Square Enix - The Best of the Best...What's your favorite game of theirs?

I love Square Enix (formerly Square Soft). Their graphics amaze me, their storylines rock, and the music is usually amazing. While I know they don't create the storylines and music on their own their graphics are still their own.
My favorite game they have done is totally Kingdom Hearts (sequal in December! Ee!), and Final Fantasy X & X-2. What about you?

Thomas October 5th, 2005 5:25 PM

Mine is Full Metal Alchemist for PS2...I am pretty sure it is by them.

Zero ex October 5th, 2005 5:50 PM

Square-enix: Star ocean till the end.
Squaresoft: Final fantasy 7, the best game i have ever played in my whole life.

Out of the theme. Did you know that square enix is the joining of Enix and squaresoft. The first 2 star oceans were from Enix, not from square.

Square-Enix owns the rights to all SquareSoft games(unless sold away) and all Enix games too, so your latter part of your post essentially means nothing.

And my favorite Square-Enix game is Final Fantasy VII. Because I find Cloud's past and the Nibelhiem incident interesting, Crisis Core- Final Fantasy VII(PSP, 2006) may top it, but that is yet to be decided.

Let's see...
Terranigma (Made by Enix back in the SNES days), Romancing SaGa 3, Final Fantasy VI (SNES version), Chrono Trigger (SNES version) and Rudora no Hihou.

I saw FF7 crisis core trailer, it seems to be a anime. I think i downloaded it in www.rpgfan.com or it was www.rpggamer.com It was between those. But with luck, they will only be the special videos.

Yep, the Full Metal Alchemist game is by Square Enix. ^^ Wow guys, you know way more about Square Enix then I do, I knew it was the merging of two companies but I don't know which games are by who before they joined. I think another great game by them is Star Ocean: Til the End of Time as someone else mentioned earlier. ^^

In my opinion, nothing Square Enix has ever made (aside from the four games themselves) or will ever make will come close being as good as Final Fantasy V, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, and Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Well, to tell the truth, Dragon Warrior VIII doesn't look too shabby, so that might be almost as good as those.

Arcanine October 6th, 2005 5:38 PM

Final Fantasy X
I love that game and it's story line and everything. It's also my second fav game of all time. I wish they would make more sequels of it.
It's the only game I wish I could forget and play like it was the first time.

MystiKal October 6th, 2005 5:44 PM

My favorites from them would have to be Chrono Trigger and Parasite Eve.

That's not game footage, unless it's an ingame movie.
Currently we have yet to see any gameplay screens.

Pretty Boy Sean October 7th, 2005 5:14 PM

Squaresoft: Final Fantasy: Tactics

Square-Enix: Front Mission 4

RoxasOld October 7th, 2005 5:54 PM

Definately Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Chain Of Memories, and Final Fantasy VIII

Rukia October 8th, 2005 12:41 AM

My favorite Square game is Chrono Cross. I had so much fun playing that game. It's one of the best games i've played.

pika57 October 8th, 2005 3:50 AM

Kingdom hearts...... might help if i'd played any of there other games but kingdom hearts is great anyway.

kohei October 8th, 2005 4:58 AM

Saga Frontier is the best Square game I played.

I feel that games made by Square-Enix is quite sloppy these days, compaired to the older games they made.

Smarties-chan October 8th, 2005 5:11 AM

My favourite game of all times is Final Fantasy 7. Chrono trigger is a great game too.

Keitaro October 12th, 2005 3:25 AM

Final Fantasy 7 for me, it was just such a good game to experience and the lego-ish style characters made it all the more fun!

Hehe.... I love the fact that Bowser joins your party in that game. It's quite different from any other Mario game, even its sucessors, Paper Mario 1 and 2, and Mario and Luigi, all of which just weren't quite as good as SMRPG.

Bowser and Mario side by side.....^^ awesomeness.

SBaby October 12th, 2005 10:38 AM

Ah, Mario RPG. In my opinion, the best RPG that features Mario.

Let's see... I'd go with FFVII, hands down as my favorite Square game.

For Square-Enix, I'd have to say Star Ocean: Til the End of Time.

keechi October 20th, 2005 5:14 PM

Kingdom Hearts Kingdom Hearts. Can't wait till' Feb.2nd!!!!!!

Bomberman October 22nd, 2005 9:13 AM

Final Fantasy VIII [PS1]
Super Mario RPG [SNES]

That's all I can think of right now X_x
