Leaf Green Team - Preparing for the Elite Four...

Hey guys, just needed some advice - my Leaf Green team is as follows:

Level 57 Venusaur
Nature: Bashful
Razor Leaf
Giga Drain
Solarbeam
Frenzy Plant
(Holding Amulet Coin)

Level 52 Dewgong
Nature: Naughty
Blizzard
Rest
Surf
Ice Beam
(Holding Cleanse Tag)

Level 52 Moltres
Nature: Jolly
Fire Spin
Fire Blast
Fly
Flamethrower
(Holding Quick Claw)

Level 50 Zapdos (in training)
Nature: Impish
Thunder
Agility
Detect
Drill Peck
(Holding Exp. Share)

Level 43 Snorlax (also in training)
Nature: Calm
Body Slam
Metronome
Rest
Sleep Talk

For the last spot, I can either train a Abra up, or use my Nidoking and train him up.

Thanks in advance!

Well, the fact is you should never use two moves of the same type on one pokemon, never use two turn attack moves and never use Solarbeam without Sunny Day. You broke all those rules. 4 Grass attacks??? NO.

Level 52 Dewgong @ Leftovers
Sheer Cold/Encore/Perish Song
Rest/Horn Drill
Surf
Ice Beam

It doesn't get better moves. It gets two OHKO moves, but it doesn't get sleep talk. It's plain lame.

Level 52 Moltres @ Leftovers/Charcoal
Fire Blast
Sunny Day
Overheat
Aerial Ace/Substitute/Toxic

Now this thing really doesn't get any moves. It's Sp.Atk. is very nice, but it only gets Fire attacks to spend it on...That's why Charcoal is even an option there, but Lefties are better.

Level 50 Zapdos @ Leftovers
Thunderbolt
Rest
Light Screen/Thunder Wave/Sleep Talk

Drill Peck

Level 43 Snorlax @ Leftovers
Double-Edge/Return/Body Slam
Shadow Ball/Earthquake
Fire Blast/Earthquake
Selfdestruct

Leftovers is a must.

For the last spot, I can either train a Abra up, or use my Nidoking and train him up.

Use Nidoking, for Christ sake, you have enough special attackers as is.

Nidoking @ Salac Berry/Choice Band
Sludge Bomb
Earthquake
Brick Break
Shadow Ball

Thanks in advance!

Lose Dewgong...Starmie or even Lapras are better. But Starmie rulz :P

Meh, this is a team that was mostly recommended by my friend...

He has practically the same, and he seems to 1hko everything in the Elite Four o-0

Thanks for the advice, I feel cheated out of my Blastoise now (I traded it for Venusaur from him)

This is ingame, you have all the advantages and the computer has none. You could beat the Elite 4 with one pokemon if his level is high enough and his moves are decent. But this team is far better.

Don't feel sorry for Blastoise, Venusaur is way better. And it's much more easy to find a good water pokemon (Starmie, Slowbro, Kingdra etc) than a good grass one (which the only decent one IMO is Exeggcutor and Vileplume is nice...).

Starmie @ Leftovers
Surf

Rapid Spun
Recover

Level 52 Moltres @ Leftovers

Sunny Day
Flamethower
HP [Ice]
Agility

Level 50 Zapdos @ Leftovers

Substitute

Alakazam @ Leftovers

Calm Mind
Psychic
Fire Punch
Thunderpunch / Ice Punch

Anything works in-game. You could have beaten the E4 with your sets.

Ok, this may sound stupid...but where can I come by all those leftovers!?

Thanks for the help, I've caught a Staryu and I'll begin to level that up =)

~*^*~~*^*~ ~*^*~ ~*^*~ ~*^*~~*^*~

You can get two free Leftovers in the game. As for the rest…well, you’re gonna have to trade from R/S/E. =\

Where are the two free ones?

I know I have some leftovers on Sapphire, but we are moving house, and it is already packed...

Use the itemfinder on the spot where the two Snorlax were.

Toothache June 28th, 2006 3:06 AM

Only one of the Snorlax spots gives you Leftovers.

EDIT: I played through Leaf Green again in order to check this, I was wrong, you can get two sets of Leftovers this way.
