I have to ask an admin if they can show that to everyone who posts here. Except me, of course! :D

😁

Just this once, I won most of my games today on LoL. None of them were satisfying though, the matchmaking algorithm just decided I deserved to win today so I got 4 great teammates all the time.
It's sad that I get annoyed when I lose too much and I don't like winning games I had no impact on :(

At least winning this thread is very satisfying!

Alex_Among_Foxes February 4th, 2023 11:57 PM

I know absolutely nothing about LoL, but congrats anyway!

Megan February 5th, 2023 1:21 AM

I never really was much into MOBAs. But I'm also not a competitive person. I always end up backing down immediately when I'm thrown in a competitive situation. ^^"

ReKoil February 5th, 2023 8:04 AM

I've never played LoL, but they shoved me into another Dota ripoff anyway D=

StCooler February 5th, 2023 5:11 PM

Oh I had forgotten about this game! Does it have an esport? Is it still popular?

Megan February 5th, 2023 8:57 PM

I think it's more like a blatant cash grab? I've never played it, though.

ReKoil February 6th, 2023 1:08 AM

I've never played it so idk if it's popular at all =P

Alex_Among_Foxes February 6th, 2023 6:36 AM

A friend of mine plays it sometimes, was never really my thing though.

Sweet Serenity February 6th, 2023 1:02 PM

I enjoy it very much

StCooler February 6th, 2023 5:21 PM

I enjoy this win very much :3
I don't know what crossed their minds. Why release a Pokémon MOBA?

Megan February 6th, 2023 9:08 PM

It's just business, I guess. Nintendo has done a lot of thing they didn't while Iwata was still alive. Like, actively supporting DLC and mobile games. At the same time they also stopped doing other things. Like, I still remember that they sent me a free code for Super Mario Bros Deluxe for the 3DS on a Birthday of mine when he was still around.

Sweet Serenity February 6th, 2023 10:19 PM

This is random, but here is one thing I find amazing about this site: while looking through some of my old threads I started, such as those from last year, I noticed text that I typed at the bottom of the page so long ago but never submitted is still there.

ReKoil February 7th, 2023 12:20 AM

The magic of cookies... I guess? 🤔

I sometimes type out posts in this section when I can't post yet just so I can have it ready and press post the next day.
Pity it doesn't work across devices.

Alex_Among_Foxes February 7th, 2023 3:40 AM

Wait, what do you mean by can't post yet? Is it just the fact that people haven't posted anything new yet, or are post limits actually a thing?

Megan February 7th, 2023 9:25 PM

People usually have to ask for approval before posting. If they don't apply they run the risk of getting banned. And no: I didn't make that rule. But I definitely respect the one who did. :3

Fact Checking Gardevoir February 7th, 2023 11:52 PM

The rule has just been updated and every post now must be fact-checked (by me) before being visible!
Since I am quite busy, it might take time, and thus, the win shall be mine for as long as I want!

ReKoil February 8th, 2023 12:02 AM

Guess this post slipped through the cracks, huh? 😏

Because of the section rules.

StCooler February 8th, 2023 3:07 AM

Fun fact: now that I'm a moderator, I don't need to ask for approval before posting 😏

Now I'm even more confused, are you just referring to new thread creation, or just posting in general? Cause I have no idea where someone would
even ask this.

ReKoil February 8th, 2023 11:16 AM

Oh no... were you not properly initiated upon joining PC ?
Mods, quick! Fix this! Drag him to the indoctrination initiation chamber! 😉

I mean, people just usually pay me a monthly fee.

But apart from that we just have this rule about thread monopolization. It's probably easier to understand when you know the context though. Forum Games used to be a massive spam fest. Two people could quite literally fill up pages of a thread by simply alternating posts. While that was occasionally fun. It also led to users feeling alienated. They wanted to take part in a discussion but then spammers could come in and just ruin things for everyone.

As a result we basically introduced that rule that especially in counting games you shouldn't just post the number. But also you should give other people breathing room so they could post as well. The general rule is "there should be at least two posts between your own". It's obviously not always as strict. Sometimes it would also make a topic get stuck because many people want to wait until there's at least two posts after their last. But generally this has worked out fine.

There are some minor issues that are very much edge cases. Like, when you see some higher staff person posting a little bit more and you see that as a break of the rule then probably don't report them and instead approach them. Because the thing is: both higher staff and section mods can see these reports. And when both decide to take this report simultaneously then this can cause some confusion. Not that that has ever happened before... ^^"
