That's part of the fun of it! I haven't gone for guild card achievements really, but I've been trying to do every singleplayer quest in MHGU like I did in 4U and it's been fun. I'm super interested in Rise because it seems to be similar to World from what I'm hearing, which I never played.
|
This is true, although there are some things - crown faming, the arena quests, and certain G4 deviant hunts...and the very existence of Rajang - that are about as far away from fun as it gets I think. xD
World still has a super active player base, so there's still time if you were ever interested :o I'm more interested in Stories 2 than Rise, but I expect I'll put more time into Rise than I have into anything on my Switch...except maybe MHGU and Hyrule Warriors. Maybe. |
Good morning OTlings
|
Afternoon~
It do be quiet here today :o |
I never knew Hot-Dog's were so unhealthy.
https://foodrevolution.org/blog/are-hot-dogs-healthy/ How unfortunate. |
Once rise comes out people may not hear from me for a bit 😂. But looking forward to playing it tbh.
Oh and afternoon all! Hope everyone's doing OK x |

I'm not on a diet nor use that word ( I strongly dislike it for a lot of reasons) I just say healthy eating is what I'm doing. I cook more now than when I was a teenager and my mother and YouTube taught me to cook better, I'm proud to say. I'm also happier and have fun when I cook my food since I know what all ingredients I put in them to make it healthy and taste good. Some advice for everyone on PC ( you can choose to take the advice or not your choice and life after all ) always read labels if you can on all foods even drinks you buy from the store. True, its boring to do so but it can be extremely helpful to you if you want to stay healthy and fit. Eating sweet goods or something maybe not so healthy every once in a while won't hurt you nor make you bad person for doing so. Just try to not eat so much of it or all the time, since its really not good for your body. Always eat in moderation, portion sizes lastly take your time chewing and drinking. Mindful eating is good to try basically just taking your time to chew everything so it diegets well in your stomach. Also I think mindfull eating helps for binge eating if you try your best to slow down what your eating. I have a binge eating disorder Im not ashamed nor afraid to admit and it's helped me. Just by eating healthy foods more and not drinking soda, coffee, juice or engery drinks anymore as well. I lost about 145+ lbs and still working on loseing weight and finding a perfect healthy weight to be at. I noticed when giving all those types of drinks up it helped my engery levels be higher so I was more active and alert, it improved my mood a lot even when I have bipolar and lastly lost weight due to the sugar, sodium and other things in those drinks causeining it to make me gain weight from drinking them. Always remember this is just advice you can take and and use or not. It's all your choice since its your life after all. I'm just sharing what I learned over time and has helped me be more healthy. |
I would like to gain more, but I have a brutal metabolism and it hasn't slowed down. (I'm also physically active and bike and swim frequently, so that could be part of it).
Unfortunately, it's socially acceptable to make fun of people for being slim. To deal with it, I usually put on heavier jackets. |

I want to ride a bike again sometime soon, though thier also pricey as well to buy now a days. I can't swim well so I don't do swimming, plus no where to go to do an active as that right now and learn to swim better too. I walk a mile or more everyday in the mornings and do a workout routine Monday, Wednesday and Friday from YouTube videos workouts I found on there. I'd never make fun of you if I saw you becuase your looks and body wise. I don't think I ever got picked on from being a bit plus size all my life. It was more my ethentic background people judged and called me bad things racist wise. I think I look beautiful now with a shaved head look, since all my family and others have said it suits me well. I guess it depends on the person if they think I look nice, cute or pretty I suppose. However I never got called many nice things most my life on my appearance before. So I guess I'm decent looking, for guys liking how I look not sure if they truly meant it I'm just cute looking to guys nothing more. |

Biking is a joy for me and I'm glad your finding enjoyment through taking walks. I enjoy biking for the fact that I like going fast on it and letting the breeze hit me. In a similar way, I find swimming euphoric. If you ever get the chance, it's something fantastic and worth taking up. |
I see another reason why I don't like society something new to judge. Well as I stated I would never judge you like I said and if I was there and someone was dissing you I'd stand up for you. I do my own thing and don't do what society says is normal or cool to fit in and be accepted anymore. Maybe why I'm alone, oh well rather do my own thing anyway.

As a fat person, I know skinny people generally have it much easier. Fat people are more likely to be ignored or mistreated by doctors because we're fat. Being fat is seen as shameful and if we have any health condition we are blamed for it.
Not to mention the general unavailability of plus size clothes. The plus section at my local Walmart is either Disney shit or grandma clothes. Am I saying skinny people don't get shamed? Of course not. There was a case of a youtuber being harassed and suspended because they thought she was promoting unhealthy habits when she was just a fashion yter. It could be anything, like a health condition. That's my opinion, at least. I wish people wouldn't shove the issues and and discussions about fat shaming under the bus. |

It should never turn into a comparison of problems. It's like saying "if this problem is worse, it makes the other invalid". Culturally, this is exactly what's happening. Fat shaming has definitely become a prominent topic over recent years. The topic is being featured on TV networks, pop culture with music, even in popular online communities such as reddit, taking out forums which have featured fat shaming. So people automatically turn to the other side of the spectrum and target those who are underweight. As a recent highschool graduate, it was a bullying problem. People were perfectly comfortable with throwing out the word "anorexic" as an insult, and there were simply no repercussions. My point was not to compare who has the worse problems, only that it's becoming socially acceptable to shame those who are underweight. And it probably stems from the mindset of "we can bully people who are underweight, because it's a less sensitive topic". |
EDIT: I find the first sentence you said rather offensive. I didn't say that skinny people have it absolutely easy, I was trying to state that fat people face many issues & that we've faced them for a long time. Regardless of the body posi movement, we are still "hated" so to speak. There's even apps, like tiktok, that filter out posts by people who "look fat" as well as poor & disabled.
A few movements doesn't automatically erase fatphobia, and it's something that I've dealt with a lot so I understand your situation and I respect your opinion |

It should never be a comparison of who has it easier. You did state that skinny people can have it rough too, however that was after initially drawing comparisons between who has it easier and who doesn't. It's not a competition. You can state the issues of one side without mentioning the other. |
One thing that I constantly get reminded of is that if you live in a bubble that doesn't have certain groups of people then you're more likely to say something rude and hurtful about them, even if you actually know that you shouldn't.
Society is a very complicated thing... |
Prejudices are passed down through generations. If you consistently hear your parents/grandparents saying bad things about gay people, for example, you'll learn it too.
It's these old fashioned discriminatory beliefs that cause harm, and even cause bullying. |
Yeah, I very much remember when I was a kid and "gay" was used as an insult. Kids may not always know what they're saying but they only say things they have picked up somewhere. And when you ask them what those words mean, they don't have a clue. xD
|
Yeah, it's really sad. The same could be said about r-slur, which was used quite a lot when I was a kid.
I believe society as a whole needs to change and honestly, people need to mind their own business at times. Someone else's weight or appearance is no ones business but the person's. |
On the phone to my Mum and for some reason my gecko decided to chomp my finger. Needless to say I swore pretty loudly and then had to apologise to my Mum XD. But good god Rango what was that for!?
