Hey, could someone please do me a team if they can please?
I have decided on
Shuckle
Blissy
Garchomp
Weavile

I am not sure what to have next.
Would someone be able to do a move set and EV spread for shuckle, blissy, Garchomp and the other 2 in my team please? You can choose 2 which would go best.
I have got Weaviles set! thanks again people!
Gaara!

Vainz June 24th, 2007 8:11 PM

I would like a team. I would like it surrounded around annoying pokemon and attacks like Curse, Confuse Ray, Attract, Thunder Wave, Toxic, and Destiny Bond. I would like its stats to be high Def and SDef. No UBER if you dont mind. thx. I know that i want a Dusknoir on it.

DemonPrince June 25th, 2007 3:57 AM

First, take out shuckle, garra.

Put in swampert and a fire type. followed by a legend if u want one, or a skarmory

Awww but shuckle is ace! XD
Hum.. whats fire. NO LEGEND, lol i hate them, can't stand them,

diamondpearl876 June 25th, 2007 12:26 PM

Hmm
What about a team with these Pokemon?

Garchomp
Weavile
Staraptor
Empoleon
Rapidash
Luxray

You can change some Pokemon if you want, or have the team revolve around one of them.

bribri121212 June 26th, 2007 10:54 AM

im thinking about starting a new game. and i want a team that doesnt consist of gyrados/luxray. you know the typical pokemon. can someone make me a non typical team?

Jim June 26th, 2007 11:45 AM

Hey! I'm trying to base a Team around a very underused (For a reason) Kecleon. It's a Generic Skill Swapping Shadow Clawer Kecleon, currently trying to improve its speed EVs.

[email protected]
EVs: 126 Attack 252 Sp Attack 126 Speed 4 HP
-Skill Swap
-Shadow Claw
-Aerial Ace (It's Fast unavoidable and covers its' Fighting Weakness)
-Return (STAB)

A May include a Dew more under Used Pokes Like Mantine, Octillery or Persian. No Leegendaries or ubers Please.

DemonPrince June 27th, 2007 2:58 AM

Infernape is a good fire, garra. or a guy wit a fire attack will do

ravenfan4125 June 27th, 2007 5:10 AM

i want a wi-fi team with no ubers that is based on a Pikachu

Iceman3k June 27th, 2007 6:45 PM

I was away from this topic long enough, so I should at least answer some calls

Too Sweeper based. I'm changing a few of them.

Garchomp @ Leftovers / Life Orb
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 176 HP / 128 Atk / 204
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Stone Edge / Fire Fang
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw / Outrage / Dragon Rush

Dusknoir @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 228 HP /104 Atk / 176 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Shadow Claw
- Substitute / Will-o-Wisp
- Pain Split
- Focus Punch / Thunderpunch

Blissey @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 212 HP / 216 Def / 80 SAtk
- Softboiled
- Stealth Rock
- Aromatherapy
- Ice Beam / Thunder / Seismic Toss
If you actually have the patience to play Emerald for Battle Points, then run Seismic Toss. Otherwise, Ice Beam and Thunder are your other 2 viable options.

Empoleon @ Wise Specs / Petaya Berry / Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 44 HP / 216 Spd / 248 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Agility
- Hydro Pump / Surf / Brine
- Ice Beam
- Flash Cannon / Grass Knot
Brine can be pretty awesome if you can weaken the enemy team beforehand.

Rapidash @ Choice Band
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Flare Blitz
- Megahorn
- Double-Edge
- Quick Attack
Anti-Infernape if you ask me. ;)

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 128 HP / 108 Def / 136 Spd / 136 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Light Screen
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power (Flying) / Hidden Power (Ice)
- Roost
Not really a big need for HP Ice, so probably HP Flying for those unwanted Heracross that visit you.

Thanks for the team! Just one problem.. EVs for Garchomp? 204 of what? xD Oh, and the nature for Blissey. oO;

Iceman3k June 27th, 2007 7:23 PM

Oh sorry. Garchomp needs 204 EVs in Speed.
Blissey is to be ran with a Bold Nature.

Pro Bob June 27th, 2007 9:46 PM

I'd like a team. So far the pokemon I have for it are Gengar and Dragonite. Movesets:

[email protected] (I don't know what item to put)
~Modest
~Levitate
Moves:
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
-Destiny Bond
-?

[email protected] (I don't know what item to put)
~Adamant
~Inner Focus
Moves:
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Fire Punch?
-?

Any suggestions? (movesets aren't 100%, I'd still like some help with that if you think it needs improvement.) I'm thinking about putting in an Infernape. I did, after all, hatch over 30 Chimchars until I got a Jolly one.

purunyosin June 29th, 2007 2:27 AM

Hmm..

Someone(not me, not knowledgable enough), should make a team building guide for Diamond/Pearl, unless is already working on it then.. work harder! ^_^ Also, though I know it's not the appropriate topic, WHY DID THEY NOT GIVE FLAREON FLARE BLITZ? WTF? <---was building an Eevee team, and since Flareon was the last one he got, this was my final thoughts on the team. Jolteon baton passing Agility to a Flareon with max Attack EVs and Flare Blitz in its arsenal is a scary thought.. (Just like the first time one faces Ninjask baton passing 3 levels of speed to a Machamp with max HP and Attack IVs).

Okay.. so you want a team of annoyers and tanks, and Dusknoir, which is a physical tank, and by using Dusknoir, you're not taking advantage of his attack? Okay..

[email protected]
EVs: 252 HP 252 Atk/Def/SDef 6 Atk/Def/SDef
Adamant/Impish/Careful Nature
Ability: Cute Charm
Psych Up
Swagger
Drain Punch
Thunder Wave

Okay, I've never used a Wigglytuff, but this is what I see.. Start with Thunder Wave, move into Swagger, hope either paralyzation/confusion to hit him, OR if he used a physical attack and Cute Charm attracts him/her, and during the stalls, THEN use Psych Up, get the Attack boost, then Drain Punch and hope to regain any HP lost. Run from ghosts!(Unless you want to Swagger it to death).

[email protected]
EVs: 252 Def 252 Spd, 6 Sp Def
Bold Nature
Ability; Flash Fire
Hypnosis
Dream Eater
Over Heat/Will-o-Wisp/Confuse Ray
Nasty Plot

Over Heat or Will-o-Wisp, depending on how you want to deal with pkmn resistant to Dream Eater, unless you've already used Nasty Plot, then a resistance is no longer a matter of substance because with a little luck, and a speedy Hypnosis, you can probably manage a Nasty Plot or two(all Over Heat fodder). Will-o-Wisp is also a viable option for tanking as Burns cut a pkmn's attack stat OR a Nasty Plot'd Over Heat that OHKOs pkmn that are not resistant.

[email protected]
EVs: 252 Def, 252 SDef, 6 HP
Careful Nature
Ability: Keen Eye(not Sturdy, as OHKO moves are banned, I think)
Roar
Spikes
Roost/Drill Peck/Brave Bird/Stealth Rock
Roost/Drill Peck/Brave Bird/Stealth Rock

I'm not a big Skarmory fan, but if you're looking for a physical tank with little weaknesses, this is your guy. If up against a pkmn with limited arsenal against it, it has time to set up. Spikes, Spikes, maybe a Roost in between, Stealth Rock, Roar, you get the picture. You can choose between Drill Peck or Brave Bird if you don't like Roost or Stealth Rock, Brave Bird because he has no Atk EVs, Drill Peck if you don't like the Recoil damage.

[email protected]
EVs: 252 Def, 252 Spd, 6 SDef
Bold Nature
Ability: Levitate
Pain Split
Destiny Bond
Perish Song
Mean Look

Not much explanation, she's a speedy Destiny Bond, and pulls off the much annoying Mean Look/Perish Song combo well. Pain Split as it doesn't really have much of a better recovery move.

[email protected]
EVs: 252 Def, 252 SDef, 6 HP
Bold/Calm Nature
Ability: Sturdy
Toxic
Protect
Encore/Bide/Rest/Stealth Rock
Encore/Bide/Rest/Stealth Rock

Shuckle's an enigma to me.. if only it had a LITTLE more HP, maybe a base of 60? Or even 40! Sadly it has a meager 20. With more, it'd defeinitely be a little closer towards the UU/OU border. Anyway, basic Toxic Staller, Stealth Rock is there if you don't want to set it up with Skarmory, Bide and Rest are self explanatory, or Encore is there for a little more dashes of annoyance.

Don't understand why you'd want Dusknoir instead of Dusclops, as Dusclops is better for tanking/annoying, but oh well!

[email protected]
EVs: 252 Def, 252 SDef, 6 Atk
Adamant Nature
Ability: Pressure
Earthquake/Elemental Punches(Physical Filler, basically)
Shadow Punch
Brick Break
Trick Room

Dusknoir was built to be a Physical Tank, and thus he should be. Makes an excellent Trick Room-user.

[email protected]
EVs: 252 Def, 252 SDef, 6 HP
Bold/Calm Nature
Ability: Pressure
Will-o-Wisp
Pain Split
Night Shade
Mean Look

JUST IN CASE, you want to use Dusclops instead. I adore Dusclops, myself, but I'm partial to either one. You can even use both if you desire it!

[email protected]
EVs; 252 HP, 252 Atk, 6 Spd
Adamant Nature
Ability: Serene Grace <---IMPORTANT
Thunder Wave
Head Butt/Bite(for Ghost-Types)
Water Pulse/Ancient Power/Roost
Water Pulse/Ancient Power/Roost

King of Annoyers! At least in my eyes. There's little explanation, Thunder Wave to allow you to go first, then Head Butt away! Flinching's a pain, especially for pkmn who have to set up the field. Water Pulse/Ancient ARE special attacks, and will do meager damage, but the benefits boosted by Serene Grace will prove useful. Roost is for survability, but I like the luck theme behind it. Makes battling more exciting.

So well there, 8 options for a 6 pkmn team, all viable options, of course. If you're curious about any other pkmn, feel welcome to private message me and I'll try to get back to you as soon as possible. Other options I thought are pkmn like Cloyster or Snorlax, but I'm not sure how much you wanted to dwell into the sub-sweeper so much. Curselax lost a bit of its umph in Diamond/Pearl, but totally viable. Curselax being..

[email protected]/Chesto Berry
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Atk, 6 Def
Ability: Immunity(Thick Fat is an option, but Immunity cuts off Toxi-stallers)
Adamant/Careful Nature
Curse
Body Slam
Earthquake/Crunch
Rest

Many options for annoyers, just get back to me on what you think of this set.

purunyosin June 29th, 2007 4:11 AM

Corrections in bold.

I like Gengar because he's a fast Destiny Bond. Sludge Bomb for STAB and Focus Blast hits a larger variety of steel-types than does Thunderbolt(Steelix nullifies it and Magnezone is resistant). For Dragonite, Stone Edge is simply a better move than Fire Punch, and hits a larger variety of ice-types(especially those water/ice-types). Earthquake for Rock/Steel-types.

I hope this helped, PM me if you have anymore questions.

Umbr3on June 29th, 2007 4:38 AM

Hello, i would like to request a team with the following pokemon.

Weavile
Infernape
Umbreon

others i would like r scizor and Gardevoir, but if these wont fit then it will be alright. just the top 3 i really want thanks.

purunyosin June 29th, 2007 5:21 AM

I don't get online often, and when I do, I'm on for a while for I thought I'd post my Pearl/Diamond team and see what people think. Actually, I really would like criticism for people who's been in the WiFi battle scene and can give a few pointers. I would rather not you exchange out the pkmn, as these are my favorites, but unless you see it's absolutely necessary, feel free.

I've recently started raising a few others, including Milktank, Kangaskhan and Scizor, but as you can see, I use more than 6 and switch so I'm never the same battle twice. I didn't list all of my battle-ready pkmn, but these are the ones I use most often. Definitely, you don't have rate all of them, and I understand my EV spreads are the basic 252/252/6, but I'm more comfortable with them that way.

ravenfan4125 June 29th, 2007 5:48 AM

i need a wifi team with no ubers any suggestions?

Jinnai taichou June 29th, 2007 6:05 AM

Hey everyone. Trying to decide on a team, but I'm having some trouble. Here are the Pokemon I currently have bred and team-ready. Also, don't worry about having to explain EV spreads and MS to me, as these are already done.

Alakazam - TrickSpecs
Garchomp - Standard w/ Life Orb
Spiritomb - SP DEF w/ WoW
Milotic - Hypnosis/Recover
Togekiss - Paraflinch
Pineco (soon to be Forretress) - Spiker/Stealth Rocker, Rapid Spinner

I want to use two Special Sweepers on my team, not sure if that's a good idea. Probably Alakazam/Togekiss and Milotic, or any combination using only those two. The one thing I DON'T like though is being BoltBeamer weak. :/ I don't really feel like getting a Gengar or Starmie though, or Porygon-Z.

For a Physical Sweeper, the only one I know of so far is Garchomp. I have NO idea who to use next, and it's driving me crazy. I was thinking Infernape for a SkarmBliss counter and was wondering, how well does it do against Weavile? Also, I was considering Metagross for helping countering Zam's counters, but am hesitant because I dread getting one on Emerald for possibly using Thunderpunch.

Since I have two sweepers of each kind, I'm guessing that's ok, that I need a Spiker and then maybe a support Pokemon. I was going to try Forretress and if that didn't work out, I'd use Skarmory. For a Supporter of some sort, I was possibly considering Umbreon. Anyhow, sorry for the some-what lengthy post, and thanks for reading.

Iron June 29th, 2007 6:13 AM

Ok here is my current team and I was hoping to get it rate and see what kind of moves I should teach them.

Sneasel
Charizard
Kingler
Carnivine
Golem
Spiritomb

pilotwings June 29th, 2007 7:42 AM

I've got a team in mind but would someone mind seeing if I have any glaring weaknesses? I don't, but then again I've never played a real battle so I'm not sure if I'm missing something important.

Blastoise (with Mirror Coat)
Tyranitar (with Dragon Dance)
Ninjask (Baton Passing speed to Tyranitar)
Infernape (Scout and anti-Skarmbliss)
Vaporeon (Hazer and Acid Armor Baton Passer)
Slaking (Tank)

I'm assuming you have at least 2 pkmn with Earthquake, right? (Tyranitar/Slaking?) A strong Electric/Fighting-type may prove formidable, like Electivire or Machamp for example. If it has Max Atk and Spd, it might catch Tyranitar off guard with a good 4x Cross Chop. Even Vaporeon who passes Defense can't take a critical hit from a Cross Chop. Maybe a strong Psychic-type? Like Zam, or Grumpig?

pilotwings June 29th, 2007 3:17 PM

Well actually I have Tyranitar and Blastoise with Earthquake. I'm trying something different. So Vaporeon is no good? Because I really like that pokemon, and I from what I've read every team needs a hazer.
