My boss thought it would be a good idea to give me a bike to get to work. Nice idea in theory (he also didn't need to pay for it and doesn't pay for my commuting, anymore). Thing is: I just prove that you can indeed forget how to drive a bike. So after a couple tries I gave up and took the walk of shame back home. ^^"

I mean smileys are essential to discussions on the internet. But you do indeed way more work than you give yourself credit for!

Nice to see discussion is back in this game! 100% agreed that smileys are essential haha, that and exclamation marks for me--I feel too serious if I don't use them! 😅

I watched the movie Lilo and Stitch and didn't enjoy it. I probably would have liked it more if I had nostalgic attachment.

Stitch was cute though

I'm not sure I watched the movie, I mainly remember it as a TV series as Ash mentioned.
Used to watch it when I was younger ^.^

I'm such a horrible person Megan. I keep imagining you wobbling all over the place like in a comedy movie, then crashing into bins or something...

Thanks for the heart and for the... "i owe you"? Really? :3c

As for the bike... it's ok, it's fine, you'll get back to riding it just alright with some practice, I'm sure <3 I'm definitely biased because I biked to school for my high school final exams, and that was... uh... a bit shy of 4 miles?

Are you trying toscare me with stage two? Because I tell you: when I was a kid crashing into stuff was absolutely no problem at all! D:
Yesterday I didn't even get that far. ^^"

Last time I used a bike, like, 15 years ago. I still remember that day pretty well. It was pretty hot, I was cycling down a hill and had some decent speed. Then I wanted to take a curve but underestimated everything and promptly found myself lying on the (empty) street. Everything hurt, a bus driver drove past me only taking a look and not doing anything else. I waited until the hurting was gone and just biked some more around. Then I went back home and a couple days later I got really sick. xD

Though, the cause of that sickness probably came from the school trip to Italy we had just a couple days before.

Your country exists, that's what it did! D:

In retrospect it was actually pretty good. We saw a ton of different places, the tower of Pisa, we had a tour through Rome, we went to a bunch of ruins, etc. We also stayed at a four star hotel (the three star one we were supposed to be had not enough rooms) that was pretty good and was situated at a cliff with a bunch of stairs (about 1000 steps I believe) leading down to the beach. Getting down there was already an experience but getting back up an ordeal that literally brought me down to my knees. xD
Ironically, the alternative way was using the public bus which I've heard quite the horror stories by those who picked it instead.

It's just a shame that I couldn't really appreciate much what I saw. When I talk about how much of an awkward person stuck in my own head I am, that was actually a lot worse back then. So I didn't really pay much attention. I didn't take pictures and didn't buy souvenirs which made people really made back at home. ^^"

I also get stressed way too easily when it comes to travel or anything out of my comfort zone. <_<

That wouldn't surprise me. I once went to a doctor who said something like that and I was allowed to not get grades for Sports at school for like a year. But when I went back another time they couldn't find anything, anymore?

I hadn't travelled out of mine at all until I was about 20 then not again for a good while after that too.

Don't forget to really explore your local area too though, it's amazing what we overlook becase it's right under our noses!

I don't think it's something that comes and goes like that 😅
I feel like one of those 2 doctors must've messed up xD

Could consider retesting it, but I imagine there's little point to that by now.

Glad I took the day off. I'm very much freezing right now. <_<

I have to say, though: so far the side effects don't seem too bad; at least for me. I know of some people who literally had no problems whatsoever. Others seemed to have huge problems, though.

How you people been doing?

Is this from the vaccine? Hopefully you get away with as little side effects as possible! :)

I'm good ty! Pretty sore and tired the last week though, it feels like I haven't had a rest or any sleep. Just one of those things I guess!

How about you, apart from the chills?

And Hola everyone! How are you lovely peeps?

In a bit of a tired cycle I guess. Long workdays in general for a solid month now, and next week is easing up a bit, but not much lol
Oh well... nothing problematic. Just have less free time than I'd like xD

At least today went without freezing and only a very minor headache. I'll see how the next couple days go.

But tbh. this entire week wasn't particularly good. I basically spend two hours a day just walking to and from work which kinda destroyed my feet. The weather also didn't help, being unable to decide if it wanted to be sunny, rainy, warm, cold or windy. On Friday I also didn't sleep particularly well. This all might have had its contribution on the whole matter. But of course, you could argue a lot of these things are kinda my fault. ^^"

Honestly, I know that you spend many nights awake but I'm never sure if you're doing that because you want to or because you have sleeping problems. I do hope you'll get some proper rest and regain your energy!

Blimey that's a lot of walking to work Megan, you must be absolutely shattered ;(

I take it that's why you got the bike? You should definitely give it another try, it seems like it would really help :)

I really hope the headache is the last of your side effects <3

Erm... neither of these things are really secrets, especially if you read the clubhouse section, but I tend not to write them in posts like this. Spoilers for those that want to avoid it.

Spoiler:
I have struggled with sleep for a very long time. I've had night terrors for years from PTSD due to past abuse and torture. A lot of the time I'm simply terrified of going to sleep because I know what is waiting for me. Dream intervention helps to a certain extent, but they always seem to find a way back in ;(

Sleep has become a lot worse lately though due to my neurological problems. I have a malformation of the brain, along with something else that is affecting my speech, but they haven't quite pinpointed that yet, despite seemingly never ending brain scans. I simply can't stay asleep due to pain at the moment - I have averaged less than 3 hours for what seems like forever. I have a special pillow that has helped a little, but still the pain is just crazily intense. I'm just so worn out and exhausted every single day at the moment 😔

Hi everyone, I need to jump back into the convo (oof) but... I'm fine, I guess! Apparently I just need some time to recover from that roadtrip and that liability of an exam (which I passed ofc) and get back to the usual stuff <3
