I think the only problem that I've came across with using Babbelfish is when you translate sites from Japanese to English, its not normal English. Its more like broken English, its kind of hard to explain.

Jack O'Neill February 4th, 2006 11:21 AM

Judaism is an ethnicity in the same way that Roman Catholicism is an ethnicity.

Babelfish isn't exactly 100% accurate.
As some people say. o.o

Random Plushie February 4th, 2006 11:22 AM

My first name doesn't belong to any ethnicity. o.o

Cloud_boy February 4th, 2006 11:23 AM

Somebody try to translate this on BabbelFish, to prove how sucky it is

"Callate el osico, o te doy un wamaso en la maceta."

A lot of that is slang so it won't be able to translate it properly.

THIRTY-SIX February 4th, 2006 11:25 AM

I know. XD; I've foiled it before 8D

Our German teacher used Babelfish to prove that. Some of the things came out so funny...XD

EDIT: I didn't get a good translation of that line, it left alot of the words the same. Well, unless it wasn't Spanish, I was just guessing it was o_O

Mystic February 4th, 2006 11:26 AM

'Callate the osico, or I give wamaso you in the flowerpot'

Is what I got when I put it into Babblefish. But then again, I translated it from Spanish.

THIRTY-SIX February 4th, 2006 11:26 AM

my name means "servant of...."

Charmz- I don't know, you tell me.

Lust- Just my point. if it won't translate the slang, then it sucks.

Otherways they probably would of translated better. o.o

Mystic February 4th, 2006 11:28 AM

Yeah, I thought something was kind of funny, expecially when Flowerpot was basicly the only thing that got really translated.

Thank god for the Tex-Mex language.

preety much what I said was "shut your mouth, or I'll give you a smack in the head"

Jack O'Neill February 4th, 2006 11:29 AM

I don't even think "flowerpot" was part of the original.
