand why some people have to make a fuss over it =x

Do you think you'll get access to a vaccine anytime soon? I'm not sure what the situation is like elsewhere in the world, but I think the UK has been prioritising people with more serious health conditions alongside the elderly and frontline health and social care workers. Probably the only thing the government has done right with the pandemic is the speed at which the vulnerable and elderly have been vaccinated =x

I understand exactly what you mean :)

Yeah I had the Pfizer jab a while ago, not had my second dose yet though.

My partner hasn't had any yet, even though our doctor thinks she should have based on her medical problems. I guess it depends on more than just the cohort guidelines they made public 🤔

Nice! I had my first Pfizer back at the end of January thanks to work, got my second coming up this time next month. We've all had ours now - mother works in a school, brother is in a care home, and father is over sixty - so that's a huge relief.

I've benefited a lot from the pandemic thanks to WFH, but it's been a very stressful time and it's delayed some very important things - like meeting up with my partner, moving out, etc - and it'll come as a relief when things are a little more relaxed. I doubt I'll leave home without a mask on for a very long time - if ever - but still. xD

I've benefited a lot from the pandemic thanks to WFH, but it's been a very stressful time and it's delayed some very important things - like meeting up with my partner, moving out, etc - and it'll come as a relief when things are a little more relaxed. I doubt I'll leave home without a mask on for a very long time - if ever - but still. xD

I'm so glad you all got jabbed! Like you said, it's about the only thing this government has got right! Although they did mess mine up a bit - they sent me the letter then forgot to contact me - so I was a bit late getting it for my group, but I think that may have been my local practice's fault tbh.

WFH has changed everything I think, and the world is gonna be very different in that department in the future. That totally sucks about the restrictions on meeting up with your partner though :(

I hope you won't need to wait much longer :)

Idiots =x
Did you get a shielding letter? I didn't, and that was...unsettling. My health has been monitored for the better part of the last decade and I was mostly forgotten about once the pandemic hit. Not that I mind that to some extent - I hate being checked on - but yeah, I think my local surgery has struggled with things as well. Overworked and underpaid =/

I'm hoping WFH will become a new normal - or at least an accepted normal alongside office working - because I don't think I could ever go back to the office after this (and if they try, I'll be having words with my GP - if nothing else I couldn't do my current hours in office) and really I think the pandemic has demonstrated just how beneficial WFH is and how unnecessary being in an office can be. There have been resource problems, but we've all managed well enough...in fact, considering we've been down one person since November, I think we've done more than well enough >.>

Well, we've waited four years, a few more months won't kill us, haha. Better to be separated and alive than together and ill or struggling!

No, I never got a shielding letter, which means I couldn't access food delivery slots for a while when I should have been able too. My doctors told me I have to though, figure that out. I have heard a few others not getting the letter too. Must be hell working in the NHS right now tbf.

I seen enough when I was rushed to A&E last March. The pandemic had just hit, and my local hospital didn't have proper protocols in place at that time. There was covid patients everywhere on the emergency ward I was put on. I will never forget seeing them all, or the doctors, nurses, porters etc. struggling so much to deal with it all. My sister-in-law recently told me she wasn't gonna get the jab because "covid doesn't scare her". I told her about it in graphic detail, and she soon stopped that and got vaccinated.

*massive hugs* to anyone on PC who works in any essential areas btw <3

I hope you get to be together soon! :)

We got my step father's death certificate.
Thing is, his bills are not forgiven, we have to pay them.

Megan March 19th, 2021 9:46 AM

Feeling a little bit unwell. Last thing I need is getting sick during the pandemic, though. <_<
Welp, time to mass consume water and tea!

Reminds me of my mother. She works in a home for older people and told me that neither she nor her colleges want to get vaccinated because side effects and whatnot. She also was quarantined a couple weeks because of covid but is doing fine now. Not sure if she got vaccinated, though. Did I mention that we have a priority list and we are still at the 70+ year range, going down?

"Sorry, your father died. He had debt. It's not your fault, but you're gonna pay it, anyway". <- the system working as intended.
Hope it's not too much!

I'm sorry for your loss Sandalphon. I know what it's like to lose a family member that close. Sorry you have to pay his bills. *hugs*

Hate to add to the sad train here, but I just found out my Grandma has Covid. She is hospitalized now and is taking meds. I'm scared for her.

I hope the bills aren't too much and they can be sorted through without much stress. Please remember to take care of yourself.

Here when someone passes, nobody becomes liable for another's debt (unless it was joint) but a creditor can make a claim against the estate.

I don't know what the laws are in your country, but now is really not the time for harassment 😡

Try to stay strong Sandalphon :)

*big hugs* for both of you

No debts are forgiven here, even in death.
Like if you die and your rent is due? Your family has to pay it.

Megan March 21st, 2021 7:11 AM

I somehow managed to burn through my entire stash of Green Tea during the weekend. Now I'm down to Cranberry tea and Ginger tea...

I like the Cranberry one especially as it lacks this sour taste a lot of fruit teas have. It was a little on the expensive site, though.

Sothis March 21st, 2021 9:35 PM

I only saw "entire stash of green" at first lol

pkmin3033 March 21st, 2021 9:47 PM

Another weekend gone...day-to-day living is really exhausting right now =/

Megan March 21st, 2021 10:20 PM

And another month of lockdown ahead! I know I shouldn't keep complaining because there's a good reason behind it. At the same time, it doesn't change the fact that politicians in my country can't get things under control and everything is overbeaurocratized (is this even a word? Well, it should be!). Also AZs vaccine is now being rejected by the majority of the population which means a lot of doses just end up sitting around, waiting to expire because a lot of the people who actually do have the opportunity cancel it because "oh now medicine can have side effects". Btw. they also have found out what caused that side effect and even have found ways to treat it in case it actually happens (the chance of it occuring is also very very low, btw.).

pkmin3033 March 21st, 2021 10:24 PM

The fuss surrounding the AZ vaccine is absolutely absurd - there is literally no evidence of the things that are being claimed, and if it's approved for use by regulators who actually know what they're talking about, that should be good enough. It's pathetic anti-vax propoganda.

My father had the AZ jab a couple of weeks ago and he had absolutely no side effects.

I have to finish this project before midnight (so in an hour and 15 minutes) and I don't want to work on it

All I can say is... that sucks!

It breaks my heart even having WhatsApp on my phone tbh, but I have a couple of family members that won't use anything else 🙄

Meganium March 23rd, 2021 6:50 PM

I'd love to not have Facebook, but I kinda need it for my current job. All the good drama is on there and stuff.

For my personal life, I usually stick with Instagram. Easy to manage, for me at least.

for the longest time i've never understood the need for instagram. it's just photos right? doesn't every other social media site already offer that?

pkmin3033 March 23rd, 2021 11:05 PM

Social media is the worst legal thing to come out of the creation of the internet tbh.

Sami March 24th, 2021 3:51 AM

I can be a massive troll sometimes :(

Sothis March 24th, 2021 3:55 AM

I've heard of some sending links to phish, so be careful!

Sami March 24th, 2021 3:59 AM

Im aware what they try to do, I just troll around with them

"ravioli ravioli, send me the virusoni"

a shame i have most convos deleted, I remember one time sending an image of a toilet to them

Megan March 24th, 2021 5:13 AM

Anyone interested in what German efficiency looks like?
Monday:
- let's make lockdown go on for another month
- also let's finally do all the things we talked about at the beginning of the month
- also let's make thursday before Easter as well as that saturday a one time only holyday and close down _everything_

Tuesday:
- wait, can we even do that? Is that even legal?
- someone think of the economy!

Wednesday:
- actually, we can't do this, sorry!
- let's talk about it next time!

Now imagine this, but througout the entire pandemic... <_<
(btw. we're still <10% of the vaccination process (we still don't have enough of the stuff), we also don't have a good way to test but apparently schools _really_ need to be open and employers _really_ need to have the choice not to force people into home office)

Guess I'm going for 16,666! Which the old me could have reached by the end of the week easily by flooding Poketrivia. The current me, unfortunately, is an anxious wreck and struggles to do social things moreso than usual, and will probably take several months to reach this new goal =x
