your best way to catch pokemon.

my best way is to hold (B) right before all the stars come out of the ball after u through it.
(It realy works, i caught a kyogre at 1/2 hp doing this!)

Squeegee Beckenheim September 21st, 2005 2:23 AM

No, sorry nothing like that works. That is completely coinsidence. I cannot tell you how many times people have said, "I caught Kyogre with a PokeBall at full HP!" It is really luck and blessing.

.::Tsunami::. September 21st, 2005 2:25 AM

i just catch em no pertucular way^_^

kohei September 21st, 2005 3:04 AM

But if it is my last Pokeball, I usually put my GBA on the sofa and pray.

Of course it doesn't raise the chances though :P

I think a better for for "coincidence" is "psychological." I'm baffled at why Nintendo is leading people on with this stuff.

And yes...praying works also. XD

Virtual Chatot September 22nd, 2005 12:07 AM

I dont think God, Butah, Islam, Mickey mouse, will grant digital prayers :-)

I have tried the B button and it seems to work but really it dosen't. It used to work in Pokemon GSC, i heard it raised your chances by 10%. Like the normal game would be 50% by 50%, but by pressing B you would have a 60% by 40%

Dee Trier September 22nd, 2005 12:15 AM

Read book or newspaper after few time see if it success or failure. Its not raise the chance but i like to do another thing beside watch the ball.

Hinoshi-chan September 22nd, 2005 12:39 AM

Presseing the b button and down for some reason is good luck for me

Dee Trier September 22nd, 2005 12:55 AM

There is no evidence that press B will raise up the Chance (if you say you capture [pokemon name especially legendary] with full hp its just "coincidence", because i also once catch Rayquaza with full hp and with a pokeball in first try without B button)

Steven Hughes September 22nd, 2005 1:24 AM

i press and hold the A button immedieatly when the ball closes. don't know if it works, but i still will do it anyway. (a habbit of doing it for years.)

Shiny Meganium September 25th, 2005 5:53 AM

For years now, I have held A+Down. It doesn't work but it's a habit.

Source September 25th, 2005 8:55 AM

Thunderbolt, pray, throw pokeball/greatball/etc., pray again while rapidly pounding on the (A) button. Dunno about the (A) button thing, though...Habit, pure habit. ^^

~Amethyst_Callista_Moon~ September 25th, 2005 1:37 PM

I throw the (Poke/Great/Ultra) Ball at the pokemon, and press Down, B, Left, and Right. I was succsessful.

Chryo Sphere September 25th, 2005 1:47 PM

I am confused with my game though. I catch Kyogre with 1 try. Groudon 2 tries, both with max HP. But Rayquaza, the 3 regis I just cant catch! I have even tried them with 1 HP (False swipe) While sleeping!! Still can't catch with Ultra ball. I have one explanation... my game's glitched @[email protected]

Joe_the_evilfox September 25th, 2005 2:15 PM

I hold up and B when the ball appears and hold A when the pokemon is in the ball. I dont know why I do this but I just do >_>

ninjazakku September 28th, 2005 1:37 PM

I always keep on attacking it till the color of it's power changes to red... it always works!

kohei September 29th, 2005 3:44 AM

I discovered a new technique.
I usually threaten my GBA before I throw a Pokeball... and it sorta seems to work... lol

DARK MIGHTY LATIAS September 30th, 2005 8:24 PM

These dont work 100% of course but mine are best to me. Heres 2 of em

Hold A+B+L+R just until the pokeball is about to shake

Or L when the pokeball hits the pokemon, R when it shakes half way not once, then quickly turn over to L again and repeat this until it stops shaking. Just my ways of catching pokemon...

Cidinho Faulk October 1st, 2005 11:17 AM

same of Steven Hughes, 3 years doing that.. its a habit from poke red :P

Ralts October 4th, 2005 12:58 AM

My best way to catch pokemon......

My best way is keep giving damage to it until the hp is less than 1/3 (The Color is turned Yellow) and give it status problem. For best chance, give 'em status "Paralyzed" by using thunderwave, or whatever... then use pokeball, greatball, or ultraball..... and I never push anything while the pokeballs bouncing..... :D

azn_trainer October 4th, 2005 1:12 AM

my style is buy a hole lot of pokeballs, ultraballs and timerball(only do when trying to catch legenary) weaken the pokemon use all pokeballs and ultraballs and use timerballs last it usaslly works. but it wast alot of money but i've got heaps.

Agent9 October 4th, 2005 8:41 AM

I just toss balls. it'll go in sooner or later.

Actually that hppened to me too. Hunk is either right, or Kyogre is real easy to catch.
(Same with Groudon)

Synchronize January 8th, 2006 9:48 AM

It's just coincidence, I'm sorry. Nothing like that really works. Makes us feel more confident to do it, so of course nothing's wrong with it, but in the end it's all up to status, health, and randomness.

Dark Spectrum January 8th, 2006 9:53 AM

Yeah it is. Nintendo wouldn't do something like that.
