Dragonite makes a great Boltbeaming Subpuncher.

[email protected]
Nature: Quiet
-Ice Beam
-Focus Punch
-Substitute
-Thunderbolt

Its similar to a BOAH set for Tyranitar, except Tyranitar has Crunch instead of Ice Beam.

Man, get me a barf bag! go with Yo momma except Rash > Quiet

Ice demon May 29th, 2006 3:22 PM

yea..rash on that draggy set.
subpunch boltbeam draggy really begs for 100 base HP.

You can also Try -

Dragonite[adamant]@choice band/leftovers
-thunder
-focus punch/dragon dance
-aerial ace[or HP flying]
-earthquake

FP with CB evidently.

ingame dragon dancing is cool..no phazers what so ever.

DD is really fun, especially on big attackers like Salamence and Dragonite.

Ice Demon, I like your alternate set except for the fact that I recommend Fire Blast over Thunder to take on Ice-types. Thunder is good against Water and Flying and those types aren't as much of a threat. That's just my opinion though.

Demonta May 30th, 2006 8:09 AM

good point yomama, though flamethrower would be better I think.

Well, Thunder isn't as inaccurate too. People don't usually do Flamethrower with an Adamant Nature. There's not too many Ice-types, so you might as well sweep them with Fire Blast before Ice Beam hits.

You're forgetting the important fact that Water types with Ice Beam are so much more common than Ice types. Sure you'll run into a Regice pretty often, but Fire Blast won't even scratch it anyway.
Thus, making Thunder more useful than Fire Blast. Not to mention it takes care of Gyarados, too.

Lord Mike May 30th, 2006 8:35 AM

You got a point there. You see many Water-types these days.

Ice demon May 30th, 2006 8:50 AM

thunder is really to hit suicune and milo and what not on the switch. You can also try heal bell on the CB set over thunder, though i dont exactly recommend it.

Lord Mike May 30th, 2006 8:57 AM

I guess I was proved wrong.
