Zoids, only 'cause IY sucks :P

Kurosaki October 30th, 2005 10:10 AM

IY... Ziods makes IY look exciting. >>

Chibi-chan October 30th, 2005 10:32 AM

InuYasha! ^^

You can only stand robotic things for so long...I'd rather watch Gundam. Inuyasha is actually different, no matter how long it goes on and on and on and on and on....

Drawn out stories with a -really- annoying girl who can't do anything but scream...or a good fantasy war story with great subplots and pretty good action.

Zoids for me...Just not New Zoids/Zero. I hated that show, original was always the best.

Jack O'Neill October 30th, 2005 11:56 AM

I'll just go with what I know and vote for Inuyasha. XD

Seeing as I'm probably too young to remember Zoids (from the name I'm guessing it was in the Thundercats/Voltron generation) and it sounds like a generic mech battler, I'm going to have to go with Inuyasha. The fact that I can't help but love it aside, I think that it's a good counterbalance to many other animes in the context that it defies the "brains over brawn"-centered plot that is so common. In this show, whoever has the better sword, the better claws, the better magic wins, and it's refreshing to see something that encourages brute force every once and a while. I've never had a problem with the plot "dragging", as a show doesn't need to adhere to its framework and story progression in every episode to be entertaining. Most episodes of fantastic animes like Cowboy Bebop or Samurai Champloo have nothing to do with their eventual goals and are still considered works of art. I have nothing against the characters either; loud annoying people are unavoidable in anime, and I've figured that I might as well love them for it. The good thing about the main characters in Inuyasha are that they're dynamic--always at one extreme of personality or emotion, but always growing, always understanding, and they all have good chemistry with each other, all offer a good compliment/contrast to each other.

I could go a lot deeper into this, but this is a voting topic, not a persuasion topic. It's meant for opinions, not essays : p

I'd have to go with InuYasha.I used to watch Zoids and it got pretty boring.Inuyasha, although getting old,is still a great anime.Like Chibi Chan said,I'd rather be watching Gundam.

Alan, Zoids is actually only from 2002 XD It was a mech show, but a very different type of mech show.

Ati October 30th, 2005 1:20 PM

inuyasha is much better with his tesaiga(sword) XD

devilicious October 30th, 2005 1:28 PM

Uhh... What the hell is Zoids?
The anime selection here at Brazil isn't anywhere near good, so I'll vote for what I've watched... gogo Inuyasha~

Zoids, because I don't really watch much Inuyasha. I have nothing against it, just think Zoids is a better show. Especially Raven *squeels*
