Help me improve this team, please

And get a rating while we're at it. I'm aware that the following team has a MASSIVE weakness to water-types, but I've gotten around that on Netbattle.

Aerodactyl (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Rock Head
Nature: Jolly
-Earthquake
-Rock Slide
-Hidden Power (Flying)
-Double-Edge

Milotic (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
Nature: Modest
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Mirror Coat
-Recover

Weezing (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
Nature: Careful
-Sludge Bomb
-Will-O-Wisp
-Haze
-Fire Blast

Miltank (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
Nature: Impish
-Return
-Heal Bell
-Milk Drink
-Thunder Wave

Metagross @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
Nature: Adamant
-Brick Break
-Meteor Mash
-Earthquake
-Shadow Ball

*Armaldo @ Leftovers/Lum Berry
Trait: Battle Armor
Nature: Adamant
-Earthquake
-Rock Blast
-Facade
-Swords Dance

*Magneton @ Leftovers
Trait: Magnet Pull
Nature: Modest
-Thunderbolt
-Thunder Wave
-Hidden Power (Ice)
-Protect

*I switch these out depending on what my opponent uses. Other Pokemon I've considered are Element Salamence, Physical Salamence, Ninetales, Starmie and Dusclops. I dislike Magneton's horrible speed, so I normally use Armaldo.

Didn't you just say this was for NB? Next time, while in Team Builder, go File -> Export to Text. That way you don't have to type it all out. Btw, you forgot EVs.

Aero: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

Milotic: I prefer Bold, 156 HP / 200 Def / 40 Spd / 56 SAtk / 56 SDef, but that's just me. Hypnosis>MC

Weezing: Impish, 196 HP / 60 Atk / 252 Defense, Pain Split>FB

Miltank: You're lacking a Sp.Wall, so I would suggest changing to Blissey.

Metagross @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 140 HP / 252 Atk / 20 Def / 96 Spd
Adamant (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Agility
- Explosion

Magneton: Keep it, toss Armaldo. Give it HP:Fire>HP:Ice for Forretres/Steelix. With this, you won't have to worry about Skarmory, and FB on Weezing won't be necessary. I'm not sure why Protect is on there.

Well, I originally made the team on Netbattle, but I reproduced it on Colosseum. It took me... quite a long time.

Also, when I click 'Export to Text' all I get is an empty screen.

As for the Miltank/Blissey thing... people hate Blissey, so I don't use it.

leafgreen386 August 14th, 2005 4:17 PM

Do you face a lot of n00bs or something? Blissey is not Uber. Blissey is not claused...

...by honorable players. If a person can't deal with Blissey, tough. Then they should fix their team to handle it. It is by no means overpowered. Just look at its Defense stat.

Bliksem August 14th, 2005 4:21 PM

That is true. Anyways, how would you get the 'Export to Text' to function correctly?

Why oh why do people always want to put hypnosis on milotic? Mirror coat is so much better, it takes care of those pesky electric types put the evs to Defense and Special defense.

Suggestions and comments in bold.

-Rock Slide
-Hidden Power (Flying)
-Double-Edge

Milotic (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
Nature: Modest
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Mirror Coat / Hypnosis
-Recover

Mirror Coat looses from it's effect once the opponent knows you have it, while you can still use hypnosis after the pokemon which has been put to sleep before gets KO-ed.

Weezing (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
Nature: Careful
-Sludge Bomb
-Will-O-Wisp / Fire Blast
-Haze
-Pain Split / Rest

If you want to use FB, then use it over W-o-w. You need to keep weezing alive, so you can choose from rest and pain split, though I rather suggest pain split. You won't need FB anyway, if you use Magneton.

Miltank (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
Nature: Impish
-Body Slam
-Heal Bell
-Milk Drink
-Curse

What you have posted is almost a Blissey moveset. If you want to use that moveset, then use Blissey with Seismic Toss over Return, Softboiled over Milk Drink and Aromateraphy over Heal Bell. If you want to use Miltank, then use Curse and Body Slam over Return and T-wave.

Metagross @ Choice Band
Trait: Clear Body
Nature: Adamant
-Explosion
-Meteor Mash
-Earthquake
-Sludge Bomb

Explosion is almost a MUST on Metagross, since it kills almost anything not named Steelix, Forretress and Aggron. I thought before that Shadow Ball works just as well as Sludge Bomb on gross, but since I figured out that MM does enough neutral damage to most psychics, Sludge Bomb > Shadow Ball. It's always nice to see how Suicune gets poisoned on the switch anyway. Btw, give it Choice Band over Lefties.

*Armaldo @ Leftovers/Lum Berry
Trait: Battle Armor
Nature: Adamant
-Rapid Spin
-Rock Blast
-Hidden Power [Bug]
-Swords Dance

If you use Armaldo, then give it Rapid Spin and HP Bug.

*Magneton @ Salac berry
Trait: Magnet Pull
Nature: Timid
-Thunderbolt
-Thunder Wave
-Hidden Power [Grass / Fire]
-Endure

Don't worry about it's speed. Give it Salac berry and Endure, so it can take a hit, then strike back or just t-wave the opponent's pokemon, so that its team mates can handle the paralyzed pokemon afterwards. HP Grass if you're worried about swampert (well, your team doesn't have any grass moves...) and HP Fire, to damage Forretress and Steelix.

*I switch these out depending on what my opponent uses. Other Pokemon I've considered are Element Salamence, Physical Salamence, Ninetales, Starmie and Dusclops. I dislike Magneton's horrible speed, so I normally use Armaldo.

Well, I hope this will help.

HP: bug on aero and snorlax over miltank, I like metal sound on Magneton because after it kills skarm it generally doesn't have any use on the team, so you might as well help out by messing with the opponents special sponge

Magneton @ Leftovers
Trait: Magnet Pull
EVs: 60 HP / 4 Def / 192 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Metal Sound
- Reflect
- Thunderbolt

reflect lets it take alot of physical attacks and a non stabbed earthquake

Without Miltank, I have no Cleric, and the team dies to status.

leafgreen386 August 15th, 2005 11:26 AM

For a moment there I thought you were talking about Torkoal_7's post. Um, actually, something I completely forgot before, is since you have Milotic to suck up statuses, you don't need a Cleric. Milotic actually benefits from the status conditions.

Another cool thing you can do with Milotic is give it Rest and Sleep Talk>Recover and MC/Hypnosis.
