Champion battle doesn't start (firered)

As the title sais, after beating Lance i walk in the final room and the Champion battle doesn't start
i have to walk myself and if i try to talk with the champion it doesn't start

it's a rom hack i am creating but i did not touch anything in the elite4 beside using advance trainer to change the mons
i didn't chance anything in the map itself or about scripts (cause i don't know anything about scripting)

i ONLY changed the mons and they all worked untill now, i played litterally the all game and only the final fight doesn't start

as i remember correctly the game should make the character walk and start the battle without any input so i can guess there is an issue with the script as soon as you enter the room

even if i can't change that is there a way even just to make the battle start when you talk with the rival? Any way to fix this is fine, i just want to be able to start the fight and finish the game xD

i tried to open the champion in XSE to just see if there was anything different from a normal game, as i said i know nothing about scripting but if i see something different i just copy/paste the basic one (i did this in other circumstances in the game like marts bugging out and it fixed those issues) but there is no way to open script using advance map

help?

edit:
i tried to modify this by just adding a new trainer with the champions mons and moving the old rival away (not deleted, just out of map)
if i try to walk to the final chamber BEFORE fighting him it starts the finale, if i try to walk AFTER fighting him it just shows a black screen

You might have repointed trainer roster offsets into the 0x380000s and 0x400000s range. Something similar to that happened to me when I tried to hack FireRed.

it was on the 0x25 something but i repointed it (actually all 3 versions since the rival has 3 different versions in the base game) again to try out, and it still doesn't work
