World Champion 2006
Which deck you think will be the world champion 2006?
~Discuss~ In my oppinion: 1st: Espycham 2nd: BSL 2rd: Zap-turn-dos |
I think it'll be an out-of-the0blue deck that very, very few people have ever heard of before. I love it when things like that happen.
At the same time, I want it to be BSL so I can buy the limited-edition WC2006 deck. :D |
15+
1st: Jumpluff D 2nd: LBS 3rd: Dragtrode 4th: LBS 11-14 1st: Liability 2nd: LBS 3rd: Powdacham 4th: LBS 10-under 1st: LBS 2nd: SMP 3rd: Zappy 4th: Eeveeloution |
Just had a thought, if this year's Championship is Deoxys onwards, the Blastoise ex won't be legal, will it? Or is this year's championshop still HL-on?
|
You people always think to archetypical.

LBS doesn't suck. Nuh-uh. No way. It's gotta be one of the best decks ever created.
|
Its so sorry to ask this, but could anyone tell me in details what is LBS? it looks like a famous one.
|
LBS is one of the greatest decks ever, created by Jeremy Maron - 2005 World Champion. It stands for Lugia ex, Blastoise ex, Steelix ex.
Pokemon 2 Onix RR 2 Steelix ex 3 Pidgey RG 2 Pidgeotto RG 3 Pidgeot RG 3 Lugia ex 2 Squirtle (Sleepy Ball) 1 Wartortle RG 2 Blastoise ex Trainers 4 Celio's Network 4 Rare Candy 4 Power Tree 4 Copycat 4 Dual Ball 2 Rocket's Admin. 2 Steven's Advice 1 Pokémon Retriever Energy 10 Water Energy 4 Holon's Electrode 1 Holon's Magneton Apparently unbeatable. Here's Maron's description of the deck. "Basically the strategy is to get Pidgeot out ASAP. That's the reason for the 3/2/3 line, so then you can search for whatever else you need. Then you get Blastoise ex into play, and then either Steelix ex or Lugia ex depending on what you're up against. With Blastoise ex's Energy Rain you can play multiple W Energy onto either Lugia ex or Steelix ex, then play a Holon's Electrode/Magneton, pick up a W Energy, then either do 200 damage if you want to KO their Active immediately, or power do 100 to anything in play with Steelix. Holon's Electrode/Magneton provides the Fire/Water for Elemental Blast, and the 2 Metal Energy for Steelix's Mudslide. The reason for the high number of Lugia ex is it's a pretty good Pokemon to start the game off with. You can start attaching 1 energy a turn from turn 1 on so just in case you don't get Blastoise into play very fast you'll still be able to do Elemental Blast by turn 3. Plus if your opponent wants to attack it they're risking their Energy going back into their hand by Lugia ex's Poke-Body Silver Sparkle. Now that Legend Maker prereleases have started, Power Tree is a good stadium for this deck. You'll never have special energy cards in your discard since the Holons don't count as one while they're in your discard pile, so you can get back those Water Energy you've been discarding. So anyway with Pidgeot on your bench you'll be able to search out the Holon's Electrode/Magneton needed to attack with Lugia ex or Steelix each turn. You might ask "How are you supposed to get 6 prizes with only 5 Holon's Energy?" That's what Pokemon Retriever is for. Get back the Holons if you need em, or any other Pokemon you might need at that time. You also might ask "Why are you using 4 Holon's Electrode and only 1 Magneton"? Well I think Electrode looks cooler." |
I guess Worlds 2207 will be seeing much more news than this one. The fact is that, even if new sets come out, unless they have amazing cards, people will only start focusing on them when the old, main set are Modified-OFF.

Zappy?!?!? that deck not even gonna make top cut at worlds, the deck is just bad, 1st will prolley be somthing rougish, maybe BLS or R-L. so in all id say:
1) Rouge 2) BLS (i will be playing this at worlds) 3) Rock Lock |
10-
1)RK9 11-14 1) Rogue but probably LBS 15+ 1) ROUGE that everybody will copy after worlds if it is still legal |

Jeremy pssh lame excuse for a pokemon player. LBS is bad because 1) LBS is not consistent. Anytime one of you freaking gambling addicts T1's a Pidgeot on me I cringe. It makes me sick when someone T1's a Pidgeot. Not only is it ridiculously improbable, but if you DON'T get it immediately, you're simply going to lose both quickly & decisively if your opponent is anything above retarded. 2) LBS gets raped by Roselia. I don't care how many Switch you freaking gambling addicts run, either someone's sticking a Frontier or Solrock on you and your Blastoise is coming up. If you KO it, Mewtric and Luna/Sol can do it again. 3) LBS loses to Rock Lock. Some of you freaks think LBS beats Rock Lock. 90% of players are bad at this game. 4) LBS loses to Luna/Sol. I can't stand when people try to TECH against Luna/Sol. Your deck is too inconsistent to add 1/1 Crawdaunt ex. You freaking gambling addicts make me sick! 5) LBS loses to Mewtric. Roselia sways the match in favor of Mewtric. Again, your best option: Hope they're bad and don't know when and when not to Disconnect you. Sadly, this usually works. 6) LBS loses to Mew Lock. Yes, I'm afraid it does. As for beating it in swiss, I don't even think that works anymore, because if you take a turn longer than 5 seconds, some random judge who hasn't even played the game in his life will immediately issue you a prize penalty and a 15 minute time extension. 7) LBS Mirror = teh lame The LBS Mirror is the most retarded game to ever watch. The first Mudslide is not only almost ALWAYS the win, but completely luck-oriented into who pulls it off first. Not all mirrors are skill-oriented, but having a luck-oriented mirror is not a bonus. 8) LBS is one card short of a win constantly. Against decks like Dragtrode & Nidoqueen you will constantly be one card away from an effective turn. Because of Desert Ruins, your Quick Search will often have to be on the crucial stadium, or the Holon's Castform/Magneton. 9) LBS was lucky at Nats. |
Dude those decks all suck. Seriously, those cards are all but worthless ever since then put out Digimon II cards. I mean seriously. But I guess you n00bs wouldn't really understand.

+15 National Champion US deck was SD. SD means secret deck. It was a deck with raichu, exeggutor & marowak.
|
no it wasnt. learn the facts.
It was Raichu d and Exeggutor d OR Raichu d and Marowak d. The Raichu Eggs being WAY more superior to Raichu Wak. I have the REAL decklist for Raichu Eggs. *evil laugh* |
LBS =Too situational.
Anything can win. We just have to wait and see. |

I guess people discuss what people know... But it would be awesome it the winner deck was a completely unknown, completely new and odd to most strategy. Also, the Decks around Mew ex have many chances to win but LBS, even though, since everyone knows it and it's strategy, will have many obstacles, it's also a strong candidate. |
With Pidgeot QuickSearch almost any deck can be good. It one of the main cards of this format. Mostly thedeck would be slow without it and collapse.
Also. Since when does pokemon still have a CC? Come on now. >_____________> |
CC stands for??
And I agree with you about Quick Search Pidgeot! |
CC? What now?
I always use Pidgeot...it's in pretty much all my decks. Well, 75% of them. |

Jumpluff D has to do with jumpluff trr but the Delta comes from Pidgeot D theirs some more stuff in the deck but im not gonna post a list. People have been winning GC's with this deck...Most notably the Oklahoma GC. Fulop won with it. the reason it does so well and (i beleive ) will win worlds is becuz of its GODLY LBS matchup had enough? =/ |
this forum is just too n00by filled....
LBS WASNT created by Jermy Maron. And tormantedsoul AKA banned leaker NO MATTER WHAT CRAP U TYPE ABOUT LBS ... IT STILL WINS =/ 1. Doesnt matter how inconsistant the deck is...IT STILL WINS 2.roselia = minor pain 3. Rocklocks own incoonsistancy rapes itself =/ 4. Most LBS decks play space center and a ninjask TecH line... 5. Mewtric is a joke NO ONE Plays the crappy deck. its so dependant on a good start if it doesnt get it ,its DEAD. Ure points 6-9 are retarted so theirs no reason to combat them.... |
Sceptilerancher- Sure nobody plays Mewtric -_-
Anyway, LBS way too easy to beat. Take out the little Squirts gg sir gg. Sure Pokemon retriver, but who cares. Also, umm I guess you haven't seen the West Coast Rock-Lock if you say it's way too inconsistant. |
ok now that im much more calm ill type a response XD
Mewtric is DEFINATLY one of the lesser played archtypes. also sometimes u cant take out the squirtles. It all depends on the matchup... i admit rocklock is gaining popularity and no i havent seen westcoast RL since i live on the East coast. |
well with worlds next week and I would like to make a few predictions:
1. Mew Ex(LM) NOT in winning deck 2. I will Top 32 some event(forgot name though ;) ) 3. Mercury will BREAK the after worlds(if played right) 4. Here's a hint for 3, it has Ray* 5. DX will have somebody Top 8 something. 6. I will 3-Peat as the prerealease champ |
Welp Worlds is over.
15+ Winner: Mewtrick (US) 11-14 Winner: Lunasol (FIN) 10- Winner: LBS (JAP) |
Did I not say LBS was a winner? Did I not, people? Am I not the psychic one with the eye of psychicness that said that LBS would win the World Championships?
Do not doubt the all-seeing eye! He is watching you! Yes, YOU! And sceptilerancher, did Mewtric not win the 15+ Championship? Did It Not? Indeed it did! If I were king of PokéCommunity I would order you to eat your words, but Alas! I am not. *Gets hit over head with frying pan* I object! *Gets hit over head with tennis racket* Much better. |
Under 10's? Not exactly the top strategists. At least it won something ¦D
