The good, the bad and ''the annoyer''

Can anybody help me with a good annoyer?? I want him to have at least one or two attacks so he can stand alone too but he has to be very annoying too...

Give me some help...

Smeargle March 7th, 2004 6:22 AM

it depends on your version...but my favorite annoyer of all time is the one an only:

Crobat @ whatever
inner focus (as if you have a choice)
jolly (+speed/-Sp. Attack)
Poison Fang (or Toxic...doesn't really matter)
Double Team
Confuse Ray
Fly

Phuzer March 7th, 2004 7:26 AM

Oh I'm sorry i forgot to tell you guys, my version is ruby...

But I steel need some help, still can't make the decicion wich strong annoyer to use.............. :paranoid:

Ice demon March 7th, 2004 5:20 PM

Dusclops[calm]-mean look, curse, double team, rest @chesto berry
double team up then rest + chesto berry

Ninetales[modest]- will-o-wisp, flamethrower, rest/spite, sunny day

Dusclops is the best ^_^

Frostweaver March 7th, 2004 6:53 PM

oh... yes i remember that Dusclops i made long time ago but it's too slow of a setup =/ so too bad... sounds so good in theory though.

Where's classical subjolt? That's one brat that i can't think of a counter to...

-substitute
-thunderwave
-thunderbolt
-HP Ice/water/grass

sometimes it has baton pass somewhere too.

Phuzer March 7th, 2004 11:31 PM

Hmm sounds nice, but do you any pkmn in r/s who can leran those moves??

Frostweaver March 8th, 2004 3:36 PM

that above moveset can be easily accomplished by a Jolteon with FRLG.

there are many resources on the internet that can help you with what moves a Pokemon can learn.

Kairi March 8th, 2004 5:19 PM

I personally just build up speed with sub/protect Ninjask and then send out Donphan to take it out. It's still difficult though, but counterable certainly.

Phuzer March 8th, 2004 10:52 PM

Well I'm not sure wether to buy fr/lg but on the moment I have RUBY.
I did some thinking on annoyers so what do you think of them????

Calm mind Blissey.

Simple, 1 step solution :o

And to Dusclops: WoW, Night Shade, Rest, Calm mind is teh shiz :-*

Ice demon March 19th, 2004 6:41 AM

If u can use FRLG then use Blissey or Snorlax.
what about umbreon[def + spdef] he is a great annoyer

that dusclops moveset i got from a chat in.....i believe pokecrater?Except it had confuse ray/will-o-wisp over rest.

Mana Lugia March 19th, 2004 7:47 AM

No offense, but I'm got absolutely no respect for Pokemon Crater as an accurate portrayal of pokemon mechanics, and therefore for the movesets they suggest ._.

despite my lack of experiance in RS, I do know that moveset has about as much chance to work as a sweeperclops ._.

The Pokemaster March 19th, 2004 7:54 AM

annoyer pokemon are in my opinion, for non-brave trainers, they are the kind of pokemon who have detect, recover and toxic and then toxic you, using detect and recover to stop you retaliating, its the equivelant of the pokemon cowering back in a corner saying "not in the face! not in the face!" pathetic, i will never use annoyer pokemon, it is not an honourable way to win, and for me, honour is everything in a pokemon battle.

Smeargle March 19th, 2004 10:37 AM

It's not dishonorable??? It's just another way of beating someone... That's why there's different pokemons with different stats and different move compatibilities... no offense, but by actually saying what you've said, you've just admitted that annoyers do work in pokemon battles... since you are being annoyed by it!?

kInGdRa_rUlEs March 19th, 2004 5:11 PM

[email protected] nature(+defense - attack)
sludg bomb
haze
toxic
double team

crobat is a good annoyer

Ice demon March 19th, 2004 7:14 PM

No offense taken mana i don't even remember if it was pokemon crater- it was my friend who found it ^_^

annoyers are not dishonourable - they are pokemon who use movesets that complements their stats just like a SpAtt sweeper or a Att sweeper

So which annoyer[s] are u taking?:

I wasn't aware that dying with honour is smarter than winning with strategy. In an ancient battle, when outnumbered 10 to 1, would you just rush the enemy, or would you resort to tactics like guerilla warfare, burning of their logistic line, etc.?

Not sure about you, but I see nothhing wrong with using my brain once in a while. (mind you, protect > detect)

Phuzer March 20th, 2004 3:54 AM

Well come to think of it, i've made a tank annoyer, and the pokemon is called Dusclopps with this moveset:

Rest
Curse
Mean look
Toxic

It's more annoying than a tank but in battle it's kind of the same, what do you think of it??

The Pokemaster March 20th, 2004 1:35 PM

you do not understand, I have never used an annoyer, and have thought against countless annoyers, thinking up strategies instantly in the battle field to counteract them, i have lost 2 battles in my entire time i have played pokemon and they were right at the start of my training...so dont lecture me on losing with honour, i win with honour...

Mana Lugia March 20th, 2004 1:40 PM

and apparently has never battled competitively online and such.

Seriously though, I can quite possibly beat any of my friends if they decide to play pokemon again, but I'm just (below) average online, so =/

The Pokemaster March 20th, 2004 1:43 PM

online is not the same to me, i cannot bring my original team, my team is everything to me, if i cannot bring my good friends to the battlefield, then i am not interested, and i have been to countless tournaments around my country and fought against many many other trainers and their very Real teams, it is as good, no, better than fighting online.

Phuzer March 23rd, 2004 10:33 AM

@pokemonmaster

I was wondering what your ''mean team's'' movesets are???

Mana Lugia March 23rd, 2004 6:42 PM

it's obviously better to battle IRL, but online, it's
a) Fairer
b) More varied and challenging.

a) Online, everyone starts with teh same thing. The team of their dreams. It's no longer a battle of "Who is the bigger loser with more time to train", but more strategic. Everyone is given the highest standard of pokemon, so no one edges out the other with gameshark and such, no one edges the other because he/she has no life and spends 1000000 hours training, etc.
b) If you're living in say, Brazil, you'd be playing whom, your next door neighbours who don't know why tackle sucks, a few occassional opponents at the local card shop, etc. You'd be pitted against EVERYONE in the world who has the opportunity to get online. No matter where you are, you can battle against people from US, Canada, Spain, China, Brazil, Australia, etc. That's the real test. It's no longer "I am the king of the remote village Asdrioahstkhsdt in the remote region of Siheibwrleg", it's to prove to the world your real skills in pokemon.

And as much as I like how you prefer to imitate Ash, pokemon isn't real. Just like Neopet owners shouldn't feel depressed if their pet goes into a state of extreme hunger either. Honestly, in this forum, pokemon isn't Yugioh. No one here should believe in the "heart of the cards" (or in this case pokemon) because frankly, they're just bits on a gameboy catridge or PC.

Xilion_Sword90 March 25th, 2004 5:12 PM

Sceptile (Sunny Day, Toxic, Detect, Solarbeam) is pretty annoying

Jirachi March 29th, 2004 5:43 AM

REGISTEEL! bzzt...
Registeel with Rest, Body Slam, Swords Dance, and Shadow Ball...
THE PERFECT ANNOYER, GET BODY SLAM AND SWORDS DANCE ARE FROM FR/LG...
MALFUNCTION!

The Pokemaster March 29th, 2004 5:56 AM

Ok..i decided to Play Pokemon Net-battle to see what you were goin on about and frankly..that place is full of the worst most rude, jerks i have ever seen play pokemon, i just brought in my entire fair team with all their gold stats, no legendaries, and the 1st guy i meet is some joker with 6 legendaries all maxed out in stats, he of course uses his stupidly cheap team to eliminate my fair team, and once i complain, he decides to ban me from the server! yeah? well see if i ever come to that idiotic place again! *uninstalls the darn program*

Mana Lugia March 29th, 2004 6:07 PM

Apparently you didn't read what I said about "Fair play" as being "everyone has the same options open to them"

Yes, there are morons on the program. I can name quite a few myself, but there are also skilled trainers. Why would you blame them because you don't want to use Zapdos when everyone has the same chance? Obviously, I don't like people who use ubers, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with using legendary pokemon. It's not that much different stat wise from using Ttar and Dragonite (higher) and Arcanine (barely lower). If you were beat by a Zapdos, I would not sympathize at all. If you were beat by a Mewtwo, I would. If you were beat because you set all your pokemon to Lv 70, obviously I wouldn't sympathize, because online battling is supposed to be skill, not nerdiness. You have a chance to use max stat pokemon just like everyone else. That's fair play. You chose not to. Don't blame others for your faults.

(Fyi, there are more than one server, and each admin is different from the next. The RS NB beta only has 1 server, but I doubt I'd have banned you)
