With dugtrios about, Raikou dosent make a good starter.Needs less speed and a bit more SAtk IMO

Kou is about all I can help you with Umby :\

gerudodragon1 June 18th, 2006 8:15 AM

your curselax should lose earthquake for shadowball. if you look in the breeders corner on the forum "pass the cheese" i listed a bunch of good snorlax move sets.

Fr0st June 18th, 2006 12:12 PM

Shadowball is onli used on curselax if you have Gengar Problems but he obviously has no sort of problem. I am a earthquake user as well because Metagross and Tyranitar come in and ruin Snorlax's fun all the time... You have a very small DDtar weak but you can prolly work around it with Starm, Lax, and pert

gerudodragon1 June 19th, 2006 9:15 AM

but if you sent out tyranitar or metagross he could just switch to dugtrio.

Lord Mike June 19th, 2006 11:19 AM

Ash withdrew Snorlax.
Ash sent out Dugtrio.
-------------------------------
Tyranitar used Earthquake
(271 damage)
Dugtrio fainted
-------------------------------

Hmmm. I wonder?

gerudodragon1 June 19th, 2006 3:06 PM

what if you max out dugtios Atk nd Def, think that would stand up to tyranitars earthquake?
or Spd and Def, so he tops tyranitar spd and gets to hit him with earthquake, but would the stab and super effective be enough to drop a tyranitar?

this requires research, i have questions to awnser seeing as how ive never used dugtrio.

Lord Mike June 19th, 2006 3:14 PM

Dude, I hate to break it to you, but Tyranitar will hammer Dugtrio even with maxed out Defense. Its HP stinks and it would take a the very most two Earthquakes, even though it should take one.

No, the STAB and Super Effective wouldn't be enough to OHKO Tyranitar without Attack EVs. Tyranitar probably has around 270 Defense and Earthquake wouldn't be enough without any Attack EVs.

gerudodragon1 June 19th, 2006 3:39 PM

im happy i never use dugtrio. there has to be someway to take advantage of his ability usefully. im determined to find it.

CBduggy is the best you can do to unleash it because of its mediocre attack stat, but basicly its made to pick off weakened pokemon

Lord Mike June 19th, 2006 4:07 PM

The thing that makes Dugtrio so good is Arena Trap because if its facing a Salamence you could use Rock Slide and guarntee he won't switch out.

Fr0st June 19th, 2006 4:09 PM

Rong!!!
Pokemon that are flying types or resist Ground type moves are immune to Arena trap
(Sala, Zap, Claydol, etc...)

EDIT: Haha beat you to it Rubberbandman

Salamence is a part flying so it can switch out Lol

gerudodragon1 June 19th, 2006 4:13 PM

say, what if CB is on dugtrio, you guys think that theres anyway he could withstand tyranitars earthquake and then OHKO him? if the EV's are right i mean.

Lord Mike June 19th, 2006 4:23 PM

Well, you'll have to give Dugtrio a lot of HP, Attack, Defense, and Speed EVs and I'm afraid there's not enough to go around. :(

gerudodragon1 June 19th, 2006 4:31 PM

dammit there has to be a way.

what other pokemon besides trapinch have arenatrap?

Lord Mike June 19th, 2006 5:00 PM

I don't think there's anymore. :\

aragornbird June 19th, 2006 5:31 PM

~*^*~~*^*~ ~*^*~ ~*^*~ ~*^*~~*^*~

Dugtrio, Diglett, and Trapinch are the only ones. And only noobs give Dugtrio Defense EVs. You’re not supposed to switch Dugtrio in unless you know the opponent isn’t going to attack (like Blissey or Celebi). You’re supposed to weaken your opponent, let your opponent kill you, and THEN send in Dugtrio to finish them off.

i feel like arena trap went to waste. and now i like dugtrio even less.

his purpose seems logical but i dont think ill ever use him.

but hey what can you expect from a trio of gingerbread sticks.

Duggy is good because of Arena Trap seems your underestimating him. He makes things like Celebi killable without hax.

You probably don't know how to use Arena Trap to your advantage. :\

why, YoMama, thats very hypocritical of you.

but im not saying dugtrio is bad. i just rather use the space on my team differently.

Lathspell June 20th, 2006 11:50 PM

Lol, gerudodragon1, if you really want that trapping so much and you can stand the swearing, just use Wobbufet :P. He has the HP to stand to anything, then Counter or Mirror Coat it right back. But Wobby is really lame. Also, he's an Uber, if I'm not mistaking...

gerudodragon1 June 22nd, 2006 5:13 AM

wobby is uber. i dont want any ubers on my team.

Lord Mike June 22nd, 2006 5:57 AM

That's fine, but you can stop wining about how in your opinion Dugtrio went to waste. The thing is Synchronize can probably use Dugtrio to his advantage.

gerudodragon1 June 22nd, 2006 6:43 AM

oh ya i completely forgot this was a RMT forum. oops

but ya he can prolly give duggy a run for his money.

husk1442 June 22nd, 2006 8:32 AM

Dugtrio can take a max attack cb rockslide from tyranitar or you can always switch it in as they switch in their tyranitar, so dugtrio doesn't get hit.
