Most destructive Virus EVER!!
WORST VIRUS EVER --- CNN ANNOUNCED
PLEASE SEND THIS TO EVERYONE ON YOUR CONTACT LIST!! A new virus has just been discovered that has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive ever. This virus was discovered yesterday afternoon by McAfee . This virus simply destroys Sector Zero from the hard disk, where vital information for its functioning are stored. This virus acts in the following manner: It sends itself automatically to all contacts on your list with the title: "A Card for You". As soon as the supposed virtual card is opened the computer freezes so that the user has to reboot. When the ctrl+alt+ del keys or the reset button are pressed, the virus destroys Sector Zero, thus permanently destroying the hard disk. Yesterday in just a few hours this virus caused panic in New York , according to news broadcast by CNN. This alert was received by an employee of Microsoft itself. So don't open any mails with subject: "A Virtual Card for You. " As soon as you get the mail, delete it !! Even if you know the sender !!! Please pass this mail to all of your friends. Forward this to everyone in your address book. I'm sure most people, like myself, would rather receive this notice 25 times than not at All ... |
fakey
This doesn’t look legit… more of a hoax from the way it’s written
|
I edited a bit to make it a bit clear. But even though itdoes'nt look legit you still should watch out.
|
Wow....This scares me. I agree with ottermi, it doesn't look legit.....>_>....
|
This was forwarded by 10 people alrweady by mail...
|
OK thanks for the warning, I already had a minor virus which was bad. I don't want to be getting the most desctructable virus ever!
|
Is your only source this email?
If there was such a virus, they'd proably announced it in the news. This sounds like a fake, I agree with the others. Quote:
I've received numerous emails forwarded from many people, talking about viruses spread through MSN and there wasn't anything true about it. This sounds like the same to me... |
FICTION!
It's a Virus hoax. If it were real, the antivirus companies would be all over this, not CNN. |
|
o_o; This goes in Computer/Technology Discussions. *moves*
|
I knew I was right about the virus!
|
O_O; ZOMG... I wanna get that virus! Cool!
Just joking. |
Yeah, I googled it and it's a hoax XD. I tend to ignore most of those messages... I just keep my AVG up to date and it takes care of most stuff.
|
this isn't needed
Quote:
I would never trust virus alerts coming in e-mail telling the recipient to "forward to all your friends" I make sure my anti-virus software is up-to-date and functional. (unlike a lot of folks who've come to me to have their computers fixed because of a virus problem, I'm sure) |
Ok than So can someone please lock this?
|
The easiest way to have it locked is just to report it or PM a higher staff member. :) *does so*
|
News = One of the best places to hear about the newest most destructive virus every. XD
Anyway... *Closed* |
