Another Bad Team That is in Need of Help

I've never lost a battle with this team. I was even fighting NetBattle experts with OU teams and beating them, though we all have our moments.

Ampharos (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Static
EVs: 196 HP / 80 Atk / 168 Def / 16 SAtk / 48 SDef
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Fire Punch
- Focus Punch
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt

I decided to go defensive with this guy. The lack of Speed helps my Subpunch plan work to its full potential.

Meganium (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 156 HP / 164 Atk / 92 Def / 4 Spd / 92 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Rock]
- Return
- Swords Dance

I decided to try something new. I've always used Meganium as a pure staller but using this thing is interesting.

Azumarill (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Huge Power
EVs: 236 HP / 112 Atk / 140 Def / 4 Spd / 16 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Brick Break
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Return
- Rollout

Huge Power gives this guy 360 Attack which is enough when you have Choice Band. Its Defenses aren't half bad so I gave it 400 HP with a few Defense EVs.

Cradily (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Suction Cups
EVs: 228 HP / 116 Def / 28 SAtk / 136 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Confuse Ray
- Giga Drain
- Recover
- Toxic

I can't make this thing offensive even after what I did to Meganium. Toxicstall Cradily is good in UU because of the lack of Steel-types like Metagross and Skarmory.

Magmar (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flame Body
EVs: 176 HP / 128 Def / 128 SAtk / 76 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Barrier
- Flamethrower
- Psychic
- Thunderpunch

I'm clueless here. I need help.

Hariyama (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Guts
EVs: 164 HP / 64 Atk / 104 Def / 176 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Brick Break
- Earthquake
- Return
- Rock Slide

I gave it 470 HP and 200 Defense and Special Defense. It works well in UU.

Tell me what you think.

Nothing you have can switch in on Machamp.

Pyrotechnix July 1st, 2006 6:07 PM

I must concur, Machamp takes his four arms and hugs this team tightly. You also have something of a Flying-type attack weak (!)

More like holds you with one and beats you with the other three, then once you can't move he beats you with all four.

I agree Machamp gets an erection seeing this team

Because Netbattle randomly doesn't work for me anymore, I can't post any EVs, but I'll give you a couple of movesets that have worked just fine with me.

Ampharos (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Static
EVs: 196 HP / 80 Atk / 168 Def / 16 SAtk / 48 SDef
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Fire Punch/Hidden Power [GRASS]
- Focus Punch
- Substitute/Counter
- Thunderbolt

I decided to go defensive with this guy. The lack of Speed helps my Subpunch plan work to its full potential.

Go with Counter over Substitute if you know how to predict.

Meganium (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 156 HP / 164 Atk / 92 Def / 4 Spd / 92 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Rock]
-Leech Seed/Giga Drain
- Swords Dance

I decided to try something new. I've always used Meganium as a pure staller but using this thing is interesting.

Use Leech Seed or Giga Drain over Return, please. You should use Relaxed or Sassy nature, imo. But whatever floats your boat.

Azumarill (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Huge Power
EVs: 236 HP / 112 Atk / 140 Def / 4 Spd / 16 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Brick Break
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Return/Double-edge/Body Slam
- Hydro Pump/Iron Tail

Huge Power gives this guy 360 Attack which is enough when you have Choice Band. Its Defenses aren't half bad so I gave it 400 HP with a few Defense EVs.

This poor guy has a very limited movepool, but why Rollout? You're making little Lileeps cry. ;-; Brave nature if you're going to use Hydro Pump. Body Slam for para hax. I prefer Double-edge.

Cradily (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Suction Cups
EVs: 228 HP / 116 Def / 28 SAtk / 136 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Confuse Ray/Mirror Coat
- Giga Drain/Barrier
- Recover
- Toxic

I can't make this thing offensive even after what I did to Meganium. Toxicstall Cradily is good in UU because of the lack of Steel-types like Metagross and Skarmory.

But you're still battling OU teams, right? I'm not a big fan of Toxistall Cradily, but it does work. But against OU teams I would suggest:

Cradily @ Leftovers
EVs in HP, Defenses and Sp.Atk (as I mentioned before, Netbattle isn't working so I can't check out the EVs I used. <.<)
Quiet nature (+ Sp.atk, - Speed)
- Hidden Power [FIRE]
- Rock Slide
- Recover
- Mirror Coat/Barrier

With enough Sp.Atk EVs, Cradily can 3 hit KO Skarm and a couple of Rock Slides should be enough to KO Salamence. Mirror Coat ruins Alakazam's and other Special sweepers' fun.

Magmar (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flame Body
EVs: 176 HP / 128 Def / 128 SAtk / 76 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Barrier/Hidden Power [GRASS/ICE]
- Flamethrower
- Focus Punch/Counter
- Thunderpunch

I'm clueless here. I need help.

I suggest you replace Magmar with:

Grumpig @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs in Hp, Special Defense, Special Attack and some in Defense
Bold (+ Atk, - Def)

- Psychic
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Fire Punch/Ice Punch/Thunderpunch

With Thick Fat, this thing is a killer. You won't believe how many times I have LOLed at Alakazams with this thing.

Hariyama (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Guts
EVs: 164 HP / 64 Atk / 104 Def / 176 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Brick Break
- Earthquake
- Return
- Rock Slide

I gave it 470 HP and 200 Defense and Special Defense. It works well in UU.

Tell me what you think.

I think you should put Sleep Talk in here somewhere.

Your team seems to lack a (p)hazer. Walrein works very well as one, imo.

Walrein @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick fat
Enough EVs to give it 404 HP and the rest spread between Sp.Atk and both defense.
Bold nature (+Def - Atk)

- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [GRASS]
- Substitute
- Roar.

Ampharos (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Static
EVs: 196 HP / 80 Atk / 168 Def / 16 SAtk / 48 SDef
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Fire Punch
- Focus Punch
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt

Why would you want Subpunch in UU? HP Grass and Heal Bell or Thunder Wave over Fire and Focus Punch

Meganium (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 156 HP / 164 Atk / 92 Def / 4 Spd / 92 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Rock]
- Return
- Swords Dance

Swords Dance/Earthquake/Body Slam/ Giga Drain. More HP, no need for Defences

Azumarill (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Huge Power
EVs: 236 HP / 112 Atk / 140 Def / 4 Spd / 16 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Brick Break
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Return
- Rollout

Hydro Pump>Rollout. HP>Defences

Cradily (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Suction Cups
EVs: 228 HP / 116 Def / 28 SAtk / 136 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Confuse Ray
- Giga Drain
- Recover
- Toxic

Earthquake/HP Rock/Recover/Toxic. More HP and Attack. Relaxed Nature

Magmar (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flame Body
EVs: 176 HP / 128 Def / 128 SAtk / 76 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Barrier
- Flamethrower
- Psychic
- Thunderpunch

Fire Blast/HP Ice/Substitute/Thunder Punch. 252 Speed/252 Sp. Attack with Modest.

Hariyama (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Guts
EVs: 164 HP / 64 Atk / 104 Def / 176 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Brick Break
- Earthquake
- Return
- Rock Slide

Cross Chop/Rock Slide/HP Ghost/Focus Punch. More Attack and Impish sucks. Always give a pokemon a Nature that raises its highest stat excluding HP

Huge CB pokemon weak. You still can't make teams
