I would like you to make me a team, i do not mind what pokemon are in it, just dont put ubers in it [except for kyogre, rayquaza and groudon]
I'd like a mix of pokemon, like 1 grass, 1 water, 1 fire, 1 thunder etc..
but i want them to be good for their type, thank you..
If you want to put more than one type in, then feel free ;]

It's been done countless times before, with the controversial issue of having either Eevee or something else in the final slot. It's not all too effective, however, because the team lacks a good physical wall and a good physical sweeper.

Edgewalker March 5th, 2006 10:34 AM

Eevee does not create a "Wall"... Take a look at this Shuckle, now THAT's a wall...

Yes, I know...
Nearly all of the Eevee evolutions are spec. sweepers or subers...
That's mainly the reason I want some help to toughen them up a little bit...
Anything will help, movesets, breeding chains, EV training tips...

Synchronize March 5th, 2006 11:41 AM

Well, all you can do is make standard movesets, as vaporeon can only tank, and though Umbreon can somewhat wall, all it does is support.

Pyrotechnix March 5th, 2006 12:13 PM

You could set up a Baton Passing chain for an Eeveelution team, starting with Jolteon setting up an Agilipass to Umbreon, who Mean Looks a physical attacker and passes to Vaporeon, who Charms/Subs back to Jolteon to finish up any speed passing, and then trades to Umby to Curse up and pass to either Eevee or Flareon @ White Herb, and the deal is done. Espeon waits in the background in case Flareon gets taken down during the sweep and cleans up. Very involved, very situational, but it could be done. In-game, this would be a lot easier to chain together but heck to build up, since you need to get a lot of egg-specific moves that I don't have time to set up all the breeding chains for anymore .-.

If you are doing that try a 2v2 team. Helping hand on Umbry,Vap,Jolt.
Espeon and Flareon are main attackers (Flare physical and Espy special)
Use e4 espy over CM Espy.
[email protected]^^e4 Espy
EVs: 220 SA/220 SPD/70 DEF
Timid nature (SPD+/ATK-)
Psychic
HP Fire
Reflect
Morning Sun

I've actually done this before, using the alias Eevee Leader. It actually works surprisingly well.

Helping Hand from Umbry will make your attacks immensly powerful and Reflect has more use in 2v2.

Well, CrystalLatias, I’ll try to meet all your criteria. You can’t make a decent Baton Pass team without an Eeveelution though (especially Vaporeon or Umbreon) or Substitute (which is only available as a move tutor). In fact, there just aren’t a lot of good Baton Passers in Sapphire, so I dunno if you have access to FireRed/LeafGreen/Emerald. And a lot of the moves I’m suggesting can’t be obtained in Sapphire but we can work around it.
Oh and I hope you’re all right with Swampert, because Mudkip really doesn’t work at all against fully evolved Pokemon.
Oh, and I don’t know if you know what EVs are, otherwise, I’ll point you to some guides. You don’t NEED to EV train, but if you want a strong team then its better that you do. I’m not putting EVs in this team though.

Ninjask @ Leftovers
Trait: Speed Boost
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Baton Pass
- Silver Wind
- Swords Dance
- Protect

Medicham (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Pure Power
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Baton Pass
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Fire Punch

Latias @ Soul Dew/Leftovers
Trait: Levitate

- Dragon Claw
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Safeguard

Raichu @ Leftovers
Trait: Static
Naughty (+Atk, -SDef) or Lonely (+Atk, -Def)
- Thunderbolt
- Charm/Thunder Wave
- Return
- Brick Break

Gorebyss @ Leftovers
Trait: Swift Swim
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Barrier
- Amnesia
- Baton Pass
- Surf

Swampert @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Rest
- Surf

Ok, Ninjask, Gorebyss, and Medicham are all Baton Passers. Ninjask passes Speed/Attack, Gorebyss passes Defense/Sp. Defense, and Medicham passes Sp. Attack. Since your opponent goes all out attacking, you don’t have to worry about Roar/Haze/Whirlwind or status. Swampert is your main recipient and so are Latias/Latios and Raichu (well, I think Raichu is cute). With the proper set up, Baton Pass teams can devastate opposing teams.

EDIT: Hey, that's not fair, you edited your post before I posted the team. >=(

aragornbird March 6th, 2006 5:14 PM

*♣♥♦*♣♥♦*♣♥♦*♣♥♦

Pikachu (M) @ Light Ball
Trait: Static
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Surf/Encore
- Substitute
- Hidden Power [Grass]/Focus Punch

If this is for Netbattle, use Surf and Hidden Power. Other wise, go with the moves on the left side.

Mewtwo @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Psychic
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Thunderbolt/Ice Beam/Flamethrower/Safeguard

Mewtwo has a ton of options for its last move.

Ho-oh @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Sacred Fire
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Solar Beam/Thunderbolt

Keep in mind that Ho-oh works best in Sunny Weather. Victreebell can help it.

Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Hidden Power [Flying]/Return
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
- Taunt

Again, if on Netbattle, use Hidden Power, if not use Return. Special attacking Gyarados might work better in-game:

Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
Modest Nature (-Atk, +SAtk)
- Surf/Hydro Pump
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Thunder Wave

Victreebel (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Chlorophyll
Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Solar Beam
- Sunny Day
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power [Fire]/Sleep Powder

Again Hidden Power on Netbattle, Sleep Powder in game.

Nidoking (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Poison Point
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Megahorn
- Sludge Bomb
- Rock Slide

Choice Band Nidoking rocks compared to the other Nido sets.

Lol, what? Dude, it’s ARAGORNbird.

Okay, team based around Milotic and McGar. Let’s see what I can do.

Gengar (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 196 Atk / 184 Spd / 130 SAtk
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Focus Punch
- Ice Punch
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt

Standard McGar. Makes a nice starter.

Milotic (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
EVs: 212 HP / 172 Def / 70 SAtk / 56 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Hypnosis
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Surf

Standard Milo. I don’t know if it needs Speed. I just put some into SDef for an even 300.

Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 76 HP / 176 Atk / 136 Def / 120 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Double-Edge
- Earthquake
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Lax takes care of Gengar and Milo’s special weakness.

Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Atk / 240 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Drill Peck
- Roar
- Rest
- Spikes

Physical wall and phazer. It also serves to defend against Metagross, which up to now gives your Pokemon trouble.

Celebi @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 132 HP / 152 Def / 152 Spd / 72 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Baton Pass
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Recover

It counters Swampert and passes CMs to Gengar, which is awesome. You could always replace BP with Heal Bell. Either way this has been EVed to outspeed Adamant Mence AND survive one Dugtrio HP Bug.

Salamence (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Hidden Power [Flying]
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Fire Blast

Really, your last slot can be used for a variety of Pokemon. I like Mence since it hits everything hard and counters CBCross. You can use another physical sweeper to take its place or even a fast special sweeper which makes a second BP recipient from Celebi. I also like Wishpassing, so you could use something like Umbreon or Jirachi.

Ugh, I used a bunch of standards. I don't know if that's too boring for you, I just wanted to make it balanced like you said. Feel free to change stuff around and maybe be more creative.

duffin: Well, I’ll make you a team based around Blaziken. I don’t know if your brother understands the concept of EVs, so I’ll keep them out of this:

Blaziken (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Blaze
Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)

- Rock Slide
- Sky Uppercut

The star of the team.

Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers

- Spikes

It resists Ground and Flying, which Blaziken is weak against.

Regice @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Rest
- Thunderbolt
- Toxic

It absorbs Blaziken’s special weaknesses, Water and Psychic, along with most other special attacks.

Salamence (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Intimidate
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Aerial Ace
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast

Charly: I assume this is in-game too. Along with the two you listed, other Pokemon that work well with them are:

Magneton @ Leftovers
Trait: Magnet Pull
EVs: 64 HP / 192 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Metal Sound
- Substitute
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt

Magneton takes care of Skarmory who otherwise ruins the entire team.

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 76 HP / 192 Atk / 136 Def / 104 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Body Slam
- Curse
- Earthquake/Shadow Ball
- Rest

Snorlax resists special attacks that all the other members are weak against.

Heracross @ Leftovers
Trait: Guts
EVs: 20 HP / 252 Atk / 236 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Focus Punch
- Megahorn
- Rock Slide
- Substitute

A Heracross with Agility AND Swords Dance is really scary. You can certainly go with a Reversal set, but then Tyranitar screws you over.

Aerodactyl @ Leftovers
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Double-Edge
- Earthquake
- Aerial Ace
- Rock Slide

Aero makes a great Baton Pass recipient too and it doesn’t even need Agility since its so fast.

Yeah, I realize this team has 3 Fire weaknesses, but it also has 3 Fire resistances.

Chiggyman: Actually, this request is not broad at all because there are only about 15 Pokemon in Red/Blue/Yellow that work really well and they are: Alakazam, Cloyster, Chansey, Exeggutor, Gengar, Golem, Jynx, Lapras, Persian, Rhydon, Slowbro, Snorlax, Starmie, Tauros, and Zapdos. Maybe Jolteon as well. So anytime you’re making an R/B/Y team, choose from out of those.

Exeggutor
- Explosion/Stun Spore
- Mega Drain
- Psychic
- Sleep Powder

Alakazam
- Psychic
- Recover
- Reflect/Seismic Toss
- Thunder Wave

Golem
- Body Slam
- Earthquake
- Explosion
- Rock Slide

Chansey
- Counter/Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam/Blizzard
- Softboiled
- Thunder Wave

Tauros
- Blizzard
- Body Slam
- Earthquake
- Hyper Beam

Slowbro
- Amnesia
- Psychic
- Rest
- Surf/Thunder Wave

-Yes, Hyper Beam rocks in Red/Blue/Yellow! If you hit the opponent and it faints, you won’t have to recharge the next turn!
-Blizzard is better than Ice Beam because its accuracy is 90% instead of 70%
-There are 3 Psychics here because Psychic rules in R/B/Y. No Dark or Steel types, the strongest Ghost move is Lick, and the strongest Bug move is Pin Missile.

Hmmm, lemme see if I can find my old GSC Netbattle team:

Jolteon @ Leftovers
- Baton Pass
- Growth
- Hidden Power [Water]
- Thunderbolt

Growtheon! Growth is an NYPC move. If you can’t get that or HP Water in game, just use Zapdos:

Zapdos @ Leftovers
-Thunderbolt
-Drill Peck
-Rest
-Sleep Talk

Suicune @ Leftovers
- Ice Beam
- Rest
- Roar
- Surf

Snorlax @ Leftovers
- Earthquake
- Curse

- Rest

Gengar @ Leftovers
- Destiny Bond
- Hypnosis
- Ice Punch
- Thunderbolt

Tyranitar @ Leftovers
- Crunch
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Surf

Forretress @ Leftovers

Unlike some other people on this forum, I have nothing against you. I would comment on your unorthodox movesets, but seeing as how this is in-game, you can still get away with things like physical attacking Lapras.

I actually did not design it as a physical attacking Lapras. I designed it as a tank to absorb both physical and special attacks. I originally would have used Surf and Ice Beam but decided after Cursing to up DEF, physical attacks would do more damage.

Thunder Wave – Level Up

Agility – Level Up
Baton Pass – Level Up as Eevee at Lv. 36

Umbreon’s only bred-on move is Wish. If you can’t get that, use Moonlight instead.

I don't find Recover to have that much of a use on Zam, because once he gets a CM or two Special Attacks don't hurt every much, and no one is stupid enough to keep him in on a physical attack unless you KNOW you can OHKO. Last time i checked, Relicanth is a UU defensive wall and works well with Choice Band too. Steelix is much better than both of them at the job though IMO. What you really need are a few things that can resist EQ since the majorit of your team has a ground/semi-ground weakness, and Mantine just can't handle the Rock Slides that are bound to follow afterwards.

I doubt anyone will let you get away with an Agility set up, especially without and offensive pass (despite Nidoking's power). You've got enough Sweeping power, so I'd probably say something like Misdreavus or Rest Altaria.

Blaziken @ Leftovers

Special Wall.

A physical attacker that resists Ground and Water that Blaziken is weak against.

Alakazam @ Lum Berry

I have put my faith into that Lax. Sure it doesn't have rest, but with 1124 SDef, it doesn't need it. Read that again, 1124 SDef. This will take around 2 damage from even the most powerful SAs unless they have 4+ CMs. Again, 1124 SDef.

The team I gave for the Blaziken was a NB team I used to use.

ok, you have to Amnesia 3 times to get that amount iirc. If not, you'll sitll be working with Curse along the way, and no one is going to let you set that up. Besides, there's a thing called hax, and damage prior to your set up that will hurt you later on. Not to mention that thing called Burn.

Lol more like just use full sp.def and calm. Most stuff will only like 20-35% it so you can set up on them and sweep, it NEEDS rest imo.

Alright, someone help me with a Tauntmory team. WW prefered. I'm just tired of all these lategame Curselaxes making me rely on hax (i've won in 75% of those case btw :))

[email protected]
EVs: 228 SPD/212 HP/rest in DEF
Nature: Impish (DEF+/SA-)
Taunt
Whirlwind
Spikes
Rest

[email protected]
EVs: 252 HP/158 SD/100 SA
Nature: Calm (SD+/ATK-)
T/Bolt
Ice Beam
Rest
Seismic Toss

I don't like skarmbliss, and Blissey can't do any damage readily.

[email protected]
EVs: 252 DEF/158 HP/100 SA
Nature: Bold (DEF+/ATK-)
Heal Bell
Leech Seed
Recover
Psychic

[email protected]
EVs: 252 ATK/200 DEF/58 SA
Nature: Naughty (ATK+/SD-)
Agility
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Psychic

Psychic to ruin Weezing's day.

[email protected]
EVs: 252 HP/100 SA/158 SD
Nature: Calm (SD+/ATK-)
Surf
Ice Beam
Haze
Wish

God I love this thing. This at full health>Zappy.
Ice Beam is a 2HKO while T/Bolt is not iirc.

[email protected]
EVs:252 SA/50 SD/100 HP/108 SPD
Nature: Modest (SA+/ATK-)
T/Bolt
Extrasensory
HP Grass/Ice
Light Screen

This actually works surprisingly well. Never tried this team together, but sets alone seem good on paper. Vaporeon and Zappy sets are my own that I use on NB, while the rest (except Skarm) are on-the-spot analyses. Skarm is what you asked for.

Synchronize April 7th, 2006 11:26 AM

Would someone else that I actually trust to make me a team like to try?

Pyrotechnix April 7th, 2006 1:02 PM

Tauntmory team coming up. I'll have it for you sometime this weekend.

Fr0st April 8th, 2006 5:09 AM

I wanna request a CBmence team!!! But no blissey. Thats it =D

- Hidden Power [Fire] / Substitute
- Metal Sound / Substitute
- Reflect / Substitute

And some filler. That might hold you until someone makes you a better one. I tried not to add Skarm or Zapdos because that would create a huge boltbeam weak. You can always use one of my friend's old teams:

Salamence (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake

Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)

Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 60 Atk / 196 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Drill Peck
- Rest
- Roar
- Spikes

For Meta and Regice, i wasnt sure about the EVs, and in Meta's case the moveset, but these are the same pokemon.

Fr0st April 8th, 2006 6:47 AM

Thanks... CBmence is a real best, but I love that lax as well

Use Sub over Reflect. Reflect is cool but Sub is way more useful imo.

Maybe he should use Celebi as a filler so he has a Cleric.

Synchronize April 8th, 2006 11:08 AM

I considered that, but boltbeam is still kinda present

Pyrotechnix April 9th, 2006 11:23 AM

Sup Umby. Tauntmory Team, created.

Skarmory @ Leftovers
EVs: You'll have to do these yourself.
Nature: I assume Impish, but again, you know better than I.
-Protect
-Spikes
-Taunt
-Roar

You'll thank me for Protect =D

Raikou @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 60 HP / 60 Def / 216 Spd / 136 SAtk / 36 SDef
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Calm Mind
- Substitute

Provides protection for Tauntmory, and is just sexy by itself.

Dugtrio (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Arena Trap
EVs: 36 HP / 252 Atk / 220 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Bug]
- Aerial Ace
- Rock Slide

Because every good Raikou team needs a Duggy backup.

Milotic (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
EVs: 212 HP / 208 Def / 36 SAtk / 52 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Hypnosis

This or Swampert. Depends on what you want forcing more switches.

Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 236 HP / 76 Atk / 56 Def / 140 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Body Slam
- Earthquake
- Rest

Hi Lax.

Celebi @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 236 HP / 152 Def / 64 SAtk / 56 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Psychic
- Leech Seed
- Hidden Power [Fire]/Heal Bell
- Recover

Not really recommending Heal Bell, HP Fire will be nice for taking out pesky Forrys.

Umm…can you be more specific? What kind of team do you want? What version are you playing? Do you have access to other versions for trading?
