Ok, I'll thicken out his legs if you like. I don't mind you editing my sprite at all. All I did to make it was by going over a picture of the size comparison. Also the new screens released will help with the battle editing. It should be easier to do then the old ones.

Wow this is looking awesome.
I can't wait to see the houses, but will they be difficult to implement, considering the angle that D/P has. The Diamond Sprite however, seems a bit off. It's mostly the arms and waist, but there are other small things too (such as his bag). @ Blazichu: Your sprite looks really out of proportion In addition, have you done any Pearl sprites? |
No I've not done any pearl ones yet, I'm going to continue redoing that sprite so forget it exists. Yeah the houses are hard, considering it keeps freezing upon insertion whilst repointing. More updates later.

Good point thats why I'm releasing it soon. Anyway, do you really think we're going to be able to hack it straight away. Also I've fixed the sprite for definate. You'll just have to wait for the beta to see it [not too long, I promise]. I've just used the firered pose.

Well, first of all, there is no DS Emulator that 'plays' more than a couple of DS Roms and tey are DEMO's! ... So no, .. not as soon they will be on internet... But maybe, one day.. And then it's still hard, I think we need to do everything in hex, because the tiles need more than a normal Mapeditor. Correct me when I'm wrong .. |
I wasn't asking, I was making a point really. But thanks for explaining it, it's because the idea of this thread was to provide people wit a D/p equivalent on GBA, so we could create the games rather than struggling with it, but thanks for explaining it.

Even if it was disproportionate, that sprite did actually look better. The game looks like it's coming along great. Keep it up.

However, these both contain 23 colours. The third one has been reduced to 16 colours, but I thinks it looks terrible. The fourth one has also been reduced to 19 colours. Anyways use how you wish. Anywho, I went off and made a Pearl sprite as well, but it has 30 colours - I couldn't be bothered in trying to reduce it. http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/1821/pearl7nz.png I made two different versions as you can see - one is Green (FR/LG Heroine), and the other is a R/S/E character (I dunno the name). No poses were changed either. Also, about your banner thing, Wolt was kinda right before. You shouldn't be using it to advertise. Instead, you should create a banner or something that displays how much effort has been put into the hack, like with a OW screenie or something. |

Ther good - not as good as ur diamond one but nintendo have released one in one of the screens. Chris-h11 are you refering to ray.z or my overworlds, if thats the case it's because it's in a different perspective to ruby, so some old sprites are still there, they're an exact replica (-1 pixel) from the screens and I'm making the rest to the same scale

and the ds comment... aren't one of them (D/P) going to be on GBA? maybe i read it wrong, but it's great that you're doing this anyway. i don't think DS will ever have a full-functioning emulator, but then again, i don't know much... |

wicked i love this its so cool erm i am having that database problem it take ages for this page to load but other websites take like 1 sec :( oh well great hack and nice screens

Everyones having it due to that 1000 of URL request thing. I've sorted a way to do the starters now anyway, seen as how it's a briefcase, I'll justedit the bag event and stick it in the lab. So you can edit it as normal. Starter requests anyone?

Thanks Jeremy. My plan was to work through them steadily. Does anyone know why when I extendthe main tileset (1617) down and repoint, when I go on advancemaps block editor, it only goes to the tiles it would normally be? (Excludes the extended bit but alll other changes apppear) is this not possible?
