I'll Croconaw probaly. Only if it will learn a strong ice attack to kill grass types and earthquake to kill electric types so that about covers up all its weakness.

Bayleef! Although Quilava rox, I still like Bayleef best. I really don't know why, maybe it has to do with the fact that in my Silver, he was my starter, and still is. My VERY first starter.

First Let Me Clear This Up You Can Only Get TWO Of The Starter Pokemon I Have The Offical Nintendo Guide And I Have Done Research You Get One At The Beginning (Your Chocie) And One At The end (I Think Its Your Chocie But I Am Not 100% Positive)
For Me Bayleef In The Beginning And Quilava At The End(Feraligator Looks Stupid In 3D)Reason For Bayleef I LOVE IT!!!! Its The Only Qute Grass Type And Its Powerful! |

I think I'll pick Quilava when I get to get the game. I also like the other two so I don't really know but I think I'll pick Quilava first.
|
I also have the Nintendo Official Guide. You can catch all 3. You probably read it wrongly.

I wanted Croconaw but I fought with the guy that had Bayleef
now Im stuck with bayleef until the end of the game |
I took Bayleef because the only other grass type you get for a while is skoploom and i hate the whole skiploom family. Plus the johto starters all werent as great as the Hoenn and Kanto starters IMO so i didnt really matter to me.
|
I chose on Quilava, mainly because I knew I would eventually get all three and Typhlosion is the best-looking of the three.

I will take Bayleef. Just to exclude Crocanaw, i hate that Grrararg thing!

Bayleef!!!The grass type!!!
The pokemon with a strong will like me! XD It's effective against rock type, water type and sometimes against elettric type! I don't like croconaw, but I love Feraligatr!!! @[email protected] |
The best one to get is Bayleef, you can get strong water Pokemon like Mantine or Quagsire, and Entei as your fire. Skiploom is one of the few grass Pokemon that is "snagable" in the game. But I picked Quilava, he's fire, I love fire.
Gender Ratio for Bayleef, Quilava, and Croconaw: 87.5% Male 12.5% Female |
Mwahahahaha.. Croconaw rawks =3 Its the strongest (attack) of the three starter pokemon. Besides, its moves are not bad at all =D

Meganium Base Stats: HP: 80 Att: 82 Def: 100 Spd: 80 Sp Att: 83 Sp Def: 100 Base Stat Total: 525 Typhlosion Base Stats: HP: 78 Att: 84 Def: 78 Spd: 100 Sp Att: 109 Sp Def: 85 Base Stat Total: 534 Feraligatr Base Stats: HP: 85 Att: 105 Def: 100 Spd: 78 Sp Att: 79 Sp Def: 83 Base Stat Total: 530 Sure Typhlosion has the largest Base Stat total, but can he actually use his stats effectively? Typhlosion isn’t used very often in Ru/Sa (Yes, I will admit I have used a Gameshark to allow me to capture Typhlosion, but I don’t really consider it cheating), since he can’t learn the the punches like in GSC. It has a very little variety of moves it can learn now, and not many moves to make use of that fantastic Special Attack stat. All of it’s other stats are good, but nothing special. Typhlosion is the worst out of the GSC starters, no doubt. Meganium on the other hand, is more much more useful. Like a lot of Grass types, it has an unusually high defense stat. It’s other stats aren’t too shabby either. Meganium is great for Pseudopassing, as it learns very good moves in that variety. It can also be used for sweeping. It has average, not too bad stats, but I don’t like sweeping with it because it’s Special Attack and Speed isn’t that high. Also try: Feraligatr. He’s just as useful. If you want me to give a description for him, PM me. |
What you should choose.
Any one you want, because it's possible to get all three of them.I have all three and their all purified and evollved. If that weren't enough they're all level 100!
