How does Nintendo hide this kind of stuff!?

Ark Kuvis October 4th, 2005 10:29 AM

it's a fake pic.
Doesn't take a genuis to figure that out -_-

Hinoshi-chan October 4th, 2005 10:40 AM

same as up there, its really baddlly faked >_<

Though its a funny idea lol

Allstories October 4th, 2005 12:06 PM

Starfox in Zelda 64 (fo' real)

The hilarious thing is, it's NOT a fake. I know this because I just managed to pull it off with a Zelda 64 ROM.

I only managed to get it to work with the Japanese version so far since I don't know much about how gamesharks work or anything. These are the codes as they were listed on the site I got them from:

OoT (europe) PAL V1.0
81242e26 0009
81242eb4 013b
81242ec2 0000

OoT (europe) PAL V1.1
8124b456 0009
8124b4e4 013b
8124b4f2 0000

OoT (US) NTSC V1.0
81244096 0009
81244124 013b
81244132 0000

OoT US V1.1 [corrected!]
Kokiri boy lifting rock
81244236 0009
812442c4 013b
812442d2 0000

OoT US V1.2 [corrected!]
Kokiri boy lifting rock
81244716 0009
812447a4 013b
812447b2 0000

This was probably just some sort of test object by the programmers, but it shoots you and has sound effects and everything. Anyway, as Dash was saying before he was so rudely discredited, how does Nintendo hide something like this for so long? It's like Stop N' Swap all over again.

My BS meter is going off...

TRIFORCE89 October 4th, 2005 12:25 PM

I've read many things about Zelda and gameshark, I've read many sites full of codes. Theese have never showed up, and even after searching for them, nothing.

I'm locking this now (again). Send my a PM full of information and sites on this and I may reconsider.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
And...he did. And, it checks out. O_o My question is...why is there an arwing tucked away in OoT? And not just a model, but a fully functional arwing. ???

OoT was originally based off of Super Mario 64's engine, but I've never heard anything about Starfox 64.

Here's a 2 MB GIF for those of which who are skeptical.

Woah! That's strange.I'm with you on this one Triforce89,how could Nintendo do that!?

Chairman Kaga October 4th, 2005 3:23 PM

All I can say is that it's time for me to get an N64 Gameshark off ebay o_o;

So...erm...is there a Navi description of it when it's targeted? Or can you only see it previous to your acquisition of Navi?

TRIFORCE89 October 4th, 2005 3:28 PM

I don't think so. I've read the OoT text dump too many times to count. Never mentioned an Arwing.

Umbreon's Shadow October 5th, 2005 2:01 AM

Maybe they were just testing the engine, not wanting to be an Arwing, and check its abilities.Or maybe this was a secret thing, legal or not,or an Arwing or not.

The Dash October 5th, 2005 7:00 AM

Yeah just so you know I kinda took that pic from AllStories on another BB ;)

Recknin October 6th, 2005 10:46 AM

wow what the heck [short m]

bna_li October 6th, 2005 10:49 AM

How could that happen? The video is compelling...

Hinoshi-chan October 6th, 2005 10:50 AM

Im sorry for saying it was a fake O_O there brilliant, im going to try that now

=3 its a great lil code, thanks lol
Lol, its kinda sad though XD

bna_li October 6th, 2005 10:52 AM

What about the video though...

The S October 6th, 2005 6:31 PM

I'm left wondering if that can be uncovered on the Gamecube version (the one with Master Quest), because I am SO not blowing dough on the N64 version just to check the code.

Recknin October 8th, 2005 7:14 AM

that looks realy fake i dont know if its true

Esupio October 10th, 2005 7:38 AM

yeah and Nintendo are known for easter eggs or just testing stuff in other games I think XD

FireEmporer October 10th, 2005 8:17 AM

I'd love to know if you can kill this, or otherwise interact with it. I'm not wasting my money just to see it if you can't, but if it's a real enemy.... *Takes out wallet*

dude the pic is fake and even if
you use a gameshark that will
not hapen

Makoto October 10th, 2005 10:41 AM

weird..... Here's an idea! simply hack a slingshot into the game, and attack it with that. Although I still think it was just an Easter Egg that people take way out of proportions(i.e. Truck in R/B/Y/FR/LG).

I could always be wrong, though!

Zero ex October 10th, 2005 4:49 PM

Well it seems really fake. If I see a real video, then i can be convinced.

My older brother know how to make those 2.mb videos, they are easy, and they could see real.

I have search for info. in many pages and did not found anything of this.

Allstories October 10th, 2005 5:43 PM

Alright. I managed to kill it by using a code for all items. I just nailed it with a boomerang. It dies after like two or three hits, then it sorta crashes and explodes into this red, fiery cloud sort of thing. It's kinda awesome. I couldn't get any information on it from Navi, however. Though, I'm not really surprised.

Your Ignorance amazes me. If you paid any attention, you'd know it worked.
