Ok, is this a good Dugtrio moveset,

Dugtrio @ Choice Band
Arena Trap
Adament / Jolly Nature
252Atk / 216Spd / 42SPef
- Aerial Ace
- Substitute
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake

Sub + Choice band = no.

Dugtrio usually likes adamant, though on some teams jolly is better suited. Sucker punch is always good to have on it thgouh ;) HP Bug in third gen. also, Stone edge is a possibility over rock slide.

Remember this is a 3rd gen moveset Anti lol

He did mention the Bug-type Hidden Power to use instead of Substitute, since using a Choice Band allows the use of only one move.

EDIT: You need an IV of 31 in Defense and Special Attack, and 30 in everything else, for a Bug-type Hidden Power with the maximum 70 base power.

OK, I've decided to make use of a Modest Articuno I migrated from LeafGreen, and I was originally going to go for a scarf/specs variety. However, the prospect of a decent Hidded Power is gone (Steel 31), so I've decided to copy the Agilipoleon set:

Articuno @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Water Pulse
- Ancientpower
- Agility
---

Sure, her movepool isn't very diverse, and Water Pulse/Ancient Power aren't the most powerful attacks in the world, but all three have an added effect. Ice Beam could freeze, Water Pulse confuses and Ancientpower can raise all stats. I believe she can reach more than 500 speed after one agility. If I can put her in a team with Nasty Plot passing support, I should be good to go, although her decent defences mean she could do OK on her own.

Any thoughts?

Hey guys i just realised on a blissey i made (common set), it had serene grace, not natural cure. i thought crap, waste of time, but then i realised its quite handy. Whenever i use ice beam its almost a 50/50 freeze.

You call a 1 of 5 chance "almost 50/50"? You must not get very good grades in math.

But yes, Serene Grace aids attacks like Ice Beam, which can come in handy. Natural Cure is generally better on Blissey, though.

Changed my mind about Empoleon because of my teams ground weakness.
Need a set for Skarm.

[email protected] Shell / Leftovers
Impish Nature
252 HP / 196 DEF / 60 ATT
- Brave Bird / Drill Peck
- Whirlwind
- Spikes / Stealth Rock
- Roost

Shed Shell is the priority item here it allows you to escape Magnezone (Ask King Dragun about how annoying escaping Zone is =p) and to a lesser extent Probopass. Its generally a good item in conjunction with roost and Skarm doesnt really need leftovers recovery due to Roost being instant means of recovery unlke in advance where its only means of recovery were Leftovers and Rest. Leftovers are good if you dont fear Magnezone and probopass (which would mean you are weird lol), although i prefer keeping my physical wall >> leftovers recovery every day of the week.

Brave Bird is your only hope of beating Taunt Gyarados and OHKO Infernape switch ins, it deals quite alot of damage actually and works great in conjunction with Roost. Drill peck is here if the recoil puts you off.

Whirlwind for psuedo hazing and spike/Stealth Rock shuffling.

Spikes, well you know what thats for, dealing damage upon switching in lol and will deal more damage to things that dont levitate or fly etc.. Stealth Rock is good if your team is weak to Gyarados, Salamence <insert thing weak to rock here> etc and will hurt them more than spikes will and hits everything unlike spikes and is especially good if you dont pack a ghost to resist Rapid Spin thus taking less time to set up and not wasting your time.

Roost is your instant 50% of health recovery move.

Just make sure Skarmory doesn't move first with Roost. Your opponent may be counting on it, and pick that time to use Earthquake. Roost negates the user's immunity to Ground attacks for the turn in which it's used, and since Steel is weak to Ground...

Skarm is slower than most EQ users anyways and good players aren't going to count on skarm using roost unless it's more of a necessity that it does.

Meaning that roost's downside isn't that bad and rarely backfires.

Can Roar be used in place of Whirlwind on Skarm?

If you want, it does the same job basically. Too lazy to breed are we lol ? , just watch out for soundproof pokemon which it fails to effect.

Yeah, either one is fine, especially since soudproof pokes are hard to come by.

Pretty much any battle team that works well on Diamond and Pearl also works well in Battle Revolution.

Yes, really. Battle Revolution is hack-sensitive, but that's all. Stuff like the Quick Claw still work in Battle Revolution.

I guess by "work", I mean "function".

Eleventyseventy December 26th, 2007 3:44 PM

Try construct a double battle team. Double battles are quite fun on PBR.
You don't come up against as many ubers online in doubles as you do singles.
Any good at double battling Hammerhead?
I'll give you a battle this weekend if you're up for it.

Disconnect on uber users. Teach 'em that they won't get wins that way.
