I don't drink alcohol so I wouldn't know.
I'll just Disagree =P

You don't need to go abroad to have a good vacation.

StCooler January 6th, 2023 5:11 PM

Agreed, now that I live alone, I no longer travel to get good vacations :)

It's normal to be angry at a videogame sometimes.

Megan January 7th, 2023 12:32 AM

Is it? I usually don't get angry, I just drop them very quickly. But knowing other people I'll just go ahead and agree.

The mobile game market is a waste of potential.

ReKoil January 7th, 2023 10:13 AM

Not sure which way to interpret that:
are the mobile games wasted potential? Or are the people making them wasting their potential there?
For the latter I'd probably Agree, given how simplistic mobile games generally tend to be.
For the former... I mean, would the game simply being on another platform make it better? Mobile games tend to be designed a certain way, so I doubt it.
Also mobile games are a great time waster for children, which will click on in-game purchases so you can scam their parents out of money! That's a win-win! =D

I've never played games on my mobile. I'll just Disagree for now. The mobile games could potentially be better on a different platform, but they'd likely need to be redesigned completely as well. And it's not like there isn't a market for it. Plenty of parents install those things on their phones and tablets just to keep their children busy.

You should eat when you're hungry, not at a fixed time.

ZeoStar January 7th, 2023 2:28 PM

Agree.

...If I say no here it would make me a total hypocrite.

Each person is unique.

StCooler January 7th, 2023 5:04 PM

I've often thought about that question. My answer would be: kinda agree, kinda disagree.
My stance is: each person has multiple interests, multiple skills, multiple flaws, multiple personality traits. None of these interests, skills, flaws, personality traits are unique, but each combination is (probably).

Money makes happy.

Well, if you played LoL or Dark Souls you would sometimes yell I guess :P

Megan January 7th, 2023 10:28 PM

There are people who only need money to be happy. But I'm not one of those people. So I disagree.

It's good to change things up in your daily routine. Or else you start feeling miserable at some point.

Potential as in "you could do so many cool things with the premise of games on a phone" and wasted as in "it's just used for corporations to paste garbage that makes a lot of proft"

I once got stuck on a pixel perfect jump in "I wanna be the Guy". I sat there trying for two hours straight. I wasn't frustrated by it. But after the two hours I resigned, anyway. xD

ReKoil January 8th, 2023 2:34 AM

Luckily my daily routine already has variation built in as no workday is exactly the same for me =D
But yea, Agreed.

You should live and let live.

Sweet Serenity January 9th, 2023 3:45 PM

Disagree. All opinions can and will be challenged.

Milk is good for you.

Alex_Among_Foxes January 9th, 2023 3:51 PM

Not if you're lactose intolerant. (doesn't stop me though)

Washing your hands should be mandatory every time you leave a bathroom.

Sweet Serenity January 9th, 2023 3:56 PM

Strongly agree! Hygiene is always great to practice!

The claim that breakfast is a very important meal is overrated.

StCooler January 9th, 2023 5:16 PM

I disagree. Skipping a meal is the best way to overeat snacks or on the next meal. Plus being hungry doesn't make you work or study better.

Hope is an important part of life.

Megan January 9th, 2023 9:23 PM

No society is built on despair. So, I agree.

It's hard to figure out people even if you know them for long enough.

ZeoStar January 10th, 2023 3:49 AM

Agree. We humans are complex little creatures.

"Agree to disagree" is often a good resolution for conflict.

ReKoil January 10th, 2023 9:59 AM

Kinda agree, because of the word often, but it's definitely something that's not always going to work.

There are too many superhero movies.

Megan January 10th, 2023 9:21 PM

Agree. And they don't even try to go out of their comfort zone, either. :(

Mint creme is the best chocolate filling!

Alex_Among_Foxes January 10th, 2023 9:35 PM

I'd say it depends on what the mint & chocolate are used for, (as an example, 'Thin Mints' are very gross to me)
But I really do like the combo together overall, (especially mint) so I'll agree.

Society as a whole should treat the people who handle & clean up its garbage with more respect.

ReKoil January 11th, 2023 11:37 AM

Agreed. I'd add emergency workers to that too. The way ambulance personnel often gets treated nowadays is especially outrageous.

People order too many things they don't actually need online.

StCooler January 11th, 2023 5:34 PM

I'll say I agree, but actually, people buy too many things they don't actually need, period, it doesn't need to be online ^^

Computers are the biggest breakthrough of humanity.

Megan January 11th, 2023 9:19 PM

I actually disagree. Just because we use them in such a huge amount as we do doesn't mean they're the best thing ever. It completely negates all the other breakthroughs that we made in the past. Like the wheel, or any sort of artistic advances (the way we see the world). Computers are up there, sure. And they definitely helped amplifying our previous advances. But they also opened up another can of worms that we now have to deal with, like toxicity in Social Media, etc.

Privaticing the health sector (clinics, healthcare, etc.) is bad.

ReKoil January 12th, 2023 8:57 AM

It'll probably make healthcare more inaccessible to the less wealthy. I'm not sure it's bad per se as I don't really know enough on the subject, but knowing human greed one can guess where things would end up =P
I'll Agree I guess.

Vital jobs like nurses and janitors are underpaid and underappreciated.

_confused_piplup_ January 12th, 2023 12:23 PM

Totally agree. It actually depends a lot in the place where you live. But anyway, a person in my family is a nurse and they had many difficulties, mainly organizational problems. This is just to show that it's underappreciated and also underpaid imo.

Online shopping can be addicting

moon January 12th, 2023 1:29 PM

Haha I suppose yeah. But I usually don't buy a lot, I just research forever to try to and decide what one thing I want. And then sometimes don't even buy it in the end xD But yes, for many, I've heard online shopping can be addicting... Dangerous.

Very cold weather is more tolerable than very warm weather.

Sweet Serenity January 12th, 2023 1:52 PM

Strongly disagree! The cold weather is the worst thing ever for me! I love very warm or very hot weather, even.

Paying with card is better than paying with cash!

StCooler January 12th, 2023 5:28 PM

Agree! I almost never pay in cash.

For those who don't know, during the development of Pokémon Red/Green/Blue, Game Freak had to make a choice between allowing for a second savegame, or implementing the Pokémon renamer.
Agree or disagree: the second savegame would have been more desirable.

Megan January 12th, 2023 9:16 PM

That is a strange claim, tbh. I don't know what was more desirable at the time. We just took things as they were. And I don't remember anyone complaining. Nowadays it's different, of course. But people have also grown up and have now set themselves other priorities. And some of the would benefit from an additional save slot.
But at the same time I can see where GF is coming from. The idea behind a single save file is just a lot more of a "having a more personal relationship with your Pokemon" kind of deal.
So, I guess I disagree. (But most others will probably agree)

We should get a 2D Pokemon game again.

ReKoil January 13th, 2023 9:13 AM

I prefer the 3D Pokemon games, so on solely my own preference I'd Disagree.
That said it's not like I'm opposed to GF making one for the people who like that sort of dated stuff. =P

People waste too many resources out of laziness.

Sweet Serenity January 13th, 2023 12:57 PM

Agree. Well, I can't say that this true for all or most people, but it is definitely true for some, myself included. I need to learn to stop procrastinating and actually get some motivation to do what needs to be done.

Taking daily vitamins is not as healthy as people think it is.

StCooler January 13th, 2023 5:27 PM

True. A (Belgian, but French-speaking) fitness Youtuber made a thorough analysis of all the multivitamins he could buy in his country, and I learned that there were many chemical residues or additives that were actually unhealthy, some of them being forbidden in medicine or in food.
Spoiler:
I've written "True" and not "I agree" :coolcat:

Despite this previous statement, and assuming the vitamins were good quality, most people should take multivitamins daily.

Megan January 13th, 2023 9:46 PM

I disagree; partly because of your vagueness and partly because I disagree. People who need them should get them and everyone else should find the best way to get their vitamin intake in a better way (like eating fruits/vegetables and do other stuff).

Life is too short.

Alex_Among_Foxes January 13th, 2023 10:40 PM

This one is tough to agree or disagree to.
For someone that has a really hard life full of pain, them wanting it to be over quickly would make sense.
But for someone that has a happy life full of, well, whatever makes them happy, they would want to cling on to it for as long as possible.
I've seen examples of both, I would never want to prolong someone's suffering, but I wouldn't want to cause someone else's suffering either...

The US should fully embrace the metric system.

_confused_piplup_ January 14th, 2023 12:08 AM

Agree. I m not even from the US, but I mean yes, they totally should. Most Countries do. Less barriers, more connection.

Luxury brands clothes are too expensive if compared to the quality

Sweet Serenity January 14th, 2023 12:49 AM

Agree. Yet, that doesn't stop me from wanting to buy luxury brands. I would love a Louis Vutton bag.

Social media is great for society

ReKoil January 14th, 2023 9:58 AM

Outside of this forum I don't use any so... idk
Though I've heard of people bullying others through social Media so I think I'll just Disagree.

Physical books will stop being made eventually.

Alex_Among_Foxes January 14th, 2023 5:52 PM

I agree, but I hope not. I don't read all that much, but I still love the feeling of a good book in my hands when I do.

The New Year should start on the first of March.

Sweet Serenity January 14th, 2023 6:27 PM

Disagree. Things are fine how they are.

Fast food isn't as unhealthy as people think it is.

Megan January 14th, 2023 9:10 PM

Disagree. Something as cheaply made and especially the US version with less regulations can only be bad.

Pokemon should get a new mascot.

ZeoStar January 15th, 2023 12:21 AM

Disagree. Mascots usually thrive off mainstream appeal, which pikachu currently holds above any other pokemon. Seen others who know nothing about the franchise who can recognize pikachu. (and then not even know what a charizard is).

No point in fixing something that isn't broken.

Sweet Serenity January 15th, 2023 12:32 AM

Disagree. There is always room for improvement. Not changing just makes it predictable.

"Never meet your heroes."

Sweet Serenity January 15th, 2023 12:32 AM

Disagree. There is always room for improvement. Not changing just makes it predictable.

"Never meet your heroes."

ReKoil January 15th, 2023 3:17 AM

Do I need to reply twice too? 🤔

Probably true for those who actually have heroes or hold someone in high regard. Fulfilling all the expectations one makes will be impossible.
I'll Agree I guess.
Though personally I expect very little from people to begin with =P

Roller coasters are the best part of an amusement park.

Fact Checking Gardevoir January 15th, 2023 4:02 AM

I disagree. I prefer these theater like rooms with a big screen showing a moving camera view, turning left and right, up and down along with the room! Then there is the 3D glasses version!
... And also colorful bubbles pools!

StCooler January 15th, 2023 5:52 PM

Do I need to invent an "agree or disagree"? Or do I need to reply to Serenity's second post? 🤔

Never skip a meal.

Megan January 15th, 2023 9:33 PM

Disagree. Mostly because I'm not even sure what the scientific consent on meal amounts is. Some say three, some say five. And some people require more food than others. It's complicated.

Nobody should be lonely.

Alex_Among_Foxes January 15th, 2023 11:15 PM

Agree. Loneliness sucks.

Being a bit too hot is worse than being a bit too cold.

ReKoil January 16th, 2023 3:38 AM

Agreed. Them's just the facts 😌 😉
Anyway personally my body handles heat way worse than cold =3

You're never too old to learn.

ZeoStar January 16th, 2023 3:11 PM

Agree. We can always find joy in learning something new.

It's important to be punctual

StCooler January 16th, 2023 4:52 PM

Agree. But I know from experience that half the people disagree :(

If you're sportsy you will get injured sooner or later.

Megan January 16th, 2023 9:20 PM

You mean "if you do sports"? Then yes, I agree. It's an inevitable risk. The question is just if it is worse than not doing sports at all.

Vanilla ice cream is the best.

Alex_Among_Foxes January 16th, 2023 9:38 PM

Agree. Especially when it's used to make a vanilla malt! *chef's kiss*

Cheese should be on chicken sandwiches (that you'd order at a fast food place) by default.

ReKoil January 17th, 2023 8:59 AM

Disagree. I'm not big on cheese, so it should be on as little as possible, and never in big quantities ! =3

Being famous has more demerits than benefits.

Megan January 17th, 2023 9:15 PM

The Media attention some get definitely sucks. And for your average citicen who gets famous over night it only brings more harm than good. So, I agree.

Media should just stop annoying everyone with the English royalty, especially outside of GB.

Alex_Among_Foxes January 18th, 2023 2:00 AM

Absolutlely agree. I'm fine with it being knowledge that someone can look up if they really want to know,
but really, how is whatever the royals are doing (outside of something major like declaring war)
going to alter things for anyone who doesn't live there in the slightest?

Brushing your teeth after every meal is really excessive.

ReKoil January 18th, 2023 10:00 AM

I brush my teeth once a day so I'd Agree =P

Taking a bath is more relaxing than taking a shower.

Sweet Serenity January 18th, 2023 7:03 PM

Disagree. Nothing feels better than having that hot water spray on your body.

"All's fair in love and war."

Megan January 18th, 2023 9:22 PM

Disagree. When in love with someone who doesn't love you back your actions can sour that relationship permanently. But this might also just be me remembering some horrible things I did way back that one time I actually felt some emotions towards someone...

As for war: Putin is the best example right now. Not only waging war but also bombarding civil institutions and sending masses of soldiers towards their death just in hopes to get the upper hand someday; all the while threatening people with nukes constantly. No thanks!

We should take ourselves not too seriously.

Alex_Among_Foxes January 18th, 2023 11:42 PM

(Your comment on being in love with someone and them not loving you back... That brought up some bad old memories... I wish I could say I didn't know how that feels. Unfortunately I do.)

Agree. I know at least one person who takes themself waaaay to seriously, to the point that they just suck to be around.
You don't have to always be the punchline to everyones joke, but not having a stick up your (well, you know) all the time
just makes anyone who actually wants to be around you uncomfortable.

It's better to be blind, than to be deaf.

ZeoStar January 19th, 2023 4:16 AM

Disagree.

I have not lived with or met anyone with such disorders. Could not gauge this. If this was a 'pick your poison'. I would take deafness.

Sleeping with two pillows is better than one

ReKoil January 19th, 2023 9:02 AM

Is there any actual medical benefit to it? 🤔 idk
I sleep with one pillow so I'll disagree =3

It's important to free some time in your day that you spend on yourself/doing things for yourself.

Sweet Serenity January 19th, 2023 3:02 PM

I agree. I can't argue with this.

Streaming music is better than buying CDs.

bg January 19th, 2023 3:26 PM

Disagree. CDs have a higher emotional and material value than any streaming service.

Taking a bath every day is harmful to your skin.

Sweet Serenity January 19th, 2023 4:25 PM

Strongly disagree. Bathing everyday kills the bacteria on your skin, which more harmful than not bathing.

Honesty is the best policy.

StCooler January 19th, 2023 5:51 PM

I honestly don't know. I feel lies are ok in certain cases (for example, to protect yourself) but at the same time there is this Western morale that states you shouldn't lie because you're telling people fake information that they might use...
I don't know. I'll say "it depends".

Strawberries are overrated.

Sweet Serenity January 19th, 2023 5:55 PM

I disagree. Strawberries are great, especially when coated in either chocolate or whipped cream.

Don't trust anybody

Megan January 19th, 2023 9:39 PM

I disagree because that statement also includes never trusting yourself, as well. Also, not trusting anybody means you can't rely on them. And if you don't rely on others then there's no real point in even trying to survive every day in your life.

Everyone should pick up a skill that can be used to help someone else.

ReKoil January 20th, 2023 9:39 AM

Kinda Agree, as it can be useful in all manner of situations, but at the same time feel like someone shouldn't be forced into something like that against their will. It will just create animosity.

It's easy to take something for granted.

StCooler January 21st, 2023 6:15 PM

It depends on the person I would say. I am very distrustful by nature so I generally don't take anything for granted.

Gaming a whole day should never happen.
No I didn't spend my whole Saturday just gaming...

Megan January 21st, 2023 8:28 PM

Disagree. You do you. I can't really tell you what you're allowed to do and what not.

Watching Sports is boring.

_confused_piplup_ January 21st, 2023 11:33 PM

Agree. If I have to see someone catching a ball, it better be a goofy cat instead lol

Money doesn't make true happiness

ReKoil January 22nd, 2023 5:18 AM

Personally I'd Agree as imo Money just buys you comfort.
There's undoubtedly people out there that are shallow enough that it does hold true for them though =P

Everyone should learn how to swim.

Sweet Serenity January 22nd, 2023 6:47 AM

Disagree. Swimming isn't important for everybody.

People should be judged based on personality and views rather than their race, creed, or sexuality.

Alex_Among_Foxes January 22nd, 2023 7:10 AM

Agree. (I'm not sure I'd want to read why someone would disagree to this...)
Though I'm more into judging people by their actions than their words.

Dyed hair is cool.

StCooler January 22nd, 2023 1:45 PM

Agree.

Believe in your dreams.

ZeoStar January 22nd, 2023 4:57 PM

Agree. Can't see much of a point in them otherwise.

There is no 'correct' way to enjoy a Pokemon game.

Sweet Serenity January 22nd, 2023 6:35 PM

It depends really. There is if you have a certain goal in mind. For instance, if you want to win most competitive battles, the only correct way to play is to breed and train for the best EVs, IVs, and Natures.

How did you get into your hobby?

Megan January 22nd, 2023 9:01 PM

Uh...? I agree that you should try out new things and potentially gain new hobbies that way. When I got into origami it was just the fact that folding paper is relatively easy. So you can do it in no time. At some time I wanted some tools for smaller projects and bought some that later turned out to be made for quilting. So, now I have to look into that at some point, as well. xD

It's good to try and see things from other people's perspective.

Oh, my bad. It seems I got the threads mixed up again. I was thinking this was the answer the question above and quiz the next user.

Anyways, I agree. It's always good to be open minded.

Milk is good for you.

_confused_piplup_ January 22nd, 2023 11:28 PM

Agree, I guess. They have always told me it does, so I guess it does. I have kinda never doubted it. Also, a reminder to me that I should drink more milk (I replace it with tea, basically)

When things are much advertised, instead of gaining interest in that thing, you loose it.

StCooler January 23rd, 2023 3:13 AM

I agree, I have totally had this feeling with Undertale. There was a point in time when Undertale was over-popular, everybody was talking about it, and some of its fans were super toxic. As a result, I haven't even bought it and I will probably never play it.

Emotions can be counterproductive.

ReKoil January 23rd, 2023 4:38 AM

That highly depends on the situation imo, so I'll just Disagree due to lack of context. =D

Nobody is infallible.

ZeoStar January 23rd, 2023 4:18 PM

Agree. I actually consider it a fallacy to consider another infallible.

Condiments generally make foods taste better.

Sweet Serenity January 23rd, 2023 6:19 PM

Somewhat disagree. This is only true for certain foods. Hot sauce and ketchup tend to make fried foods better, and certain condiments make sandwiches have more flavor, but a lot of foods that exist don't need condiments at all.

If you're not smoking outside, you should only smoke in designated smoking areas.

Megan January 23rd, 2023 9:18 PM

Imo, you shouldn't smoke at all. I really hate the smell of cigarette smoke. <_<
Well, I guess I agree. Can't expect people to stop smoking, after all. As they say: "The tobaco industry won"

Some old tech should have not been replaced.

ReKoil January 24th, 2023 12:18 PM

Scrolled through a list to make up my mind on this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_obsolete_technology
I think I'll Disagree as the only thing on there I'd agree with is me being an old person and preferring the physical keyboards over the touchscreen keyboards phones have nowadays... and even then I've pretty much just gotten used to it. Though there might be stuff not on there that would make me agree though.... 🤔

Finding good birthday presents for someone becomes harder and harder over time.

Alex_Among_Foxes January 25th, 2023 9:10 AM

Agree. Especially if you don't talk to each other as much as you used to.

Holiday lights shouldn't just be a thing done around christmas.

Sweet Serenity January 25th, 2023 4:01 PM

I agree, but decorative lights are done for quite a few holidays.

Mustard is the worst "food" item ever conceived by humanity. 🤢

ZeoStar January 25th, 2023 4:34 PM

Disagree. I don't like cornbread. It's my least favorite.

3 hours is too long for most movies.

StCooler January 25th, 2023 6:24 PM

Agree. I already find it hard to watch a movie for 2 hours. I want to do something. That's why I prefer videogames.

Work from home killed the social aspect of work.

Sweet Serenity January 25th, 2023 8:30 PM

Disagree because many jobs still exists that allow you to socialize. Still, work is about getting paid first, not making friends.

Bottled water is better than tap water.

Megan January 25th, 2023 9:04 PM

I disagree. Our tap water is actually pretty good. And it's a lot cheaper than bottled water and doesn't produce more plastic that just ends up in the ocean! :P

History just repeats itself.

ReKoil January 26th, 2023 8:15 AM

Although it's highly likely it will keep doing that due to how humans are, the future isn't exactly set in stone so there's absolutely no guarantee it will.
Which I guess is a Disagree.

It's easy to lose track of time while playing a game you like.

Alex_Among_Foxes February 6th, 2023 11:45 PM

(Time to bring this thread back from its vacation lol)

As someone who's lost whole days to getting really into videogames, I agree.

Humans should be able to have fluffy tails!
I just got to Priscilla in my NG+ run of Dark Souls lol.

Megan February 7th, 2023 9:29 PM

I'm not going to argue if people who feel like they need one should not be allowed to have one. As long as it's up to the individual I'll agree.

There should not be discussions whether people of minority groups are valid or not; especially when those people aren't even involved in those discussion.

_confused_piplup_ February 9th, 2023 2:54 AM

Agree, it should be universally recognized that minorities are valid. On the other hand, I disagree on the fact that they shouldn't discuss about it if those people aren't involved. I think that everyone can have an opinion and enough empathy to talk about them, however what changes is that to discuss those things properly you MUST be informed. So, if they are informed and sensible to the topic, I see nothing wrong with that, otherwise it's just a waste of time and it's pretty useless because you're discussing about something that doesn't represent reality.

Sometimes studying is more stressful than working

ReKoil February 9th, 2023 9:09 AM

But it can be, so I suppose that's an Agree since it says sometimes.

Pokemon as a franchise has only been getting better.

Sweet Serenity February 9th, 2023 6:48 PM

Strongly agree, no doubt!

Kindness is more valuable in a person than intelligence.

Megan February 9th, 2023 9:05 PM

I want to agree but at the same time I'm aware that the world is a little bit more complicated than that. There can also be kindness in intelligence when it's used for the greater good. So, I guess it's agree?

Waffles are better than pancakes.

ReKoil February 10th, 2023 6:47 AM

Why would anyone want to eat those? 🤔

I haven't eaten a pancake in like a decade at the very least.
Waffles I eat occasionally, but not often.
Agreed, I guess.

It's useful to know more than 1 language.

StCooler February 10th, 2023 6:29 PM

Somewhat disagree.
Basically if you speak English you can (more or less) communicate with everyone. So you basically need nothing more than English. And Some time ago I realised that most people don't need more than their mother tongue to live their whole life (not counting the few times they go abroad).
However, if you speak more languages then you can communicate properly with more people. But you have to maintain those languages, otherwise you forget them!

Western countries look alike.

Disagree. They are pretty different imo, especially if you compare one of the European Countries to any in America.

Globalization may have a huge impact on culture
