The BOAHZard
I've seen a lot of this.
-Belly Drum -Substitute -Aeriel Ace/Hidden Power [Flying] -Earthquake I've way too much of this. -Aeriel Ace/Hidden Power [Flying] -Fire Blast -Swords Dance -Earthquake I haven't been playing NetBattle as long as you guys so I don't know if you even use BOAHZard. I'm still thinking up the right EVs. Charizard (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Blaze Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd) - Substitute - Focus Punch - Flamethrower - Dragon Claw / Hidden Power [Ice] This thing like BOAH Tyranitar rip through SkarmBliss. HP Ice if you want to OHKO Salamence or Dragon Claw for power. |

The problem with Charizard is that it can’t make 101 HP Subs like Tyranitar can. That is essential for Substitutes that can survive two Seismic Tosses from Blissey. Otherwise, this “Boahzard” will be unable to Focus Punch since its Subs keep getting broken in one hit. Also, unlike Tyranitar, Charizard's defenses are shabby so a -Speed Nature would hurt it. It would do better with a -Defense or -Sp. Defense nature. ~*^*~~*^*~ ~*^*~ ~*^*~ ~*^*~~*^*~ |
I actually found out that lacking Speed is good with Subpunch. You use your move second the opponent doesn't keep breaking your Substitutes right after you make them. You will charge up first the next turn, they'll break the Substitute, but you won't flinch.
|
You can give it 303 hp, but would kinda suck .-.
|
This is BOAHzard
~Sword Dance ~Brick Break ~Flamethrower ~Hidden Power [Grass] With spikes support you can take out suicune and Hidden Power [Grass] for Pert switch ins... SD+BB special walls and flamethrower skarm/forry |

Zard can't keep a sub up against anything except a grass attack...So it won't be acting as a Boah anytime soon. |
Why would you want to try to counter Skarmbliss when everything already does?
|
Pax wins the thread imo. Skarmbliss are countered nowadays.
|
Uh yeah, Keep a Maggy or something else on the team, Use EQ over flamethrower on Frost's so you get more Coverage or else, Raikou will beat it out.
|
JirChamp>all.
Also Revenge ftw? |
Yeah taht's revvy ranndomly joining and posting .-.
|
The most effective SubPunching Zard set I've ever seen was Floppy Disk's setup..I don't have the EVs, but it was something like SubPunch/Fire Blast/HP Grass, and with good prediction it would run through things using I think somewhere around 308 spd (!)
|
I must admit that the SDZard is boring and out-of-style these days.

I forgot. Do you have a brain? I'm just saying that its cool to see someone actually doing something different. SDZard got very boring.
|
so everything with subpunch must automaticly have a 'Boah' prefix now?
|
lol boahloom.
Also Fr0st and firebolt stop fighting :| Btw starmie, they mean it since it has subpunchthunderbolt/flamethrower abilities, which counter skarmbliss. |
needs more sarcasm detector
|
Needs less sucky sarcasm.

Whatever. Charizard sort of sucks so nothing more to say here. |
jc_rcw is just suggesting not modding... And iz ok cause we respect him enough to listen
Charizard does not suck... Ever tried using Bellyzard+Bulky Water Counter as it rips through standard teams very easily |

Bellyzard was a monster back in 200 play, but with berries activating at 25% now instead of 50%, it has been relegated to novelty use. I have only used SDZard. I haven't ever tried a SubPunch variant. Thanks for the info, Pyro. |
I you can manage to SD up with Charizard in OU then with good speed you can rip through even bulky waters.
|
Quote:
imo you're on about early 386 on the old RSbot, which is where berries activated at 50% until it was fixed when 386 became more popular then 200 |
Then things like Milotic came along and ruin Bellyzard's fun. :(
