I agree with one thing. sorry act but the mets are a horrible road team, the mets dont deserve to be in new york, of course our matsui is way better, compering reyes to jeter, please, and danny graves in ok, we should release embree if we want a guy that gives alot runs we should get a minor
|
That wasn't rude o.o;;
Anyway, the Mets' home record is about 35-15 (last I checked), which isn't at all bad, though they are a poor road team. They have a lot of young guys who have tons of potential, but not quite enough experience (Reyes in point, along with my guy David Wright). My loveable losers, they are. Let's also not forget that one good 4- or 5-game winning streak will get them right in the middle of the NL wildcard races. The classic secondary NY team; they belong there right next to the Rangers and Giants for sure. As for Reyes not camparing to Jeter... hah. Jeter should be flattered. Notwithstanding that Reyes is ten years younger than him (and therefore has less experience) and Jeter is in his prime age, at 31, let's compare stats: Jeter: .303 AVG, 14 HR, 49 RBI, 11 SB Reyes: .273, 3 HR* , 43 RBI** , 42 SB*** *(Reyes isn't a power hitter, so this doesn't matter much. His job is to get on base) **(just about equal) ***(Hah. And again, hah.) Let's not forget that Reyes recently came off a 20-game hitting streak, the current record for the NL. I'm pretty sure DJ is cleanup while Reyes is leadoff, so their jobs are quite different. But when you're 22 and getting compared to a 31-year-old veterean, I'd say that's pretty good-- especially when it's an acurate comparison. And then there's the fact that all of Wright's stats, save average, are higher than Jeter's (the averages are equal), and that Wright is a 22-year-old future-cleanup. Look at the stats next time ;) |
Ok, lets ask non new yorker, people who was and is better reyes and jeter, + arod is clean up,
and....... Yankees are the best new york team |
Where does Jeter bat? It can't be further back than fifth... ::shrug::

I don't think Reyes and Jeter can really be acurately compared on the grounds of better/worse because what they do for the batting order is so different. ::shrug:: |
Jeter is better than Reyes right now. Not only is Jeter a great player, but he is a great leader. I think that Reyes will be as good if not better than Jeter if he continues to improve.
|
Yes, indeed sorry act for the argument, so what are your favorite ballparks?
o and jeter is captain and leadoff hiter :) |
Safeco Field is beautiful, so it's my favorite park. I also like the Giants' ballpark.

Ballparks...? I think it was Minute Maid I like; I'm honestly not sure though. |
to be honest really like sareco field but not better than yankee staduim, or equal
|
Yankee Stadium is historical, but really ugly and old.
|
::nod:: Same with Shea xD. Isn't somewhat funny to think that Shea was state-of-the-art when it was built?

|
hey act good to see you back posting in my club and yes they are going to get a new stadium
|
Ok can I join this club?
Who do you want to win the AL and NL Wild Cards? Me being a huge Twins fan would say the White Sox will win the Wild Card and the Twins will win the ALC...hey I can dream and plus the Twins just swept the White Sox but the NL Wild Card is to close to call...and plus I really don't care (we all know its easier to win in the NL) |
yeah you can join, but twins will be in 3rd on the al wild card cause.................
Autheletics will be first, red sox will be 2nd and your team willl be in 3rd :) |
I think Boston will win the AL East and I think Oakland will win the AL Wild Card.
|
-_-' Am I like the only NL fan?
I think Philly might end up winning... people have finally seemed to catch on to the fact that Washington isn't a good team. |
Washington, had their time now its time for the braves to shine
|
I hope Washington comes backs and wins it. I also wouldn't mind if the Mets, Astros, Phillies, or Marlins won it.
|
Yes, yankees just toke game one in chicago be prepare for the sweep

The Mets just won game one againsts Washinton, but the liklihood of a sweep is very low xD
Pedro pitches tonight, though ^^; |
I remember when Pedro was still in the AL. He used to always dominate the Mariners.
