Akio123 April 4th, 2006 12:08 PM

I can't remeber anyone but renji and Ichigo's.

THIRTY-SIX April 4th, 2006 12:16 PM

Akio123 April 4th, 2006 1:57 PM

Who can name every Bound so far that has been revealed?

Stevo-kun April 4th, 2006 4:33 PM

Here is some Fanart of Renji I have done ^^:..tell me what ya think

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82/Pokemon_Veteran2/My%20Art/RenjiDrawC.jpg

I didn't do a BG because I was focusing on Renji..
And sandal-hat is named Kisuke XD

Lucy Lu April 4th, 2006 10:52 PM

Nice drawing of Renji! I like it! ^^ Wow it is great to be back here in this club. I miss it. XD

Omg...I just can't wait til the two hour special of Bleach! Two hours?! How great is that?! It is like a movie. XD Dattebayo don't have it ready yet. ;; I guess I have to wait til Wednesday morning or afternoon. *is so anxious*

And your Sig/Avy set is totally awesome! Shiro! He totally rocks! He is my 3rd favorite. :3 2nd Favorite is Ichigo and first Renji!! ^^

THIRTY-SIX April 4th, 2006 11:54 PM

very nice renji, renji... xD
i dont htink its 2 hours... the file is only 275 mbs.. but it might be poor quality is all...
D: 45 minutes.... -.-

Stevo-kun April 5th, 2006 12:56 AM

It said in the last epi, that it was going to be..but who knows?..I am thinking an hour -_-..and now this is crazy..Funimation have bought out Dattebayo..the major dubbing company have..crazy I know..and it happened on April fools day too.

And thanks XD, glad you both like it ^^..and Renji is my fave, the Shiro and then Ichigo, kinda the same as Lucy's but in a different order XD

viridian doubletongue April 5th, 2006 8:51 AM

Nice drawing of Renji.

I really want to know what Matsumoto's Shikai is. We only see it's release, & it's name. It translates to Ash Cat.

Lucy Lu April 5th, 2006 10:26 AM

I want to see her Shikai too. I been wondering that. That is a cool name.

But anyway yeah it looks like it is going to be a hour. The file size looks like is a hour. x.x I thought it might be two hours, I guess I was wrong. Oh well I am glad I got it! *watching it now :3*

Huh? Funimation brought out Dattebayo? I hope it is a April Fools joke. D: Man if it isn't...they can't bring new episodes of it snice it is licensed already. ;; Well maybe...wow that is crazy news. I hope it isn't true.

Hmm..Interesting, Matsumoto's Shikai, I wouldn't mind seeing it too. And I can name the Bounto's/Bound's or whatewver too lol.

Unfortunately, the buyout of Dattebayo is no April fools joke, even though it happened on April Fools, the buyout is real and they are still going to sub BLEACH, hence why this weeks epi was subbed.

Just to warn you though, if you're ever curious about the 'Naruto 001' file, that is an April fools joke, even though Dattebayo never subbed Naruto from the first epi, that sub is a total joke, and not actually a very funny one either.

And I don't mind how it was one hour long, atleast it's longer than the original length, and I checked air dates of new epis on ANN and it seems that after the next epi airing next week..we have another 2 week wait for an epi >>;..seriously, they do that too often with BLEACH..it is really annoying

And the new intro and outro, I have to say, I quite like the intro, I know I will get used to it easy, "Tonight, Tonight, Tonight" is pretty good, and it's totally English, which was something I didn't expect and "Hanabi" is okay, it will take more getting used to then the intro for me. What'd you guys think of them?

Akio123 April 5th, 2006 4:10 PM

I agree also, did anyone see the two hour special yet?

Stevo-kun April 5th, 2006 4:24 PM

It wasn't really a 2 hour special..it was only 1 hour >>; and yes, I have seen in, and the new intro and ending that go with it XP

Stevo-kun April 6th, 2006 7:21 AM

I read the Chapter where he had a fight with his inner hollow when I got bored, but yeah, I know that he fights it again in the Manga.

viridian doubletongue April 6th, 2006 7:43 AM

Isn't it great to know someone who reads the manga?

Stevo-kun April 6th, 2006 8:03 AM

I don't read it much. I just read that chapter in random boredness. XD..and not everyone watches the Anime..especially being as it is in fillers

Akio123 April 6th, 2006 6:34 PM

I agree, also its not that I don't like manga, the BLEACH manga is not very appealing. Ussually, I read and watch an anime and read the manga of a series, bit the Bleach manga I don't really like. I guess, because manga never has fillers and generally ends quicker.

Stevo-kun April 6th, 2006 9:06 PM

I own 3 volumes of the BLEACH manga..the first 3, and I think it is quite good for a translated version, but I prefer to watch the Anime too.

I disagree, Akio. The Bleach manga is about five times as appealing as the anime.

Much of Kubo Tite's genius that he so lovingly infused into Bleach is lost in the translation from manga to anime. The awesome chapter title pages, the many music references, the unique outfits worn by each character day-to-day in the early manga. There is a lot more style to the manga, and it's kinda what sets Bleach apart from so many other Shonen manga. The best that the anime has done to reproduce this is the 1st and 4th openings, but those hardly do it justice.

Secondly, the anime totally botched the early storyline. Everything was, for some reason, centered around Grand Fisher; he was now manipulating Hollows into attacking Ichigo, as if he had a personal vendetta against Ichigo (or was just a powerful Hollow controlling others to get Ichigo for his consumption). This plot change is significantly more lame than the manga's version of events, and lame is never good. The sideplot also changed the origin of Sora (Orihime's brother) as a Hollow, and also led to the misconception that consumption by a Hollow turns that soul into a Hollow (which it doesn't; Hollows consume souls to feed on them, not to taint them. That happens naturally). Hinamori's sudden betrayal at Aizen's hands lost its impact by shadowing over the blade that had impaled her through an embrace with her former Captain, greatly lowering the significance of the scene. Similar edits were made to the episode in which Orihime recieves her powers---edits that totally destroyed the significance of Tatsuki's presence: the threats made by the Hollow towards 'Hime and Tatsuki were tame in comparison to their manga counterparts, the final seed fired into Tatsuki's head was not only completely unnoticable but also didn't kill her as in the manga, and the general feeling of danger was eliminated from the scene by the changing of blood to green slime. Because Tatsuki's death either didn't happen or wasn't at all clear, the scene lost any emotional impact that it had in its manga incarnation---and emotional impact is important for a scene like that. Orihime's powers were offset by her anger towards the Hollow and devotion towards her dead/dying friend, and this is somewhat lost on anime-only viewers.

Speaking of Orihime, she REALLY gets the shaft in the anime, personality building-wise. Her feelings for Ichigo are only very vaguely hinted at; in the manga, it is explicitly stated during Orihime's introductory scene (in a conversation with Tatsuki that was entirely cut from the anime), and it is a theme that continues throughout the series. Originally, one of the things that drove Sora into becoming a Hollow was Orihime's gradual neglect of talking to him about HIM, instead speaking of Tatsuki and Ichigo. That's why he attacked Ichigo in the manga: not because he was the helpless puppet of a more powerful Hollow, but because his Hollow instinct was sending him after those who he blamed for his despair (Ichigo, Tatsuki, and Orihime herself).

The moment in which the total neglect for the inclusion of Orihime's feelings for Ichigo is most felt, however, is during a scene soon after Rukia's departure from the Living World. In the manga, Orihime undergoes incredible character development, in the sense that she displays her first example of a negative emotion (jealousy). She confronts Ichigo about Rukia's disappearance outside the school, and goes on to give her opinion of what she assumes are his plans concerning the matter. She criticizes him for wanting to pursue Rukia; after all, who is he to take Rukia away from her family, her friends, and her home (note that this is before Orihime is aware of the actual situation)? Who is he to believe that she'd rather be with him than home? She calls him selfish, and I believe this to be her expressing a very deep desire to keep Ichigo there, with her, and to keep Rukia out of the picture (this is probably a subliminal want, keep in mind; Orihime likes Rukia fine, but on the other hand, she is probably jealous of the devotion shown by Ichigo towards Rukia). Of course, she knows very well that Ichigo would still do whatever he was going to do anyways (and says this), but I think it's interesting that she expressed her feelings on the matter. In the anime, however, Orihime gives a lame speech about how she supports Ichigo, and stuff. In their mysterious quest to eliminate all of Orihime's explicit feelings for the series' protagonist, they successfully removed a very important piece of character development that plays into the plot much later on. This trend of "feeling elimination" continues on into the Soul Society arc, which in itself is strange; Orihime's sole reason for travelling to Soul Society was the be with Ichigo (much like Chad, although that was based on an oath more than anything else). In the anime, it makes it seem like she was going for Rukia, but that doesn't make sense; she didn't know Rukia all that well. The two weren't particularly close. Orihime isn't like Ichigo. She doesn't go out trying to protect everybody that she can, just those relatively close to her. In fact, it isn't until the very late Soul Society arc that Studio Pierrot finally began including the hints of Orihime's feelings. The damage, however, is done.

I'm not saying that the anime is bad. I enjoy it greatly, and the majority of the Soul Society arc beautifully reproduced the manga's themes. But the manga is superior, I believe, and is probably the version of the show that should be experienced first and foremost.

Plus, the anime totally butchered the whole firework's festival scene. That part was hilarious in the manga.

Matsumoto's Shikai has been more or less revealed. Her blade turns to ash; she uses it against Kira to counter Wabisuke's weight-multiplaying effects.

I love the new opening, both in animation and music. Reminds me of the first opening, especially when it comes to style. It's probably my second favorite opening; the first and third are tied for my favorite, and the second is probably my least favorite (too un-Bleach, angsty, and cliché Shonen for my tastes. Uverworld's a good band, though).

viridian doubletongue April 7th, 2006 5:40 AM

Tatsuki dies! How could they cut that out!

The next time I get any money I'm going to buy as many manga volumes as I can afford.

See for yourself.

Of course, Tatsuki is revived and healed right back up by Orihime's powers, but yeah, she dies while protecting her (and that's what offsets said powers). That episode of the anime is probably my least favorite, just because they ruined that moment.

Sorry, I misunderstood the question about the Shikai. They seem to like doing that, showing us a brief glimpse of the Shikai without revealing its ability, or not showing the ability in action (in fact, I only know the general abilities of Ukitake, Kaien, and what exactly Yumichika's shikais because the Gamecube fighter elaborates on them). As far as we know, Matsumoto's blade turns to ash, and does something. Maybe it works a bit like Senbonzakura?

viridian doubletongue April 7th, 2006 6:52 AM

Maybe it can become ash, & then reform into a sword when she wants it to.

& we found out that Yumichika's absorbs energy from it's opponent & brings it back to him.

I have to agree, the new opening is really good, I loved it too, but I did like the second opening alot and I like UVERworld alot too as a band, but the first intro would be my least favourite, and then either Ichirin no Hana or Tonight, Tonight, Tonight. But that all depends on the person's taste for music and I respect that you don't like the 2nd intro much.

And what you said is a very valid point about the Manga, it really isn't that bad, not even the translated version is bad, they have even kept cursive words in it, which is quite surprising, being as they usually just take them out and replace them with something uncursive like 'git' or something, but they replaced a curse word with 'wanker' which is a cursive word, or considered one, which is quite surprising, and you are right there, it did show the real reason why he attacked them people, and not just because he was more powerful and such, I see how they have took out most of Orihime showing her feelings for Ichigo in the anime, they are only lightly shown int he Anime, whereas in the Manga, they are alot more strongly shown compared to the Anime.

But I do enjoy the Anime alot, the Manga's, no matter how you look at it or will disagree, they will be seriously superior to any Anime adaptation of it, being as the Manga, is the true unchanged and original storyline and nothing is changed in it, like you said with the styles etc, I like the manga alot myself, even though I have only read the first 2 volumes of the translanted manga, I find it really good, and it also let's me remember how much I loved BLEACH from the start, because of how funny it is, it was such a treat to watch and it still is. But on my note, I do prefer the Anime, just because it is like animated, and 'brought to life' in my opinion, you see and hear the person's personality, and how all the characters tie into one another, how much importance even some of the less important characters have, and it can really pull you in and make you crave more, you do still see alot of Kubo Tite's genious in the Anime, but alot more of it in the Manga, he really is a genious, and this Manga/Anime is one of the best I have seen, just one reason why I am so hoooked and no matter whether the Anime is in filler or not, I still want more of it, I don't want to miss out on it one bit. So I am on Kenta's side Akio, and what kind of reason is that for not liking the Manga? 'It generally ends quicker', no offense or anything, but I find that reason to be abit of a lame reason not to like the manga =/.

The reason it ends quicker, is because the Manga doesn't have the filler seasons that drag out the Anime, the filler is not written by Kubo, the company is just stretching it out to milk it for more money, no matter how much I like the fillers, I have to admit that the storyline is kinda lame compared to Kubo's original storyline, but fillers will happen to any really long Anime, like Naruto, they do this with alot of Animes.

viridian doubletongue April 7th, 2006 7:23 AM

Personally Asterisk (the first theme) was my favourite theme tune so far, but I haven't heard the most recent.

& My Pace, is my favourite ending closely followed by Life.

Akio123 April 7th, 2006 12:15 PM

@Kenta-kun:Well, that is my opinion and your long unecassary explanation why was not really needed.

Stevo-kun April 7th, 2006 1:06 PM

@Digital - Thankyou is my favourite ending. Then it is Life.

And if you don't mind, Kenta-kun, I made you Co-Owner

And Renji, position accepted! Thanks! On another note, being as you are an UVERworld fan, have you heard "Chance", their intro to the second Bleach PSP game?

Stevo-kun April 8th, 2006 12:01 PM

Yes, I have heard Chance!, I love that song. it is awesome too..I have all their songs that have been released so far. I have around 20..maybe a couple more than that.

And you're welcome, you seem to know alot, so I chose you ^^;.

Oh alright, I was a bit annoyed. Anyway, congrats!^^ And I have heard CHANCE on the Bleach PSP game. <---Has it.

Stevo-kun April 8th, 2006 2:24 PM

Hmm..that's cool that you have the BLEACH game, but I wouldn't get it, I hate Sony let along the PSP =/

I have the song on my comp anyways XD and my mp3 player.

Akio123 April 8th, 2006 2:30 PM

Also, as you know from MSN, I am always sending you song from High and Mighty Color and UVERworld.

Stevo-kun April 8th, 2006 2:32 PM

XD, but I already had UVERworld's..ever since I hear D-tecnoLife.

Akio123 April 8th, 2006 2:33 PM

I wish Crystal Kay would have done a BLEACH opening.

Stevo-kun April 8th, 2006 2:37 PM

Nah..it wouldn't suit it...BLEACH is more suited to Rock music rather than R&B..it needs the ROCK tunes XD

Lucy Lu April 8th, 2006 2:46 PM

I agree with you Stevo! Bleach has a rock music feel...it needs rock music. XD

I really enjoyed the new opening theme. The song is so catchy and I loved their clothes. XD The ending was pretty good too. It is a nice song. But as always my favorites is always will be D-techolife, Thank You, Happy People, Ichirin no Hana, and My Pace. ^__^

Oh, oh...I just found out when they are going deubt Bleach in Adult swim...in September.
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/
^Read the article that is called "Bleach Set for September Adult Swim Debut"-It is a very short article...so I don't know if it is true or not. *shugs* And it doesn't say if they going to air during the weeknight or weekend night. I hope they will air it on Saturday night. I am not so sure though.

Stevo-kun April 8th, 2006 2:53 PM

I see..well we don't have Adult Swim..so will it even air in England? *sighs*..this sucks..it has to air on a channel we don't get >>;..

Lucy Lu April 8th, 2006 2:57 PM

Oh yeah...I forgot...man you don't have Adult Swim? That is not good. >< But it is coming where you are, you just don't know what channel it will come on. Cheer up it will air. ^^ You will know.

Stevo-kun April 8th, 2006 3:01 PM

I know it will air, but we will probably end up getting the cut version, unlike you getting the unedited version -_-

Lucy Lu April 8th, 2006 3:06 PM

The cut version? ><; Noooo...I won't let that happen, it can't happen! Man...I hope you don't get the cut version. ;;

But I think we will have it edited...but the most will be the excessive blood. That is all. I think...I hope.

Stevo-kun April 8th, 2006 3:10 PM

Maybe, but atleast I will still have the sub

Lucy Lu April 8th, 2006 3:14 PM

Yeah ^^ You will still have the sub which it is good. I will look for DVDs that will have the Japanese track with English subs...and still download the later episdoes. XD I am not stopping now...I came too far. XDD

Akio123 April 8th, 2006 3:19 PM

I am still mad about the dubbing.

Stevo-kun April 8th, 2006 3:20 PM

Well my Full Metal Panic! DVD's have Japanese and English versions..so I would probably wait for them ^^:

Akio123 April 8th, 2006 3:31 PM

I would have waited for them myself.

Stevo-kun April 8th, 2006 3:43 PM

Because in the DVD's, you have more chance of it being unedited, that's why.

Akio123 April 8th, 2006 3:50 PM

I suppose I can see what you mean.

Stevo-kun April 8th, 2006 4:45 PM

Yeah, I just want to know how they intend to air it here, with no Adult Swim channel..XD

Akio123 April 8th, 2006 6:11 PM

Well probably ona regular channel you wouldn't expect or something else.

I doubt the blood will be a problem. FMA is one of the bloodiest animes I've seen (not in terms of the amount of blood, but in terms of how brutal it all is) and far as I noticed, not one bit of blood was editted out.

FMA can't be the bloodiest anime you have ever seen. It is Barney compared to Gantz and Samurai Gun. However, if you are talking in terms of Adult Swin then you are right.

I've lost all faith in toonami now. For a while it was getting better. We had new anime, coming in every few months. This was when it was known as CNX. As soon as the toonami takeover things started going bad. Now I think the only anime is Pokemon & One Piece. There isn't even any sign of DBZ! & that was the most popular, first anime on cartoon network. I have tried to get in touch with someone at toonami, but there doesn't seem to be much chance of doing anything about it.

Actually, DBZ is shown really early morning i think..just like Beyblade and the reason it isn't shown on Toonami any more, it because it finished years ago..infact, it finished before Beyblade did, you have to remember, there was also DBGT and that even finished before Beyblade did, that's the reason is isn't shown in the day..but it does suck how it's only One Piece and Pokemon now =/..and Toonami is owned by Cartoon Network..so it is more of a rename, then a takeover..and you forgot B-Daman >>;..which is crap...hopefully if they put BLEACH on there, it will redeem it somewhat and make up for the big losses of Beyblade and DBZ..

viridian doubletongue April 9th, 2006 5:23 AM

Oh yeah, B-Daman. I did an a-z check for DB/Z/GT & couldn't find it at all. Half the stuff on there defeats the purpose of having toonami & should be left to cartoon network.

Maybe we could start some sort of web petition or someting.

Akio123 April 9th, 2006 6:47 AM

@Renji: If it airs onn Toonami, they may have to heavily edit it.

jimbobjo April 9th, 2006 8:34 AM

Kenta-kun April 9th, 2006 10:20 AM

As long as Bleach isn't dubbed like Naruto was dubbed...well, it's airing on Adult Swim, so they should be a bit more lenient. But stuff still gets edited on there...my mind jumps to the lake bathing scene in 08th MS Team.

Stevo-kun April 9th, 2006 3:07 PM

Well, I guess we just have to wait until September to see how it turns out

I agree, I mean they gave Naruto as a bad a dub as One Piece.*Curse 4Kids*
What would happen if BLEACh was liscened by the universal evil known as 4KIDS?
Well as we all know they would Americanize the names and I believe we would all lose our taste for BLEACH.

Stevo-kun April 10th, 2006 8:47 AM

If 4Kids dubbed it, I just wouldn't watch it and keep to the subbed, which I was going to do anyways

Very nice. It's a very professional-looking sig, that's for sure. I'm not too familiar with the character, as I haven't watched the Bleach filler episodes(I probably will eventually, as I have heard that it's not all that bad), but it's an excellent sig nonetheless.

The only thing about the filler arcs that I find a it annoying is the fact that one of the Bound Urryu keeps relating to his mother.

They really aren't bad for filler, the storyline can't compete with the original, but it is still pretty good and satisfying to watch, just because it's BLEACH..some of the epis in my true opinion, could have been alot better, but for the most part they are good.

THIRTY-SIX April 12th, 2006 1:15 AM

if people were wondering its this sig =P

Stevo-kun April 12th, 2006 10:06 AM

Yeah, I saw that..and Orihime is <3 lol

And no Bleach for 2 weeks..this is going to be murder ><;

Next Bleach airing is May 2nd

Kenta-kun April 12th, 2006 10:59 AM

I was wondering what they were doing with that particular scene from the opening, actually, and why the others weren't in it. Maybe by the end they'll have the whole groupshot? That's actually one of my favorite manga colour spreads, I'm glad they decided to include it.

Yeah, it would be nice to see that, I love the coloured manga spread group pics..and that seems like it could be a possibility..they have done Orihime and Renji, so, any predictions of who will be next?

Kenta-kun April 12th, 2006 2:37 PM

I'm gonna put a vote in for Ichigo. He seems the most-prominent of the remaining 3 characters.

Stevo-kun April 12th, 2006 2:52 PM

Yeah, it will probably be Ichigo next, or Rukia

Lucy Lu April 13th, 2006 3:42 AM

Yeah I noticed that little change in the opening. RENJI!! XD I think it might be Ichigo or Ishida...don't know yet. It was great and the episode was awesome. I wish the battle between Ichigo and Ichinose was longer. But it was nice. ^^ And yeah...got to wait til May 2nd now....man it is going to be murder man...murder. D:

Oh well I got the 2nd OVA to keep me busy and other things....*sigh* Oh and Lunar finally got the 2nd OVA subbed. They did a great job I am going to save that one. ^^

Omg I got pic to show you guys. I know how to take screeshots. Thanks Stevo! ^^ Got a few from the 2nd OVA. ^^
http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/7092/rukiadrawings9bb.th.jpg
LOL! Rukia and her drawings. XD I have more where that come from.

Stevo-kun April 13th, 2006 9:43 AM

Huh?..The other people that subbed it first did a good job too, why wait on Lunar? x_X. I mean, the other people did it within a couple of days.

I am gonna go with Ichigo..XD

Well yeah I did watch it with the other people. But then I deleted that one. So then when I saw Lunar subbing it, I got it again. It was soo good I didn't know why I deleted it the first time. I just love the 2nd OVA. I am not going to delete this one. XD

You might be right, Ichigo could be next. XD Dang it still got to wait til May 2nd. ;;

THIRTY-SIX April 13th, 2006 11:52 AM

i want it to be chad or ishida next...

Stevo-kun April 13th, 2006 1:56 PM

Out of them two. I think Chad is more possible..he seems to be of more importance for some reason..

Akio123 April 13th, 2006 2:14 PM

I agree with you on Chad being more probable.

Simon April 13th, 2006 4:02 PM

Anyone read chapter 222 yet? Ichigo's Hollow looks friggin' awesome...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/demonchaos016/hollow2.png

Kenta-kun April 13th, 2006 6:12 PM

Well, it could only be Ichigo, Rukia, or Chad, as they're the only ones in the original picture (I'll post it here later, gotta leave soon).

Lucy Lu April 14th, 2006 1:33 AM

I just have a feeling it will be Ichigo next. I don't know...I just have a feeling. XD

And that pic of Hollow Ichigo looks kinda of scary. XD But it looks cool. I am soo behind from the manga. I am waiting for vol. 12.

viridian doubletongue April 14th, 2006 1:56 AM

I've read those chapters where those Hollow Ichigo pictures are from. In the second picture that's just before He's about to fire a cero.

Stevo-kun April 14th, 2006 2:03 AM

Wow. his hollow looks awesome, I might read that chapter lol

THIRTY-SIX April 14th, 2006 2:05 AM

do you buy them from the store or.. get them from the net? :3

viridian doubletongue April 14th, 2006 2:07 AM

You can download them on bleach exile.

I would suggest downloading the manga online and giving it a read. The current story arc is pretty good, plus the Vaizards are awesome.

viridian doubletongue April 14th, 2006 9:49 AM

I want Ichigo to learn to be able to control his hollow to a point like the Vaizards can. Where he can materialise a mask on will, & stop the hollow coming out when he doesn't want it to.

Kenta-kun April 14th, 2006 9:51 AM

That would be cool, but I don't think Ichigo really wants to control the Hollow. Seems to me like he wants to suppress it, although the ending of 222 sorta implies that he has more control over it (what with the full mask on a Shinigami body, and all).

viridian doubletongue April 14th, 2006 9:57 AM

Yeah. The way he kind of told the hollow who had control, & ripped away from the hollow.

I like trying to work out all the backstory & philosophy in Bleach. Thinking that shinigami's & hollows are exact opposites. & that the zanpakutou is the equivalent of the hollows mask. & about what zangetsu is in terms of the hollow side & the shinigami side.

Stevo-kun April 15th, 2006 5:14 AM

The Zanpakutou is not the equivalent of the hollow's mask o.O. And Zangetsu is Ichigo's Zanpakutou, Ichigo's hollow side is Ichigo's fighting spirit or whatever you wish to call it.

viridian doubletongue April 15th, 2006 7:29 AM

Not exactly.

& I'm just saying some possibilities.

Stevo-kun April 15th, 2006 5:08 PM

Okay..and why do you think Ichigo's hollow always comes out when he is getting wooped?..because his fighting spirit is low..and that allows the hollow side of him to take over.

Lucy Lu April 16th, 2006 12:48 AM

Great point! I was thinking why Ichigo's Hollow side has been coming out. Like when he battled with Bakuya. He was losing and his Hollow side came out, but only a little. Ichigo stopped him for taking him over. So yeah I agree that logic.

And I don't download manga from the computer. I just rather buy the manga when it comes in a volume. That way I will get to read more chapters in one volume. That is the way I feel. *shugs*

viridian doubletongue April 16th, 2006 6:05 AM

It's because he's weak & his hollow is able to grasp more control of his body & become dominant.

& earlier I was speaking figuratively.

Stevo-kun April 16th, 2006 7:13 AM

Okay, and you just basically said half of what I said, I said he thinks he is going to lose, therefor his spirit is low, and for a guy like Ichigo that means alot. Being as Ichigo is more of a fighter. And the hollow inside him takes over revitalizing his spirit.

Kenta-kun April 16th, 2006 8:18 AM

I don't really think Ichigo's Hollow side is his "fighting spirit"...it's just his Hollow side. By all accounts, it shouldn't be there; Ichigo is a freak fusion of Shinigami and Hollow, which aren't meant to exist alongside one another (all Urahara's fault, of course, even if I do believe it was accidental; it was the Shattered Shaft incident that did it to him). The reason why the Hollow side seems to represent power and stuff could be because the fusion makes him even stronger than he could have been normally, due to the fact that such a combination breaks the natural "power caps" that normal Shinigami or Hollows have. But the Hollow doesn't represent anything about Ichigo; it's just there, really.

And I suppose you could say that the Hollow mask is a like a Zanpakutou; the Zanpakutou represents Ichigo's Shinigami abilities, while the mask represents the presence of a Hollow deep within him. Like Shinigami and Hollows themselves, the mask and the sword are like two sides of the same coin.

Stevo-kun April 16th, 2006 8:42 AM

Well maybe not, but to some extent it is..but for the most part it is there because of the Shattered Shaft just like you said..but you do have to admit that when he is getting beat..his spirit is never high and that he is always like "sorry that he let everyone down"..and sometimes it sounds a little pathetic coming from Ichigo. Take the Kenpachi fight for example.

And if so..which side would be heads and which would be tails?..Just for a funny kinda subject..I would say the Mask would be heads and the Zanpakutou would be tails..heh.

viridian doubletongue April 16th, 2006 8:54 AM

Yeah good question.

Here's another I found somewhere else.

Quote:

When Byakuya tossed his scarf down at Renji, was he really thinking
"I acknowledge you as a man worthy of the nobility symbolised by this precious heirloom scarf"
or was he thinking
"Ew, peasant blood"?

Stevo-kun April 16th, 2006 9:11 AM

I would say the second, just because Bakuya is so stuck up and stuff XD
