Why does it feel so sacrilegious to write this number? Lol |
241 002.
I wonder how accurate the number is at this point. This has been going on for years. It's bound to go off track. Especially during stuff like the get together when you have half a dozen people trying to post at once. |
241 003
I completed the Dex in both Sword/Shield and BDSP and am 1 mon away for Scarlet/Violet, but should have that done later today =D For collectibles it depends on the games for me and if there's rewards for it or not. Like in GTA you'd generally unlock free weapon spawns at your houses if you collected all the stuff =D |

I'd never try to complete that kind of pokedex, but a pokemon fusion game is something I'd love to try. I remember that when I was a kid me and some friends tried to get the "secret fusion between Dialga and Palkia" in pokemon Diamond. It was the era when Internet was full of people saying false stuff and I found a post of an user on some kind of forum that stated a certain way to find an Item that would let you fuse Dialga and Palkia. I mean, I won't narrate the whole thing, but re-thinking about it, from the one hand I am like "how could we fall for that?", but on the other hand I kinda get it because of Eterna City's statue lol However this whole stupid thing actually made part of my childhood kinda epic, because like I had three hours phone calls with my friends, spending time on the Internet, figuring things out lol. It was pretty cool lol |

The Holon region... Citadark Isle... No Man's Land... Void Gauntlet... Coatlicue Garden... Bug Island... and so much more! And you will miss that wonderful feeling when you reach the end of a long journey, catching the very last pokémon in a remote place, and standing there, reminiscing about the adventure, with such relaxing music... Personally, no other game, official or fan made, has made me feel like that! |

I loved Dark Souls 1. I'm playing it again with a friend of mine, and it doesn't seem to be their taste. A shame really... |
*241 013
there was a time here also when people posted numbers and didnt chat. that was kinda sad. I've never played a dark souls game but Elden Ring seems fun d: |
241 014
We've had some real spammers here before we made a rule change. It was really really bad sometimes. ^^" I used to be more into action type of games. Really liked Wind Waker and Twilight Princess back in the day. Nowadays not so much. I tried Dark Souls and didn't particularly like it. And even BotW is very blant and boring to me. ^^" |
I should really try to emulate BotW,, and buy an xbox controller haha. It feels strange to play it with mouse and keyboard x) if it is even possible.
or or i just buy a switch finally :eyes: 241 015 |
241 016
I am kinda proud of having a Switch. I used and am using it quite a lot, even if I'd like to use it even more. However, I think the new Switch might be announced soon |
241 017.
The Switch will be turning 6 years old in March ._. Time does fly |
241 018
I've yet to play any Souls game... the gameplay isn't very appealing to me =P Guess I've had my Switch Lite roughly 2,5 years now? Feels shorter lol Edit: *That moment when you realize you got the switch lite like a month before you signed up on here...* 😅 |
241 019.
I started Elden Ring last week. It's fun. I accept that I am bad at video games and this might take me ages to complete. I'll keep patience with it. |

I played BotW on a friend's Switch, I got very frustrated after 30 minutes BECAUSE THE WEAPONS BREAK FFS WHO GOT THAT IDEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111!1!1!1!1!1!1! Breaking weapons should NEVER happen in videogames, it's the most frustrating things of all, you're fighting the kind of orcs and in the middle of the fight your weapon breaks and not only are you losing this fight, but also you have to waste time finding another weapon that will last you 10 minutes. No Switch was harmed during this playtest. |
241 021* (Thanks for the reminder doc!)
(And Megan!) I don't know how to respond with a piece of someone elses post, but that up there👆 about weapon durability is soooooo true. Then again, I didn't really like Bottom of the Well Breath of the Wind Wild that much at all. The game was alright, but it felt like too much of a demo to be worth all the hype it got, for me at least. Edit: Dang! That's the second time I've forgotten to do that... |

also, this is the counting thread! you gotta count :) 241 022 |
241 022
I originally bought the switch because I wanted to play four particular games that were Switch only. Smash Ultimate, Octopath Traveler, FE 3 Houses and Xenoblade 2. The former two ended up being a bust for me. But the others were fun. And of course I've ever since played a lot more Switch games to a point where I can say that it was definitely worth getting. Also: please remember to post the number in your post. That's what this thread is all about. :P |

FCG strikes again with that kindness and helpfulness. <3 |
241 028
FCG is always nice until she finds out you just ate the last chocolate bar 😱 😜 I pretty much just bought the Switch Lite because of Pokemon, though I also have a bunch of other games most of which are still wrapped in plastic lmao As for Weapon Durability, I remember TW3 having it (as well as Armor Durability) and keeping your gear in good condition was really not that hard there imo. You could visit armorers and weapon-smiths to have them repair it, or you could just stockpile repair kits. I just always had the repair kits with me and never had any issues, especially since you can just craft the dang things relatively cheaply in terms of components =3 Not that I'm particularly fond of the mechanic, mind you. |

Elder Scrolls games also used to have durability for weapons and stuff. I didn't really mind back then... Quote:
|
241 033
I didn't mind Oblivion's repair hammer mechanic all that much. I definitely prefer it to FO3/NV's system, and like it way more than BotW's 'use it 'till you lose it' take on durability. |
241 034.
New Vegas had an upgrade called 'Jury Rigging', which lets you dodge most of weapon repair. Can't remember if it was in FO3 |
241 035.
I completely forgot Oblivion had a repair mechanic =O Which obviously means it's time I figure out what to uninstall so I can make room for it and play it again :fufu: |
241 036
I used to carry around a couple hammers in Morrowind just in case. I never really needed them; at least not until I got back to my "base". Kinda miss the old lockpicking mechanics...and probes. They completely did away with them in Oblivion. There also used to be scrolls for unlocking stuff. They really removed a lot of cool things in later games. :( |

Never played a Fallout game. Not much of a fan of a post-apocalyptic setting, especially of the western kind. But even that series seems to have gone through some changes especially between Fallout 2 and 3 as I've heart. |
241 041
Never played it either. Never fascinated me tbh |
241 042
I played Fallout 3 and FNV multiple times. I tried to play Fallout4, but it overheats my computer into shutting down in like 30 minutes xD |
241 043
After Skyrim I tried Oblivion, after Oblivion I tried Morrowind. I couldn't play Morrowing because after following a tutorial to get a better-looking Morrowind (cause the vanilla Morrowind is ugly), Morrowing wouldn't run. Then I bought Fallout 3 but I didn't want to get into yet another mod installation session, so I didn't play it. |
241 044 Edit: (FFS I forgot AGAIN!)
I've played Skyrim, loved it. I've played Oblivion, loved it. I tried to play Morrowind, but I just couldn't get over the awful 'you can miss melee attacks at point blank range' mechanic. I'm thinking about giving it another try in the future though. |

I wasn't a fan of how Skyrim seemed to reuse the same voice actors for nearly every single character. Apparently it was even worse in Oblivion. If Elder Scrolls 6 ever releases, I wonder if they'll finally give in and use more variety as it's a modern title. |
241 047.
Elder Scrolls 6: now fully voiced solely by Todd Howard. 😉 😏 As for Morrowind I played for roughly 30 hours, got distracted by some other game and have yet to return to it years later... 😅 Oblivion was my first Elder Scrolls game, followed by Skyrim, then Morrowind. |
241 048
After installing a dialogue mod for Serana, I felt that she was well-written, and by contrast, that every other character lacks personality lol. |
241 049
I never played the DLC for Skyrim. I usually just play the version of a game I get and don't bother for DLC that gets released later on. They don't make me pay twice for the same game! D: |
241 050.
The special edition is almost always on sale these days. Although on switch skyrim is priced at $70.00. Eww. |
241 051.
As someone who plays Skyrim on switch, ew indeed. And switch doesn't even have mods! |
241 052
I got like 3 versions of Skyrim on Steam and need not bother with the Switch one =D At the very least one of those was free because I owned a previous version... can't remember if the 3rd came to me that way too lol |
241 053
I don't remember if I ever got more than one copy of the same game. I might have for some obscure indie game. I think I also have two versions of Super Mario Bros: one I got through the Ambassador Program for the 3DS and another one as a Birthday gift back when Nintendo was still giving out free stuff; good old Iwata times... |
242 054
I started playing Skyrim on computer with the Game pass trial, but then it ended and I became busy, so I have never finished it. I don't have more copies of the same game either, but it happened that I bought the same game multiple times. It happened a couple of times with some Pokémon Spin-offs, they were too hard for me at that time, so I sold them and then I bought them back some years later. Then Rayman Legends, which is a game I really liked: I firstly finished it on the PSVita, then I sold the console and last year I re-bought the game for the Switch. |

241 058
Lag is fun! Like when you lag in a FPS, stand up from cover and throw a grenade over a crate before crouching back, and watching, seconds late, your grenade be thrown against the crate, bounce and bounce again on the wall just... behind you... Oh no... |
241 059
I have rarely experienced lags. Not that I have computers from NASA, but I usually play on low graphics and I buy videogames like 3 or 4 years after their release dates, so they are cheap, complete and patched. An average laptop can run a videogame from 3 years ago on low graphics apparently? Quote:

When browsing PC I always have multiple tabs open 😅 |
241 065
I usually have two browser windows open. Both of which have multiple tabs open. But I'm also one of the five people on the internet who use Firefox. Everybody knows web developers only care about Chrome these days because that's like 200% of the entire browser marketshare. But Chrome also sucks and doesn't even include the "Google has a monopoly on almost everything nowadays" part. <_< |
241 066
I guess I'm one of those other five lol. I like Firefox, I've been using it ever since the whole internet (mostly just Youtube actually lol) made it impossible to watch videos on Internet Explorer a few years ago. Yes, I was also one of the only three people who actually used Internet Explorer unironically. I would ask why you would ever need so many different tabs open at once, but then I'd be a massive hypocrite lol. |
241 067
Firefox user #3 out of 5 reporting in :coolcat: I've never used chrome and likely never will. IE I only used long ago when I was a child and didn't know there were other internet browsers =P |

It is a fighting game I played in my young years, One Must Fall 2097! Featuring pilots with specific strength, stamina, speed, and cool, giant robots. |
241 077
Never heard of it tbh. Then again I was never really that into those 1 v 1 brawling games. I'll save people a google search if they haven't searched it yet: Spoiler:
I always liked the base production walkers from Universe At War: Earth Assault. The Habitat Walker in particular looks really cool: Spoiler:
I often played Hierarchy in that game simply because they were the most fun to play imo. Just send all 3 base walkers over while they are still producing units and you replenish your army while attacking =D Though obviously if they die, it takes a while to rebuild them. |
These Habitat Walkers, for some reasons, remind me of Mass Effect. :p
|
241 079
I've played Mass Effect for 10 minutes. I couldn't play more because for every choice I had, I spent too much time thinking "will I be able to date this character if I say that?". Then I decided it was too much of a hassle for a videogame and I came back to Dark Souls 3. |
241 080 (I caught myself this time!)
I loved Mass Effect 1. (I've played through it five times already BTW) Mass Effect 3 was pretty good from a controls point of view, but the story was the weakest of the trilogy for me. (I don't hate ending with the extended cut) I've never played Mass Effect Andromeda, I've heard 'mixed' reviews about it though. (some of which were really funny) |
241 081
Never played Mass Effect. I've heart the ending of the third game was not that good. The last games of these types I played were KOTOR 1+2. That's years ago. xD |
241 082
Apparently KOTOR is a Star Wars game. Which about sums up my interaction with Star Wars games 🙃 I never played Andromeda, but I liked the original trilogy, even if the endings in ME3 left something to be desired. The Synthesis ending in particular creeped me out, that green glow on everyone, as if everyone's being forcibly brainwashed. |

youguys are talking about Mass Effect??
241 084 I just finished ME1 Legendary Version a couple of days ago ^^ It was so goood. Played MShepard for the first time and half-romanced Liara (usually I always had a girl shep and romanced Kaidan). Been playing it intensely to stop thinking about work in this past week. I think it worked well ^^ am into ME2 now with the same MShep, only played ME2 once before and not with a continued file from ME1. There are many things in ME1 that I miss in ME2, mechanics wise. But it's really nice to head directly into ME2 (and with the DLC this time around!) and remember all the people who send me little messages for things that happened in the first game. Mass Effect rant over~ |
241 085
I pretty much always had Tali with me in ME, because Tali = best girl. 😇 The second companion would often be either EDI or Legion if available. Unless I had to do someone's personal quest ofc. |
241 086
tali IS best girl! she's so much fun |
241 087
I played "female" Shepard and Garrus is my favourite companion in the Citadel! |
241 088
I wanted to play Slowpoke Shepard but the game wouldn't let me. |

241 0934
So you played until you lost and then regretted it? :P |
241 095
taking a break after a loss is a good idea ^^ also quitting after a win because then you end on a good note~ |
241 096
For me, a 30 minutes to 2 hours, long close to mid range, infantry fight, in one area, in Planetside 2 is a win, even if my faction ends up losing! |
241 097
I'm waiting for Smogon to release the sprites of the new gen 9 Pokémons, so I can release an update to my fangame. Meanwhile, almost every new move/ability/item is coded so far... What a pity I am not good at pixel art... So I have no choice but to play LoL to keep me busy 😇 |
