Help! My game just got all mixed up!
Ok, I've had yellow for years now, but I dont think that is why it mucked up. I dont think its missingno ether, because I havent seen one never mind caught one. And it is not my game boy advance SP because every other game works fine on it. Heres a few examples of whats happining:
1) All my pokemon have all got names like ?????? or no name at all. 2) Some are level 0. And some are over lv100 but when I take them out of the PC they are back to ether lv 0 or normal. 3) When I try to withdraw them the screen sometimes just goes blank. 4) Sometimes when I try to view the pokemon's summary while it is in the PC the screen goes blank and the GBA plays the pokeflute tune-(quite funny really-lol!) 5) Sometimes the pictures of the pokemon go all fuzzy and mixed up - especially when I turn and talk to Chou-my pikachu. So any ideas of why this is happening? Has this happened to anyone else? |
Odd... Did you catch missingno.? That might be the problem.
|
no- I havent even seen one!
|
Oh. Then that's weird. I've never encountered a problem like that.
|
Have you cheated on it? Cheating can cause odd glitches. It's definately not your Gameboy-that wouldn't happen.
|
I dont think I cheated on it ever...but I completed it once and thats where the problem started. I remember! The first ever sign of it being mixed up was when my Butterfree got to lv 100. A short while after that the game started again! I was really upset! But then, after the second time it started again...the weird things started to happen....
|
May be that it is telling you to catch MEW.
Or mayby that your game is messed up. |
that happend to someone else,u tried to clone a pokemon and then got it to L100 and changed it movesets, that what hapend to ma pal but he tried to clone missigno
|
I didnt even know about cloning the last time I played on it!
|
That happened to my brother's Yellow Version, Jake... it died. ._. *sigh*
And Crystal... Mystery Gift made it go mental. I had to restart. >_> And cloning... apparently... can be quite dangerous for the game... if you succeed, you have a clone, if ya don't... bye-bye data... happened to me several times X_X; |
Something similar happened to Gold. Not too long I chucked it in and started playing. Then suddenly all my names were glitched.
I had it sharked a few years before that and was manipulating the Clock Code. Do you think I deserved it? XD |
I have heard that if you play the game for over a year then your game will die...I traded my friend my yellow for his silver..So that must mean.....UH-OH.He want's the game back!!But I'm here and he's in dominican republic.MUAHAHAHAHHA.
I think my game was doing that sort.My blue was acting all glitchy.Everytime I get into a house it starts doing the screeches for Missing.No. when he appearsi in yellow. That scared me alot.I always get goosebumps when hearing that screech. |
i left mine in the washing machine once
and all my pokemon were charizards at lvl 99 the couldnt go to 100 then i got mad and threw it and the pokemon turned into Raichu's true story i swear |
Batesymon, QT Plusle, where did you store your cardtridges before you began to play them again? Any dust inside the cartridge?
I've been luckier *knock wood*. I left my Red lying untouched on my bedside table for about six months, during that time water was spilt on it countless times, dust was collecting inside and around the cartridge, and it had formerly been my glitching "crash test" cartridge. It has been turned off while saving since I got it. I popped it into my GBC (connecting the pins wrong a couple of times before it clicked) and turned it on. Everything was just as I had saved it 6 months ago. |
Is it true that if u play for to long the cartidges will die?
I hope not. |
Looks like someone has a glitch in their game. Maybe you've approached Glitch City.
|
Thats odd. A glitch such as that...you should try starting over again..
|
*Sigh*...I've tried starting the game again, and I stored the game in a special cartridge case.
|
i'm lucky i caught missingo and it didn't muck up my game.
but yeah i think it's just old. |
My gold version just died last month. It's been 5 years since I played that game. It's because it is old and I might as well buy a new gold version.:(
|
Hmm.. I've never had that happen to me. But like most of us said, its probably elderly.
|
My best friend gave my sister his yellow version but it didn't work.
EDIT:I hope my friend's silver version that he gave me doesn't die. |
Man I just hope that my Yellow version dosen't die on me, but yeah that's a glitch! i've never heard of anything like it!
|
I think the Yellow version is just trying to tell you that it's starting to die. Does it still save and store data? Even when you restart your game, it continues to act abnormal?
++++====~~~~ This is a true story... I pressed the START button and turned off my Blue version game multiple times once while trying to do the "Extended Mew Glitch", and when I turned the game back on, my BLUE VERSION said it was the Poke'mon RED! The colors were all red instead of blue, and instead of Squirtle appearing first on the title screen, it was Charmander. I never owned a Poke'mon Red nor have I ever played one on my Game Boy Advance. I'll tell you this, IT WAS SHOCKING. The gameplay was no different, though. Everything was normal except for the color, which was red. I've had my Blue version for about... three--four years and it's never failed on me. The only time the data got erased was when I tried to save some things on my Poke'mon Stadium game. I was just reorganizing the 123 Poke'mon in my PC boxes... (I must have been pretty stupid to do this, despite of what the warning says in the game, after the Title screen). The screen that said "Without turning off the N64, carefully REMOVE the GAME PAK and then place it back into the Transfer Pak," appeared. (Or perhaps--now that I think of it--I read the message wrong... I don't quite remember what the warning actually said when it came up) Anyways, I did as it told me, the game said it was saving, but then that same warning popped up. My heart started pounding. I turned off the N64 and put the Poke'mon Blue back into my GBA. When I got past the Title screen, it said, "The save file was destroyed!". My heart just sank. All of that effort into getting all of those Poke'mon... it's all just virtual trash now. But I'm okay now, because I've already got 85 Poke'mon, including all three starter Poke'mon. [I know a little secret on how to keep your all Poke'mon, even when you restart your game, but I suppose that's not important right now. Plus, you need a Transfer Pak and any of the Poke'mon Stadium (1-2) games.] |
