Cacturne moveset

I've thought of using a Cacturne for a while, and these are the movesets I've come up for it.

[email protected] Powder
-Needle Arm
-Cotton Spore
-Double Team
-Sandstorm

Basically, the tactic is to use Sandstorm on turn 1 to raise evasion a little bit (with Cacturne's ability+Bright Powder), then use DT a few times. Afterwords, use Cotton Spore to slow the enemy down, then keep using Needle Arm (betting my chances on flinching).

I now most English players hate DT for some reason, saying it's "gay" and what not, but I'm planning on playing against Asain friends so theres not much problem there.

The problem I have is the EV distribution, and the fact that Cacturne is soft and slow.

Can someone help please?

Sandstorm on Cacturne? At least leave the sandstorm activation to Tyranitar to not waste a move slot for that. Btw, double team is a bit unfair. You win by pressing a button 6 times and the opponent can't hit you... is that fair? Anyway, Cotton Spore's effect disappears after the opponent switches, so it won't really work.

Well, if you want to use Cacturne, then I suggest to use the following moveset:

[email protected]
EVs: 82 attack, 252 speed, 176 sp.attack
Nature: Lonely
Focus Punch
Hidden Power [Fire / Water / Electric]
Substitute
Leech Seed

Stall with Subseed and Focus Punch when the opponent doesn't brake your sub. Hidden Power for anything that Focus Punch doesn't hit. I know that it's a bit hard to get the right hidden power in-game and with not a low attack power, but it worths a try, I guess. =/

Well, I hope this will help.

Luck is a tactic for me. And after all, even after 6 times, the opponent can still hit you (altough the chances are low). Plus most ppl I know have at least one hazer in their staple team.

Then please expain why it does? And if it sucks so much, why it exists and why so many people (most Asians I know/2channelers etc) like it?

Anyway, dealing with evasion is just one part of playing the game. Hey, Pokemon is a luck game (like 2x dmg if critical).

Because they like to piss off their opponents. DTers are cheap to most people. But my team has a pokemon with an attack that always hits no matter how much accuracy the opponent has, and every team should.

Glad to see you have a 100%hitter in your team :D I think every team should be like that, or have some sort of hazer at least.

Since torkoal_7 gave me a good moveset, I really have no use for this thread now. So it'll be nice if mods lock this or something before it becomes a "DT is gay" "no it's not" thread.
Thank you.
