Magic: The Gathering

Can someone tell me how to play?

Avenging Angel February 28th, 2006 7:34 PM

Well, its simple. I would give you a full tutorial my myself, I have played for 5 years. But I'm lazy >_>

Here is something that might help you with the basics. Just remeber one thing, Monsters don't attack Monsters . You wouldn't belive how many people keep on doing that >_<. If you need anymore help, reply or just send me a PM.

That may help with the basics but this may be more efficent. It's how I learned the game and it is useful. If you read the rules
step by step it proves to be more interesting than Yu-gi-oh in some ways. Good luck with it.

It may seem intimidating at first, but once you read through the rulebook once, you can pick the game up in about a day or two. Combat is the most confusing part of the game IMO.

Many of the other rules you'll learn as you play the game.

I think it would be much easier to find a person in your area and have him or her teach you how to play in person rather than read a bunch of text online.

Dude I learned to play in like 5 minutes. I learned everything too. It's not even remotely hard to learn imo.:\

the only thing you really have to pay attention to is the constant changing of abilities, which they usually have reminder text for anyways, and the words that a lot of people use to describe an effect
Ex: bounce = return to hand
