Earthquake sucks on Hera so don't use that. Attach a Choice Band and use Sleep Talk over Swords Dance and that is pretty much standard.

Yes, the general rule for Fighting Pokemon is not to put Ground attacks on them (unless they can’t learn anything better). Fighting is effective against some of the same types that Ground is (Rock and Steel), but Fighting attacks will always be stronger since you get STAB from them.

Yes, no QuakeSlide for Fighting-types unless its in-game and you can get anything. Slide, but no Quake.

Ignore Mullet. SD Hera is better ingame seeing you can only get Choice Band after the frontier

Ignore Pax as once you get CB it is much better than SD.

NAH in-game SD is better cause u can outspeed everything and ohko everything specially with a variety in moves

You don't even have to setup with CB and most everything ingame is pretty weak anyway.

Really though I don't even use CB on NB I use Stalker Hera which is awesome.

Heracross @ Leftovers ** REAGON SMASH
Trait: Guts
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Rest
- Megahorn
- Brick Break / Rock Slide
- Sleep Talk

Some like that I guess.

Flamman July 11th, 2006 10:01 AM

that's quite an idea flame demon. i would give it choice band with no rest and sleep talk, but rock slide and an hidden power with a type to support your teams weaknesses.

The whole point of StalkerCross is so that it can last longer than other Heracross sets. If you give it a Choice Band, you are turning it into a CBer, which is totally different.

StalkerCross is best IMO.

Pax Deorum July 11th, 2006 2:41 PM

Not ingame when you should go all out sweeping.

STOP SUGGESTING STALL SETS LIKE SUBSEED SCEPTILE AND BLISSEY WHEN THEY AREN'T WORTH THE TIME INGAME

Pax the real question is - can you give a definitive answer on how you feel about ingame stall sets because up until now things have been a little murky.<wink wink>I can't help but see all your answers so far have been in that fuzzy gray area.

Pax - I don't know you but you are the man. You are now my favorite poster, agree or disagree

COLD HARD FACT - you are hilarious.

Fr0st July 11th, 2006 5:21 PM

Even though I agree with Pax on using an all out sweeper for Heracross... I don't agree on not using stall sets. I still follow this quote no matter what

Let’s stop dividing sets from in-game and competitive because as soon as D/P comes out, there’s nothing stopping people from trading Pokemon from their GBA games to D/P and battling on WiFi. Soon, in-game will be competitive and suggesting all sweeping sets for every Pokemon is only going to reinforce bad habits for the noobs.
