What are the best Pokemon for EV training?

So what are the best pokemon to go against while EV training in FR and LG? For R/S/E attack i'd say charvana. It's easy to find and kill. But i have yet to find one for attack in FR and LG though i must admit i haven't looked too hard. Post the pokemon and the stat it's good for.

Well...usually I'd say go look in the FAQ, but I don't think anything has been written for EVs for FRLG yet. Sooooo...

Here the common Pokemon with decent amounts of EVs.

HP: Slowpoke (1, LG only), Caterpie (1), Grimer (1, Try Cinnabar Mansion)

Attack: Doduo (1), Krabby (1), Gyarados (2, Fish [Super Rod] for it. Try Vermillion.), Ekans (1, FR only), Mankey (1), Bellsprout (1, LG only)

Defense: Geodude (1), Graveler (2), Cubone (1), Koffing (1)

Special Attack: Oddish (1, FR only), Magnemite (1), Magneton (2, Try the Cerulean Cave), Gastly (1), Haunter (2)

Special Defense: Venonat (1), Tentacool (1), Tentacruel (2)

Speed: Spearow (2), Zubat (1), Diglett (1), Dugtrio (2), Psyduck (1), Poliwag (1), Poliwhirl (2, Try Six Island)

Well, the best spots for ev training are:

HP: Dunsparce found in three isle port. Encounter rate 100%

Attack: Paras found on the last floor of MT moon. Encounter rate 100%

Defense: Tangela found in the grass patch near pallet town (not on route 1, on the little island thingy about 5 squares south from palle town) encounter rate 100%

Speed: Diglett and dugtrio found in the diglett's cave. Encounter rate for diglett 95% and for dugtrio 5%

SP Attack: Gastly and haunter found in the pokemon tower in lavender town. Encounter rate for gastly 60% and for haunter 6%

SP Defense: Hoppip, Tentacool and Tentacruel found around the memorial pillar, don't know the encounter rates, but they are the only pokemon found around the memorial pillar so ev training will be easy.

You should go get the macho brace, after you beat giovanni talk to him and he'll dissappeare, use the itemfinder where he stood and you'll get the macho brace wich doubles the amount of EVs you gain.

I can't believe this hasn't been mentioned yet. The easiest spot to gather up Speed EVs in FR/LG is by far the very first route! Both Pidgey and Rattata give Speed EVs and they are ridiculously easy to beat since the toughest you get is a few stray level 5 Pidgeys so even the most noobish low-level pokémon should have no problems fighting there.

hey wot about digglies 4 speed evs heh...? last year i was training against digglies then i accidently got a shiny 1!!

Digletts cave is easy if u are training grass/flying types. Well the easiest pokemon to train is Shedinja. Levels up easily. And fighting against Dunsparce takes a long time to level up just like fighting against a Magikarp.

and where exactly u r going 2 find shedinja? trainers with vs. seeker, u have 2 run 100 steps and if theyre not ready u have 2 run another 100 steps its really annoying re vs.ing trainers using vs.seeker

You can't find sheja, but trading is the only way to get it.
