Dream Journal

I'm sure I'm not the only person here that remembers their dreams for a little while after waking up. I used to keep a real dream journal, but due to not keeping up with it consistently, I decided to just start telling other people about my dreams. You can talk about a dream you've just had or a dream you remember from another time, whatever you like! I don't know any interpretation stuff, but if anyone does I'd love to hear some thoughts, personally. (I write out my dreams in a really funky, run on sentence way because that's how they feel when I'm remembering them. I dream vividly and sometimes have weird nightmares, but I will likely only share unusual dreams here with all of you, nothing traumatic to me.)

Just tonight, I had two dreams:

I dreamed about being at my parents house and a dragon was looking for me, she wanted to eat me but I was able to convince her to be my friend instead and I taught her to drive and harassed out a nasty lady that was giving her trouble when she was trying to order food at Subway.

I also dreamed that I was hearing a story about a bitter old man that chased a child across several neighborhoods with a weapon and he only stopped chasing when he broke both of his knees clambering over a pile of detritus.

ooh i think we have a club for this over at the Clubhouse too!

i try to keep a dream journal, but by the time i've woken up 100% and opened up my PC, everything's all but forgotten :c i feel like i should start logging them in real notebooks...

Most of my dreams are the same.

I constantly dream I'm at an amusement park, and I dreamed it again last night. Usually it's a peaceful dream and I'm sad to wake up from it.

I have a journal where I write my dreams. The dreams that I remember I write them down and the dreams I don't remember much I don't write them.

That sounds really nice. Mine vary greatly in feel, and I'm barely capable of lucid dreaming because I like to see where the dreams are going so much. I do tend to see similar locations over and over, like a big mall, a shopping plaza, a pet store, schools and homes, they're all pretty consistent at this point in design. They change a little because they're dreams, but the layouts are usually still pretty recognizable!

I'd love to lucid dream, but it's something I've never properly stuck with.

It's interesting to note that almost all of my dreams take place at night. I'm so accustomed to it, that when I get a dream taking place during the day it leaves me feeling peculiar.

my dreams are crazy.. and well, i'm sure everyone feels that way about their dreams but.. my dreams are detailed, constant, reoccurring, chaotic, vibrant, and very real feeling.

i've had to learn how to wake myself up when i see certain things, like my mom. there's a period there where i become aware that i'm dreaming but usually the 'signs' are traumatic so my brain instantly goes into freaking out. i regularly become aware that i'm dreaming but i'm not able to really manipulate anything - i can, however, retain memory of almost everything that happens and view it almost as a narrator.

i often have dreams about getting high and i fucking feel it and it's so amazing and terrible and i wake up feeling so hollow and ugh..

Oh gods I have trauma dreams all the time about retail and living with my parents and other terrible things that have happened to me, and while they're happening they feel mundane and normal because that used to be my normal, it scares me so terribly. This is why I started going back to therapy recently (I only stopped because my previous therapist left her practice), and so far it's at least comforting to tell a professional about it again. I have actual diagnosed PTSD that I gotta get through, but the dreams were scaring me so bad I was afraid I'd get a new retail job and then immediately have a big panic attack over anything resembling stress..

A lot of my dreams involve people I'm no longer friends with.
So I know that, in my mind, I miss them. But it is what it is.

As for nightmares, I had them as a kid. One even triggered coulrophobia for about a year, but my friends kinda helped me.

I started to make a dream journal on May 18th 2018 till I stopped in 2020 writing in my journals because of certain things happening in my personal life at the end of 2019 that effected my mental health very extremely. I want to start up again my dream journals, however I also recorded what sorts of sysmbolim I had in my dreams as well doing Dream Work. In order to help me understand why I dreamt such a dream, whats going on in real life to me anything I need to do or fix as well becuase of the sysmbolim in my dreams. Also figuring out my feelings and emotions as well.

I found doing Dream Work when writing in my journals helpful since I have Chronic Nightmares from my C-PTSD. I re live my past in my dreams about people who hurt me in bad to traumatic ways mainly. Or involving people in social situations such as school, work or just out and about in society in my dreams. I do get monster related dreams too occasionally that can effect me badly just as bad. However the start of 2021 my dreams been improving not bothering effecting me during the day my mood and nothing so scary anymore that I'm not terrified to sleep anymore. Note: I've been talking to a therapist as well that's been helpful to me and why I dream a bit better now as well.

I still do my Dream Work even if I don't write anything down I rememberd what it was about and looked up the sysmbolim online. I plan to write and record my dreams once again soon perhaps starting end of this month or start of April.

I USED to keep a log, but I lost it after my recent move. But I do remember the dreams I have, including lucid dreams...you know...those dreams that make you "dream within a dream" which is so trippy.

I do tend to look up the symbols from my dreams online, such as Dream Moods or some other site.

my dreams are WILD and i'd honestly love to have a recording of them somewhere, but the issue is that i tend to forget the beginning and only remember bits and pieces of the middle and end events. @[email protected] my memory regarding my dreams are aawwwfullll and it sucks because it'd be interesting to go through a journal of them knowing how crazy 98% of them are.

My dreams were always super vivid and bizarre growing up. It turned out that I had been having extremely poor sleep quality my entire life and I was constantly sleep deprived no matter how much I slept. I could fall asleep at 6pm sometimes because I physically couldn't keep my eyes open out of tiredness. That poor sleep led to some very bizarre and scary dreams!

One phenomenon that has horrified everyone I've mentioned it to is the fact that I have reached the point of lucid dreaming where you are aware of the fact you're in a dream. I have never tried to actively lucid dream but for some reason my brain was almost always able to deduce it was a dream. However instead of the fun part where you can go do whatever you want - my brain would always have a breakdown and be like ???? and the dream would start collapsing in on itself. No matter how happy the dream was before it would turn into a horror movie nightmare. There would be distortions of reality, distorted voices and horrifying faces jumping out at me as my brain tried to wake me up and in the in between of waking up I would feel stuck and experience sleep paralysis whilst all those hallucinations were going on. It was very terrifying at the time but it happened so often I got used to it. From the time I was about 16 I would have constant nightmares almost every day, no idea how I made it through HS! I would also be able to dream very quickly and had multiple dreams in a night of similar bizarreness. But luckily these days I have recently had a surgery to clear up my blocked nose which was making it hard to breathe and sleep properly and I can 1) stay awake till a normal time for once instead of falling asleep at 6pm and waking up at 2am and 2) no more terrifying dreams like that as of yet. Exciting. :D

Edit: Just remembered I have even written about some of my dreams on PC hah, I found one that I posted when I was 11 about some strange nightmare I had! No bizarre hallucinations or anything but even my dreams back then were very... imaginative. I just remembered this it's so strange looking back on it now: https://www.pokecommunity.com/blog.php?b=15175

i had a dream about a sci fi channel movie marathon from 1999. all i remember was an insect shuttle (like this one from lexx) passing through a defence shield around a planet.
