Please Rate a Handicapped Trainer's Team

Alright, here's the deal. I have a team on my Fire Red Version of semi-Underused Pokemon because I love having the challenge of using something besides Starmie, Blissy, Skarmory, and others.
But there's a catch: This is a real game team, not a netbattle team. You can't tell me to change a pokemon's moves or personality as if it can be done. Only moves that they can either learn (and when I say this I mean via Mushroom Man), or I can buy, or I can win. Alright? Cool. Here they are:

Poliwrath: Naughty
Item: Guard Spec.
Moves:
Surf
Mega Kick
Blizzard (For those desprate times...)
Psycic

Charizard: Adamant
Item: King's Rock
Moves:
Dragon Claw
Fly
Over Heat
Heat Wave

Arbok: Rash
Item: Quick Claw
Moves:
Strength (Arbok's attack is actually pretty good, and IMO it's a pretty good and stable move)
Glare
Haze
Bite

Golem: Serious
Item: Quick Claw
Moves:
Fire Blast
EarthQuake
Explosion
Rock Smash -(I know, pathetic)

Tauros: Sassy
Item: Soothe Bell (You'll figure out why soon)
Moves:
Rest
Attract
Return (There it is)
Double-Edge

Jolteon: Gentle
Item: Lax Incense
Moves:
Shock Wave
Bite
Thunder
Quick Attack (Sometimes if Shockwave or Thunder ALMOST kills my opponent, they use a full restore or max potion. But if I use Quick attack first, then shock wave or thunder, I can kill them.)

Go ahead and rate. Thank you for your time!

:D That's alright Endamaster. I know it is pretty sucky.
Hmm...those are some good ideas SL. There's something pretty funny about this. I had Thunder wave before, but I got rid of it for bite. Bite for Jolteon is actually really good, it takes down Agatha's Gengars pretty simple.
I agree with Tauros, I never liked Double Edge. Where would I find the TM earthquake BTW?
Thank you VERY much for your time.

You'll receive it when you beat Giovanni ^^

Water Pokemon Master September 2nd, 2005 6:33 PM

Cool. These are some awesome ideas! I just have a few questions.
I've beaten Giovanni already...so I'm unsure where else I could get Earthquake.
How could I get Crunch?

I apologize for this little handicap I got. :D Thank you JC for your review!

jc_rcw September 2nd, 2005 6:40 PM

crunch... I don't know if there is a TM for it,maybe a movetutor

Yeah thats a good moveset.

Water Pokemon Master September 2nd, 2005 7:15 PM

uhh, I believe that Earthquake TM's ship has sailed.

Don't call me pathetic, but these are the only TMs I have in stock:

Focus Punch

Calm Mind

Roar

Hail

Bulk-Up

Sunny Day

Taunt

Light Screen

Frusteration

Reflect

Sandstorm

Torment

Rest

Snatch

:S I think I gave Earthquake to my Golem when I thought that since he was traded, he wasn't gunna learn any new moves; and I had no idea there was a Move Tutor at the time and I must have given it to him X_X. Still, thanks for the help a LOT! I am gunna see if I could get some TMs from my Sapphire version. They DO have TMs at the Game Corner right? I'm gunna check there. Thanks!

jc_rcw September 2nd, 2005 7:18 PM

I think they do go and check:)

Water Pokemon Master September 2nd, 2005 7:31 PM

Cool, I will. Thank you once again JC and SL.

Ice demon September 2nd, 2005 8:24 PM

U also have the move tutors soo...Anyway u got bad TMs...so i'm just gonna post what can work.

Poliwrath[jolly]@salac
EVs - Max Sp and Att, rest in Def
belly drum
substitute
focus punch
earthquake

Charizard[timid]@leftovers
EVs - max Sp,SpAtt,hp
fireblast
dragon claw
substitute/HP grass
sunny day

U have too many physical sweepers anyway.

Tauros[jolly]@choice band
EVs - max Att and Sp
return
earthquake
HP ghost <- use facade/iron tail if u can't get it
iron tail/facade

Horrible movepool...hence iron tail

Replace golem or arbok with a solid water type like vaporeon, milotic or suicune. Its fairly important..so

Until then -

Golem[impish]@leftovers
EVs - Def,Att,hp
earthquake
rockslide/rockblast
explosion
double edge

Arbok[jolly]@leftovers
EVs - Sp,Att,hp
sludge bomb
earthquake
rockslide
glare

BLAH!...

Jolteon[timid]@leftovers
EVs - max SpAtt and Sp,rest in whatever
thunderbolt
thunderwave/baton pass
HP grass/ice <- thats impossible to get really so try bite..
substitute/baton pass

Water Pokemon Master September 2nd, 2005 10:52 PM

Ice Demon, though I am very greatful that you replied to help, i don't think you read my first post very carefully. This isn't a Netbattle team...I don't really have that kind of power to change their stats and I'm not going to go all the way back to point "A".
And I said that I wasn't going to use terribly used pokemon, which is why I use Arbok, Tauros, and Golem.
Thanks for the info anyway :D

CyBeastSaber September 3rd, 2005 12:17 AM

Water Pkmn Master. About the EQ TM, you can't get it in sapphire in the Game Corner. The only Tm's are these:
Tm 29: Psychic
Tm 32: Double Team
Tm 24:T.Bolt
Tm 13:I.Beam
and Tm 35:F.Thrower

Too bad.

Water Pokemon Master September 3rd, 2005 11:47 AM

Yeah, too bad. You can say THAT again. But...dig is always the next best thing. Then after that...
I'm gunna go study up on ground type moves, and see which ones are the strongest after earthquake.

Ice demon September 3rd, 2005 4:15 PM

How exactly do u not have the power?
If u have the game u can alter ur EV distributions accordingly..Its done all the time.

Tauros is an amazing pokemon...Whoever said it wasn't?I just said its movepool was bad.Its arbok that sucks...Golem is an ok UU pokemon.

U need a pokemon with icebeam if u want to beat the E4, so either get a water pokemon [added bonus of also getting a STABed surf] or catch articuno.

Water Pokemon Master September 3rd, 2005 7:24 PM

Well, surprisingly enough, these pokemon beat the pokemon league for me, and I'm all done with the game (except for the pokedex) ;;;^_^;;;
I thought you could only EV train pokemon when they're all young and low levelled...
My pokemon's average level is around 75....

Karasuma September 3rd, 2005 7:28 PM

So your saying you won the PL with a squirtle?

Water Pokemon Master September 3rd, 2005 7:33 PM

Uhh....no. A Charizard, plus my other 5 pokemon I just said...

Ice demon September 3rd, 2005 7:46 PM

well now that u tell us the level...something that u failed to do before.
I'm not surprised u beat the E4 then...high levels conquor all ingame.
Have fun playing.Buh bye to this thread......

Water Pokemon Master September 4th, 2005 12:22 PM

<smacks head> Dangit. I should of known that. I feel like a complete n00b.
So since they're that old...am I outta lucK?
