I've not really made any purchases that really count. So I don't know how to answer it. Maybe electricity and internet access in my apartment? Because without it I wouldn't have access to any of them? Or maybe food? Because I wouldn't be here today if I didn't buy food?

What's your favorite game on the Switch (or if you don't have one: on your favorite gaming device)?

ZeoStar June 1st, 2022 5:48 AM

Xenoblade Definitive Edition. I don't normally play JRPG's more than once anymore, especially lengthy ones. However I liked this one enough to do so.

What's your all time favorite gaming console?

ReKoil June 1st, 2022 10:18 AM

I don't dislike the Switch, but the 3DS just has a certain charm to it. Probably my favorite Nintendo handheld/console so far.
I don't really buy all that many different consoles tbh. Most of the ones I've had are from Nintendo.

Are there any foods you like better combined than separate?
Like for example peanut-butter and jelly.

StCooler June 1st, 2022 3:42 PM

Any food with its sauce, I guess? Well that's not true, I generally don't like sauces XD
Chili pepper with anything I guess?
Onion with anything?

Does free will exist?

Megan June 1st, 2022 8:41 PM

Asking the important questions? xD
I recently watched a video about it and apparently even philosophers can't really decide on if it exists or not. I think it ended in a sort of way to say: you have to decide for yourself.
I think you do have the option to decide in certain cases giving you free will in that regard. But I'm also aware that the world is way too complicated to assume that everything I do is done on my own accord. I've seen too many times, in my own behavior in particular, that not everything was done fully consciously on my own free will. And I see every day that so many machinations are thrust upon us to make us "want" things that we don't really want (the whole advertising industry for example).
It's very easy these days for people to be like "just don't do it and if you do it it's all your fault". Our culture these days is so obsessed with the idea that everything is based on free will that most don't even question that. The people who fall out of these sorts of things usually being people with mental illnesses and other "not normal" people.
In short: partially yes, but partially no.

Are you looking forward to the new Pokemon games?

_confused_piplup_ June 2nd, 2022 12:06 AM

Hmm, I am mixed on that. I love the Legendaries, but there are many things that don't really convince me. Firstly, the game style which imo looks too cartoonish and makes a child even more a child lol and that kinda disturbs me because there's even less impersonation, if that makes sense. I might like the region, but I am not 100% convinced. I didn't really like some of the new pokemon, but I liked the new Professors. The rival looks really anonymous tbh. She'll probably be the kind of rival we had from gen 6 (with the exception of Bede and Marnie). However, I am very curious about the plot and the new mechanic. I also like the new features: being a true open world and co-op game. A note to the open world is that it might take exploration to the next level. I am quoting the official website: "You can experience a new style of adventure, with a world that you’re free to explore at your leisure and not in an order dictated by the story."
Not in an order dictated by the story sounds really cool, but also pretty sus. I don't truly know what they mean, but that's definitely something. Therefore, overall those games definitely got my attention, but I want to see more to be fully convinced.

Do you have any particular nickname?

ReKoil June 2nd, 2022 10:47 AM

My account name here is usually my nickname in games.
I don't have one irl

What's most important to you in life?

Megan June 2nd, 2022 8:38 PM

Idk, I guess not having a fun life at least makes me work a little harder in regard to making things easier for other people who may suffer as well? Just because you may not find meaning in life doesn't mean that you can try and support others so that at least they can find some meaning in their existence.

What's the next big thing you want to buy/get?

NearAutomas June 2nd, 2022 10:41 PM

A Raspberry pi sounds kinda dumb in retrospect but it's all I've ever wanted as a kid, why did it take too long to get one? I forgot. But now that I've evolved into a lightly bigger kid it seems that old Christmas wish list won't be living in vain anymore.

What's a stupid memory that you remember?

StCooler June 3rd, 2022 3:16 AM

My first date ever lol, that was so terrible XD

Do you find it easier to invent new Pokémons or new Pokémon forms?

ReKoil June 3rd, 2022 9:07 AM

Probably forms, you already have a base to work with after all.

What was the very first videogame you remember playing?

_confused_piplup_ June 3rd, 2022 9:59 AM

Nice question! It was Dolphin Island for DS. I know you're probably not interested in stories lol, but I will anyway talk to you about this. I always loved animals and especially the ones who live in the Ocean (oh wow, unexpected from someone who loves water type pokemon lol) and I wanted to become a veterinarian. So, my parents got me a DS with Dolphin Island when I was 7/8. The crazy thing about this game is that it's kinda hard lol and I left it incomplete until few months ago. Here on PC I found a section talking about the first game played and I had memory of Dolphin Island. I left it uncompleted for years and I re-picked it up only few moths ago and despite some difficulty and some unclear things about the gameplay lol, I managed to complete it. It was really cool and I also came to know there's some sort of sequel lol.

Is there a game you never finished or that you stopped to play because it was too difficult?

ZeoStar June 3rd, 2022 10:59 AM

I'm not very good at open world games. I haven't finished Skyrim or Fallout: New Vegas. Not sure if I would contribute this to dying way too much, or being lengthy and burning myself out.

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your mood in terms of feeling relaxed?

StCooler June 3rd, 2022 4:23 PM

Currently 8, no stress at all but I still have things going on in my mind ^^"

Have you ever wanted to have an unusual pet? (a lizard, a rat, a spider, or whatever)

Megan June 3rd, 2022 11:04 PM

No, I never had any sort of interest in these things. But I never really wanted much of anything, anyway. ^^"
But even now I'm probably more into the usual stuff. Like, cats seem nice.

Did you move a lot during childhood?

ReKoil June 4th, 2022 11:12 AM

Just once, when I was like 6 or 7.

Do you like it where you live?

ZeoStar June 4th, 2022 5:10 PM

I think the best word to describe it is "familiar".

Do you consider yourself to have good reflexes?

StCooler June 4th, 2022 5:53 PM

My overall performance in videogames leads me to the conclusion that my reflexes are really bad.

Do you know any songs that last less than 1 minute?

ReKoil June 5th, 2022 9:31 AM

not off the top off my head, but possibly xD
(probably not though)

Do you have any songs stuck in your head atm?

Fact Checking Gardevoir June 5th, 2022 10:51 AM

Yes. Django Unchained's ending theme.
"I know you'll be changing your mind / When you see him use a gun..."
Partly because I hazaphardly discovered this morning that someone made a mod for Doom called "Gardevoir has a gun".

Do you have a memory of a moment in an online game you especially treasure ? (performing a feat, feeling invincible, an epic fail, ... ?)

ZeoStar June 5th, 2022 2:17 PM

Yes. Hitting 1,000 ELO on Chess.com. Especially when I began at the absolute bottom at 300. I didn't think I would ever improve, but it happened naturally.

Do you buy more games physically or digitally?

StCooler June 5th, 2022 3:48 PM

Digitally. But I don't buy games anymore, as I'm mostly playing to LoL currently :/

Have you ever had a game-breaking bug in a videogame?

Megan June 5th, 2022 8:27 PM

I had my save file be corrupted in Pokemon Blue, if that counts? And that was the first ever playthrough I had an actual team, too...no bugs I'm aware, though.

What's the first game you ever played?

Fact Checking Gardevoir June 6th, 2022 5:41 AM

War Wind... a great sci-fi/fantasy RTS game who sadly came right after Warcraft 2 and went unnoticed.
Now, close your eyes and imagine you are on another world...

What is your favourite movie ?

ReKoil June 6th, 2022 11:42 AM

I've always really liked the first three Resident Evil movies.
Also the Green Mile. These came to mind first so probably one of those =p

Do you still keep in touch with people you went to school with?
