^Crap, Don't teach a pokemon 2 HMs unless they are both good or the pokemon you dont use except when the HM is needed.

Zapdos - lv 67

Nature - Relaxed

Thunder Bolt
Shock Wave
Fly
Drill Peck
^Not Bad.

Thanks

Changes in Bold. Try and not teach the pokemon 2 of the same type moves. It isn't very good, but it is alright here and there.

Not including my suggestions, I would say: 6/10.

Alter Ego October 15th, 2005 5:05 AM

Johnny-Chan, what's with this strange perversion you have of calling everything you see great? <_< I'm sorry, but these movests...they're quite shabby in my opinon. Improvement suggestions in bold. Moves that I definitely don't think should be there are overlined.

Blizzard Water Pulse
Steel wing Reflect
Fly Hidden Power [Grass]/Rain Dance/Toxic
Ice Beam

Reflect combined with Articuno's high defense stat covers up for its x4 Rock weakness. Water Pulse is there to properly damage Fire and Rock types and Hidden Power [Grass] provides increased type coverage. Failing that, Rain Dance makes Water Pulse stronger and Toxic is always a worthwhile weakener.

Hypno lv 58

Nature - Brave

Hypnosis/Thunder Wave
Focus Punch/Brick Break
Dream Eater Shadow Ball
Psychic/Psych Up

Focus Punch is strong and all, but Brick Break is more reliable. The choice between Thunder Wave and Hypnosis is a matter of taste. Thunder Wave hits far more often and does give you a significant boost, but you can never know if the opponent is fully paralyzed or not so using Focus Punch becomes a matter of luck. Psychic is all well and good, although Psych Up could give you an edge against buffers.

Gyarados lv 60

Nature - Jolly

Fire Blast Earthquake
Thunder Hidden Power [Flying]/Return
Hyber Beam Dragon Dance
Surf Thunder Wave/Rest

So horribly wrong. Gyarados' Sp.Attack is lousy and the Jolly nature makes it even worse. Plus, Hyper Beam is pathetic. Proper physical attacks are the way to go.

Beedrill lv 62

Nature - Jolly

Aerial Ace
Twineedle
Cut Sludge Bomb
Solarbeam Swords Dance

Beedrill is a rather weak pokémon, but that doesn't mean it's worthless. This moveset needs some improvements though. Solarbeam without Sunny Day is a waste of turns especially with Beedrill's low Sp.Attack (Further decreased by the Jolly nature) Again, physical attacks are the way to go. And Cut should never be given to any pokémon you actually use. There are HM slaves for that stuff.

Venusaur - lv 63

Nature - Relaxed

Strength Sludge Bomb (Unless used on Beedrill)/Body Slam/Return
Razor leaf/Earthquake (Unless used on Gyarados)
Frenzy Plant Leech Seed
Rock smash Sleep Powder

Strenght and Rock Smash are both HM moves that should never be used in movesets due to the simple fact that there are better substitutes for them out there. Seeing as how Earthquake would already go to Gyarados I'd suggest giving this one Body Slam or Return, both of which are better than Strength. Also, Leech Seed is your friend. You should never discard it, ever.

Zapdos - lv 67

Nature - Relaxed

Thunder Bolt
Shock Wave Hidden Power [Grass/Ice/Water]/Light Screen
Fly Thunder Wave
Drill Peck

Placing in two moves of the same type is a waste of moveset space. Drill Peck > Fly and Thunderbolt > Shock Wave so Shock Wave and Fly have to go. Hidden Power is once again there to provide type coverage, but if you don't get a favourable type to it then Light Screen can help you keep Zapdos alive a bit longer. Thunder Wave is there much for the same reason as paralysis is a considerable advantage in battle that shouldn't be underestimated.

Thanks

You made Venasuar look really bad.

Zapdos - lv 67

All in all, it was a really bad team. I didn't even bother to change the Natures because you're probally in-game, and wouldn't even bother to change them.

By the way, Ham you didn't have much to say either. It doesn't look good to contradict yourself (I'm not trying to get people mad at me, or trying to start a Flame War).

Smarties-chan October 15th, 2005 7:42 AM

I'm sorry to say this, but this needs alot of work

You should use Alter ego's set for this one

Hypno lv 58

Nature - Brave

Hypnosis Thunder wave/Toxic
Focus Punch Fire punch/ Brick break (this depends on wether you have the possibility to trade between LG and Emerald)
Dream Eater Shadow ball/Reflect
Psychic

Gyarados lv 60

Fire Blast
Thunder
Hyber Beam
Surf

Use ego's set for this one too

Beedrill lv 62

Nature - Jolly

Aerial Ace
Twineedle
Cut
Solarbeam

The old set was a big no-no, once again use ego's set.

Venusaur - lv 63

Nature - Relaxed

Strength Sludge bomb/Earthquake/Body slam/Return
Razor leaf Leech seed
Frenzy Plant Sleep powder
Rock smash
Sludge bomb/Earthquake/Body slam/Return

*NOTE* Do not give both body slam and return, just one of them.

Thunder Bolt
Shock Wave Hidden power [Ice/Grass]
Fly Light screen/Substiute/Thunder wave
Drill Peck

Thanks
