How good is Emerald??

well i know its the same thing as ruby and sapphire, but is there anything new to it? i might try it out, but i dont know if i want to. if its the same as ruby and sapphire, then i dont want to get it.

djvolcom March 2nd, 2006 5:05 AM

i'll just get a rom, before i buy it

Blastoise March 2nd, 2006 5:35 PM

Considering that you can get so many Legends in it, I say it's fully worth the money. It's seriously Ruby/Sapphire on steroids, and I love it. I'm currently trying to train Keeta (my Hariyama) so I can beat the Elite 4. ^_^

IMO ubers are Pokédex fillers. All you need is one with a good nature/effort split, anyway. I still think Emerald is worth it, since you get the amazing Battle Frontier and the breeding improvements.

Thank you someone agrees with me. the reason why i bought Emerald Version is because of the Animations and the Battle frontier.

It's somewhat like Ruby&Sapphire but the sprites are terrible animations

shanecdavis March 6th, 2006 7:57 AM

While they are terrible, at least they are animated.

Karrit March 6th, 2006 9:09 AM

I don't think the animations were so bad. Not the best mind you, but I've seen worse. Still I think Emerald is worth the money for the new stuff, especially the Battle Frontier.

All Pokemon contest have left and all went to Lilycove. But in those cities there are battle tents and they are giving a taste of the Battle frontier.

Emerald has a lot more features than S/R do. Like:

Moving Pokemon
Battle Frontier
Better Grapihes
G/S/C Pokemon At The Safari Zone
You Can Catch Groudon And Kyogre

And a whole lot more, so I think you should buy it. It Rocks! :)

Egyptian Sphinx March 7th, 2006 7:36 PM

Emerald in my opinion is a great pokemon game plus it is worth buying it as it has so many features

Karrit March 8th, 2006 12:38 PM

The Battle Frontier is taking me way longer to play thna the islands in FR/LG. I like the challenges. =)

Egyptian Sphinx March 8th, 2006 12:56 PM

the battle frontier is cool which it's hard to do.

~*!*~Tatsujin Gosuto~*!*~ March 8th, 2006 1:35 PM

Its not really that hard. But anyways not only that but you can also catch Rayquaza earlier.

a lot of ppl said things already....so i won't repeat it but IF u have sapphire or ruby, i don't think its worth buying.....i mean its ALMOST the same but not many changes. i have emerald and sapphire and i think they're kinda the same but if u don't have r/s...its worth getting emerald ^^

shanecdavis March 8th, 2006 1:51 PM

I will have to respectfully and adamantly disagree. There are numerous posts here that go into all the many enhancements that have been made to the Emerald version that makes it a MUST GET for Pokemon enthusiasts, regardless of the fact that you already have Ruby or Sapphire. Go get it!

i'm just saying i think i got a point. i mean, r u really going to spend money on getting a game thats close 2 r/s? if some 1 doesn't have 1 of those then i say get emerald. i'm just saying its a waste of money. u won't even like it that much if u have r/s. but if u don't care about the money either.....then just go get it. -_-

There is more to that then a remake of Ruby and Sapphire. Like it was mentioned above with the other post.

Sorry, but have to respectfully disagree again. It is DEFINITELY worth the money, for all of the reasons listed in the many posts above that go into great detail about what Emerald has in it that Ruby or Sapphire doesn't.
