Playstation3, nintendo rev.,or xbox360
If you got one of these game system free witch one would you choose?
|
Polls about games or game systems go in Other Games, not Other Voting Polls. ^^; I moved it. I didn't see a recent poll about this. @[email protected] *hopes she didn't miss it*
I'm sorry if this isn't allowed. *runs away* XD |
Rev and 360 since it looks like the PS3 will be $600+
|
If I had a chance, I'd get them all. XD. But I'll only be able to get the Revo and PS3.>_>
|
actually PS3 is going to be $300
Nintendo rev will be $200. |
Quote:
Excuse me!?! $300!?! What are your sources? The European VP has revealed some price points. €499 or €599. Which is $613 or $736 USD, which is $712 or $855 Canadian. $600, $700, $800? Nowhere near $300. I won't argue the Revolution's price though. Iwata has said that he wants it under $500. |
I pre ordered it from a game store for $345.
I dont remember what store. |
Quote:
Anyway, Revolution all they way! |
Quote:
Anyways, I'm just all for the Revolution... the others are just pricey...>> |
I'm all for the Nintendo Revolution; next generation Pokémon games are clearly going to be for Revolution.. Why would I want to miss out on those? ♥
|
Naminé definitely chooses the PS3.
She does so simply because most of the RPG game companies sided with PS2, and most likely they'll directly transfer to PS3 to continue their RPG game making process. In reality she is not getting any of them due to all of their prices, but if she can buy any one of them, it will have to be the PS3. |
I may actually betray my PlayStation roots and go get the Xbox 360 first because it's a lot cheaper than the projected prices of the PS3 and Revolution.
Still... I will get all 3 systems in a span of 2-5 years, once the prices get down there. Paying upwards of $500 for a system is stupid, no matter if it's all the rage. |
Notice still no votes for the 360, I don't think we'll hear from Microsoft for a long while if ever...to bad they did what Sega did with the Dreamcast...Sony just waited them out like the smart people they are.
I can't wait to hear about the PS3 at E3 this May...I still know next to nothing on the Revolution...I don't even think Nintendo really has a strong idea either...but I could be surprized. |
360 is for types of people who won't come to this forum, so it's not a very accurate result here. What the 360 got is its "compatibility" (we all know what that means, right?) Also, the types of games that Microsoft got like Doom 3, or NiS series probably won't appeal too well to anime/pokemon fans. Anime is too geeky/no-life/childish for 360 supporters.
It got its world, just not this one. |
The 360 has minimal support from Japanese devlopers and no games that interest me at the moment. But I cant really say much for PS3 or Nintendo since very little in the terms of information about games, specs, etc. has been "officialy" released for them. I will probably wait it out for Revolution, as someone else stated: I really cant see myself paying $600 for ANY gaming system.
At E3 this year our eyes should open wide O_O; Quote:
|
360. Why? Because one game announced for it appeals to me.
That game being Dead Rising. Of course I'll be changing my mind when a more appealing title is announced for the Rev. Still, ZOMBIES! SHOPPING MALLS! RANDOM VIOLENCE! It's all there for this game. |
I'll wait until we know more about the Rev. and PS3 before I come to a decision. However, I'll never touch another Microsoft system after the crappy original Xbox. From what I've heard, the 360 isn't much better.
|
For me nintendo revolution I have all ways been A big nintendo fan so I will go with that and I like the games on nintendo consoles.
|
Bah. Rev.
1. Rev rules. The controller rules. The download-any-non-handheld-game-from-other-Nintendo-systems thing rules (If it is still true...) 2. 360 is full of bugs and crap, and I estemate 89% of people DON'T like Microsoft's consoles, including me. 3. I've always thought of Sony's consoles as cheep ripoffs of Ninty consoles. They stuff all their consoles with extra crap nobody really wants or needs and then they overprice it. (PSP, anyone? Come ON! DVD player? Internet Keyboard? BAH! We already have that stuff! Besides, in my mind, it's a copy of GBA stuffed with crap and priced at $200+, and Sony's just trying to be beter than Nintendo, which they will never be.) |
I'll be getting all three systems. But the Rev will be at the top of my list.
Rev: This system I can't wait for, because it's going to be great. The idea of the controller is going to be so sweet for FPS games, spots games and all that. I can't to just play a sword fighting game. And I'll also be downloading some old NES, SENS, N64, Sega Gen games (yes Metal Sonic, downloading old games is true). PS3: As much as I want to play an FF game, or a great RPG (the best RPGs are on Sony's systems) the PS3 is going to be sky high on the price. I'd say $500-800 dollars in price. Right off the bat I can't pay for that, so I'll have to wait till Chrismas of 07 to get it. 360: There's one reason and one reason only that Microsoft is getting one red cent from me for one of their systems. I don't care about the XBox, I don't care about the 360. But I don't want any game gaps. I don't want to sit there and go "I'd like to play that game but it's not on the PS3 or Rev". So that's the only reason why I'm getting the 360. |
N-Reev baby. It is the best. Also you can download some Sega gaames too.
|
I love how everyone missed the "for free" part. I've no interest in getting an X-Box 360, so I'd definitely go with the PS3. I want both that and the Rev, and since almost every source points toward the Revolution being the cheaper of the two, I'd rather pay for that one rather than the more expensive one.
I'll reply to this as if I'm not supposed to read the first post though. XD; Honestly, it'll depend on the launch titles to govern what I'm going to get first. I mean, most of the games I play are on the PS2 so any sequels in the series, etc. will likely be transferred to the PS3 and thus it's logical for me to get that. But I also really like Nintendo, so...I'm kinda stuck there. Chances are my brother and I will buy the Rev and beg for the PS3, or at least for my parents to pay a portion of it, as a gift. x_X; |
I'm going with the rev, simply because it's going to have 20 launch titles and already most of them interest me =/. Also, Red Steel looks like awsomeness.
|
Revolution all the way, so I can play just about every known Nintendo game on the planet (and a few Sega games too) Plus who doesn't think those controls are cool?
X360 doesn't have too many games that appeal to me, and PS3's WAY beyond my budget. |
Always gone a had Nintendo not giving up on them now, never owned an Xbox or PSX or PS2
|
Yeah news to Rev wanters: Red Steel was announced as a launch title, and the few screenshots released give us a good glimpse into the Revs graphical power. Personally i think its looks killer especially if this system is going to be in the $200-300 range. I had my doubts but the Big N seems to have its cards right finally. That and this game was built from the ground up to fully utilize new controller. Mmm FPS (on Nintendo!) with guns AND swords :D cant get much better than that.
Here is a link to the screenshots (the subimage in each frame is showing how it will be played), Game Informer magazines new issue has the full preview. http://www.gameshout.com/news/nintendo_revolution_red_steel_release_for_revolution_console/article4745.htm |
A Rev. for sure, I dont like PS_. And I've always loved all nintendo systems.
I've also never been too fond of XBox's either. |
I would pick PS3, if I got one of those for free.
|
I would have to choose Xbox 360 Mainly because of HALO 3!!! if you are a true halo fan you would have been seeing all the rumors about it. also it is backwards combatable(only with the really popular games though:disappoin ), tons of memory and changable plates. i also want Oblivion and fable 2 (not the lost chapters) then i would choose the revo
But nothing in life is free!!! (think about it[i know it is a what if question]) |

Revolution. Red Steel looks great. The PS3 follows closely, I'll be getting a Rev and a PS3. No 360.
|
considering that I allready got a 360 and I dont want a PS3, I would go for a nice Rev.
|
Was waiting long time for X-Box 360 but it isnt really well
and also i dont like play station so i voted for nin because of mario, zelda, pokemon and etc. Nintendo has the most intrested games for me:=) |

Playstation 3. It seems like the games are going to be alot more fun. Then again, that New Rev controller has me thinking.
|
PS3 all the way. it will be the most amazing console(at least for me).
It will have great games like the end of metal gear solid and devil may cry 4. |
Yeah, PS3 Causo of all teh crazy features and stuff. I was planningon getting 360 fro Halo 3 but... I never got around to it... :D
|
I prefer X-BOX 360 because, It has awesome graphics, i have one, i love the games on it, and i'm addicted to achievements! lol
|
The PS3 is my favourite out of all them. Mainly because I've been a fan of Sony since the PS1 came out. Also, Sony has my favourite games. I hope Summoner 3 comes out, that'd be awesome. Tekken 6 should be good as well.
|
Nintendo revolution allll the way wooo!
|
My friend told me that Nintendo rev. was gunna be called Nintendo Wee or something like that! I don't know about that. Is that true?
Anyway, I think that PS3 is gunna be better than all of em. I've played X box 360 and it is pretty cool, but i can't wait till Halo 3 comes out! So maybe when I play Halo 3 when it comes out, I'll like X-box 360 better! But till them, i thing ps3 is gunna be MUCH better! |
For Free? Yea...PS3 hands down, if they're charging as much as they are for a PS3 when they got stiff competition with Nintendo and Microsoft, the PS3 must be one bad boy so obviously I'd take that. But if I had to buy one on the spot it would be the Nintendo Wii. Easier on the pocket book and it looks really fun, especially with that new Zelda game. And I'll wait until the price goes down for the PS3 because I have patience and I've never been much of an X-Box guy.
|
the rev and 360 at the price of 1 ps3
|
If I had to take one for FREE I would take the PS3...then sell it and buy a Wii and 360.
|
Nintendo Wii is gonna kick *** and take names! Can't wait for its relase.
|
I'll get a Wii just to see the controller. The thing made me laugh my a-- off.
As for the ps3, if it turns out that the 'tabloids' are true, I'll go with the higher priced one for the features. |
I will pick the Nintendo Revolution. I'm a real fan when it comes to Nintendo and PS3 doesn't llok that good. But the Xbox 360 has a new game that I want but it comes out in 2007 (another Gran theft auto game). Its only for the Xbox 360.

Nintendo Rev.
600$ for a PS3 is too much! |
Buying a PS3 will be a waste of your money, and you know it. No good games for it, the cost isn't worth it, you don't even buy the games for it, just the rights to play it (which means you can't trade them in or sell them or whatever. That's right, Son'y being stingy again), and they have to steal ideas from Nintendo to sell their rubbish. And they stole the idea of two different hard-drives from Microsoft, but no one likes Microsoft now, do they?
You know why they've got a tilt-controller now and not their stupid boomerang? Because THEY invented the boomerang. And anything Sony makes is utter crap. So they had to get an idea... Nintendo always has the best ideas, so of course they decided to steal from them. http://youtube.com/watch?v=DJ5PY9CS9TA And there you have it. The PS3's stupid controller is matched by an old Gameboy Color game, before the PS3 is even released. Sony hates you and wants you to spend all your money on their expensive and non-durable crap. Fun anyone? How about no. What are all the special features of the consoles? The 360 has the power of a good computer (though there are those of us who've had better since before its release, so no one cares) The Wii has the magic wand, and the downloadable games. And the PS3 has it's over-inflated price. That is so cool </sarc> |

I'd go with Xbox 360. I'm not sure why, but something about it catches my eye. I haven't gotten one yet, but I plan on doing so. I'm going to reopen this poll also.
|
Even if the Wii will let you download games from the good ol' days, Sony and the PS3 WILL STILL WIN!!
Sony has the older gamer fanbase that they appeal to and third party company support. If Nintendo realized what they did back in 1991, they would have never signed that SNES-CD rom deal with Sony and stab them in the back. |
I think Nintendo has a really really great chance of taking the number 1 spot again. And here's my reasons...
360: There aren't all that many good games on the 360, and more or less nothing new from the XBox (better graphics and that's about it). If it's just more or less the same then it's not going to go far. Everyone goes on about the great great graphics it has, well the PSP has better graphics then the DS but the PSP is getting it's butt kicked on the handheld sells. On top of that unless they got Japan backing them they'll never end up at the number 1 spot. PS3: Three words "It's that freaken $600 dollar price tag" (ok so it wasn't three XD). How many PC members will buy a PS3 with that price tag? Infact how many PS2 owners will buy a PS3 with that price tag. I don't care how old you are, $600 dollars is no drop in the bucket ($60-70 dollar games, and a few other things like controller or two, maybe some cables and so on). With the price of the PS3 around here that's like 226 gals of gas. With the gas prices the way they are teens (that's in school and College) will be looking at $600 for a game system or $600 for gas and food. It's not low enough for people to go "Well I just played the PS3 so I think I'm going to get it". "Sony has the older gamer fanbase" I think they do (I do own more PS2 games then GC games). But them old gamers grew up on something, and I bet it wasn't something with "Sony" in it's name. When I was a kid I had an SNES and a Sega Genesis. And I bet many of them old gamers would love to play a game they had when they was a kid, games they got and played all day on a Saturday. And can Sony offer them the old games they played? Wii: I'd like to know 5 major downsides to the Wii (no one start on the name XD). It's graphics maybe, it's lack of HD (yea that's going to kill everyone), anything else? To me the Wii has a big fighting chance to be the king of this gen. The price is going to be $200-250, far better then the $600 for the PS3 and $400 for the 360. Parents will love that price when they go out and buy Christmas gifts for their kids. And them teens that had to pick a PS3 or gas won't have to make such a big choice when it comes to gas or the Wii. With that low price tag people might buy a PS3 and a Wii or a 360 and a Wii, it might be a second system everyone buys (even the Sony and Microsoft hot shots said buy their system and the Wii). And then there's the controller, that alone will pull in tons on PC FPS people. Then you got the sword fighting, and sports, driving and lots of others. That system will put you right there in the game. Right now you click buttons to play an FPS or swing a sword and so on. That controller will have you there shooting, and there swinging like you were right there in the game. The controller is strange enough to pull in people just wanting to try it. And then you got the Virtual Console (being able to download old games), who here has an old NES/SNES/N64 and you wish you had this and that game for it? I'd love to go back and play some of the games I rented on my SNES years and years ago. Well once the Wii comes out I'll be able to do so. And I'm sure almost anyone that posts in this thread that had an NES/SNES/N64 wishes they could play games they rented long ago, or played over at a friend's house. There are so many selling points to the Wii that it might out do the other two. The controller, the price, the Virtual Console, the gameplay, the games (Mario, Zelda, Metroid etc), heck even the size might help. I'm not saying "Nintendo is so going to own the other two systems" I'm getting the PS3 and 360. I'm just saying Sony and Microsoft offers nothing new, they offer nothing new with a jacked up price tag. How many plays games because of the graphics? Don't most of us play for gameplay? You won't find better gameplay then what you'll find on the Wii. The Sony/Microsoft fanboys out here will go "My system will so own all the others.", I say ok, but lets see you back that up with some reasons why it will beat all the others. |
I pretty much agree with every thing positive said abou the Wii. I can't think of anything to add. I think the poll says it all.
Thanks Arcanine, for once again (About the 50th time! LOL) telling us why the Wii is awsome. |
uh...after listening to the recent posts INCLUDING the first one....guys and girls,...I'm pretty sure the first guy said "if you got one of these game system for free, which would you choose?"*for the people talking about prices....^_^ no negativity...*
anyway, either Ps3 or Rev.(no darn way you'll see ME normally calling it the Wii...)Ps3 for the...I dunno...I think they're making a FF7 remake..aren't they?...and the Rev. for of course,.....SSBbrawl,and many other games I heard of... and by the way, when does the Revolution come out?....and the games for it?.... |
Actually now the sony company is making ps3'sfor 800$ and selling them for
around 500-550$ (its a good present for X-mas) |
ok,yea, but I still wanna know when the Revolution came out...I didn't watch E3... and if you say something stupid about it you're a nerd..it was boring...
|
PS3.
Not only because I've followed the Playstation all my life, but because of one key reason: the remake of Final Fantasy VII...*love* Another reason: the Rev. is like the DS--only good for games built for it. If they manage to make a whole lot of innovative games that are simply brilliant (other than fishing--that seems to be the only thing I can think of that can use just a remote control), I might get curious and buy it, but I'm too into average gameplay. For the 360...well, it's pretty much the same as PS3 but has better graphics and the controller is too large for my small little hands ._.; No hard feelings n_n |

anyway, i would go with the wii. arcanine hit it on the head. |

PS3 price is $499 for a 20 gig model, $599 for a 60 gig model, unless they changed it. Even the cheaper of the two prices is enough to make me shy away from wanting it right now.
But since price appears to not be a factor in this poll: Even if I didn't have to worry about console prices, I would still go for the Wii as a first choice by far. My main reason: there's more to it that caught my attention - there are currently more games coming out for it that I would love to try than there are games that even interest me for other systems. The only non-Wii game that really caught my eye at this time was FFXIII - and while I'm an FF fan, even just that isn't enough to make me want to buy a whole system. Plus...I really want to try out the Wii's controller. O_o That looks like fun. As for the X-box 360...eh. Never had any real interest in that. |
I would go with the Wii. It's just awesome. XD
Now if I got one for free, I'd get the PS3 since it's most expensive and it's powerful. |
I will go with Wii and PS3 because Wii has the best controller but the PS3 has the best graphics and the price of the ps3 will be 500$(2o GB) and 600 $(60GB)US and canadien it will be between 599$ and 650$. The Wii will cost 199$ to 250$ US.

Change my mind
Im changing my mind. A bunch of my friends told me that PS3 copied features from Nintendo Rev. and X-Box 360. My friend has X-Box 360 and its so cool. So now i gatta say its X-Box 360. Once NR comes out, ill say weather i like it more or not.
|
I voted for the Wii because of the games that it has. SSBB, LoZ:TP, Super Mario Galaxy, plus you could download games from SNES, NES, Genesis and other systems that I can't remember.
