Psychic*Absol February 15th, 2007 10:21 AM

Oh, I didn't know that. I really want to find out what she's doing there, so maybe I could find clues if the otehr gym leaders might play a role again, too. ^.~
Generally, I like to use all gym leaders in my fanfics because they're well known. All gym leaders in one place, like a meeting or tournament, is the best because that's when they have to interact =3.

Crazy Packers Fan February 15th, 2007 12:29 PM

Oops... I guess I spoiled it for you... then again, we won't know that much until we get to actually play the game anyway.

I like to use mainly gym leaders too in my fanfics, mainly because I like their personalities more than those of the "main" characters of the anime. I'm used to writing tournaments, because I previously wrote quite a few competition-based fanfics for a Super Mario Bros. site, so I of course had to squeeze one into my first Pokemon fanfic.

(Sorry for going off-topic...)

Psychic*Absol February 17th, 2007 9:45 AM

That's no problem. I don't plan to buy D/P anyway...

^^ I also have a big tournament in my fanfic. The league's searching for a new elite four because Bruno's quitting and well, since they got first Koga (gym leader) and then Karen& Will ('normal' trainers) in my fanfic, they're now going again for a gym leader. And guess who wins. ^.~
(I have to admit, my tournament battles almost look boring compared to others...I'm not that good writing Pokemon battles...)

(I don't think we're that much offtopic..we're still talking about the gym leaders and Sabrina's a gym leader, right?)

Crazy Packers Fan February 18th, 2007 4:01 PM

I could see Sabrina as an Elite Four trainer, if she wanted to pursue that. She could certainly wipe out someone like Bruno with no problem, and most likely she would beat everyone in the Elite Four. Of course, it depends on what circumstances that are required to join the Elite, which aren't ever really defined in any of the games.

Psychic*Absol February 20th, 2007 9:33 AM

The Elite four probably choose their new members themselves and I think they would find Sabrina worthy (especially Will, hehe...). But in the end it depends on if she really wants to leave Saffron City...
(BTW, nice new chapter. ^.~)

Crazy Packers Fan February 20th, 2007 9:41 AM

Yeah, I think Sabrina would want to stay in Saffron City rather than joining the Elite... I think she would feel more comfortable at her gym.

Thanks... I actually completed the story last week, at 20 chapters, but I've chosen to put up two chapters per week.

Psychic*Absol February 21st, 2007 12:17 PM

Isn't the Indigo Plateau just a small village if not less? I don't think someone who comes from the big city (Saffron) would feel comfortable there...
Whoa, it's already complete? ^^ That's great! But only twenty chapters? Will there be another sequel? XD

Crazy Packers Fan February 21st, 2007 2:19 PM

Yeah, I didn't even think about the size difference between Indigo Plateau and Saffron City... I guess I always think about the size of the cities in the games, which isn't to scale... no one could walk through a huge city like Saffron in 20 steps! Also, considering I have Sabrina as the heir of a rich family, I don't think she'd rather go to a smaller place.

Yeah, there has to be another "true" sequel... once I got later in the story, I couldn't find a way to connect all the characters like I did the first time, which means several characters I used a lot were relegated to cameos or totally absent. I thought that I would be better off finishing this story and writing another one rather than trying to add in a completely new storyline.

Psychic*Absol February 22nd, 2007 10:25 AM

The elite four live literally in the mountains, far away from any other big city. We didn't get to see much from Indigo Plateau in the anime, if I remember correctly, but it wasn't nearly as big as Saffron. I live in a small village myself, but I know from friends who lived in big citys and later moved to the countryside that they found it pretty boring...
Well, she stil has her parents who can care for the house, and I bet that the elite four also don't live in small apartements, but rather in big houses...

^^ It's nice to hear that there will be another sequel! I love sequels (my own story has like four sequels...originally, I planned none. XD)! I also loved how you connected the different storylines in the original story, so I hope you'll manage that again.

Espy Psyche February 22nd, 2007 10:58 AM

Any of you ever been to PokeRealm? In our community project, Pokemon Topaz, Sabrina is one of the Elite Four!

Own++?

Crazy Packers Fan February 22nd, 2007 1:02 PM

That's cool that you have her as an Elite Four member. She's certainly a gym leader I can see being powerful enough to become an Elite Four member.

Although, I think Sabrina's very attached to her hometown and wouldn't want to leave... which is why she sort of forced Will to leave the Elite in my fanfic.

I've started to come up with ideas for my next sequel, which I think will connect the characters again... and certainly Sabrina will have to play a big part in it.

Psychic*Absol February 24th, 2007 10:00 AM

Yeah, when Bruno retires in my fanfic, she comes in. Strongest gym leader next to Clair and Giovanni, but Giovanni suddenly dissappeared  and Clair was beaten by Sabrina. ^^

Well...I had the same problem in my fanfic, but I sorta covered it by Lance and most of the other characters forcing her to leave. XD

^^ *simply happy* I have so many ideas what could happen in your fanfic, but it would be rude if I started directing your story. XD

Crazy Packers Fan February 24th, 2007 10:38 AM

I think she'd really be missed by Saffron citizens if she left... she's got to be pretty famous in her hometown, being the gym leader of that huge city.

I'd love to hear any ideas you have... I can't guarantee I'd put everything in the story, but there's a good possibility...

Psychic*Absol February 25th, 2007 10:10 AM

*grins evily* Pretty famous yes...but maybe they're also scared of her because of what she did. Maybe they even want her to go...?

*smile* Well, I had the idea of one of the older couples (maybe even Sabrina and Will) marrying, but that will probably be in the future. They have to get to know each other better first. The same with my idea of one of the couples having children. XD All way too much into the future, but that's how I write fanfiction. ^^;;; Chapter 2- 6 years after the first one, Chapter 3- half a year after the second one...XD
Or (simple idea) you could show how Tate's doing alone. That would really interest me. ^^

Crazy Packers Fan February 25th, 2007 10:41 AM

Yeah, I didn't think of that... considering how she destroyed her house, maybe people would be scared she destroy something else.

I'll have to make sure to show what is going on with Tate in the next story. I actually try not to go too far forward in time in my stories; I don't know, I guess I don't like extreme changes... plus I like the ages that most of the characters are at now.

Psychic*Absol February 26th, 2007 9:48 AM

Not only that. Sabrina turned trainers into dolls, but the citizens never saw what really happened to them, they just noticed that they dissappeared when they got to the gym...

^^ That's good, I already started to miss him (today's chapter was also great...I feel sorry for Gold. ;-;).
Well...I'm always going for complete fanfics, so I show the whole life of a character. Aging included.

Crazy Packers Fan February 26th, 2007 10:55 AM

That makes me wonder why Sabrina's father saved Ash, Misty and Brock when they were turned into dolls, but not his own wife... maybe it had something to do with the type of dolls they were, as in the second episode they couldn't move, while they could in the first episode.

Thanks again... I didn't focus too much on Hoenn this time (besides Liza), but I'm planning on featuring them a lot more in the sequel.

buster_wolf February 27th, 2007 7:32 AM

I need to contribute again darnit. XD Anyway, a picture is worth a 1000 words, so I guess I drew the kid of Sabrina.... though my concept seems a little off. XD I made her look too innocent. (and looks too much like Mai from Kanon)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v135/thefinalfrontier/kodomonatsume001.jpg

Psychic*Absol February 27th, 2007 11:32 AM

..I never thought about that, but you're right, why didn't he save her? Didn't he know that his own wife was held captive? Did he think she was dead or something? He didn't look surprised at the end, when she stood there with him and Sabrina.
Or maybe he had other reasons for not saving her... *coughcoughanotherwomancoughcough*

I'm not a big Hoenn Fan. I only care about some nice characters who live in Hoenn and you can guess which characters. :P

Her kid? Buster_wolf, you're a genius! ^_^ I ALWAYS wanted to see how her kid might look like (my own tries were...horrible, to say the least)! *saves picture* Too innocent? Why should the little girl not be innocent? Like mother like daughter, you say? XD
Wasn't this a request of mine...? Nevermind...

Crazy Packers Fan February 27th, 2007 12:13 PM

Very cute picture... I don't think there's anything wrong with her looking innocent, either.

He didn't want to be recognized as Sabrina's father by Ash, and he didn't seem like he even wanted to associate with Sabrina... maybe he was scared of her, although he had his own psychic powers.

Psychic*Absol February 28th, 2007 10:08 AM

Two arguments against that: First, if he doesn't want to be recognised as Sabrina's father, why did he freak out when Ash was too stupid to notice that? Second: He did care much for his daughter and I bet he did want to bring her back. He seemed quite hopeful at the end of the first episode, when he was standing on that tree and watched Ash...

Crazy Packers Fan February 28th, 2007 11:19 AM

True... I guess he was just one of those characters who did some stupid things, such as forgetting about his wife. I made him very caring about Sabrina in my fanfic anyway... so I guess what I said before didn't make much sense.

Psychic*Absol March 1st, 2007 10:43 AM

XD Yeah, he is a little bit weird. Probably runs in his family. XD I don't think he completely forgot about his wife...there might be something else. Maybe (farfetched theory)Sabrina didn't want her mother to leave and stopped her father from saving her...

Crazy Packers Fan March 1st, 2007 3:52 PM

Something that's a little interesting is that Sabrina's father is psychic, while her mother (I assume) is not, but she's more powerful of a psychic than he is. I would expect someone to be more powerful than their parents if they had psychics for both parents, but I guess Sabrina's the exception.

Psychic*Absol March 2nd, 2007 11:35 AM

Yeah, I also noticed that. But I think there's a difference between what 'level' of power (In my fanfic, I call it 'potential') a person has when it is born and what is added after training. And since Sabrina trained hard and started very early, she's now that strong. Of course, that's only my theory. ^^
