Eon Kits

*copy and paste from Serebii*

I know, i'm the last person to be making KAWAII COOT eons. But I had these ideas in my head and they had to come out for I would suffer a minor brain explosion.
Anyway, I was thinking, if Eevee goes through all this trouble evolving to adapt to any environment/situation, why would the eons birth Eevee? They should have their own species. I especially imagine it to be difficult for a Vaporeon to raise Eevee offspring. So here's my interpretation on eon young'ns.

Not much to say on the Vaporeon. It can quickly flip out its ears and neck fins to frighten its foes. It doesn't have the ability to disappear into a haze like its parents can, though.

A baby Jolteon is more liely to use its static quills for defense than offense. At this point in its life, it's not skilled at using electricity, so it has to use its speed and spikes to evade predators.

Like Jolteon, Flareon babies are unskilled in using fire. When threatened, it uses its tail to mimic a flame, frightening a foe. Hey, when you're bit-sized, being cute doesn't make you dodge the bullet.

Like Vulpix, a young Espeon has a normal tail that will split later in life. Its Psychic powers are limited, but the ruby on its head can flash to distract predators so the Espeon can quickly dart away from danger.

Finally, Umbreon. Its body is covered in faded bluish-grey rings. Having bright, glowing patches on its fur would be like wearing an "Eat Me!" sign. So the patterns aids in camuflouge. As it ages, the spots fade leaving only the large ones on the forehead, ears, tail, and legs.

If you notice a pattern, they all have blue eyes like many young mammals. They also all have ways to defend themselves from predators. In the Pokemon world, there's always the risk on one's parents being captured, so young Pokemon have to be able to protect themselves at an early age.

Interesting interpretations--rather creative, as well. The art, itself, was done very nicely, though I find much of the "charm" of the images to be in the characteristics you gave to the young Pokemon.

Thoughs are very nice and realy cute. I see you put info with the pic. You give info with the pic. Very thought out and well done.
Also i can see your point about why would their childern be Eevee instead of their evolution.
Though thats thinking in our world rules. Pokemon could be very diff. Be intresting to see the inviroment for the Pokemon world. Though for game play it would br to easy just to give the full evolution.
Though i like ot think on pokemon more like a world than just a show or game. lol sounds odd i guess.

Heee, they're all very cute. :3 The Vaporeon there looks slick and shiny. Me likes. ^^ I say my favorite one there would happen to be the baby Jolteon. I really luff how you color. *0* Keep up the good work! ^^

I can't help but start off by saying that those are absolutely adorable. ^_^ I like how they don't look exactly like their parents (makes them seem more like actual babies than just "chibi" versions of their species), and the little blurbs of info provided with each picture are interesting as well.

My own favorites would be the jolteon and umbreon ones - because jolteon's my favorite, and the umbreon kit has those neat spots on it. :P

The shading on these are incredible. Especially on the Vaporeon, but it's tail looks a little odd.

Sweet....these rule. They seem so realistic and true...you have a creative eye for things like this.

I love the baby Jolteon! It's so cute! And the baby Umbreon's pose is really cute, too.

As far as the baby things go, a Vaporeon could easily just make a nest on land, but yeah... It would be odd if it were to be raising it and stuff, too.

I can see you have really, really detailed information on each of them, and I can see that thought them through a lot of times.

I admire all the details on all of them.

Forest Grovyle July 26th, 2005 3:29 AM

Wow, this is a great idea, Iveechan! I really like all of them - you've clearly thought a lot about how they would look if they were babies! :D I like the Jolteon the most - the tiny spikes on its back really make it look as if it is a very young version of the species. Great work! :D
