Slaking (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Truant
EVs: 196 HP / 108 Atk / 196 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Aerial Ace
- Focus Punch
- Hyper Beam
- Shadow Ball

Quagsire (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Atk / 120 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Counter
- Earthquake
- Haze
- Sludge Bomb

Tyranitar (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 SAtk
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Focus Punch
- Rock Slide
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt

Celebi @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 116 HP / 196 Def / 4 Spd / 36 SAtk / 156 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Heal Bell
- Leech Seed
- Psychic
- Recover

Magneton @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Rest
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt

Dusclops (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SDef
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Night Shade
- Pain Split
- Psych Up
- Will-O-Wisp

CB BeamKing is very hot. Quaggy is just a beast to kill, and things like Dus and BOAH and Mag are pretty much standard for this team.

Fix obv.

Huh? Max Speed and Attack. Hyper Beam Slaking fails on the recharge. Earthquake is better than Aerial Ace as a STABed Return does more damage than a supereffective Aerial Ace.

Quagsire (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Atk / 120 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Counter
- Earthquake
- Haze

Quagsire =O
While Water Absorb is cool, people use Swampert because its just so much better. If Water attacks bother you, its because you have no special wall so think about that.

Tyranitar (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 SAtk
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Focus Punch
- Rock Slide
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt

Fake Boah? It could surprise. Still, the real Boah works better. This one can't handle Claydol.

Celebi @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 116 HP / 196 Def / 4 Spd / 36 SAtk / 156 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Heal Bell
- Leech Seed
- Psychic
- Recover

Preferably more speed instead of SDef. I like my Psychic Celebis to outspeed Heracross in case they need to.

Magneton @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Substitute/Metal Sound

- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt

lol, whats with the HP and Defense? It's still gonna die to one Earthquake regardless. Max out Sp.Atk and split the rest between HP and Speed. Also, Rest fails as Magneton isn't durable enough to use it. HP Fire, it's supereffective against Grass AND OKOs Forretress.

Dusclops (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SDef
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Night Shade
- Pain Split
- Focus Punch
- Will-O-Wisp

Lol, Timid? It's not like Dusclops is gonna outspeed anything important. Don't max out SDef, it needs Def EVs too. Psych Up is pretty useless, it won't have much use for Curse, Dragon Dance, Swords Dance, Calm Mind, etc. because its only attack is Night Shade. Give it a little more Attack for Focus Punch please.

Hyper Beam means you can't switch out and then Fighting types go BYEBYE Slaking so you should use Double-Edge mmmk. HP [Flying] is 10 points stronger than Aerial Ace but you should be using Earthquake

Quagsire (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Atk / 120 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Counter
- Earthquake
- Haze
- Sludge Bomb

OK... Eww Quagsire sucks when you can use Swampert

Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP / 16 Atk / 136 Def / 100 SAtk / 16 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Protect/Hidden Power [Bug]
- Toxic/Hydro Pump

Tyranitar (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 SAtk
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Focus Punch
- Rock Slide/Crunch/Hidden Power [Grass]
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt

Just use Boah... Take the EVs out of Defence and Put some in Spd I think and some In Sp.Atk

Celebi @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 240 HP / 148 Def / 8 Spd / 56 SAtk / 56 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Heal Bell
- Leech Seed
- Psychic
- Recover

OK so if a pokemon can reach 400 EVs then give it 401 so that it can survive an extra seismic toss and what not ok... Plus HP before the defences

Magneton @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 188 HP / 68 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)

- Hidden Power [Fire/Grass]
- Substitute
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt

Fire for Forretress and Grass for Swampert... Rest could work since u got bi but it's not gna live through attacks... I hate your EVs

Dusclops (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 56 Atk / 48 Def / 44 Spd / 108 SDef
Careful (+SpDef, -SAtk)

- Focus Punch
- Pain Split
- Shadow Ball/Seismic Toss/Night SHade
- Will-O-Wisp

Needs Sp.Def as ur team lacks

CB BeamKing is very hot. Quaggy is just a beast to kill, and things like Dus and BOAH and Mag are pretty much standard for this team.

Well it wasnt to bad but you should read the EV guide stickied in this forum as you need help in that catagory

starmie fighter July 6th, 2006 4:11 PM

everything on this team is 2hko'd by starmie except quagsire, which isn't exactly threatening

edit: ok slaking isn't 2hko'd, but it isn't exactly a reliable switch into starmie

Flame Demon July 6th, 2006 5:10 PM

Double-Edge if you want to OHKO Milotic.

Return isn't too much worse though. I've learned from experience that the recoil isn't always worth it.

I'm guessing Frost suggested HP Bug for Celebi.

Put the Defense EVs on BOAH into Attack.

Toothache July 7th, 2006 12:38 AM

My old monoground team used Quagsire with great success.

[email protected]
Trait: Water Absorb
EV: 56 HP/252 Att/112 Def/90 SpDef
Nature: Adamant
Yawn
Focus Punch
HP Ghost
Earthquake

Yawn messes up CMCune and forces switches, HP Ghost for Gengar. Best used with Spikes, to be honest. Still kinda fun though.

Pax Deorum July 7th, 2006 1:52 AM

Besides the EV spread being wrong, Focus Punch and Earthquake being pretty much useless together, the lack of Curse not making it hurt much and Yawnpunch being pretty much useless, yes I agree, it's a good set.

Give Quag Surf to have a shot at hurting Skarm.

Toothache July 7th, 2006 1:56 AM

Heh, so in essence it's not a great set. Meh, I had fun when I used him though.

Probably better to shift to Brave and go Surf > EQ. I couldn't remember the EVs I used offhand, although I did go a bit defensive with them.

Pax Deorum July 7th, 2006 2:42 AM

Why would you want it to lose its best STAB?

jc_rcw July 7th, 2006 3:19 PM

Just take the punch out D:

Flame Demon July 8th, 2006 6:33 AM

Quagsire is fine in UU but it doesn't survive well in OU.
