20.
Pupitar is safe now. Tyranitar is next. https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/xyani/tyranitar.gif 10. I'll vote this beast up. |
11.
It has a future Paradox ancestor almost reminiscent of a mechanical Tyranitar used in PokéStar Studios. |
12.
It swaps the Ground typing for a Dark typing. |
13.
For me it's hard to use if it has Sand Stream. Unless I decide to build a sand team. |
14.
It is the only Rock/Dark type Pokemon. |
15.
Sand Stream gives Tyranitar a solid Sp. Def boost while it has the Rock typing. When it Mega Evolves, it is even sturdier. And slightly faster, oddly enough. |
16.
It has high Attack and decent Special Attack. |
17.
Godzilla! I love it. I loved going up to the roaming Tyranitar in the Wild Area in Sw/Sh and challenging it with my Mons which were half or a third its size. |
18.
I like its cry. |
19.
The line was catchable in USUM, but not SM. |
20. Tyranitar SAVED!
Next up, the beast of the sea themself: Lugia! 10. |
11. Best staller in the game, hands down!
|
12.
Lugia is a nice legendary birb. |
13
I love it |
14.
I picked SoulSilver because of it. |
15
With Multiscale as an ability, it becomes one of the hardest pokemon ever to KO in one hit. |
16.
It became corrupted into Shadow Lugia in XD. When purified, it has the special moves of Aeroblast and Feather Dance. |
17. One of the all-time greats!
|
18.
Lugia has high defensive stats. |
19.
It is a major star in The Power of One. Its song is a pleasant and majestic oceanic vibe to listen to. |
|
11.
It appeared very briefly in the very first episode of the OG anime. There is a theory that Ash wished to remain youthful forever upon getting a glimpse of Ho-Oh in the sky at the very start of his journey. |
12.
Iconic appearance in the first pokemon episode, striking pokemon with a beautiful concept the Phoenix Hō-ō, love the backstory at the burnt tower, and it's kindness for resurrecting entei, suicune and raikou, awesome gold and white shiny, it's got regenerator, sacred fire, great physical attack and bulky, especially on the special side, even though fire/flying has it's issues- it has heavy duty boots to help it against stealth rock. Ho-oh also gives you a lovely gift of the sacred ash. Sounds like a good pokemon to upvote to me! |
13.
Ho-Oh has the best physical Attack of all the Legendary Birds of both Kanto and Johto when grouped together with the Uno, Dos, Tres trio alongside Lugia. |
14.
I personally like Ho-Oh more than Lugia. |
15.
Ho-Oh is okay. |
16.
Sacred Fire used to be its signature move. |
17.
It has one of the best Legendary Pokémon battle themes in the whole franchise, if not the best. |
18.
In the Spaceworld '97 demo, Ho-Oh was a pure Flying-type. |
19.
It represents the rainbow. If it were to receive a Regional Variant, I’d imagine it being pinker with some reds, blues and purples in some of its feathers, being a Fairy/Flying-type. A Regional Variant for Lugia, meanwhile, could be a Ghost/Flying-type, effectively being the true Shadow Lugia. |
20.
Safe. Time for the time traveling onion and last Johto mon: https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/xyani/celebi.gif 10. |
11.
In the Virtual Console release of Crystal, you will always have access to the GS Ball sidequest to obtain Celebi once you have defeated Lance and the Elite Four. |
12.
It features in not one, not two, but THREE Pokémon movies - Celebi: Voice of the Forest, Zoroark: Master of Illusion and Secrets of the Jungle. That's not even counting its multiple major anime appearances. My headcanon is that Celebi multiplies with each split in the timeline, and that it has done that so many times that it's practically impossible to find the original. It's like Queen Amidala's gimmick of traveling alongside her lookalike handmaids for protection, except it involves time travel! |
13. Extremely versatile to use when battling!
|
14.
An event Celebi unlocks a sidequest in HG/SS involving Giovanni's whereabouts during the main plot of that game. Said sidequest is famous for: 1. Confirming that Silver is Giovanni's estranged son, abandoned by his father after Red took down Team Rocket, 2. Spawning a lot of theories about Giovanni possibly having taken his own life by jumping off Tohjo Falls. These rumours promptly got dispelled in B2/W2 and US/UM when Giovanni returned perfectly alive and well. |
15.
Celebi is cute. I bought the Crystal VC just to be able to catch it. |
16.
I love the 4th Pokemon movie starring Celebi, Voice of the Forest. It's one of my favorites. |
17.
With the VC Crystal to catch Celebi and ORAS to get Deoxys, combined with Legends: Arceus, and save files of SwSh and LGPE, you could legitimately catch ‘em all in the first four generations. |
18.
Pokémon Xenoverse made a Celebi clone named Dielebi, which can travel and move things through dimensions. Said clone's existence was rendered completely redundant shortly after the fan game's release. Celebi was shown in Masters to also be able to transport people to other universes, as happened to the Team Rocket trio when Celebi took them from the Secrets of the Jungle timeline to Pasio. |
19.
I've seen the fourth movie on TV a few times. |
20.
Safe. Kicking off gen 3 with Treecko: https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/xyani/treecko.gif 10. |
11.
I love the Hoenn starters. |
10.
Possible contender for least favourite starter ever. It's not even cute in its first stage. Regardless, I know it's gonna be saved, so like with Totodile, I give just one downvote and peace out until it's time to vote on Torchic. ✌️ |
11.
I think Treecko is cute. |
12.
It was once my favorite Hoenn starter line. Although no longer in that position, I don't dislike it. |
13.
In Kanto and Johto, Ash got all the starters. In Hoenn, he just got Treecko. |
14.
It's HA is Unburden. |
15.
In Explorers of Time, Darkness, and Sky, it can be encountered in the Mystery Jungle. |
16.
Love Treecko, after choosing Charmander as my starter in gen 1 and Cyndaquil for gen 2, Treecko is the pokemon that broke the pattern of fire type pokemon i was trending towards, and made me start with grass the first time I played Emerald. I like all the Hoenn starters, but Treecko's my favorite. |
17
Not my favorite first form starter, but its line is still cool! |
18.
It evolves at level 16. |
19.
It's a good starter in the PMD games, since it can learn some nifty coverage moves by TM. |
|
11.
Grovyle is cool. |
12.
It can learn Drain Punch via TM. |
13.
It had a big role in the Explorers games. |
14.
It and it's final evo can be encountered and caught during Dynamax Adventures. |
15.
Its line appears in Pokemon Conquest. |
16.
It can learn Grassy Terrain via TM in SwSh, and via egg moves in BDSP. |
17.
Ash's Grovyle once had a crush on a Meganium. |
18.
It evolves at level 36. |
19.
Grovyle had a Special Episode in Explorers of Sky. |
|
11.
Sceptile is my second favourite Grass type starter. |
12.
It had a Mega that gained the Dragon type. |
13.
I wish it had higher Attack. |
14.
It's the only fully evolved Hoenn starter that didn't get a Dual typing. |
15.
I think it deserved a secondary typing. Either Dragon or Dark. |
16.
It learns Dual Chop upon evolution from Grovyle. |
17
It's speedy |
18.
It got a Mega Evolution in ORAS. |
19.
It's shiny is pretty standout, but I don't like it that much. |
20.
Sceptile is safe now, and Torchic is next. https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/xyani/torchic.gif 10. |
11
Cute until it evolves! |
12.
The cutest of the 3 starter base stages imo. |
13.
I love the whole Torchic line. |
Definitely among the cutest of all starter Pokémon!
14. |
15.
It is the only starter Pokémon evolutionary line in which all stages have gender differences. |
16.
Baby chick! My very first starter, to boot. |
17.
When Torchic evolves, it becomes Fire/Fighting. |
18.
It can learn Shadow Claw via TM. |
19.
It had a beta design in which it had two "crests." I like what we got in the end better. |
Super cute and my favorite starter in gen 3!
20. Combusken https://img.pokemondb.net/sprites/home/normal/combusken-f.png 10. |
11.
I like Combusken. I'll vote it up. |
I love Combusken!
12. |
13.
Combusken can learn Double Kick. |
14.
I wish they'd make more starter middle stages dual types rather than just the final evo. |
15.
They should've made Blastoise, Sceptile, Serperior, and Samurott dual types. Hell, I would've made the Johto and Galar starters dual types too. |
16.
It learns Brick Break via TM. |
17.
Its line can learn Sky Uppercut by level. |
18.
It learns Flame Charge and has Speed Boost as it's HA. |
19.
Speed Boost made its evolution too powerful for OU... until Gen 8. |
20
Blaziken 10 |
Best Speed Boost sweeper in the game!
11. |
10
Not a fan of the design between the long hair and yellow at the bottom. Looks like legwarmers rather than a fierce or fiery design. Would be hard-pressed to identify this as part of the Torchic and Combusken line without prior knowledge. |
11.
I like Blaziken. |
12.
One of my favourite Fire type starters. |
13.
Blaze Kick was it's signature move, but it became available to several other Pokemon the very next generation. |
14.
I'd rather use Blaze Kick than Flare Blitz. |
13
Eugh. Don't like him sadly. |
